How Ben Closed $20K In One Week - Master Filmmaker Review

This is a short testimonial-style YouTube interview (Eric Deeran — Master Filmmaker interviewing client Ben) where Ben, a 21-year-old recent film-school graduate, describes how Eric's filmmaking-focused coaching helped him fix marketing and sales gaps and led to rapid results — notably closing $20,000 in one week. The conversation covers Ben's background, why he chose this program over general business coaches, which coaching elements helped (role-play, advanced calls, listening to peers), and his recommendation that others book a call.

What's going on, guys? I'm here with one of our clients, Ben, who actually just closed 20k in, what, the past week, dude. Savage out here.
Crazy week, dude.
I love it. And a lot of people don't know you're only 21, right? Like, you're. You're still young in the game, man.
Fresh out of college, graduated a little bit early, but. Yeah, still.
How does that. Dude, how does that work? I love it.
It's.
I mean, for anybody who maybe doesn't know you, I guess just give us a little bit of background on yourself and kind of how you got started. A little bit about your journey first.
Yeah, so I pretty much started in sports at my college. I went there for three and a half years. I just grinded. I worked as hard as I could outside of class. I really perfected the technical aspect of everything. And when I got done with school, which was last December, and this was film school, right? Yeah, this was media arts. When I got done with that, you know, I didn't have clients pouring in, you know, over my shoulder. So I. I felt like I was completely undervalued with the work that I was doing at the level I was doing it at. So that's where I kind of reached out to Eric. I had seen his ads, and now I'm here.
You talking about me? Dude, I love it. Yeah. What was I just in your feed so much that you're just like, I'm tired of seeing this guy's ads. I better. I better get him out of here.
Well, he was. I mean, you're saying all the things I needed to hear, and you had all the. All the lessons I needed to learn, and all the. The biggest thing is, like, there were so many questions that I didn't know I was supposed to be asking. I was able to join and find the answers to all the questions I didn't even know I was supposed to.
Be asking for sure. And I guess, like, what was kind of the biggest problem you had prior to joining with us? Like, what was that big? Was it just like, I don't even know how to structure the business at all? Was there, like, something specific?
I mean, I felt like I had a good understanding of. I had a great understanding of exactly how to run a camera, and I had a good understanding of some basic business principles, but I had no help in marketing or sales, and I've had hundreds of aha. Moments like that right there that have helped get me to, like, huge success. Within just a month of working, I.
Was going to Say you're just getting started, man. This is. This is small potatoes compared to where you're going to be. I promise you. And I know you. You may not see that yet, but I see that in you. And I know you're going to crush. I think it's going to be. It's going to be a very bright future for you, dude. I guess. Was there any reason why maybe you chose this program over maybe some of the other programs out there? Was there anything that really stood out to you?
I think this one was specifically for filmmakers. When I spoke with other people in the program, they saw my work and they saw the tremendous amount of work that I had put in to get to this point. So I didn't want to speak with just a coach about business in general. I wanted specific help within filmmaking because that's what I do. And you see a hundred testimonials, and I watched almost all of them because I wanted to be so sure because I was taking a huge, you know, a huge.
It's a big. Yeah, it's a big jump, dude.
Especially for someone who's just out of college, right?
Yes.
It was a huge. A huge investment that I had to make. So I watched as many testimonials as I could.
And now you're going to be on that page, too, man. How does it feel? How does it feel to be like I'm going to be one of those ones that you're watching now?
Feels great. That's all I can say. Just all that proof underneath, you know, the. What you're talking about, your program doing all of that proof helped me just have the confidence to. To be where I'm at now.
Well, I don't want to discount you because, like, we're just. We're just a servant to you. Like, you put in the work, you used the tools, you did the things you needed to do. I want to make that very clear for anybody else watching this too. Like, you have to show up and meet us halfway. We'll give you the tools, we'll show you what to do. But you're the one who took that, like, really implemented it. So I want to make that super clear for everybody as well.
You know, it's a lot of work. It is almost. It is a lot of work. Like, I. When I first started, I was like, oh, I'm just gonna speed, speedrun through these first couple weeks. No, it was too much work to get done in those first couple weeks.
Well, and it's. I think the thing is, is it really comes down to, like, anything worth having takes work, right? You don't want it to be easy because if it was easy, everyone in their and their mother would be a successful video business owner. But, like, there's a reason that the people who put in the work are the ones who make the money and succeed and the people who don't, don't, you know. And I think, like, that's really where it comes down to. You have a really good work ethic, and anybody who wants to be successful here has to have one because, like, it's just the beginning, but it really comes down to that work ethic for you, you know? I love it, man. I guess, like, was there anything so far? Because we're only like literally 30 days in with you at this point. Like, is there anything so far that's been particularly helpful, like working with us up. Up to this point?
I mean, there's been many things, I think doing role playing, specifically, you know, acting. Acting out, you know, customer scenarios and how you can pitch yourself, rightfully so, based off the work that you stand on, but do that in a digestible way for the consumer has been really helpful for me. Having the advanced coaching calls with you has been super helpful for me. Just sitting there and listening to other people deal with their problems has been super helpful for me. It's all been super helpful. It's hard to pinpoint one. I love it, man.
I guess. How do you feel now that you have this path forward? Like, do you feel like you can see a path forward for the business and, like, how does that feel right now?
Yeah. And to your last point, it made this idea come to mind is I've been telling everyone who asked me what I'm up to now because I just moved that I have for the first time, I have a pinpoint, like, action accurate view on exactly where I need to go to get my business to where I've always wanted it to be, whereas I've never had that. Like I said, I. I didn't know some of the questions I was supposed to be asking, so I would never be able to find answers. But now I feel like I. I have the roadmap and it's an incredible amount of work that's sitting in front of my desk right here. But now I know exactly what to do every day when I wake up to work on my business.
I love it, man. I guess. Where do you think you would have been if you hadn't maybe taken that jump? Because it's. I'm sure you. You felt it. I'VE been there too. I've invested so much in my own education, dude. Like, it's scary every time. Like, where do you think you would have been if you hadn't made that bet on yourself to jump in?
Man, I just, I remember just running horrible ads about my business when I first got to Florida. When I moved out of college, nothing was converting at all. So I like to think that I would have really, really struggled to find work because I didn't even know what my market was, like, what my niche was. I didn't know how to pitch myself at all. The numbers definitely wouldn't be where they're at. They might not even be a fifth as big as what they're at. In the last couple of months. I just did my tax return and I've already made more. Like I've collected more in the last week than I did in my entire last year's tax return as a full time student. You know, that took up a lot of time, but it was like, it was. That's how far.
That's wild.
Yeah.
Dude, you're making me feel like a proud father over here, dude. I love it. I love it. This is why I do what I do. I love seeing this. I love seeing your success and I can't wait to help you push it even further. And one last question. I guess if anyone is maybe on the fence about even just booking a call and speaking with us, knowing what you know now, what advice would you give them?
Man, there's no one, there's no one that could make it work more than I did. Like, like I, I, I shouldn't really admit to this, but like, I wasn't super truthful about like the money that I was making as a full time student because I needed to get into this program. Like, I, I knew I had the skill, like the technical skills.
Your work is beautiful, dude. It's, it's amazing work. It really is.
I just, I had to get into the program and it's not like it was a lot of money. It's a huge investment. But if I can make that work as someone who just graduated college and has no job lined up, like other people need to make that jump. And if the jump is really just to make a call and see if it's a good fit for you, like, that's like a hundred percent. Absolutely, yes. That people should at least book a call because that's hurt. But that's all I gotta say, dude.
I'm very proud of you and I'm very excited to see where you go. It's literally just the beginning. This is like. This is, like, the tiny little tip of the iceberg. There's so much more to come. I'm so excited to see it. And, dude, I appreciate your time. And we're gonna do another one of these when you close multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars in the next couple months here.
But now I believe you when you say that, too. Like, I actually.
Right.
You're like.
Before, you're like, eric's just lying to me, dude. He's just saying these things, and you do it, and then we keep going.
I love it, dude.
Well, appreciate your time, Ben, and we'll keep. Keep rolling from here.
Thank you. I appreciate that.
