A broken system shrinks your thinking, questions your audacity, and normalizes limitation.

A speaker argues that broken systems created by humans, not God, trap people into small thinking by labeling ambition as pride and normalizing limitation. Colonial mindsets and oppressive institutions have distorted what God intended, and reclaiming audacity requires examining how these systems shaped your mind.

We are dysfunctional, all of us. If care is not taken, if you see someone on the street that has stolen bread, you join them in hollering stones at the person, or you celebrate the one who stole billions. Because there's a way you'll be broken, you become a slave to your oppressors. Many of you don't know that you were not born into the world God designed. I know religion told you that anywhere you find yourself, God put you there. You were not born in what God designed. You were born into what men designed. And you must understand that God can design and men can redesign. Even in heaven there was war. You must understand that, that everything you see around you is not what God designed. Man sowed good seed in his field, the enemy came and sowed tears. So you You know, there's something they say in Nigeria that if you are posted for NYSC, it means God wants you to go to that area of service. Then you go to the area where they will kill you and kidnap you. Is it God? No, you can't trust a system that is broken. So you didn't meet the world God created, you met a fallen world. So you met a dysfunctional system that has affected both the church and our parents. You've got to sit down and ask yourself, How bad is the effect of colonization on my mind? The mind I have, is that the one God designed, or the one that something has happened to? You may not know, and sometimes the best way to know something is wrong with you is to see what an original looks like. It's the reason why you are quick to conclude people are proud, because you don't have the audacity to dream. So when you see a big dreamer, you conclude they are proud. It's the reason why you can't relate with bold people, because when you see one, you are intimidated. Because you were not raised like that. You were broken. They shut you up, both the church and your parents, and tell you your dreams were too big. You couldn't follow anything. So when you see those who followed theirs, you can't relate. We are dysfunctional. Now we have to heal.
