Now let me ask you this question: why exactly do we pray this much all the time? You know, anyone who follows our ministry deeply knows that this is not the only prayer time we have. So why exactly do we pray this much?

Much?

Why invest so much time in prayer since there are people who, in quote, are— So why do we spend time in the place of prayer? Number 1, we spend time praying because it is a commandment. We are to pray without ceasing. That's one reason. Number 2, we spend time praying because that is the avenue of communication with God. In the place of prayer, we are communing with God, okay? We lay down our request, but beyond our request, we also fellowship, okay? And then God talks back to us. So we are not just praying. I mean, to a carnal man, these things are about foolishness. The preaching of the cross is foolishness to a man who is perishing. So what do you mean by God talks back to you? Yes, he does. And I'm going to start teaching, of course, before this year ends, on how to hear from God, how to hear the voice of God. Amen. He speaks. Sometimes he speaks through insight. Releases what? Amen. He speaks. All right, those of you saying no audio, check your sound and get something better. It's loud here, it's loud everywhere. So I'm trying to— I'm gonna have to move the mic too high. All right, so, um, amen. Number 3 reason why we pray is because the spiritual controls the physical. You see, listen to this very well. It is risky to think that you can engage in the very spiritual world with physical abilities alone or physical strength alone. It is very risky. The effect of that is that the fellow will break all spiritual laws, and in the process of breaking all spiritual laws, um, become predisposed to any activity of devils. You see, let me say this to you. You can have a thousand examples of people who don't know God, who are not seeking God, who are not anyway Christian. Some of them are cruel and all those things, and they seem to have everything that the believer doesn't have. I say, eh, but what devil is attacking them? All right, sometimes you need to understand this, that the devil is not attacking a person just yet doesn't mean he doesn't have a plan. And sometimes there's something the fellow stands for, represent, or communicate that is very, very valid in the point the devil is trying to make. But as usual, just when the devil is done using his own, he dumps them. Just when the devil is done, right, using anyone he wants to use, he drops them. He dumps them. And there are many stories littered across the world. There are many stories. So when we come out to pray, we are not wasting time. Amen. We are not wasting time, we are communing with God. Let's look at what the Bible says in 2 Corinthians chapter number 10 from verse 3, says, for though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. You know, say, for the weapon of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God for the pulling down strongholds. All right, so, so I've heard narratives like about those who are in China, about those who are in America? How come they are not praying the way we are praying and then they are industrialized? They are all those things. You see, when you lack a thing, you can only view the other side of having it as the proof of success. Are you with me? When, when something is not available, you can only view the other side, all right, of having it as the proof of success. You can't see more. All right, somebody says, how about China? This, this, this. You need to— you've not been in their shoes. And money is not the ultimate need of a man. There is a vacuum that only God can fill. Are you seeing that now? All right, because sometimes people speak these things out of frustration. Money is not the— ah, no, no, money is not the only need of a man. There's a vacuum There is a vacuum, there is a space that only God can fill in the life of a man. And right now, right now, the only part of the world where the move of God is being felt the most is Africa, you see. And what is the devil doing to discredit that move of God is to bring comparison. And tell you, look at Dubai, look at all those things. Are you aware that it doesn't matter how rich a man is, if he dies without Christ, he's going to hell, and that money will not be able to change his eternal location? Okay, you, you must be able to see beyond the propaganda against the church and don't join it. You must be able to see beyond the language of scarcity And the devil does know how to present these narratives, particularly for the minds of young people, particularly young people, so it can make you believe you are wasting time. All right, see, let me tell you this, all right? Yeah, you want to have the money, you get all the money, but to do what with? So, you want to have all the money? Ya, ya, get all the money. You want to travel all the nations? Travel all the nations. But I still put it to you, there's a void that only Christ can fill. There's a void that all those things can't fill, right? You go to Dubai, you go to— where again do you want to go to? America. You go to United Kingdom, you go to Singapore. You go to all those places, all right, you will still see there that there is something about a godless nation. Is it about the rates of suicide there? All right. Those who are doing different form of sex swap surgeries. All right. A world of do whatever makes you happy. And people are, people are doing what makes them happy. People are protesting to marry dogs in Germany. People are protesting. Somebody can say, what makes me happy is I want to marry a tree. You see, man in itself, in himself, all right, in his free state, is to be bound by some rules. Freedom, listen to this, freedom is not lack of restrictions. Lack of restrictions or restraints of some sort is the ultimate form of bondage because the fellow will now be destroyed by his appetite. Hell has enlarged itself and therefore the desires of the heart of men cannot be satisfied. So we are held back by rules of— that is true freedom, that we are held back by rules in Christ that preserves us. If I say I want to do just anything I want to do, um, that makes me happy, and I say what makes me happy is that I go to club, all right, after working, and then my wife is there, my children are there waiting, I go to club, all right, I'm destroying my home. Am I happy? Momentarily. But my children are being destroyed. They are not seeing the correct image of who a father is. They are not seeing the correct image of who a father should be. Are you seeing that now? All right, study nations well. China, I can tell you many things about China. I'm trying to break these strongholds because we have to pray this morning. Are you with me? All right, I can tell you about China. They have a race of people being breed, all right. They breed these guys, LD, everything, but they breed them, all right. These are, these are for organ transfers. Different kind of atrocities in nations without God, different forms of evil. There's a lot of window dressing, but underneath, a lot of rot and decay. Don't get there only to wish you have known God all your life.

Say it loud and clear: Early will I seek the name of the Lord. Say it again: I will seek God early. Now look at what the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 12. He said it is good that a man, all right, will seek his Creator in the days of his youth. Let me, let me not paraphrase, let me just read it out. Ecclesiastes chapter number 12, all right, verse 1. Amen. Are you there with me? Good. He said, remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days, all right, have not come, and when you not say you don't have pleasure in them. While we're on campus, we're praying. I led a group of people, Prayer Movement, been praying since campus days. Let people pray and pray and pray. Ah, don't mind them, all these church people wasting time. But those, those people and all the time we're wasting is paying off today. Amen. It's better to waste time in the place of prayer than to waste time sinning. I will waste my time in the place of prayer than to waste that time in club. How come— listen to this— how come those who are in club don't feel they are wasting time, but those who are praying feel they are wasting time? Are you with me? Let me ask you again. How come those who are in club don't feel they are wasting time, but those who are praying feel they are wasting time? How come those who are carrying different women and yet they are married and they will sleep with them, how come they don't feel they are wasting time? But you go to church on Sunday, you are wasting time. That same Saturday night stroke Sunday morning, somebody has spent the entire night in expensive club and they will never call those club people fraud because they enjoy their lives. But when you give an offering of ₦200 in church, they said you are wasting time and you are wasting resources. It is not anything about wokeness, it is godlessness. And the devil is out for your soul. There are two series, all right, I'm going to teach, all right, in next couple of months. The first one is Decop, the second one is How Much. That's the series. How much? That was the worth of your soul. How much? Amen. So you have to understand, this is the reason why we spend quality time praying. You must understand that. Praise God. He's about to give us something better than we have known before. Something new. He's about to do something new. I can feel it in my bones, something new. I want you to decree and declare, Father, let your mercy never depart from me. Let your mercy never depart from me. Mercy.

In Jesus' mighty name we're praying. Now let me tell you something about mercy. Sometimes when mercy is speaking, it looks like bad things are happening. The language of mercy is not always in the direction people are expecting. Sometimes when mercy begins to speak, it looks like bad things have been introduced. Look at when they were bringing in the Ark of Covenant from the land of business. All right. And then Uzzah, who tried to prevent the ark from falling, was struck dead. They were afraid when they told David they could not bring the ark to the City of David. So they had to look for somebody in town, somebody whose death would not be painful, somebody whose demise would not be missed. Somebody that they believe— I mean, they had to look for a man called Obediodun, and they had to drop the hack in his house. Are you seeing that now? And I don't know what would have happened. I mean, the news had gone around now that somebody died, right? I don't know what Obediodun would have thought. He probably would have sat down to cry. The Bible never told us about, you know, his reaction. If I was in his shoes, I would have cried. That is it? Because am I that bad that now all you want to do is to bring the ark to my house despite the things that have happened? Dagon fell flat before the same ark. Now you are bringing this ark to my house? Obediodum should have cried, but that was mercy speaking. In another 3 months, his fame went everywhere. Listen to this. Don't be quick to call conspiracy what men call conspiracy. Don't be quick to call valley moment or low moment what men call low moment. See, listen, when men say there's a casting down, we say there's a lifting up. In the midst of what looks like general hardship, think in the midst of it, that's when God specializes in showing up. Are you following what I'm saying? 3 months, his fame went everywhere. Everybody were hearing about him, this guy. The presence of God can never be a disadvantage. The presence of God can never be a disadvantage. The presence of God can never be a disadvantage. It can never be. It can never be. So sometimes mercy can begin to speak and then the fellow receives sakleti. Because the fact that you have been occupied there will not make you enter into what God has for you because you won't have time for it. Mercy can speak over your life and somebody who has promised you marriage will break it because you are about to dance on the day of a major disaster. Some disappointments are mercy in disguise, ah! If only you know what you have missed. What you have escaped. Sorry, are you following what I'm saying here? I do tell people, ah, let me tell you in a very raw language, only God knows the one that will run mad in 10 years' time. Only God, he knows many things that you don't know. There are many things that can— so sometimes, God, it is a rescue. You are busy crying, dust yourself up and get up. Sometimes it is rescue. Sometimes somebody has promised something, and this man, everybody knows him not to be kind, and all of a sudden this very cruel man just wakes up and promise you something, and promise you and say things like, I'm going to change your life, and this and that. And then just at the moment of the fellow doing it, the fellow change his mind, say he's not doing again. And then you wept and wept and wept and wept, and then the fellow went to pick somebody else and then give the fellow what he wanted to give you. And then you say, ah, near success syndrome, break. And then 3 months after he gives that person, the fellow dies. Sometimes you have no idea what God is saving you from. The, the problem is that we are too quick to make conclusions. I remember One time I was serving, we used to wait by the side of the road to get vehicle to my PPA, to my— that's to my— to the state, because I had to come here to another place to preach. And then every once in a while, so I was going back and I think something happened. Um, I'd waited and waited by the roadside for vehicle. The man just came. I can't remember what Maybe just select girls, you know. You know this thing about being a man, that you wait, your fellow man will drive and park and ignore you like you don't exist. Well, that's a story for another day. I mean, no offense, but somehow I could not enter that vehicle. Ah, I was pained. I was pained. I needed to make it down to my PPA before I would get query So finally a bus came and we smuggled ourselves and entered. You see that now? And after that happened— now I'm not saying this is always the case, and I'm not saying we are using people's predicaments to say God is good to us. God is good to everyone, but sometimes he has helped you to escape certain things. I saw that same vehicle had some assorted in the bush. They were trying to draw the people out. Sometimes God is rescuing from disaster. That's why it looks like delay. Mercy has different expressions. Mercy has different expressions, and they are not always palatable. Now you pray this prayer: My Father, my God, whether it is easy on me or not, let all the expressions of mercy speak for me. Ah, do you understand that prayer? Whether it is easy on me or not! Let all your expressions of mercy speak for me!" Lift your voice loud and clear— lift your voice loud and clear whether I like it or not; whether it is easy or not let "all the expressions of Mercy" Speak For Me... All The Expressions ...The Expressions ... The Expressions , The Expressions , The Expressions , The Expressions , The Expressions , The Expression: All the expressions of mercy speak for me! All the expressions of mercy speak for me whether it's easy or not; all the expressions of mercy speak for me— Whether it's easy or not, all the expressions of Mercy speaks for me... —whether convenient or not—all the expression of Mercy speak to Me. In Jesus' mighty name we are praying. Amen. The one who was just sacked the day before the bombing of the World Trade Center— is it September 11th now? The one who was sacked September 10th and was at home crying, what do you think will be his statement when he saw the news? I mean, the one who was sacked a day before the bomb blast, What do you think will be his statement the moment he has seen the news that the building in which he could have been working has come down? Are you seeing that now? The one who went to apply for a job with an organization there that was denied, what do you think will be his expression when he finally sees that this building has come down? I'm saying, in the goodness of God, you can call him bad because time has not yet revealed what he has saved you from. Are you following what I'm saying here? Let me ask you again, is God good to you? Oh, thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Don't, don't be quick to judge what God is doing in your life. Sometimes I'm, I'm— ah, how do I put this now? You say all you see is delayed because you are not seeing what you want, but what God is seeing is himself preparing exactly what is needed. Taking time on you, taking time to make sure that everything are done accurately, that you do not— nothing is missing and nothing is broken. And you look at your life and say, why is my life this bad? Uh, when I applied for US visa, why didn't they give me this, this, this, that? Uh, I've applied the 10th time, why is nobody this? Another— first and foremost, go and ask God, are you waiting for me there or Are you waiting for me there or not? Number 2, what are you rescuing me from? That's why I'm praying again. It doesn't matter how well you try, all the expressions of God's mercy will speak for you. Both the mercy that exempts, the mercy that preserves, the mercy that speeds up, all the expressions of mercy will speak for you in the name of Jesus. All the expressions of mercy will speak for you. Amen. Now listen to this. I remember, um, I was talking with a friend of mine and he was telling me the wife was about to give birth and, um, they've been having issues with the cervix not opening up. Up enough for her to start pushing. I mean, it looked like they were praying and prayer was not being answered. Everybody having issues. I mean, this should be so, so, so centimeter by now, but for hours it was not happening. Just then, a consultant came in and requested for an emergency ultrasound. Please listen to this. That was when they discovered that the baby was not actually heading towards the cervix, the baby was actually facing the cervix. All right, so let's say, let's say for instance the baby was facing the cervix. So it means that if she— if this— if the thing should open small and she start coming and they try to— you will not even come— they try to push, what happens is that the baby's head will be sniped backwards and the baby will die immediately. So in the mercy of God, he kept the service from opening so that they can go through another route. The life of mother and child can be preserved. And why is this not opening? Maybe God is preserving your life and he's seeing something bigger that you cannot see. Maybe. And that's why when it comes to mercy, the devil will give you all the impressions that your prayers are not being answered. The devil will give you all the impressions that you— that God has failed you. That's the same impression he gave Eve, that for God to tell you not to eat of this tree in the garden, he doesn't love you enough. But meanwhile, God is busy planning out a way of escape for you so you will not die untimely. Is somebody following what I'm saying here? It doesn't matter how much you dislike like it, mercy will always speak for you. It doesn't matter how much you don't like it, I decree and I declare mercy will always speak for you. It doesn't matter how much you hate it, I decree and declare in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, mercy will always speak for you. Say loud and clear, I receive mercy. Say it again. Mercy speaks for me always. Say it again. Mercy speaks for me always. Yes, very important. Mercy will always insist that you don't go certain routes so as not to enter the trap of the enemy. One thing about mercy is that mercy can insist. I've seen people that missed a flight only for the plane to crash, and that doesn't mean that once you miss a flight, you not expect them to crash. Understand that where God is, he sees over, above, and beyond what you can see. He is not limited and bounded by time the way you are. And when he's doing things in his ultimate wisdom, you can call it any name, it does not change the fact that he's wise. Praise God. Many of you need to repent this morning for the way you have blamed God, even in a situation where he was saving you. Your miracle come, you never came, you never remember to say say, oh Lord, I'm sorry. Some people bastardize his name. Is this what it looks like to serve God? Is this what— no, no, no, no, no, no. And when you begin to see the whole picture, can you go back and say, Lord, I acknowledge you in all my ways, whether it is good or bad, I acknowledge you. Mercy insists. Mercy insists. Mercy insists. And many times it doesn't make any any sense. If there's anyone here that mercy needs to prevent so that your life can be preserved this year, in the name of Jesus, the mercy of God prevent you from going your own route. In the name of Jesus, the mercy of God prevent from going your own route. Ah, let me ask you, please understand where I'm speaking from. I am not mocking people with their predicament. Get where I'm speaking from. Imagine that, um, somebody tries to rent an apartment and having agreed, the agent just came, change it, gave the money, gave the place to an ISB. Are you seeing that now? And then you couldn't rent it. And then a week after, you are hearing there's a bomb blast and the apartment came down. What will you say about what God just did? I said there are miracles that when they happen, the name you have for them, the nomenclature is disappointment. Can I come again? There are miracles that when they happen, the nomenclature, the name you have for this miracle is disappointment. It takes time to know what is a miracle and what is a disappointment. It takes time. And there are things you call blessings that are problems. The day the lady that married the man that killed her got married, she danced also. But it does not change the fact that she has married her death. You don't understand what I'm saying. I said the day the lady married the man that killed her, married, she danced. The man that married the woman that slit his throat in his sleep, the day he married that woman, he also died. He also danced. Fast. But is that a blessing or not? I don't know. It takes time to know what is a blessing and what is a curse. You cannot always judge cases instantly. Oh, look at you, we have left this person behind, we all have moved ahead, look at where you are. Ah, no, no, no, no, no. The man who is running will always be overtaken by the one on whose head the hand of God comes. I have seen it experientially. Me that when the hand of God comes upon your life, you can overtake. I've seen it. You can cover in a day what men covered in 15 years. So let nobody tell you that the race is for the swift. When the Bible says the race is not— you don't conclude matters of pace based on who took off first. Nah, no. The day an elephant gave birth to the child, the child is already older than the crocodile, bigger than a crocodile. Some things takes time because they are heavy. And allow God, never interrupt the processes of God in your life. And let me beg, um, let me say this by the Spirit, let me beg, if care is not taken between now and the next 5-7 years, there's going to be the era of marriages that break between in their first 3 years because the level of pressure I see around is, is second to none. Beware of pressure. When the devil sees you are under it, he gives his own candidate and you will dance also. The church can counsel you and the candidate of the devil for you and not discern anything. Even angels of darkness can wear white. Beware. So that you are not praying on one hand and you are trying to get it done on the other hand. You fall into trouble. Beware, beware, beware, beware. Let's stop this issue of if God doesn't come, I know what to do myself. No, you don't. There is nothing you can do yourself that will not get into trouble. Are you following what I'm saying here? Very important. Say it again: I enjoy mercy all the days of my life. Say it again: I enjoy the mercies of God. I enjoy all the dimensions of mercy, whether it is convenient or not convenient. I enjoy all the dimensions of mercy, whether it is convenient or not convenient. I enjoy all the dimensions of mercy in the name of Jesus. Never you feel backwards. No, don't feel anybody has left you behind. No, please don't. Don't conclude life by pace. There is a lot that goes on beyond what you can know. Are you following what I'm saying here? Don't conclude your life like that. Don't mock, don't envy those who will later come to learn from you. Don't be quick to request some urgent 2k from the one that God is raising you as the helper. There are people that you will meet on platforms that will bring more honor later But if you are too quick, you become a subordinate. Hmm. There are people that now they want to be your friend, but you've already sent the wrong DMs. Are you seeing that now? It is best to wait for God to initiate platforms. You see that now? For God to initiate platforms, um, so that everything will happen on the basis of honor. Are you following? There are people that look like they've gone far ahead, but something will happen that will bring you to the same seat, and there, there will be mutual honor. Are you seeing that now? Beware of jumping ahead of God. Beware. Beware. Somebody following what I'm saying here? Are you being blessed by this this morning? Now, this is the language of Mercy speaking. I'm speaking. This is the language of mercy speaking, and I believe God is releasing these things so as to rescue and to help his children. In the days that God is speaking, please don't harden your heart. Anyone who is about to make wrong decisions, you are about to get married to that person, you know, you know that this will not go well, but you say, ato ato na imbadu, this is better, and just let me see somebody to call husband. Are you kidding Will you waste all the investment of God like that? You know it, you've seen all the signs, and you lie and shield this person. You know you are in trouble, but just say, let me just go ahead. You want— I mean, you want to spend the rest of your life in that chain as compared to waiting for God? The pressure to break out of waiting comes more when God is about to show up. The moment you see pressure heightened, you know it's close, and the devil knows it too, so he wants to make sure you jump out. Are you following what I'm saying here? There are people who pray and do all those things. They are— they— so it is possible that someone somewhere is waking up in the house of a man you are not married to. And then, you see, we cannot continue in sin and say that grace will abound. I know you say, eh, this, this, this, if I don't do this, how will the person marry me? This, this. And you have done that with about 4 different, 5 different men, and they have all used what they will use and dump you. And you are becoming bitter. Now you are trying everything to force your way through for this person to marry you by force, even when you know that the honor is not When will you change that pattern of thinking? Every attempt of man to do it without God ends in problem. Every attempt. Forget about what people are saying. This is, this is what is— there is the way of God and there is the way of the world. They are not the same thing. The line must be clear. The line must be clear. Is somebody following what I'm saying here? Is somebody following what I'm saying here? I believe God has released words to rescue his children this morning. Anything that will bring you into trouble, you will not have it. Any door that will cut your life short will not open for you. I didn't hear the amen loud and clear. Any favor that will steal away your essence, you will not receive it in the name of Jesus. You won't fail God. Any speed that will get you into accident will not be your portion. Somebody said the most dangerous vehicle is not the one that can't run, but the one that can't stop. Any speed that— in the name of Jesus, there's an Elijah connected. Is Jesus telling me about you? Beg you in the name of Jesus, give your life to Jesus. There's somebody here who used to be a Christian but went back, and now you are trying to find your way back. That's why I'm talking to you. I say, will he forgive me? Yes, he'll forgive you. Say, I've done ritual before. He will forgive you. All that comes to me will be no wise cast away. Oh, I've done abortion before. He will forgive you, and he will throw your past into the ocean of forgetfulness. What do you have to do? Believe in your heart that Jesus is Son of God, that he came to this world to die for your sins. Confess it with your mouth. And that's unto salvation. Say, is that simple? Yes. We'll get you discipled from there. Place your right hand on your chest and say after me: Lord Jesus, I believe that you came to this world to die for my sins. I believe that you died for my sins. I also believe that you arose for my justification on the third day. And I confess you today as my Lord and Savior, and I accept this gift of eternal life in Jesus' name. Amen.
