A short YouTube clip by Eric Deeran explaining why some videographers with weaker craft earn more: they prioritize sales and marketing and operate as business owners with leverage, then hire talent to deliver the craft. The speaker advises investing time in sales/marketing over solely improving technical skills and invites viewers to a free workshop (link in bio) about scaling sales, marketing, and fulfillment.

Have you ever noticed how some video business owners and videographers make way more money than you, but they don't have as good of work? This was something that I struggled with for a very long time. So here's what's happening. They've learned the sales and marketing portion of actually running a business. You haven't invested as much time into the craft. And while investing money and time into the craft and making better videos is important, what's really important is learning the sales and marketing aspect of it. You could run a multimillion dollar video business if all you did was learn the sales and marketing and then hired the talent with now the money that you've made to shoot and edit the projects to make them beautiful projects. And that's how those people are making more money. As a technician, you don't have as much leverage as a business owner. That's the key here. And so if you want to learn more about that, I have a link in my bio to a free workshop going over exactly what we do and how we scale our sales, marketing and fulfillment. Check that out in the link in bio. I'll see you there.
