A short motivational monologue by Donald Burns arguing that personal growth is required to reach new levels in life and business. Burns states the ‘law of the universe’ that each new level requires a new version of yourself, warns that resisting growth delays success, and recommends coaches or mentors—quoting “The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.”
Allow me to share a thought with you that you know deep inside. If you want more out of life or out of your business, you have to become more. It's the law of the universe that for every new level in your life or business it will require a new version of you. Now you can try to fight this and resist it, but that just really delays your success and holds you hostage in your current situation. I'm going to share some other words of wisdom that I have to kind of pre frame with this quote. The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off. So here it is. If you could have reached that next level on your own, you would have done it already. That's why getting a coach or mentor is critical to elevating your game to the next level. Is it easy? No or everyone will be living the life that they want. Is it worth it? Definitely.
