Once I learned that buying more camera gear was not the way I was going to get more video clients, my business actually started to grow. Because what I did is I focused all my energy from buying camera gear to now getting a system in place that's going to get me new clients every single month. And once I figured that out, I could buy as much gear as I wanted because I had a machine that was pumping in clients every single month. And the big mistake a lot of video business owners and videographers make is, and I made personally myself, was that I focused on the gear and I thought the gear was going to make me more money when in reality the gear is just a small, small piece of it and you can always rent gear if you don't have gear. In the beginning, really what I needed to focus on myself, and maybe this is the same for other people, is I needed to focus on getting clients and building a machine that got me more clients.
