Psoriazisul este o boală cronică autoimună. Iată care sunt simptomele ☝🏻👨🏼⚕️

In this Romanian medical video, Dr. Mihail Pautov explains that psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune disease primarily affecting the skin. He describes the pathophysiology: the immune system accelerates the skin‑cell regeneration cycle, causing keratinocytes to multiply 7–10 times faster than normal, which leads to an accumulation of dead cells and the formation of thick, erythematous plaques covered by white, silvery scales. The most common locations are elbows, knees and scalp. He notes associated symptoms such as itching, discomfort and, in some patients, psoriatic arthritis characterized by persistent joint pain. Psoriasis follows a relapsing‑remitting course, with flare‑ups often triggered or worsened by stress, streptococcal infections, a pro‑inflammatory diet (high‑sugar drinks, fried foods, low intake of plants and antioxidants), certain medications (beta‑blockers, some anti‑inflammatories) and cold weather. Moderate sun exposure can be beneficial, whereas sunburns may exacerbate the condition. The video serves as an educational overview of psoriasis’s causes, clinical presentation, aggravating factors, and simple lifestyle considerations for patients.
