A short YouTube video by Eric Deeran arguing that videographers who earn more often succeed because they focus on sales and marketing, not necessarily superior craft. The speaker advises technicians to learn sales/marketing (and hire talent to handle production) to scale to a multimillion-dollar business, and closes with a call-to-action pointing viewers to a free workshop via the link in his bio.

Have you ever noticed how some video business owners and videographers make way more money than you, but they don't have as good of work? This was something that I struggled with for a very long time. So here's what's happening. They've learned the sales and marketing portion of actually running a business. You haven't invested as much time into the craft. And while investing money and time into the craft and making better videos is important, what's really important is learning the sales and marketing aspect of it. You could run a multimillion dollar video business if all you did was learn the sales and marketing and then hired the talent with now the money that you've made to shoot and edit the projects to make them beautiful projects. And that's how those people are making more money. As a technician, you don't have as much leverage as a business owner. That's the key here. And so if you want to learn more about that, I have a link in my bio to a free workshop going over exactly what we do and how we scale our sales, marketing and fulfillment. Check that out in the link in bio. I'll see you there.
