if your cost per call is high - try this

Eric Deeran shows how a client's cost per booked call dropped 30% by switching from a multi-step scheduler to an inline tool. The old process required users to load a new page and re-enter contact info, causing a 50% drop-off. Removing those steps cut the drop-off to 20%.

We had a client who had a fairly high cost per booked call this past week. And so when we looked at it, we looked at the data and we noticed that the application, qualified application to booked call rate, the drop-off there was about 50%. And that was what was kind of inflating their cost per call. And so when we saw that, I said, okay, let's run a test. And I think so many people could do this. And I tested this for ourselves a couple months ago and it dropped our cost per booked call by 30%, which is pretty significant. But when I did that, basically we had them switch from doing like a survey To then what most people do is they do a survey and then it loads to another page, and then you get a 50% drop-off because people are waiting for the next page to load, and then they end up hitting that next page, they have to re-enter all their information on the calendar again, and then they have to rebook. And so for them, you know, for people, that's a lot of friction. As simple as it sounds, it is a lot of friction for people. And so what we tested is we tested using something called eye-closed Which is a scheduling software, and there's other ones out there as well, but we use iClosed. When we tested that, we saw that we were able to get that drop-off to only 20%, which saved us about 30% of people who were going to not schedule a call. And so if you're, if you're seeing high call booking rates, look at what does your scheduler actually look like, and is there as little friction as possible for someone to fill out the form, be qualified, and then just pick a time? Because any sort of like page load speed issues, or if they have to go to another page, if they have to enter their name, email, phone number in again, like it's going to cause drop-off and it's gonna cause people to basically not book a call. It's gonna inflate your cost per booked call. So I'd take a look at that. That's something that we had to take away on this week. As simple as it sounds, reduce as much friction as you possibly can in that, uh, in that funnel so you can get as much throughput through without having people drop off at every step.
