Short YouTube transcript excerpt (dialogue) in which two speakers describe practical stress-management tactics for high-pressure moments: stepping back and deep breathing, quick venting via text, mentally separating facts from feelings, and a client ‘code word’ system that signals urgent contact. Speakers also note limits on immediate responsiveness because they may be on calls, podcasts, or trainings.
How do you handle stress? When that pressure hits that red line, you know you're about to throw punch people.
I try to step back, take some deep breaths.
Text me.
I'll text you. I'll vent, you know, quickly and try to move on, but, like, really try to separate, like, what are the facts and what are my feelings?
There you go. Yeah. And all my clients, too, but it's just sort of windows. Like, all my clients also have my personal cell phone number. So at any time they can text me. There's a code word. They text me. We're not going to say the code word. They can text me the code word. And that means I gotta get a hold of them right away. So there's a code word all my members have that they can get a hold of me that means, like, oh, I gotta get a hold of them right away.
Yes.
But. And I'll tell you right now, like, a lot of times people will text me the code word by the time I, you know, and a lot of times I'm on calls all day or doing podcasts or doing trainings by the time I get back to them. A lot of times, like, I thank you for calling me back when I figured, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
