A short motivational monologue (by Eric Deeran) arguing that personal commitments and self-investment determine the quality of clients and outcomes you attract. Key claims: you must hold commitments to yourself to expect commitments from others; nothing is deserved—everything is earned; attracting high-value clients requires investing in yourself and making sacrifices.

If you can't hold the commitments to yourself, then how do you expect other people to hold commitments to you? Right? You see all these people who have the things that you want, but what you don't see is the commitments that they make and hold to themselves. And a lot of people think that they deserve these things at the end of the day, when in reality, you don't deserve anything. Everything you need, everything you want in this life has to be earned. And if you're suffering from clients who don't want to pay you a lot of money, you're suffering from clients who say you're too expensive, or you suffer from clients that are flaky, look in the mirror and look at the person that you are because you attract more of what you already are. So if you want clients who are going to pay you a lot of money and invest in you, but you're not willing to invest in yourself, good luck. Clients don't want to invest in people that don't invest in themselves. They say, well, why? Why aren't you investing in you? So you have to be the client that you want to attract. And if you're not willing to do that, either give up the goal or make the sacrifices to get there.
