Short YouTube monologue by Donald Burns arguing that people habitually wear a mask and act hypocritically; freedom comes from deciding you have nothing to prove and committing to honesty and integrity. The speaker attributes judgment of others to ego, greed, and envy, and warns that fear undermines clear thought ("fear is the mind killer").
We all, at our fundamental core, are hypocrites. We wear a mask of who we want the world to see. We pretend that we're great when inside we suffer. Breaking free from this is when you decide that you have nothing to prove to others. You only need to be honest and true to yourself. And that starts with a little core value called integrity. So why do we judge others? It's quite simple. Our ego, greed and envy control us. They make us jealous and judgmental of others. We fear and throw shade at things that we feel threaten us. Fear is the mind killer.
