FIVE DAYS OF THE GOODNESS OF GOD || 9TH APRIL 2024

The video captures a live worship service led by a dynamic praise leader (Speaker A) and Apostle Femi Lazarus. The session opens with high‑energy, call‑and‑response worship encouraging participants to shout, dance, and raise their hands. Apostle Lazarus then delivers a sermon centered on the "goodness of God," distinguishing between God's power and His willingness to act. He emphasizes that God is not only able but also eager to heal, restore, and bless, citing Matthew 8:2 (the leper) and Acts 10:38 (Jesus doing good). He shares testimonies of healing (a couple cured of a sexually transmitted infection) and warns against the devil’s lies that keep believers in suffering. Throughout, he urges the audience to rejoice, claim blessings, and live in victory, repeatedly affirming that God is good, willing, and loving. The sermon concludes with an invitation to accept Christ (with a contact number), announcements for a 5:30 PM Bible study, a fundraising project for a 250 kVA generator and AC units, and a studio upgrade. The overall tone is enthusiastic, persuasive, and exhortative, aiming to inspire faith, gratitude, and active participation in the church’s ministries.
Chapters

Amen, amen, amen, amen. Praise God. Tell me you were dancing or you were just staring at the screen. Apparently everyone around me were just staring at the screen. All right, did you dance this morning?
Amen.
Can we rejoice? Can we rejoice? You know, while, while the praise was going on, God said two things to me. Number one, God said to tell somebody, he said, you have taken the first step in the right direction, and that is the step of joy. All right, he said, I've been waiting for you to rejoice without waiting.
Livelihood.
That is to come to, you know, sometimes people rejoice, and, um, in the place of the rejoicing, you see, oh, but you say, ah, this one is not done, and then they hold back. All right, but that point where you rejoice, where you become carefree— that's the word I want to use— that is where it no longer matters to you, you know, what is yet unsolved. And, you know, you just keep going on and on and rejoice— that is the real time that you draw with joy from the wells of salvation. All right, so we rejoice. And like I said to you, every morning now, um, I mean, till further notice, we're going to be playing fast songs, praise songs from Sphere of Light Church. Like I said, there is, um, so, and, and I, and I want the media to always put the name or the social media platform of the praise leader leader, all right, on their songs, all right, so that people can follow up on these people. I mean, with Christ Spirit of Joy, and then they can always— because people always ask, who is singing? So let's always put the direction so they can always follow through on them. Amen. Thank you, Jesus. The second thing the Lord said to tell somebody in the course of the praise, he said, I'm bringing you into a season where you will now know that you will not get the land by the skillfulness of your hand. All right, let me tell you what that means. It means that all your human effort to get what you should get by grace— he said, that is, I am bringing to a season where you will now know how to take real rest. All right, let me tell you what that means, um, um, where you will know, um, how do I put this? I want to put it in a way but not in the raw way that will be of detrimental effect, all right? Where you will know that it is not by might nor power, but by my spirit, says the Lord. Are you following what I'm saying here? All right, so that is exactly what God is doing in this season, all right? Can we rejoice? Don't forget I said we are not going to sound like ambulance, we're going to rejoice. Deliberately, creatively. Amen. Um, with so much— and thank God today is public holiday for those in Nigeria. Can we rejoice this morning and just give Jesus praise? Is that the way you have rejoiced? All right, all right, all right, all right, all right. You can sound anyhow you like.
Amen.
Amen. Thank you, Jesus. God is good, right? God is good. And the Bible says his mercies endure for what? Ever. The mercy of God is under the economy of his goodness. Amen. Now, in fact, let me say this to you: the things that are under the economy of God's goodness, they are designed to be inexhaustible. Amen. Say loud and clear, God is good. God is good. Say it again, God is so, so good. Thank you, Jesus. Can we rejoice one more time and just, and just, and just be grateful to this gracious God? Thank you, Lord. You know, I, I told you yesterday, and it's a very powerful secret, all right, that the devil has a way, he has a way of trying to set your life in a way that you have a current cycle of sadness. And I said, if care is not taken, you become more sad as you get close to the days of your joy. All right, as you get close to your birthday, as you get close to the New Year, as you get close to Christmas, and the devil begins to remind you this new season without that— each season that becomes your disposition, you have qualified yourself for the next season without that breakthrough. Are you following what I'm Yes. Do you understand what I'm saying? All right, so you, you, what you rather do is that you approach each season with joy unspeakable, full of glory. So to that person who has never celebrated birthday, it's time to celebrate the birthday. You say, what is it to celebrate about my life? What is it not to celebrate about your life? Celebrate it this year, okay? Um, rejoice with people, gather people. And even if it is people who are close to your heart, or you want to go to orphanage home, you want to do something meaningful this year. Don't lock yourself in and let depression catch you there. Is that okay now? Praise God. Hallelujah. Say again, I will rejoice and give God praise. I will rejoice and give God praise. Okay, for those of us who did not see any eclipse, rejoice. Let's just thank God. If you saw eclipse in Abuja, Huh? Some people were buying glasses to see eclipse. Nigeria, everything today. I didn't talk. Am I shouting? Amen. Awesome. Thank you, Jesus. We give you praise, oh Lord. Amen. You see, we are focusing on the subject of the goodness of God. God as we pray this season. But before we go there, um, can we just thank God for all that he has done? Maybe for the privileged relationship— relationships he has given you, maybe for the privileged, um, doors he has opened for you. All right, um, let's thank him for what he has done. Let's give him all the praise. Oh, thank you, Father. We bless your holy name. Thank you, Jesus. Oh, thank you, Lord. And thank you, Jesus. In Jesus' mighty name we are praying. Now listen to this and listen very well. There are two principal dimensions of God. The first is that God is all-powerful. All right, what does it mean to be powerful? It means to have the ability to do anything and everything. In that description now, all right, we want to go semantically. We say that, um, the jurisdiction of the power is within the jurisdiction of his word. All right, so sometimes we say things like God cannot lie, God cannot disappoint, God cannot do that. All right, but one thing is certain, he's powerful. Another thing is certain is the all-powerful God. All right, but there's also another dimension of God that we do not often talk about, talk about. And if we talk about the power and not talk about this dimension of God, then it means that we're going to somehow at some point get into doubt. The second is not God is all-powerful, it is God is good. The goodness of God. We talk, we say it sometimes, oh, God is good, but it has not sunk in. So if the person who is all-powerful is now good. It means that he is not just able, he's willing. You see that? Say it loud and clear: God is willing. So now imagine the way we sing this song. God is able to do just what he says he will do. He's gonna fulfill every promise to you. Don't give up on God because he won't give up on you. He's able. He's able. He's powerful. Now imagine we now sing God is Willing to Do. God is willing to do just what he says he will do. He's gonna fulfill every promise to you. Don't give up on God cause he won't give up on you. He's willing. Now imagine, the will of God brings you close to the miracle, and the willingness, the consciousness of the willingness of God, because now you know that it doesn't just have the power. See, somebody can be able and not willing. I remember I shared the story years ago that I needed funds, and I had somebody who was close to me who was able, and the person doesn't lie. He said See, as you're talking to me now, I have so-and-so thousands of pounds. This was years ago, more than 10 years ago, far more than 10 years ago. That's why I'm so thousands of pounds with me, he said. But I don't know why I'm not moved to give you anything. Ah, that's when I know that, you see, it is more tragic if the person— if your helper is willing, is able but not willing. But God is not just able, he's willing. So let me show you a scripture. Even as we, um, you know, begin to pray. Are you with me? The reason why I take my time to explain is so that we can have a foundation to our prayer. Now look at this event in Matthew chapter number 8 from verse 2. Matthew chapter number 8 from verse 2. Matthew chapter number 8 from verse 2. Media, can you display scriptures now? Matthew chapter number 8 from verse 2. All right, look at it. And okay, let me start reading from verse 1. Now, when, when he was come down from the mountain, great multitude followed him. And behold, there came a leper and worshiped him, saying, Lord, if you will, you can make me clean. That is, if you are willing. I know you are able, but if you are willing, you can make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand and touched him, saying, I will. Be you clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. And that's the point where many people are right now. Say, God, I know you are powerful, but I don't know if you are willing to take me up from this bed of sickness. I don't know if you are willing to change my story. I don't know if you are willing to give me my testimony. I don't know if you are willing to give me a new season. I don't know if you are willing to make this happen now. I'm not doubting your power. What I want to know is, are you willing? Let me say this to you: are you aware that the willingness of God is even more profound than his power? Because the willingness of God is what shows his love. And first and foremost, God is love. So he is more willing than he is able. You must understand that. The moment it is clear to you that God is not on the side of the enemy to afflict you, then you can cry to the good God. One of the problems we have is that the image of this God has been wrongly laundered, all right? We have said many things, um, that does not portray the real image of of God. We have portrayed him as scary, as an assassin, as a killer. We have portrayed him as one who is waiting for the slightest— I mean, my, my— I can't imagine my daughter making a mistake and the next thing I want to do is to bang her head on the wall or to do that. You won't do that. How much more God? So, you know, somebody came to me. I don't know where these guys are right now, if they are still— if they are online or something. But I got a report one time. I said, Apostle Femi Lazarus, there are people that want to pray for them. I said, okay, I'm listening. All right. And, um, a guy and a girl were dating. Um, I think the guy came to Nigeria. Um, the guy was in South Africa, came to Nigeria. Nigeria. Um, while he was there, was not living a sexually pure life. He got— he contacted an infection that is incurable. Um, yes, if I'm correct, I think herpes or something. Herpes. So we came, transmitted the same thing to the girl. Both of them apparently were not living a sexually pure life. So, and now both of them were down with this sickness. The symptoms were already manifesting before they could find out, you see. And, um, so, but the girl kept emphasizing that I don't think God want to heal me since I did this by myself to myself, you know. This is the reward of my iniquity, so I'm going to live with this for life. So I said to her, I said, just for you to know that God is not a monster, all right, I will pray for you to defend his image. You'll be healed, but you'll not be healed healed first. The person that I did not pray for is the one that will be healed first. So I prayed for her, and I told her to tell the guy to go and get his test done. The guy went, did his test in different hospitals. All the virus was gone, healed completely. And I said, you too, now you can go and get your test done. All right, and they got their test done. She got her test done, and she was also cleansed, healed from it. And I said to them, go and sin no more. You see that even if you got into that mess because you made a mistake, I have come to announce that God is willing to bring you out with his power. Are you following what I'm saying now? He's willing to make you fruitful. God is not the one afflicting you. He's willing to change your story. Now listen to this: the moment you know this, the way you pray will different. Are you following what I'm saying? Now I want to give you a couple of minutes. You begin to mention the things that you know needs attention in your life and say, Father, now that I know you are not just able, you are also willing, I cry unto you for help. In your willingness, help me, help me, help me, help me. The issue is that many times we have not been praying the way we should pray because we think God is also on the side of the enemy affliction. Expecting us. In your willingness, help me, help me. Go ahead, lift your voice loud and clear and pray. Lift your voice loud and clear and pray. I know you are willing. I know you are willing. I know you are willing. I know you are willing. Reko sikre derogo shente. Ron derogo sen derogo sheke degedege. Oh yes. Oh yes. Oh yes. Oh yes. You are willing. Oh yes. You are willing. I know you are willing. I knock on the door of your goodness. Let this situation change. Pray, beloved. Pray, pray, pray, pray, pray, pray, pray. I knock on the doors of your goodness. All right, pray. In Jesus' mighty name we're praying.
Amen.
One of the secrets, one of the things the devil does to get people messed up for a very long time is to find a way to convince them that the situation they are in, God put them there, and that's it. You see, I hate to have record of failure, particularly when it comes to ministry. Into the sick, particularly because the area of my concern really, and where I believe my specialization, is praying for incurable ailments. Most times, in fact, in healing schools, in healing meetings, one of the most profound subjects we talk about is the love of God and his goodness. Because sometimes somebody is tied down because the devil has successfully convinced the person. This is where God wants you. Get up from that bed now and say, this is not where God wants me. Come on, get up from the bed of sickness and say, this is not where God wants me. Get up from the bed of pain and say, this is not where God wants me. Get up from that situation, that lack, dust yourself up and say, now I can see this is not where God wants me. Get up from that misery from that hopelessness. I said, now I know this is not where God wants me. God did not put me here.
Hallelujah!
Get up from that situation. Don't say that was what— and I'm going to teach about that today because I'm talking about Hannah and Sarah today. That was the mistake of Hannah, where Hannah said God had made me barren. It was not God, because God was busy trying to make her fruitful. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Our faith is not just hanging on God's ability, it is hanging also on God's goodness, because the root of faith is the resurrection. The fact that he rose, we can trust him for everything. Are you what I'm saying? And he rose in his goodness to make us one, all right, as joint heirs with Christ. Amen. Say it loud and clear: God is willing. Say it again: God is willing. The day it occurs to you that what God is busy doing is trying to make everything right for you. What God is busy doing is trying to make you see his goodness. What he's busy doing is trying to make you see how he wants to lead from this point to another point. That is what he's engrossed with. You must see that. Say it again: God is willing. So therefore, I get out from the bed of lack and get up from the bed of desperation. From the bed of despondency and discouragement, because my Redeemer is willing. Praise God. Hallelujah. You see, I love so much what the Bible says in Acts of the Apostles chapter number 10. Acts of the Apostles chapter number 10. Acts 10:38. I mean, popular scripture says how God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power, who went about doing what? Doing what? What is he doing? What is he doing? He goes about doing good. He's still going about doing good. He goes about doing good. That is the Jesus of the Bible who went about doing good and healing all manner of sicknesses. Now I stretch my hands towards everyone here who is under any form of oppression. I command, be delivered in the name of Jesus.
Be delivered!
You are set free now! You are set free now! You are set free now! It doesn't matter even if you got into that mess by your own hand. The wedding, the wine that finished at the wedding of Canaan of Galilee, whose fault? Whose fault? Was it Jesus's fault? What should— if Jesus was in Nigeria, how will he say say? I no send you. What's my business with you? I serve you. Ah, Nigerians, you tell them when you know, say you no feed the guest, why go call the crowd? No, that was not the Jesus of Bible. Jesus of the Bible said, go and fetch water, serve it. He gave them a sweeter wine. That is mercy for somebody who whose marriage has run out of wine, water is turned into wine. So God is not— listen to what I'm saying. If you're in a marriage that is bad, God, God is not an Ijebu man. So God is not a Kaduna man or an Anambra man. He's not going to sit back and say, sha, I don't warn you, I warn you. Yeah, now they suffer. That's not God. He's See, even if Google Maps can do better, if you are going in a direction and you are seeing on the map 10 minutes to your destination and somehow you miss your mark, your turning, the map will not say, 'Yay, Bright, what have you done? You no go reach where you dey go.' No, it will simply reroute. To the fastest direction possible. Let me tell you, I'm not endorsing missing it in marriage because you know what I am. What I'm telling you is, even if somebody misses it, the position of God is not, let me watch you suffer. It is, how can I help you? The goodness of God is what shows us that God is not a vindictive monster. God is not vindictive. He is not mocking you. See, we need this to be clear in our heads. Are you following what I'm saying? Are you following what I'm saying? That is the goodness of God. When David was moving— oh, King David, oh, King David, sweet psalmist of Israel— 10 minutes to destination. As he go sleep with Bathsheba, 10,000 hours to destination. No, it still doesn't make sense that God will bring Solomon from that union. It doesn't make sense. I'm not— see, get what I'm saying. Say, ah, Apostle, we don't follow one person. I'm not endorsing what is wrong, get what I'm saying. But I'm showing you that the goodness of God is what shows us that he's not a vindictive monster, one who is waiting for the slightest misbehavior where he go slap your head from heaven, pah, your skull will fly up. That is not the God of the Bible. So if there's anybody here that the devil has locked in any chain in any situation and you feel you are in pain because you dated the wrong guy, so you should suffer for some while. Na lie. The goodness of God is bringing you out.
Amen.
I didn't hear amen to that.
Amen.
The goodness of God is bringing you out.
Amen.
The goodness of God is bringing you out in the name of Jesus.
Amen.
God is not just able to make you fruitful. In his goodness, he's not giving you deformed children. So if there's anyone here who is carrying a child who is not complete in a sense, maybe there's a congenital issue, maybe issue of autism, issue of Down syndrome, whatever it is, in the goodness of God, that child is being brought back to normal.
Amen.
I didn't hear amen to that.
Amen.
That child is restored to normal.
Amen.
Normalcy is restored in the name of Jesus. That child will not be sick. You will not live your life running from hospital to hospital in the name of Jesus.
Amen.
You will not live your life running from hospital to hospital.
Amen.
I remember I was speaking with the mom of one of my— I mean, prominent ministers. I don't want to go into the very— I mentioned their name, everybody Everybody knows them. And she said to me, she said, we're having an interview, so she said to me, said, uh, Pastor Lazarus, she said, you won't believe that she and her husband married as AS/AS, all right? And then said, I think they have how many children? 1, 2, 3, 4. They have 4 children, 2 AA, 2 AS. In fact, I think it was after they gave birth to the last born. That they found out that they were both heirs. But the goodness of God shielded them. You know, God told me, God said to me, he said, whenever you meet people who have sickle cell issues, so don't just pray that the genotype be reversed. He said, command crisis and sicknesses to stop. So I take authority over every issue of crisis. See, this is not God trying to make you suffer for the mistake of your parents. I arrest it in the name of Jesus, by the authority that is in The name and the power and potency that is in the blood, we stop that crisis issue now in the name of Jesus.
You—
it goes no further. You see it no more in the name of Jesus. The Egyptians you used to see, you see them no more in the name of Jesus.
Amen.
Anyways, we need to start reframing this Egyptian. You see, because there could be somebody who is an Egyptian who is— who loves God and is following well. Because I don't know how you want to go teach Exodus 14 for Egypt and say, and Pharaoh and his host were sunk into the water. You not go finish. Amen. When you get to the place, you adjust. Some of you just hold the Bible and look at Jonah and say, look at Jonah, Jonah, Jonah that God sent. One day you'll be in heaven, Jonah be looking at you, talk with you, talk. Oh yeah, talking about, about something, something, something, something will not be there. I say, bro, something, boy, not try. Amen, amen, amen. Every condition here, you know, sometimes I go to pray for people and I'm looking at them and I'm looking at them. Person is very sick and I know that this person is no longer sure if God is good. And that's where the devil is hanging. That's where the devil is hiding. That's where the devil is. There's a lady here, you had a vision. You saw yourself in your mom's old blue suit. Um, this one is not blazer. Blazers. This one is not blazers. Blazers is finer, something like suit, you know, it should be apart. You had a vision, it's old blue, it has, it has, um, all this, um, I don't know what it's called, all those stuff, white, yeah, it's there. You saw yourself in it, you are wondering what does that mean. Now listen to this, I think or thought authority against the spirit of repetition of evil. And I command today that you have escaped it because you are hidden in Christ. In the name of Jesus, you have escaped it. You have escaped it. You have escaped it.
You have escaped it.
You have escaped it. You have escaped it. In the name of Jesus, you have escaped it. In the name of Jesus, you see, you must have revelation of the goodness of God. That is how we have the audacity to come to him for certain things. The devil is going to keep giving you the impression that this thing is not for your kind, with all the mistakes you have made in the past. Ah, how many people have you dated? This, this, this. You are not the one that deserve good things. The devil is going to give you— he's going to try to pump your head with what is bad. He's going to try to pump your head with negative illustrations so that you by yourself will see what God has prepared for you and you say it's not my own. Are you following what I'm saying here? I say it's normal. There is spiritual inferiority complex, and that's what happened when the devil has destroyed your self-perception, particularly the way God perceives you. Say loud and clear, I am a love child.
I am a love child.
Ah, they didn't say it well. I'm a love child of a love God. I'm a love child. I'm a love child of a love God. Of a love Now I want this to sink. Um, what's your name? Bright. Bright what? Bright Amusi. Who is Amusi? No, don't be that. Who is Amusi? Your dad or your grandfather?
Huh?
Your grandfather is Amusi. So whenever they call you, your grandfather is alive. Though gone, they still call his name because somebody still upholds the name. So you are Bright Amusi, that gives an identity in the village. When you go to the village, nobody send you for city, but village is an identity. Now, um, are you proud of that name? You are not so proud? Okay, it's not so proud. Okay, I am Femi Lazarus and I'm proud of it. Okay, um, but much One more. I am proud of the fact that God is my Daddy. Hmm, it eats differently. It means I can't be stranded. There's a lady under the sound of my voice, this is the message you need. You are slim, you are black. This is the message: God is your Daddy, you can't be stranded. Listen to what I'm saying. Do you understand what I'm saying? What are you saying? Say it again. God is my Daddy.
God is my Daddy.
Every daddy leaves what is best for their children. Now, yes, if I tell my daughter— okay, I was talking to my daughter, I said, hey, it's bedtime. She was convincing me it's not bedtime at 7 PM. It's not bedtime. It can't be bedtime. If you want me to go inside, just say I should go inside, but don't throw the card of bedtime bedtime and you sit down, look at one eye. When you see that eye, you will— all of you that won't get child first, let me warn you, these guys will condition you. One look like this, you will melt. I'm your daddy, I'm saying you go melt. How much more God? He loves you with an everlasting love. And the Bible said that when we're yet sinners, yet Christ died for us. You see that? When we're not even seeking God, when we're not even trying to look for God, when we're not even trying to be good, we're not even trying to be nice, we're not trying to be a church girl. Where do you think God stands? Is it waiting for you to judge with all your sickness, all your problems, all the mistakes of the past, or waiting to show you how much he loves you? That's where he stands. Lift your right hand again. Say, I have all that is mine because I serve a good God. I refuse to let the enemy steal from me because I serve a good God. I know I serve a good God. Say it again. I refuse to let the enemy steal from me. I know I serve a good God. Hallelujah! You know, I used to be in the drama ministry. So years back, there was a drama we acted of a king that was going on a faraway journey and gave a very precious parcel to his son and said, please, you must keep this. I'm going to build a place for you, all right? And, um, um, by the time I come back, this is your access point to that place. Make sure it is not lost. One day, the son went to take his bath at the river, all right. And while he placed that thing by the bank of the river, the enemy came and stole it. And, um, each time the father came, he couldn't tell the father he had lost it. And the enemy kept threatening him, kept threatening him that you have lost this thing, you are not telling your dad, blah blah. I said I will tell your dad, blah blah. And because he didn't want the father to know and be disappointed or throw him away as a prince, the enemy became the prince, was eating all the good food, and then he became the servant. Servant. And the servant— okay, sorry, the servant, sorry, became the prince. And then was it he would put his leg on his back? And the prince was— just because he was hiding it. And having suffered for years and for years, one day he got angry and said, you know what, I'm tired of this life. I'm just going to tell my daddy that I've lost it. If you kill me, kill me. One day he just opened up when the father came and said, I've lost what you gave me and I've been suffering, living a Rags. Every time you come back and meet me in rags, I deny. The servant has been afflicting me because he's the one— he knew I've lost it. And the father brought it out from under his clothes and said, from the day one that you have lost it, it has been with me. I've been waiting for you to cry out to me, and I will have given you back. If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and seek my face raise them, pray. Said, I will hear their voice from heaven, I will come down, heal their land. You can't hide it from God who knows all things. Open up to him, open up to him. We serve a good God. Amen. We serve a good God. We serve a good God. Stop hiding that bleeding finger from the one who alone can heal it. From Today, everything, every area that the devil is cheating you from because of your lack of knowledge of how good God is, we close those doors in the name of Jesus.

Now listen to this, um, if you're under the sound of my voice and you have not given your life to Christ, we spoke about his goodness. It is in this, in his goodness that he came to this world to die for you. You may say, 'We're many.' That's what the devil says. If you were the only one, you would have still died. Now listen to this. He loves you so much with an everlasting love, and he wants to make you a new person. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, 'If any man be in Christ is a new creature. Old things are passed away, and behold, all things are new.' He's making you new this morning. What do you have to do? Believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God, that he came to this world and died for our sins, and he rose on the third day for our justification. Confess his lordship with your mouth. So when we say say after me, that's what we're trying to do. Having believed, we are saying it's time to confess him as your Lord and what? Savior. So say these words after me. Lord Jesus. I believe that you came to this world to die for my sins. I believe that you died for my sins. I also believe that you rose on the third day for my justification. Today I confess you as my Lord and Savior, and I accept this this gift of eternal life. In Jesus' name, amen. If you have said that, you have said the most, most profound statement anybody can say in a lifetime, and that is what even make you pass from death to life.
