Short YouTube advice video by Eric Deeran (uploaded Feb 25, 2022) that argues to attract more deals and money you should adopt a confident, non-needy stance—likened to being the "cool guy at the bar": confident, unconcerned, optionally generous, but not desperate—because appearing to need a prospect pushes deals away.

You want to attract money and closing deals and success in your business, then you need to be the cool guy at the bar. Now, what do I mean by that? So think about if you're at a bar, right, and you're trying to, you know, pick up a girl, pick up a guy, whatever it may be. And if you're trying to pick up that girl or guy, there's two ways you could do it. The first way is you could be the needy guy who's like, oh, let me buy you a drink. Let me buy you a drink. Let me, you know, let me, like, like annoy you and bother you this entire time. Or you can be the cool guy at the bar. So the cool guy at the bar, he's confident in himself. He's not worried about it. He may offer to buy that person a drink, but if he doesn't, then he doesn't really care. So, like, you have to think about deals and money the same way. If your prospect feels like you need them, if they feel like you need this deal, you need this money, then you're going to just push that money and those deals further away from you. So you have to be the cool guy at the bar and think about that every time you're approaching situations and prospects and clients.
