Apostle Femi Lazarus argues that true blessing means becoming a conduit for others, not personal gain. He critiques prosperity religion, warns that churches and schools are unprepared for AI and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and calls Christians to take accountability for addressing hunger, shelter, and systemic injustice.

The reason why you are angry about the subject of the blessing is because you've been taught from the perspective of you. Every time God talks about the blessing, it's always beyond the person. It is you being blessed to be a blessing. The kind of life school prepared you for is going. Guys, wake up. The kind of life school prepared you for, the kind of life home training prepared you for, is changing. It will shock you that the problem of people is more than ignorance. There are those who fight wisdom, and that's why I've told you that wisdom is not what cures foolishness.
Mm-mm.
The Bible never recommended wisdom as a cure to foolishness. In fact, the Bible said it's too high for a fool. The first thing anyone who is foolish needs to have is humility. First, to accept I may know something, but not at the level for it to change my life.

When I was growing up, we had a neighbor married to a man that hit her. I have never seen a husband hit the wife like that. He will beat her and throw her load from the top story building and throw it down. At least he has thrown that load down more than 20 times. And guess what? That woman can pray. She loves God. She's dead now. But she loved God. She goes to church with her Bible in her armpit, and she will come back singing. As she's cooking, she's singing. She's— they will still beat her on top. And I saw that it was difficult for the children to become so much. Because when you are the kids of an abused mother, you can't do so much exploit around the abuser, particularly because to go the direction you have to go, you have to heal. When we teach Christians and say to them that, do you know God wants you blessed? You hear religious people say, oh no, no, no, preach Christ. Why are you doubting the existence of Christ? Not because you are suffering. You've seen injustice, you are angry, it's hot in you. Now you are doubting if God is real. The reason why you are angry about the subject of the blessing is because you've been taught from the perspective of you. Every time God talks about the blessing, it's always beyond the person. It is you being blessed to be a blessing. Now, because of the— look at the injustice that's in the world now. Look at the pain, look at the sorrow. It's real. And the society is painfully predictable. Hey, that's what I want you to understand. So why is it that all the things the church has been teaching over the years, it is not producing transformational people? It's the danger of religion. Religion gives you the impression that God is going to come from heaven to do everything. Oh, God is going to put money in your pocket. God is going to— and yeah, God is going to decide if you're going to live long or not. Yeah, so you can just do anything you want to do. It's God that know who have long life and who not. Religion is built on the fact that we always transfer responsibility to a deity. That's the foundation of religion. And that ignorance can also govern your personal life, that you're not taking responsibilities for the things you should take responsibility for. And you just— someone just keep telling you, 2026 is your year. Say, oh yeah, oh God! Crossover, you not be able to shout like that. It doesn't work like that. We have to take responsibility. We have all that pertains to life and godliness to do something with it. You don't sit down. And just believe, oh, one day so things will just change. It doesn't work. There are things I say, people think, ah, Apostle, just say small, small. There's no better way to say it. It's better we call a spade a spade. See, let me tell you something. I've had some experiences where I have people walking around me, and one time I had someone walking with me and always Driving everywhere, and I'm like, ah, the way you are helping us, thank you, but you have to go back to school. So I'm going to foot the bills, so you go back to school, I'll pay, and, um, we'll send you monthly stipends. I said, just write the next JAMB and make sure you get above so-and-so score, and then I'm going to help you from there. The moment I said that, that was the last day I set my eyes on him. The next thing I heard was that he was in seminary school, going to be a pastor. If ministry keeps becoming the ground for people who are not employable There will be problem and they will make money because they have to survive. I'm sorry, but it's the truth. Ah, if we just open the door and say we want to employ So, so number of pastors, even those that God did not call, we come. We are putting living eggs under dead chickens. Sometimes it is not just that people are in problem, the quality of their persons is bad. Even here we've tried, ah, You know, people just come and say church, let me tell you stories. I tell you too, there are people— and I want to say this intentionally, and church members beware— there are people whose business is to come to churches and pray on people's kindness, and they are here too. They wait around car parks as Apostle teach about kindness. They are not planning to be kind towards anybody. They are saying, give me, give me. And we asked the pastors, go, somebody said need money for house rent. I said, okay, go to the place. We want to renew. Okay, go to the place. We have given the money for the house before. They have networks and plans. It's bad. I'm just saying that we may blame the government the way we want to, but many times we ourselves, our— as people, individual like this, one by one, we have become bad. And a land where they keep transferring responsibility on everyone else but ourselves will not get anywhere. We have become bad. Look at the ways— and I hope, I hope you are not doing that. Somebody just did something you don't like, look at the quality of venom you spew online, as if nothing can join you together in life again. Listen to what I'm saying. That thing is poor man picking mentality. Listen to what I'm saying. It values emotions over relationships. It's a sign you were raised in a dysfunctional place. It is fine. You were raised badly. If you see people who were brought up well, they understand diplomacy. They understand long-term effect. You call people, you say, I'm angry, all these Nigerian pastors, they are bastards. Then you now say you're looking for a job from their members' hands. It doesn't work. There are ways you can communicate. And you know, I shared the story with you about the woman that was being beaten. When you see such children who came from such venomous place, pain and all that, they begin to bleed on the society. That's what is happening. We have people who are bleeding everywhere. They— no, it doesn't work. Things change when builders rise. Whether Femi Lazarus is a good guy or a bad guy, I will not be here forever. And some of the things we are struggling to do here, we are doing them effectively with other nations. What's going on? It's the spiral of death. Once we keep going through that spiral, if you go check about it, how they hunt in their colony, once they start going, they won't stop. Till they tire out and die. This is how generational problems is repeated. Get out of that cycle. God wants to use you, but not with the bitterness in your heart. How many relationships have you broken? How many relationships? And I'm not talking about boyfriend and girlfriend, I'm talking about Your ability to just walk out of people's lives. We understand prayer. You know what we don't understand? Dominion. Because the method of God is to do what he wants to do on the earth through people. That's what God wants to do. Um, if you can give me Ephesians chapter number 3, um, it's Ephesians 3:10, Message translation. Ephesians 3:10. Thank you. Look at it. He said, true Christians like yourselves gathered in churches, the extraordinary plan of God is becoming known and talked about among the angels. Yes. And all this is posted along the land, planned along the way, and executed in Christ Jesus. Look at this in Amplified translation. Ephesians 3:10 Amplified. In whom we know— 3:10. So now, through the church, the multifaceted wisdom of God in all its countless aspects might now be made known, revealing the— what? The mystery to angelic rulers and authorities in heavenly places. God has wisdom, and we cannot walk in dominion if we don't have access to the wisdom. Listen to this. This is what is happening. We are going through a lot, and because we met life at the point where we are going through a lot, we don't have the time for long terms. Anything we have to do must also solve the problem of hunger first, then also solve problem of accommodation next. So the basic realities of life, all the choices we have to make, have to first answer to them.
Why?
Because the generation before forgot that a good man leaves inheritance. Now, while you are trying to be wired to think about the basic things, you also have to cater for the problem of the previous generation. So time has always been what we didn't have. If you met certain things on time, on ground, you will have the liberty to sit back, think, plan, and execute. But because those things are not on ground, all the choices you can make, you have to be alive. So we have to think about feeding amongst other things. That in its place, in the first place, is disadvantageous. Look at the fact that the moment NYSC was coming to an end, look at the number of jobs you kept applying for. Even the things that doesn't have anything to do with you. You can study sociology and end up a banker. You can study biology and end up a banker. We have studied subjects that has no contribution to our destiny. In fact, many of you struggle because what you are studying, you, you are not wired for. Can you— do you have a choice? It takes resources to afford it. So whatever you get out of that course you were not wired for, we have to assume that that's your level of intelligence in life. Are you aware that people carry the CGPA they finish with in school as a stigma? Third class, and that becomes a stigma through life. By the way, hope you know we're in the middle of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Listen to what I'm saying. I'm still shocked that churches are not saying anything about it. AI is a wrecking ball. We can ride on it, but it's going to keep getting smarter. Jobs now are under threat. Many of you don't even know. There must be rooms where we are talking about what to do. They are Christians. Don't embrace the kind of hope that kills. There is morbid hope. Get yourself into rooms where certain conversations are taking place now. If not, they will build establishment on your back— not at your back, on your back. You've got to understand Things are changing. The future of education now, a lot is changing. The kind of life school prepared you for is going. Guys, wake up. The kind of life school prepared you for, the kind of life home training prepared you for. It's changing. And in the midst of this, God wants his children to have light, to understand, to walk in dominion. Whether it is the third industrial revolution or the fourth industrial revolution, whatever revolution There is a wisdom in God. There is. We've got to understand. It will shock you that the problem of people is more than ignorance. There are those who fight wisdom. And that's what I've told you, that wisdom is not what cures foolishness. Mm-mm. The Bible never recommended wisdom as a cure to foolishness. In fact, the Bible said it's too high for a fool. The first thing anyone who is foolish needs to have is humility. First, to accept I may know something but not at the level for it to change my life. And I've warned, you may know something to tweet with and that same thing can't change your life. You are tweeting with it. When you tweet, everybody say, 'Shanon, my God.' That's as far as it will go, because the kind of knowledge— have you seen students in class that when they are asking questions, 'Aye, sir,' they can answer at that level? Give complex equation before them during exam, they can't pass. They prepared to be impressionable. Because I look at everything. If care is not taken, all these things we are saying, the youth's intelligence on social media, if care is not taken, that's the kind of intelligence, the intelligence that can argue but cannot bet transformation. Intelligence that can insult, curse people, call them names, insult their parents. Put your name and everything about you out there to chase clout. You got that knowledge from somewhere. Someone who did not walk in dominion raised that kind of person. When you see people who understand power, they understand name. Name, what they do with it, where they go with it. Because your name can either open a door or shut it. And this is one of the reasons why many of God's children, although we are praying, but they self-sabotage. We don't have access to the kind of wisdom that can change our lives. Nothing makes our walk in dominion more difficult like religion.
