What's going on, guys? I'm here with one of our clients, Mike, who just closed 72k in about a month working with us. What's going on, Mike?
How are you, dude? How are you?
I'm good, man. I'm good. I guess for maybe anybody who doesn't know you. Do you mind just giving us a little bit of backstory and kind of like yourself how you got started and how you got into this?
Yeah, sure. So my background is in graphic design. It's. My. My partner is actually the main. The head videographer, and we both have production experience, particularly in social media and social content creation. So last we got together. I mean, we've worked together miscellaneously over the years, and last year we finally had. We finally had got together on this gig, which actually is. He's the godfather of our business because he was our first client, and actually it's the guy we're talking about today, so.
That's awesome.
That'll be cool. Yeah. And then so we got together last year and we. I mean, it's been probably a year and a half of just, you know, first years working it out and figuring out and kind of, you know, enter you guys too, as well. So that's. That's kind of where we're at. And so. Yeah. Content. Content agency. Yes, sir.
Is this the first kind of retainer you guys have had or have you done retainers in the past? How's that?
Yeah, we've done. We've done retainers in the past. We've had. We've had probably two or three. You know, there's been a lot of gigs, a lot. A lot of projects, and we've. We've been just like. I mean, you know, like, it's. We're trying to get more. More retainers and more. Longer term. Bigger. Bigger volume of clients. Excuse me? Bigger volume of work that we're doing, you know, so that, you know, the paychecks are bigger. So, yeah, we have worked in retainers before. Yes.
I love it. And what was kind of like the biggest problem coming into us? Like, what was kind of the biggest thing that you guys were looking to get worked through, kind of coming into Master filmmaker.
Sure. I think it would be the biggest problem for us was similar to, you know, a lot of. A lot of the. The case studies you could have, you guys have, where it's like the quality and quantity of client. Like, sometimes we have a bunch of clients that are throwing us a few thousand dollars here, something there. Maybe it's a little bigger, maybe It's a little smaller and other times you get retainers. So we want more retainers and more quality retainers. So the biggest problem was probably just being able to sell 12 months and to really present the business as a problem solving business for sure.
Is this kind of the first 12 month, like, largest one you've had so far? You've had other ones like this, like, how does this kind of stack up?
Our largest before this one, our largest was 38 or 42 something thousand dollars for the year. It's 30, 30 500amonth. Whatever that, whatever that adds up to. So this one. Yeah, this one, you know, almost doubles that.
That's awesome, man. I love it. We'll just stack these on top of each other and keep adding up from here.
Absolutely huge.
And I'm curious, like, how did you kind of come across us? How'd you find us initially?
So we, it was either myself or my partner, Joel. I can't remember. One of us, one of us, you know, saw one. One of your ads that, you know, came across and it was kind of like we just, we had that discussion of like.
This guy keeps annoying me in the feed.
Yeah, this guy keeps popping up. But it was, it was more like it was, it was just like structure. And so this kind of goes back to your first question too. It's like, it's like, like we would like a little bit more business structure. A little like a little bit of validation too. Of like, okay, like, you know, we, you know, just we're creatives. Like, you know, we. And it's like we're spending all of our time doing A, B and C. I don't know, how much. Is that the right amount of time? Is that not the right amount of time? How much, you know, how much is more business? You know, how much more. How much more should we be focusing on the business? But. Right. We came across, I mean, it was just an ad for sure.
Cool, man. And I guess, like, I know you're still going through the program more only a month in, but like, has there been anything that's been particularly helpful to you guys so far? Obviously we did the reactivation to help you guys with the 72, but like, is there anything so far you found kind of helpful, you and your partner?
Procedure? I think that the videos, I mean, the videos alone, having access to that and just kind of equipping ourselves with, you know, more language and more troubleshooting and procedure being the sales process of, okay, when I'm, when I'm hopping on a call with somebody, we're very, like. I like to think, like, I mean, I know my partner is unbelievable personable. I like to think I'm semi personable myself. So it's like, we can do that, right? Like, we can have conversations with people. That's awesome. But, like, you know, the biggest help for us was like, okay, when we get on a call with somebody, what. What is. What is the goal? What really is the goal for that call? And then. And then how do we. How do we navigate that? And, you know, the. The sales process, the discovery, the diagnosis, that stuff. I mean, just. Just. Just equipping ourselves with more literature has just been. Been huge so far. We haven't. Truth be told, like, we have the Walaxi thing. We got that going on as well. I mean. Yep. That.
No, you guys are literally a month in, so you haven't set up half the other stuff that we have. So that's why I'm super excited to get that rolling, too, with you guys. I just want to obviously highlight you and the big win you had so far. Certainly starting out for sure.
Yeah. So, yeah, it's been good.
I love it, man. I love it. Last question. I guess if anybody is maybe on the fence about, like, just booking a call and speaking to our team, I guess knowing what you know now because, like, there's a lot of, you know, smoke and mirrors and different people out there, like, what. I guess, what advice would you give them, kind of knowing from the inside?
It's a good question. It doesn't. It doesn't hurt to have a conversation. I mean, like, you guys are pretty, you know, the case studies speak for ourselves. I think that was kind of the biggest. The biggest thing for us was just the proof was just, you know, seeing guys like us just coming up, coming on and just saying, you know, I, you know, I'm not this, I'm not that, but I just added X amount of dollars to my business through this kind of through the protocols that you're giving us. So, I mean, it's got to mean something. So I think if I were to tell somebody who wants to book a call, I mean, a call is a call. It's just. It, you know, it's just, you know, you guys do a pretty good job at presenting how you help us appropriately. So. And I think, you know, it's. It's not going to hurt to just book a call.
100%. Yeah, obviously. That's why we do the case studies like this right now, to showcase people's stories and what they've went through as well. And if you resonate with that, great. If you don't, great. That's cool too. And, dude, I love. I love the win you've gotten so far. We'll do another one of these once you set up the inbound system, get everything rolling and get. Get more deals down the pipeline, man. So I appreciate your time, Mike.
Dude, absolutely. I'm looking forward to doing this again because this. This was a. This was a re. Reactivation, and that's just.
Yeah, I. I do one usually after the reactivation. I do one once we. We get things rolling and they're much bigger, bigger deals from there.
So he was so our client, like, with, you know, it was a great. It was great for us, and we definitely celebrated, but it was like hearing. Just going through it. I'm looking forward to the next one, man.
100%. Well, it's good because now you have cash, we're feeling good, get some more consistent income, and then we pour that back into the inbound system and get things rolling from there. So I'm super pumped.
Me too, man.
Awesome, dude. I appreciate you.
