Hey, Donald Burgess with a restaurant coach. Minute. You know, people ask me often, what does it take to get to the top of this business? And I tell them all the same thing. Getting to the top is relatively easy. This industry is filled with average, and it doesn't take much to get ahead of the average. Getting to the top requires consistency. Now, staying at the top, that's another beast. See, natural talent, skill and creativity backed by consistency will get you to the top, but it's your character that keeps you there. I hate to say this, but it took me a lot of trials and failures in my life to understand that. I've been to the top of the game a few times, and I've also fallen from the top a few times as well. It wasn't until I turned inward and focused on becoming a better person that I found the combination of to staying at the top of the game. Be humble, be grateful, be hungry to learn and grow. Those are the traits that are going to keep you at the top of any game.
