What if what your life is going to be about is what your mentor doesn't approve? What do you do? Which comes first, approval or destiny? And that's why I've said anyone that will do something exceptional must have a pinch of stubbornness.
The ability to stay with it till it produces. How, how do you become powerful? Die to the need for approval.
Fall in love with your process. Just fall in love with it. Never allow your value to be based on traction. Let your value be measured by the conviction behind what you do. Read books. Really read books. Read good books and do it every day. And when you have to open your mouth to speak, speak wisdom. And if you have to close your mouth, make sure it is because fools are around. But read books. And when someone criticizes what you do, misinterprets it, or judges it, look at the person and be compassionate for the person. When a child is born, a child starts life with blindness, but the blind will see. And with time, they will appreciate what they have criticized. But if you suspend your vision, because those who are blind to it can't see it, Once they begin to see, they will ask you why you didn't do it.
