In this sermon, the speaker warns that personal pain—such as church hurt or relationship struggles—can generate harmful wisdom that spreads on social media, recruiting others into bitterness and poor choices. He illustrates how people, driven by their own hurt, share negative messages (e.g., anti‑marriage advice) that attract followers. Using a vivid Lagos traffic anecdote, he shows the danger of blindly following someone who later abandons you. The core exhortation is to avoid becoming a student of another person’s pain and to seek healing from God’s word rather than the devil’s narrative. The talk concludes with a call to access the full message via the Femi Lazarus Digital Library app.

If you're going through something in life, God has something to say about it. And news flash, the devil also has something to say. So let's say, for instance, you're going through church hurt. There is the word of God and words that will heal you, but because you're going through that, if you go on your social media and type church house, you'll be amazed. There are people who spoke, they are not witches and wizards, no. Some of them might even have repented from what they said, but they spoke at the time that pain was leading them. And everyone's wisdom will bring you to where they are standing. So you pay attention to that, you begin to find reasons. Because somebody can have a tough time with the spouse, a guy, and there are misandrists online who talk about don't marry a man. Now you see them getting married, but they have schooled someone with that pain. They have left the school and they leave the person angry. Let me tell you the danger of following people blindly. One time I was— we're driving, we drove into Lagos. For those of you who live in Lagos, moving towards Ikeja, you know how strict Lagos is with breaking their traffic rule. So a car that was hold up just veered and took one way. Then 1, 2, 3 cars and buses followed that car. I was watching that car that took one way, just cornered and entered his own compound. Then these ones are hanging. Now they come. Why should you follow people that will leave you hanging? Because some people don't love you. Pain recruits. If somebody is offended in an organization, they will look for somebody who must have been offended to share it. It recruits. Don't be the student of another person's pain.
