Donald Burns delivers a brief first-person testimony describing a spiritual awakening and a newfound connection with God that revealed his true self beyond social expectations. He frames his previous behavior as wearing a mask that concealed his identity and issues a direct call to action for listeners to remove their masks and embrace authentic selves.
The more I prayed, the more I realized that God has a plan, has a version of me that he wants me to show the world. Let me tell you, that version doesn't fit into the neat little box of how they want you to be. This is a spiritual awakening, this connection with God. It's. It's really what finally set me free. I realized that the mask I was wearing wasn't just hiding me from the world. It was hiding me from myself. It is time to take off the mask. Will you embrace who you are, or you keep playing the same game? Let's go. Let's do this. Reach out. Let's make some changes.
