Pastor Femi Lazarus warns that many Christians have abandoned their "first love" for Christ, trading deep intimacy and prayer for entertainment-style worship. He calls believers back to genuine discipleship, sacrifice, and evangelism, citing Revelation 2:1-5 and drawing on personal stories of ministry cost and burnout.

We bless you. Thank you, Lord Jesus. We bless you, Lord. Can you lift your voice, everyone, where you are, and bless the name of the Lord from the depth of your heart? Let everything within you magnify him. He deserves the lifting up of our hands. His name is Yahweh. He's the Lord who is full of grace, full of mercy, full of compassion, faithful and true. We bless you, Lord. Let's raise that sound for me. Oh, lift your hands everyone where you are.
Oh Lord.
My God, all that I want is your touch. My faith, it is hiding on this mountain. To drink from your love.
We bless you, Lord Jesus. Blessed be your holy name.
Thank you, Lord.
Blessed be your holy name. The Lord of Hosts is your name. You are the one who apportions mercy. Well, thank you for it. Accept our thanksgiving in Jesus' mighty name. Let's give Jesus a big hand. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Streams of Life. Thank you. Please be seated, everybody. Thank you, Lord. Revelation chapter number 2. Revelation chapter number 2. We start the reading, um, from verse 1. Revelation chapter number 2 from verse 1. Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus right. This thing says he that holdeth the 7 stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the 7 golden candlesticks: I know thy works. And thy labor and thy patience. So I'd like to give this as a word of comfort, that if you are in the service of the Lord, he knows your works, and it is not in vain. And he's recognizing your works because it is primarily unto him, not unto men. It's primarily unto him. Sometimes it can be tiring and you ask him, does the Lord even see what I'm going through trying to get things done for him? Oh yes. He's not irresponsible. He knows your work. So that also means keep on working. He sees it. Amen. And he rewards. One day we all are going to stand before him face to face for rewards. For appraisals. And then it will occur to you that you've not been wasting time. You've not been wasting time. Amen.
Amen.
And when it comes to this labor At the judgment seat of Christ, it's going to be— it's going to be the gathering of stars. Um, in your— I don't know whether your secondary school or primary school, you do have what is called speech and prize-giving day, huh?
Aha.
Where students from different classes are recognized best in this subject, best in that, best in this, and best in that. So we're going to be seeing people who have labored across different dispensations, some who were killed for the sake of the gospel. I watched in— I can't remember precisely now, maybe 2014— when a young girl among those that were kidnapped. I think in the early moment of Chibok, I think that should be about 2014, I guess. And you might have forgotten the story, but there was one of the girls particularly that was buried to her head. You remember? And people gathered around her for the sake of the gospel. With stones, and she was stoned to death. So people like that who laid down their lives for this gospel— and that's why you must understand, anytime I have the opportunity to suffer whatever it is for the gospel, it's a privilege, because we're going to be standing side by side with those who actually died for it. I remember when our church in Lagos was starting. Having laid the foundation, we sent pastors, and they used to go every weekend. They travel from Ibadan to Lagos every weekend and return. The pastor of our Lagos church then was having his master's in UI. So he has to come back. And I remember there was a particular time they were trying to catch the train from Ibadan to Lagos, and they had an accident. And one of the men we had sent there broke his teeth. And we did all we could, medical intervention, you know, get him dressed and all those things, give him analgesics, all those pain relief. But sometimes I watched him cry. Should we remove the stitch? Dentist saw and I was in pain. It's not in vain. So if you are in active service of the kingdom. You are not laboring in vain. The most beautiful thing about the Lord is that it is the Lord who sees. He sees secrets. He sees in the secret and rewards in the open.
Amen.
Say loud and clear, it's the Lord who sees. Say it again. He sees. Um, there's this song, um, we used to sing then. Um, he knows my name, he knows my everything. You know the song, Debbie? Yes. Where's that song from? Let me hear. He sees, he sees the fall, and he hears me when I call. Very powerful song. You know the song? You want to sing it? Let's try. At least you used to be in the choir. Almost all of us started from the choir, even me, till they pushed me out. Where is that song? Let me hear it. And when you sing it, sing it affirmatively. He knows you by your name. Go ahead.
He knows my name. He knows my every thought. He sees each tear that falls. He hears me when I call.
Let's take it one more time, loud and clear, if you know it.
Oh, he knows my name. He knows my every thought. He sees each tear that falls. And hear me when I call.
Hallelujah! Say it again: He knows my name. It will all— it will look like foolishness till the day the world will tremble before him. Christianity will keep looking like what? Foolishness. A Christian is a stupid person. Oh, very foolish people. Um, shippu, that's the name now. A sheep. Say they are always doing church, church. And they found ways to paint it with disdain that when you stand for the sake of the gospel, you must be a fool. Till the day the whole world will tremble before him. There's a reason why the Bible called that day the day of gloominess. The day that people will urinate in their body because the judge of the world will be there himself. People might praise you and they find your works wanting, and they might despise you and not even recognize you, and he sees you as a general. Now look at it again. Revelation 2 from verse 2. Are you still there? I know thy works and thy labor and thy what? Patience. How thou cannot bear them which are evil. Now you must understand that everything is saying there is a form of commendation. If you pay attention to the letter to the churches that Jesus sent, you see Jesus— you see the pain he has towards falsehood. Now let me give you an answer to many questions, to some of the questions you did not know you have. I'm going to answer you. Sometimes when falsehood is being addressed, many church people don't know what to do. Should it be addressed if somebody is a fake or a false prophet or a false teacher? Should it be addressed? Or if there's a false practice creeping to the church, Should it be addressed? So there is— we have different divides. Um, there is the judge not, or judge— Christians should not judge. Then there is the oh yes, let's bring down fire. And then there is only God knows those who are serving him. And there is— I said I say, I don't even know. I say, is this person false? I don't even know. Honestly, I don't even know. You see, if you don't even know, your own is worse. So because it means that you don't even have the truth to be able to discern what's the standard. But this is Jesus talking. Now we can read through all the letters of the churches, commending them. He said, you cannot bear them that are evil. You have tried them which says they are apostles. And are not, and found them liars. Jesus was excited about the fact that you expose falsehood. Look at verse 3 now. He said, and you have borne and have patience for my name's sake, and you have labored and not fainted. Nevertheless, I have somewhat against you because you have forsaken what Because you are forsaking your what? Your first love. Now, the moment he spoke about the first love, he spoke about something else. You may— you might miss it, but look at what he said in verse 5. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen. And repent. So it means that when you embrace your first love, you are actually standing on the plane. It's like you are standing on the rock, on a plane higher than what people can fathom. I'm going to explain that. Say, remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do thy first work. And you see, the tricky thing about this kind of fall is that this fall can happen when ministry is still progressing.
Huh?
You can be in your falling state and have more platforms than you have ever had. Platforms is not a proof or a justifier of where you are standing. It is the Lord who sees the secret that is actually speaking here. He said, look at it, he said, remember the height from whence thou art fallen and repent. He said, and do the first works. So when you forsake your first love, you also step— you stop your first works. Can I come again? When you forsake your first love you also stop your first work. You become fatigued. Look at that verse 5 in Amplified translation. Revelation 12— I'm sorry, 2, verse 5. We read in Amplified. Let me read from here in Amplified. He said, remember then from what height you have fallen. Repent, change the inner man to meet God's will. And do the works you did previously when first you knew the Lord, or else I will visit you and remove your lampstand from its place unless you change your mind and repent. Look at that statement again. Repent, change the inner man to meet God's will, and do the works you did previously when you first knew the Lord. Now, this is why I said there is danger. It is possible that a believer is seated here who has forsaken the first love but doesn't even have a first work. Jesus is referring them to the first work because they had one.
Yes, sir.
And that's why I spoke about the need for a balanced community of faith. Because sometimes— listen, please pay attention— the danger of winning people to Christ are not getting them discipled and allow them the platform where the inner longing of their soul to know the Lord more is met.
They are zealous, they want to work.
Now, two things can happen. Number one, These people come with so much zeal to work, and they come around people that they expect to be an inspiration, and those ones are saying he's not even up to that. Say, you know, I was preparing the sermon, so I didn't know till now. I don't know when I'm going to teach it, maybe next year or in 2 years' time. The title of the sermon is My Part of the Story: A Memoir from David. That's the title. I'm describing David giving the narrative of the day he got to the battlefield, because what you read in 1 Samuel 17 is that David just said this. Imagine that you are David. You've been hearing about the heroes among the soldiers of Israel. You go to the battlefield that day and you saw Goliath making noise, and none of your heroes could fight. We, we need to teach it because there are people who are looking at people from afar off and say we want to be like them, only to get to where they are and find out that the throne is still there but the unction is missing. Are you following what I'm saying here? The first question is, do you have a first walk? Now, Trish, this Bible study, so let's talk, okay? Trish, in your journey of faith with God, is there— do you have a season that maybe you belong to a faith community that you just want to serve God? You just want to, all right, evangelize. You, you were passionate And I'm not saying whether the passion is still there or not, but at least is there a track record? Is there a track record of a meeting point? Is there a track record of a moment of surge? Because we can't refer you to the first walk you didn't have. Are you following me now? Because for someone's prayer, this moment will be that give me a taste of the joy of salvation looks like.
Give me a taste.
Rush my heart with love for you. I want to understand how people are busy about you like they've lost their minds.
I've seen people busy about— I can't tell. Have you seen people doing things that you can't relate?
Talk to me now.
And it's not a crime. It's not a crime, okay?
You can't relate, but you can be helped. Maybe somebody is here and you did not grow up— let me give an instance. Who can give me an instance now? Um, maybe a child that lost the mother at a very early age, and then you see another child hugging the mom and the mom doing all those things, and you honestly You grew up with this part of your life missing, and you, you probably just don't feel that. What's the whole extension of emotions about? What are they doing? Because you didn't have it. You keep cutting people down and judging them for the way they love God because you never had the first walk.
He said, go back. Do the works you did previously when you first knew the Lord. Are you seeing that the church must be an LD community for new converts?
I was hearing someone say, honestly, I tried going— the fellow said, I tried going to church to know God more. Said, but the church was pointing me back to the world. Someone was struggling with, all right, seeing explicit materials. Does he want to? And then said, I don't want to go to club, I don't go to— let me just come to church. And when he came to church, it is even in church they are opening breast. I'm saying, are you feeling what I'm saying here? Listen to what I want to tell you. Pay attention, I will say this once.
What—
this is what we are doing. We are trying to— come, we are trying to— no, sit down. If I use for this example, they will yab you. I know my reason. Ah, is there somebody on suit? You know, in Nigeria You have to know your nation. You were sued. So we are trying so hard to say you are coming from the world, huh? You don't have to come deep into the Lord. We can give you a blend of the Lord and the world. Let's have Christian pool party. We can start some new Christian innovation. This is what I'm saying, that just some new innovations, some new things that, um, you know, for young people, just some things to be funky about. Let's, let's have some crazy Holy Ghost party. Now it sounds noble, but why this move? It is, it is giving this fellow an impression that don't worry, you don't have to be too far from where you are coming from.
But meanwhile, because this person has gone so deep there, it needs to also come so deep in the Lord. We are beginning to perceive prayer stretch.
Fastings, study of the word as old-fashioned. We are assuming on behalf of a generation that they have short attention span. This is what I'm saying. As we are trying so hard, huh, to say we want to win the world, this is what is happening. The world is also trying so hard to blend with the church. But so far, only one person is succeeding— the world. I've been to some Christian Holy Ghost crazy party where I complained about girls wearing bombshirts and girls revealing their belly button and breasts being laid bare. That's not youthful, that's perversion. Because what is going to happen is that we're going to have— we're going to be churning out— listen what I'm saying— we're going to be churning out bulk of people who have no depth, who have no foundation. They are not established on what is solid, so they can't stand the test of time. After all, they were coming from the club and we gave them something that looks like the club and the church. I've been raising an alarm because now even when we sing powerful songs, they are shaking bum bum to it. So we need to re-strategize. You know what that means? It means they have developed immunity towards the version we have brought. It's mockery. We say this is going to change them. They are singing it in their iniquity.
Ah.
Hey, listen, I've told you, it's either old rugged cross or no cross at all. I have— I'm speaking as one who has meditated, who has prayed, who has envisioned, who has tried to think about it, was, you know, and all those stuffs. And as I look closer I said, this is a trap. You will never meet the Lord. That's where you're going. You will never know him. You won't know Jesus from crazy Holy Ghost party. You don't have to have crazy to it. We have to go back to the days of Kenneth Eagan kind of camp meeting. Where people will sit in church 3 straight months learning faith. So you see that Christians who have depth— look at what the Bible says, Ephesians 4:14. Please sit for a moment, I want to show you something. Ephesians 4:14, give us in King James quickly. Ephesians 4:14. All right, look at this: that we henceforth be no more, what, children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the sleight of men and cunning craftiness whereby they what? Lie in wait to deceive. Look at what the Message Translation says about this scripture. Ephesians 4:14, Message Translation. Quickly, quickly, let's read this together. 1, 2, 3, go!
No prolonged infancies amongst us, please. We will not tolerate babes in the woods, small children who are an easy mark for what? Impostors.
That is, the enemy wants to invade the territory of the church because we have people who didn't have depth. They become the weaklings, the Achilles point of the church. Small children who are easy marks. You know why they are easy marks for impostors? They can't discern between what is right or wrong. They were not established. How many of you seated under the sound of my voice right now have up to 10 Christian literatures. I'm not talking about Things Fall Apart. 10 Christian literatures. Now, 10, 10, 10 is even ridiculous number at this level. I should be asking about 200. Oh yes, 10 Christian literature that you bought and finished. Not, oh, Apostle has written new books, okay, I'm gonna buy it. Okay, the ones you bought. I said chapter number 2.
Chapter 2?
Is there chapter 2 in that book?
That's your first work. He called the disciples— is that Mark chapter number 3— that they should be with him, then he might— he might—
so ministry is a probability, intimacy is the real work.
He called the 12 that he— what they should be with him, then he might send them forth. So more important to God is your staying with him.
Not the going forth. You see, you are the bride of Christ. The conjugal duty is more important than extramarital issues. Stay with the conjugal duty. That's your work. Intimacy. And you need devotion to know him.
You need devotion.
Many of you listen to what I'm saying, and because we need to go back to the foundation So those of you who belong— this is what I'm saying, please pay attention— those who gave their life to Christ on campus and had fellowship community, all right, whether BSF or ASF or RCF, all the fellowships like that, and that community where people were studying and praying, and you have a school, you may call it a religious school, you don't know what God has done for you because you have the opportunity to be part of a stream and a flow.
It may look like a waste of time, but you found gold. It's an opportunity.
I was in Leifert to have a meeting, so I said, let me go to Whitewall. And I went there, met some of our pastors, and I saw students praying. Just close to where we were praying, there was a party going on, and the party ground was flooded with students.
As loud as the noise was, you still see some boys and girls. Nobody said to them, go and pray. They left their hostels by themselves searching for the scent of Jehovah. They were tracing him. That's so powerful that you belong to a community where it's, it's a custom. You see, before you know, somebody's voice is coming out there, he's praying. This one's voice coming out, he's praying. You have been introduced to God. It's not going to happen anywhere any other way.
Don't come from the world and take something that looks like the world, like a devil. You need the old rugged cross, the red-hot fire. That's why many Christians are still struggling with vices in the world of TikTok. TikTok Christianity is not going to make you Some of you need time right now to decide that you're going to delete certain apps, but if it's not helping you, and sit down. Something happens when you have the opportunity to be in a community where everyone is doing something quite similar. That is a defined— don't stay alone, it's a trap. If you try to burn alone, you can't burn for so long. So you need a community of faith where you are being inspired. Are you following what I'm saying here? Where your heart is being ignited to love God more, to search about his word. Now, those of you who didn't have the opportunity to give your life to Christ while you were on campus. Maybe you missed those seasons, you're not able to be part of the fellowship.
You—
so you, you didn't, you didn't have that time that you have the time for growth. Even now you can catch up. Let me tell you a story. Unlike many of the patriarchs that we have in the body of Christ now, when most of them give their life to Christ quite early, Pastor Iya Adeboye gave his life to Christ in his 30s. In his what? 30s. As a matter of fact, he married as an unbeliever, but he caught up because when he gave his life to Christ, it was genuine. Is it okay now? And he was able to— what? He caught up with his generation. You need that kind of resoluteness. The Lord is telling us to raise the alarm, and this is a prophetic alarm. Don't stay in between, it's a trap. Go so deep into God that you will have to search God to find you. While we're on NYSC camp, I shared the story— a young lady who later become my assistant in the family house They were having— a boy in the camp, on camp, was having his birthday, so he invited his friends at Mami Market. And then they were looking for some fine girls that could join them, and they brought that girl to among the fine girls because she was fine. And so they were there drinking. And all she said was, at least before we even start anything, let's pray for the birthday celebrant. And that was what she said. And then she raised her voice and began to pray over the birthday celebrant and got all of them born again and baptized in the Holy Ghost right there with their— listen— with their bottle of stout in their front. Got them saved. Guess what? She didn't say finish it, you are still saved. Never encourage a sinner to continue the sin because he's saved.
God them born again and filled with the Holy Ghost. You can't do that if you want to blend in.
You must stand out. You must stand out.
Go back to your first work, what you used to do when you first believed. Go back to it. The church must go back to the days of evangelism.
The days of intercession, the days of prayer. Many people don't like Bible study now because it's not fashionable. Look at this. Now, I, I, I wrote a few things that I want to show you. I showed you the prayer that David prayed. When something went wrong with him. In Psalms chapter number 51, please turn your Bibles there, Psalms 51, and we're going to start the reading from verse 1. So we take quite a lengthy reading, and you have to get used to that. Is that okay? Say it again. I'm a disciplined Christian. I take my time to study the word. I live by the standard of scriptures. I am a student of the word. This is who I am, in the name of Jesus. Psalms chapter number 51, we'll start the reading from verse 1. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness, according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies.
Blot out my transgressions, wash me thoroughly from my iniquities, cleanse me from my sin.
For I acknowledge my transgression, and my sin is ever before me. Against thee only have I sinned, and have done this evil in thy sight, that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest. And clear, and be clear when thou judgest. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in my sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, thou desirest the truth in the inward part, and in the hidden parts thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean. Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me to hear the—
to hear joy and gladness. That the bones which thou hast broken may what? Rejoice.
Hide thy face from my sins and blot out my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right what? Spirit within me.
Cast me not away from thy presence and take not thy Holy Spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation. And uphold me with thy free spirit. Listen, listen, added to the package of salvation is the joy and enthusiasm that a believer has.
If a believer doesn't have it from the point of birth into Christ, it is because the fellow was born into a community of faith that convinced the fellow it is not necessary. Can I say it again? It's a divine package that comes with salvation. There's the joy. Whenever you hear somebody say that somebody was smoking, I preach, the person is still smoking, I just say continue, no worry. That's the wrong message.
The Holy Ghost is from the get-go. It comes. There is the joy that comes, that now I'm saved. You cannot get that joy outside of Christ. The Bible called the life outside of Christ superfluity of naughtiness.
It's the well that you dig and touch nothing. You keep digging, you never touch anything. Go check it out. People are smoking and they are drinking, they are unhappy.
People are taking substances, they are unhappy. They are looking for joy, but that joy is in salvation. That's what they are looking for. There's a void in their soul.
They, they try as much as possible to get validation from what they drive, and that's why they want to get new model of cars, new model of this and all. I'm not saying cars are bad, I love cars. They want to get because they, they, they— what they are looking for is what only Christ gives. Say it again: I have the joy of salvation.
Say it one more time. I have the joy of salvation. Say it again. I have the joy of salvation. I am glad I'm born again. I am glad I'm saved. I'm glad I'm washed in the precious blood of Jesus. This is who I am. This is my covenant inheritance. I am born again. Glory to God. The devil can't be born again. He can't have it. He can't have salvation. He's forever doomed. When I'm saved, you know, salvation is the greatest miracle ever, that a man who was on death row— do you know what death row means?
You see, the fact that you didn't see it doesn't mean that you were never there. When a prisoner is sentenced to death It's a very chilling moment when they take a suspect to the court and the judge gives his verdict. The fellow moves from about— that fellow should be killed. The fellow moves from being a suspect to being a condemned person. From that moment The way the wardens will treat the person is like somebody who is dead. Imagine waking up every day not knowing when they will come to hang you on the gallows. That's where you were going till Jesus came. The day you will know how powerful that is, is the day you will see sinners born in the lake of fire. It will have caught you. That was where you were headed. You see someone come to the front and say, I accept Jesus. Lord Jesus, I accept into my heart in the name of Jesus. You just think it's just nothing. That is more than raising the dead. Because if you raise the dead, the fellow will grow old and die again. This fellow has been redeemed from death not to know that death again.
That's the gift of salvation.
And that's why you cannot be saved and not want others to be saved.
You want others to be saved, it comes as a natural package.
And I understand many of us are becoming cold on the inside because of our experiences, giving up on church now. I'm done. Years back, I was preaching church Not like nation. Then the Lord said to me that morning while I was praying that somebody is coming to church today, I want you to learn from him. So I said, okay, Lord. So I thought maybe a senior minister was coming. I said, all right. While I was preaching, a young man walked in and he wasn't even dressed like the rest. But the way he was dressed, you could tell, this is SU. God said, follow him, that's my servant, go and learn from him. So after the service, I say, hey, how you doing, man of God? Say, it's fine. Say, all right, I'm Femi Lazarus, this, he said his name is this and all that. I said, the Lord just laid something in my heart. I didn't want to tell him that the Lord said I should come and learn from you.
Ego.
So later I just say, you know what, I perceive that God will have me to learn something from you, sir. He said, come and see me in my hostel. That was what he said. He didn't say, ah, Pastor, no, ah, sir, I'm beyond— no, no, no. That young man at that age was a general and he knew himself. So he said, come and see me in my hostel. To let you know, hostel. He was not even in Part 1, he was a pre-degree student. So he said, come and see my hostel. So I said, all right, all right. He said, so make sure you get there by 12 tomorrow, all right? 12. I said, okay, 12, I will come. I got to the hostel. He sat down, he was talking to people. Some people, I joined them. He didn't even recognize that. You're welcome, Pastor. No, no, he just continued. Was done talking to people, he brought out a note. He brought out a note from front to the back of that note, name of souls, souls that he personally won.. And he will sit with that note in the middle of the night and begin to call their names. Adekola, I bless you. The Lord will establish you. You can be busy preaching as a pastor on the altar and think you are the one who is there. God has hidden soldiers. Are you following what I'm saying there?
That's what, that's what the guy's doing. Thousands of names.
He said, so he said, he said, you go to such a place. Go 2 by 2. You go to so-and-so place, you go to so-and-so place. He said, make sure you get their names, get their phone number. He said, I'll be here praying for all of you. So I said, hey, Pastor, he said, you come, follow Brother Timothy. You guys should go to so-and-so place. He said, come, please come back. I said, yes, sir. Because you see what will humble you. I said, yes, sir. He said, as you go, anybody you see on the road evangelize, even children. So when I say, thank you, sir, in my mind I was saying, children, if I start to care, they will arrest me and say it's kidnapper. As I passed, I was going on to pass by some children. God reminded me, the new mentor I've given you said preach to children. I'll greet the mothers, hello, a few minutes with the children. Can I talk to the children? Let me tell you something. It broke me. You will not know that you have pride, that you have been too used to microphone, that you can no longer do it on the streets till God put you where he will.
What?
Because he always wants you to be where he can reach you. Are you following what I'm saying?
Yes, sir.
Where is Pastor Dami? We were both together in discipleship school now.
Aha.
So at some point we were— we met ourselves in discipleship class. So she will be— we will write exam. Even then this ministry has started. I will go down to— they were undergraduate, I had finished.
They—
I'll go back and go and write exam and all that. The exam is, do you still have quiet time?
Um, this—
mention the number of souls you have won in the last 6 months. So those are the exams. So this one is not la cram la po, is investigating into your life of consecration with God. Because we can get to a point— listen to what I'm saying— you get into stardom and leave ministry. Please sit down. So when David was saying restore Ah, if you have not known what the joy of salvation is, how do we describe it?
It's better experienced.
There is the joy that comes with salvation. You just want others to experience it. The woman that Jesus met in John chapter 4, she's been troubled for a while. When Jesus met her, what spoke in her was self-condemnation. How can you be the Jew speak to me, a Samaritan? So she was used to being rejected, and Jesus spoke to her about her life and introduced her to the river of living water. She went around. Imagine someone who's been destitute, who's been abandoned, someone that nobody wanted to deal with, coming to show them the Messiah. You know what I found out is that sometimes people were in their lowest moment, find it easy to carry this thing. Be careful, don't let title get to your head.
She went around shouting, I've met the Messiah! The joy of being saved.
When you encounter Jesus, it becomes all you want to talk about. Oh, go back to the days where you will sit down and clear 4 chapters.
Are you—
what I'm saying here, because if care is not taken, the only avenue you have to know the Bible will be Bible study. So you can't even fact-check. Go back to the day that the word of God was alive.
I'm talking to you.
As you are reading the Bible, it's like you are entering into it.
God didn't go away, you are the one who left. He's still there. If you open the Bible again, you see there's life. Go back, go back to the days where you worship God alone in your room and cry as an audience of one. Go back to those days. He's still waiting.
Long after people leave God's presence, he still hangs around. You feel that like you are adulting, life is happening to you. But were you not better then? Look at the confusion you are bringing yourself. Trial and error. This one is not working and this one is not working. How about the days of intimacy where you were entering a divine flow, divine order of things by staying in, in, in God's presence you knew what to do by the Spirit. When was the last time you cried in God's presence? When was the last time you worshiped? When was the last time you prayed and 3 hours felt like 20 minutes, like it should just never end? Once we leave this altar We become prone to misbehavior. The only way we are strong is proximity with Jesus. That's the only way. The farther you are from him, the heavier your life becomes. You are cumbered with so much loads and, and, and cares of life, and you don't even know— sometimes you don't even know what you're thinking. And simple intimacy will do the magic. Look at what it says. Oh boy, lift your hands and say, Jesus, thank you. I wish you can just say sincerely. You don't need a scripted way to say it. Restore back my love and hunger for you. Restore back my affection for you. He can help you love him again. Some of you don't even know that you should pray that he should help you love him. Restore back. Look at what the Bible says in— don't worry— in Matthew 11:28. Matthew 11:28 says, come unto me Come unto me, all ye that labor and are what? Heavy laden, and I will give you what?
Rest.
You find rest to your soul. You find rest. He said, take my yoke upon you, learn of me, for I'm meek and lowly in heart. And you shall find rest unto your soul. Look at it, Matthew 11:28. Let's read it in Message translation. Now I'm going to read from here so there can be order. God bless you. Matthew 11:28. Okay, we read, are you tired, worn out? Do you get worn out sometimes, or burnout? You just burn out. One of the ways you know there is burnout is that you experience anxiety. You are just anxious. You're worried about everything. You're worried about life, the next step. All the things that disappeared in his presence will now appear because you have journeyed far from him. The troubles that his presence took care of, the fears that his presence dissolved, the oppositions against your soul. In fact, maybe even the words, the words that should have entered your head that never came. Once you are away from his presence, everything will come. Now the devil can talk to you because you are in his territory now, and he will beat you with experience. Burnout. All the things you've said you will never do again, you start becoming interested. The friends that used to— that you know, whenever you talk to, they are trying to tell you about somebody who needs a plug. A plug for girls. You just somehow want to chat them up. Maybe an ex that keeps leading you to sin. Just find yourself Just drop the chat, 'Aye,' because you are burning out. Let me explain what burnout means. Can I have a cup? Let me have a cup. I want you never to forget this. Let me have a water. There are two descriptions of life that God gave us in respect to a believer's life. One, he spoke about the well of living water. Then he also spoke about the river of living water. The well of living water is also the anointing within This is your personal consumption. This is the work of the Holy Ghost within you for personal growth, personal daily living. The one that you bless the world with is not your well of living water, is the river of living water. If you fail to nurture the river, you will have to minister from your well. You burn out. The part that should be helping you stay healthy spiritually, that even nurtures your physical body. You will minister, power will flow, but you are deprived. So you wonder why a man can preach heavily then commit suicide. He's been tapping from the well, and now there's nothing more to offer. You can preach yourself to death. Are you tired, worn out, burned out on religion? Come to me, get away with me, and you will what? Recover. Oh, this thing that we do is only possible through intimacy. Imagine that you have to wake up every day and minister in PPC, then you have to have other meetings where you bless lives, then you have to minister in Bible study, and then minister again on Sunday service, and then keep blessing. You go to places and power is flowing, you must know how to maintain the power centers. You must know how to what? Maintain it. If not, it becomes too heavy. There's more demand than supply. You burn out. You are preaching, but your life is a mess. It's not being sustained. I've seen it. The only way we can survive this race is through intimacy with Christ. There's no other way. You are capable of the worst evil if you journey away from him. You will discover that there were many things hiding under your flesh. That his presence took care of. As you journeyed away from him, they are exposed. Your emotions will rebel against you.
He said, come to me, get away with me, you will recover your what?
Life.
I will show you how to take real rest.
Look at verse 29. Walk with me and walk with me. Watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythm of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. When you come to him, what he does is help you carry it. Let me tell you something, this is the biggest deception in life. It doesn't matter how well you grow in ministry, it doesn't matter the amount of results you have. And listen, it's even more dangerous— listen, it's even more dangerous when you have start how to deliver outside the presence. Because even when you are dying, nobody can tell. Let me tell you something about the anointing. Look up. There is a point in the life of the anointed that the anointed enters into what is called overflow. That is, you can flow even when they wake you up from sleep. The dangerous part about that season is that you can still flow even when you are not praying. So don't pray because you want the anointing, pray because you are in love. And stay in love. You see, I don't know how to do— oh, of course I pray warfare prayers, but oftentimes I just go to the feet of the cross and hold him. Help me, breathe your life into me. Oh, there are times— that you just start noticing that my heart is beating fast, I'm becoming afraid, and you can't tell what you're afraid of. Take it to the Lord in prayer. You must learn to talk to God about everything. There was a season in my life that the warfare against my soul was fierce. Oh, that devil was throwing jabs. And I separated myself to fast and seek the Lord. And he gave me a song, um, that moment. Um, Jesus the Healer of the Church, Come and Heal Me Now. Remember the song? Can you raise the song now? And he gave me a song. And you see, I, I prayed from Night around 10 PM till 5:30 AM. The prayer was not, um, conquer my enemy. The prayer is my heart will not stray from you. Oh Lord, I'm seeing warfare against my heart. Don't be too strong to tell the one who is the source of strength to give you strength. I'm seeing warfare.
I'm telling you, don't hide it. I'm seeing warfare against my heart. Jesus, this heart will not stray. Keep me in your love. Dear man of God, pray the prayer. You must learn it. You find your heart straying, you start falling in love with the abominable, take it to the Lord in prayer.
You know the song, raise it.
Jesus, the healer of the church, come and heal me now! Jesus, the healer of the church, come and heal me—
Jesus, the savior of the church!
Jesus, the Savior of the Church!
Come and save me now.
Come and save me now.
Jesus, the Savior of the church.
Jesus, the Savior of the church.
Come and save me now.
Come and save me.
Jesus, the Helper of the church.
Jesus, the Helper of—
Do you need help? Call him to help you.
Come and help me now!
Jesus— help of church?
Help her up to come on out me no more man helps you whoo...
Whoa ohh Ohhh Ahhhh ahahahaahhaaaahaahaaaheeeww Heel my heart?!
Come heal him right here!?
Now he heals it all by himself for free we don't pay nothing at this time but if I say that's not true then tell us why because God has healed our hearts from sicknesses before so there must be something about healing tonight amen Amen Hallelujah hoo-hey heyeeeee JESUS THE HEALER OF CHURCH!!!
JE-SUSSS DEEHEELER OFF DA CHOACHEEE!! Je-susss de-healer off da choacheeeee!!!!! Jesusssss deeheeler offda chuchcheee??? Jesus?? The Jesus, healer of Church???? the healer of the church.
Come and heal me now.
Come and heal me.
For the last time, Jesus, the helper of the church.
Jesus, the helper of the church.
Come and help me now.
Help me now. Jesus, the helper of the church. Come and help me now.
And that's the song he gave to me that morning. And as I began to sing that song, it looked as though all the arrows of the devil shot against my heart was falling off one after the other. I came out of that place strong. I went in limping You know when the devil is trying to throw jabs at your soul? You see what I'm saying? And I'm telling you, he's throwing jabs of loss. You just find yourself, your heart strained. Don't say it is for man to err.
Hey, take that heart to him. Unto him that is able to keep us from falling and present us spotless.
You will understand that the enemy has seen something coming, and that's why he wants to make sure that it meets you in a falling state so that you will miss your seasons.
But as you take your heart to the Lord in prayer, as you, you go to him crawling, you will come back jumping because he gives strength.
Look at Isaiah chapter number 40, verse 29. Isaiah 40 from verse 29, quickly. Let's start the reading from verse— that's King James.
He giveth power to the faint, and to them that has no might He increases what? Strength. Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and young men shall utterly fall. Yes, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. He giveth power to the faint. Are you noticing that something is going low? In your battery. Something is creeping into your heart. He gives strength to those who come to him. Those that has no might, he increases strength. He helps. He takes away arrows shot into your heart. In Psalms 11:2, since the wicked bend their bows that they may shoot privily at the upright in heart.
But there is a Lord who helps. He helps. He restores strength. He helps. Listen, amen. Listen, Samson, his hair was trimmed. If you met Samson that day, you say you dis— The Lila had lewd him, had taken away his strength by shaving off the locks on his head. The Philistines fell on him, and the once upon a time powerful man was helpless. He said, I will shake myself like other times, and he knew not that the Lord has left. So they made Samson to perform games and grind in their fields, and they were mocking him. They'd already taken away his eyes. The one time he prayed, God answered. Samson didn't call on God, and God said, but I warned you. When you call him, he answers. What he asked for, God gave him. He said that he will give him his strength one more time. He gave him one more time. Listen, while they were busy mocking him and laughing at him and calling him useless defeated soldier, the Bible said the hair on the head of Samson began to grow back. It was like there was a divine investment to speed up his strength.
Angels were ministering to him and strength was coming back. It was— again, his visions were becoming clear. The blurriness was out. The moment he called upon the Lord, he gave him strength. They that has no might, he increases strength. Increase strength. He helps us to be aflame for him. He helps our hearts to be on fire for him. You don't have any strength of your own self. None of us is strong by ourselves. Increase strength! Increase strength! Increase strength! He helps us.
The church.
He helps us. He's always beckoning.
Jesus, the healer of the church, come and heal me now. Jesus, the healer of the church, come and heal me.
To them that has no might, he increases strength.
The Lord is always waiting with stretched arms. Have you lost distance? You've lost mileage. You've lost seasons because your soul drifted away. To them that has no might, he increases strength. The Lord doesn't bury his wounded soldiers. He restores them completely. He doesn't bury his wounded soldiers, he restores them completely. There is hope for a tree even if it is cut down. The stump works old in the earth. At the scent of water, it will spring back again.
At the scent of water, it will spring back again.
Them that has no might He increases strength. Them that has no might, he increases strength. You get me?
Oh. You made me whole at the cross.
Oh, you took my shame, you showed me grace. At the cross where you died for me, and his glory appears like the light from the sun.
Age.
He shines. Oh, look to the sky and hear the angels cry, singing, Holy is the Lord. And his glory appears like the light from the sun. Hey, to it you shall shine. Oh, look to the— and hear the angels cry, singing, "Oh, he is the Lord!" Amen.
Sit for a moment. And that's the beautiful thing about God. If you call him, he will restore. 2 Chronicles 7:14: If my people that are called by my name will humble themselves and what? And pray and seek my face and If they will turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and will heal their lands. I've seen it, and I can tell you there's no alternative. The only way we can finish this race unscratched is intimacy with the Master, because he's our source of strength. The farther we are from him, the more sick we become. The farther we are from his presence, the weaker we become. The only hope, the only way either of us, any one of us, stands a chance is intimacy. I know grace is made available, but you must come. To obtain it. Hebrews 4, from verse 15: For we have not an high priest that cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities, seeing that he was in all points tested like as we are, and yet without sin. Verse 16: Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, so we come to obtain grace, that we may obtain what? Mercy and find grace to help in times of need. Now you think mercy here is pardon until you see 2 Corinthians 4 from verse 1. 2 Corinthians 4 from verse 1: Seeing therefore we have this ministry, having received mercy, we faint not. Mercy is that which keeps you from fainting when you stay in his presence. Your love. See, majority of the noise, majority of the agitation, majority of the all those things that goes on the opera is because people don't love God anymore. That's majority of it, because God has become an industry. That's, that's just the truth. Pastors are milking him. Everybody is taking their own portion. So when you speak from the depth of love, they can't relate. How can you relate since everybody is juicing out their own stuff? Let me share a story with you, and when I'm done sharing this story, you'll ask God to restore that long-lost passion for him. The morning of September 11, 2001, when the World Trade Center was blown off, President Bush was actually out, um, to see some children in the school. So he was still with the children when they brought him the news that we've been attacked. The first plane entered the building, then the second came, then the third plane went to Pentagon, then the fourth plane was headed towards the US Capitol building. The security details around the president were scared. Where do we take him to? That's the man they want to kill. So they had to fly the Air Force One, but they couldn't go to Washington. And while the president was in the air 2 fighter jets were flying side by side. They have just one mission: if any missile is launched against the president, take the hit, sacrifice, pay the ultimate price, but nothing must touch the president. They did that for kings of the earth. I don't want us to get so sophisticated that we forget that there is such a thing called the sufferings of Christ. We must not get used to comfort because we are pilgrims. We, we have to— we are going back. To where God brought us from. The guys were flying side by side with their fighter jet. If any missile is launched towards the president, collide with it. And they mounted their jets knowing they were ready to die. What can you do for the gospel? We're in a world that even church attendance, you almost have to beg. I can tell you stories about the disciples of Jesus and how they were martyred. Your Paul was beheaded? Peter was crucified, and he asked not to be crucified like the Savior, so they turned him upside down. Was it Philip that they tied to a horse and made the horse to run till it shredded his body down the street? Look at Hebrews chapter number 11. Look at what the Bible says about the early church. Hebrews 11. If you're there, say amen.
Amen.
I'm going to start the reading from verse 32. And what more, what shall I more say? For the time will fail me to tell of Gideon and of Barak, of Samson and of Jephthah. Of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets, who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouth of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, Listen, the early church took their pride in persecution. I wrote an article this afternoon about tools that God has given us to do ministry with: influence, finance. Don't get addicted to it. When God give you a voice, you must still cling to obscurity if need be. Don't do anything to service acceptance. It's a trap. If you are going to be the mouthpiece of God, you must speak for him only. Don't maintain your stees when the one who died died naked. Many Christians don't like sting, don't rope me. That's no Christianity. If you say something and somebody counters you in the comment, your heart start beating fast because you're not used to trouble. Quench the violence of fire, escape the edge of the sword. Out of weaknesses were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again, and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance. That they might obtain a better— what? Resurrection. And others had trials of cruel mocking. What you see, let me tell you something. The reason why they were not able to stop this move in the early church was because they sponsored the gospel through their blood. So much so that kings were wondering that this thing we are killing these guys for, and they were willing to die for, there's something there. They will gather women and children in open field and release lions, and people watch them for sports how they were dying. Sometimes it breaks my heart when I stand on the truth and I'm being insulted. And somebody say, 'Apostle is in trouble again.' What's in your mind? That mindset is the reason why God can't do much with you, because you don't want trouble. So you rather maintain your your beauty, your neutrality are not content for the faith. I don't like insult. You were not in the generation where they were stoning them. Take words at least. Be a part of something. When that day comes and we all stand for Christ, Let it be that there is something to your account. What will you do for this gospel? What will be your own contribution? Because we all are going to the same heaven. When you see Jesus face to face, you want to meet him as what? The one who labored, or the one that they were laboring over, who even stressed those laboring. Because one day soon we will see him as he is. Please don't live in self-deception. I've told you, the only way we stand a chance is through intimacy. If you— listen— if you get to certain points of warfare, you take prayer like oxygen. I'm telling you, when darkness is trying to encroach your soul, the devil wants to mess you up. He has desired you that he might sift you like wheat.
You cling to him because your very life depends on him.
That's why we pray. It's our lifeline. Don't ask for things. Thank God for things. I mean, I don't— I can't survive the next moment unless you breathe on me. We're going to pray prayers of intimacy tonight, and you will ask him. Forget about the chairs. Forget about— in your mind, get out of the chairs. And ask him to release his breath on you. Ask him to release his breath. In Ezekiel 37, a question was asked: Can these bones live? Can your passion for God come back? Can you come back to the place of fire? Can you come back to the place of that anointing? Can you come back to the place of that intimacy?
The place of that flu. Oh yes, dry bones will rise again. So ask him for strength. That Jesus, you will release your strength into my being. Release your breath.
Breathe on me, Jesus. Breathe on me. Set me on fire again. Release your flames into my heart.
Help me.
I want to love you. I want to love you like I'm crazy. I want to love you like a madman.
I want to love you and lose my mind loving you. I want to love you like there's nothing else again. Beat on me, my heart has gone cold, revive it. Touch it again, Lord.
Let the heart know the feeling of your presence.
Release your breath on me.
Breathe on me, Jesus.
Infuse me with love for you. Infuse me with hunger. Infuse me with passion. Infuse me with urge for intimacy.
Jesus, thou Son of David, release your breath on me. Release your breath. Release your breath on me.
Release your breath on me, Jesus.
Ask him to release that breath.
Ancient word ever true, changing me and changing you.
We have come with open hearts. Oh, let the ancient word empower us. Ancient word, ever true, changing me and changing you. We have come with open hearts. Oh, let the ancient Ancient word impart. Ancient word ever true. Changing me and changing you. We have come with open eyes. Oh, let the ancient word impart. Ancient word, ever true. Changing me and changing you. We have come We have come with open hearts. Oh, let the ancient word impart. We have come with open hearts. Oh, let the ancient word impart. We have come with open arms. Oh, let the ancient word— Amen.
Thank you, Lord Jesus. Let me say this: if there's anyone here And there is an anointing that used to be upon your life, but life happened and now you just can't see yourself there again. Step out in a moment. Maybe an anointing— we're just gonna lift our hands to God. So he's basically the one that is going to fill you back. And as you're stepping out, just raise your hands to him and ask. You don't have to kneel, you don't have to kneel, you don't have to kneel. Just ask for it. Mention it in specific terms, in specific terms. Be very specific. You know what the anointing is. You know what that presence is that used to be upon your life, and something happened. I don't know what it is, and like a season came and there's been dryness ever since. The beautiful thing is that Jesus himself is here and giving you back, and that's what is happening. Let the ushers help them. Let the ushers help them. He's here himself, and that's the fire that you feel. He's raining back the oil from the crown of your head to the sole of your feet. Some of you begin to see a stirring in your heart like there's a burning and tears rolling. It's because there's surgery he's doing on the heart. There's something he's touching there. He's giving you that heart of a child again, that heart of flesh. You've been insulted for being a child. I don't know who this person is, but I'm seeing compassion, compassion, compassion so much flowing through your heart when you see people who are in distress. There's so much compassion, you just want to help. He's healing that coldness and is restoring you back to that tone of his fragrance. Jesus, thou Son of David, let your hand rest upon us, Lord. We receive, we receive that bread. We receive that breath, we receive that breath, that breath of your presence.
We receive it again, Lord, we take it in. We receive that breath of your presence that you will breathe upon us again. You will hold us by the hand and get it out of the ferry fundancy. You will bring us to your presence again and release that breath.
Jesus, Jesus, the healer of the world, come and heal me now. Jesus, the healer of the world, Come and heal me now. Jesus, the Savior of the world, come and save me now.
Jesus, the Savior of the world, come and save me Thank you, Lord Jesus.
Stretch out your hands, everyone. You are standing actually before your Daddy, and he knows what you used to have with him, and he's been eager to give you back. So this is not a matter of probability. The one you've come to has been waiting for this this moment. Father, I ask that your presence be wrapped around these ones, from my right to the middle and the left. Let your breath that will quicken that which went dormant flow into their heart and mind. Those of you who used to experience the presence of The Holy Ghost help him. So strong. The presence is back. The presence is back. And it's because it is connected to your tongue and the prophetic grace. That tongue is also loosed now. That tongue is loosed. That grace is back. That fire is back. That boldness— I don't know who that person is— that spirit of faith is back.
Back!
You are back to where you used to be. That compassion is back. That empowerment is back. The grace of the Lord is strong upon you all. You will journey with this presence. There's someone here who used to experience strong presence of angels, and it's like a season came and that just went out. You're back, you're back, you're back, you're back. That sign you used to experience, like you are standing close to fire, that That sign is back and it's moving. That anointing like surge, like electric currents from your head all around.
It's back.
That fragrance is back. The Lord is holding you by the hand and is helping you. Oh, we give you praise. I don't know what this means, but I see the Lord stretching like a rod towards someone. I don't know what this means, but I see like a rod stretching towards someone. It sounds like a reminder. Yeah, it's a reminder of an assignment he gave you, but you wandered away from, and he's saying, I'm still there and I'm still sending you. Oh Jesus, the glory of the Lord is in this place.
The Lord is in this place.
The power of the Lord is in this place.
The power of the Lord Is in this place.
The presence of the Lord is in this place.
The presence of the Lord is in this place.
Oh, we give you praise, sweet Holy Spirit. Thank you. The Spirit and the Bride says come. We thank you. For refilling your children again with your presence and bringing them back to this tone and restoring this grace to them again. You step out empowered, back to where you used to be with the Lord. No more weakness. No more tiredness in the name of Jesus. The empowerment of the Spirit. There's just a cloud of glory so strong, so strong here. Stretch out your hands, Father. Let them experience a touch of this. Stand where you are, everyone. Is the Shekinah glory of the Lord. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. the Lord is saying to ask you, how did you get to the point that you hated the prophetic, that which I called you to?
I don't know who you are, but the Lord is saying, ow, how did you allow your heart to be hardened against the call I've given to you?
Get back to the place I placed you, says the Lord, and everything will fall back in line.
Am I not sent you? Have I not commanded you, saying, turn not to the right, turn not to the left? Set your face on me like a flint, says the Lord, and I will restore that which was stolen.
The secret of my lifting for you is hidden in your calling.
Stay with the calling, says the Lord.
Don't harden your heart. Don't hate it.
It.
Don't despise it. Those scars will be taken care of, says the Lord. I will take care of your scars.
Get back.
We give you praise. We thank you. We bless you, Lord. Thank you for restoration. Thank you for help. Thank you, Lord Jesus. There's one person, is one person, the same person who laid hands on you and you began to function in a certain grace. Look like a season came and the same person uttered negative statement and everything went dry. I don't know who you are, all eyes closed. There's just one person for that. If you are that person, please stand in my front. Now. The same person that ought to have betted you into something strong, a season came, the fellow ushered you and more like said some things that took you out. Are you the one? I need to see the person. If you are the one, come to my front. You are the one? Come here. It was Jacob who cursed Reuben, but Moses reversed it and said, let Reuben live and let him not die in multiple portions. Then that which went numb, we reactivate it today. Take it back in the name of Jesus. You are back to that place. You will never go down. Bring him here. Let the hand of Lord remain rested on your head from today. It will not leave. It is done. We give you praise. Lord, it's done. Rejoice and give Jesus praise. Thank you. May go back to your seat knowing fully well that something is restored back. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. We bless you, Lord, you are holy and forever you are God. We bless you, Lord, you are holy and forever you are God. Hallelujah!
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, you are God.
Amen. I sense very strongly— reduce it— that this series is a series that is not just going to be teaching, but teaching plus impartations in every service. All right, the Lord wants to do a quick work. Ah, many of you will have to fill the shoes of giants because you did not even know that the compromise has gotten so deep, and God is already saying, get to work. Get to work. So just help her, help them. God is going to be using many of you to fill places so fast, so fast. We're in the season of secret compromise and secret replacement. So God is sending many of you to fill shoes, fill offices, fill spaces. You can't run from it. It is hard for you to kick against the bricks. You can run. So that anointing for it is going to begin to move you into operations because there's no more time. And God is, is filling the front line for the next generation. He's filling them and it's not going to take chances. So you have to wake up and get to work. Many of you who have thought that you will have nothing to do with ministry and that's going to be your life, you are not going to be able to run anywhere. I will have to buckle your shoe, adjust yourself, and face Goliath because Saul might be there. The seat is vacant. You will no longer say, but there are many apostles, there are many pastors, there are many people. And God is saying, I've set my face on you to use you. What you do is respond in surrender. Do you understand what I'm saying? We give you praise, dear Lord. We thank you that the least amongst us will be as mighty as David. Let valiant men rise from this place, men of war. Ignite us, awaken hunger in us, restore passion. We give you praise, dear Lord. In Jesus' mighty name.
More from Femi

Wisdom born from pain recruits people into bitterness, offence and wrong decisions.

Can we serve God and fail? If you’re not doing the right things, you can love God and still struggle.

The people who stand before king are not merely gifted. They are skilled and diligent in their work.

Get ready for another session of Public School with Femi Lazarus this Sunday.

If those you trust question what you see, will you still have the courage to move forward?
