A short YouTube comment from Eric Deeran (Master Filmmaker) advising videographers against prioritizing buying expensive gear before learning the business side. The speaker describes a loop where buying gear doesn't yield clients, causing burnout, and offers a free workshop (comment “workshop”) that teaches a force-step system to get clients to fund gear purchases.
One of the biggest mistakes a lot of videographers make is they buy expensive gear like this before actually learning the business side of running their business. So what they do is they think, well, I'm not getting clients, so what I should do is go buy more gear. And then they get stuck in this perpetual loop of buying more gear, not getting more clients, wondering why they're not making more money, and they end up getting super burnt out and super frustrated. So instead of buying gear, learn how to get more clients so they can buy you more gear. If you want to learn how clients can buy you all this type of gear, comment the word workshop below and I'll send you a free workshop going over exactly how we use a force step system to get clients to buy us gear like this.
