Short YouTube coach-client interview (Donald Burns with a participant) describing the participant’s struggles before joining the TRC coaching program (constant "firefighter" mode, lack of structure), the timeline of improvement (felt shifts immediately, with marked progress about three months in as tools were implemented), and the coach’s emphasis on identifying and correcting old habits and the importance of being coachable.

Before joining, like the TRC method and my coaching program, what was the biggest frustration or pain point that you felt?
I was constantly in firefighter mode. There was always a problem to be solved, and we were constantly just chasing our tails in that way. We had a lot of passion, we had some really good bones, but we didn't have the structure we needed.
When did you start noticing the shift about how far into the coaching program?
Your program's really powerful. I would say we started feeling a shift right. Right away, but like, our restaurant really started taking off. I would say three months into the program, once we really had some time to implement the tools that you.
It's usually. Yeah, most people usually, like. A lot of people come into the program, like, they think it's gonna be like a miracle thing, like overnight, you know, And I always. I warn people, like, listen, I got. We gotta correct. First we have to understand your old bad habits, and then we have to correct some of those old bad habits and then get you go in the right direction. That takes a little time, you know, but you've always like. And again, some people are just not coachable, and it's very, very hard to move them fast at all if they're not coachable. But you've been very, very coachable, and you're very, very open to ideas and stuff like that. You don't resist me, which is awesome. Don't fight and argue with me about stuff.
