One of the very important lessons that God helped me to learn earlier is to know the way of prayer. And it occurred to me that, um, when God wants to preserve the life of a man, he brings the man into the company of those who are praying. There are people coming from certain situations that if you continue all by yourself like this, you will be grounded. So God insists on you that you pray. And sometimes you are praying, you don't even know why you have to wake up every morning to pray, but you just know that you you should pray. And sometimes you may have no choice. Maybe you are coming from a place where everybody— it is a family culture that we wake up and watch PPC, and you are just saying, what is my own offense here? For God's sake, pray, pray. In fact, Jesus told them a parable to the end that men ought always is to pray and not what?

Faint.

One of the most strategic and rewarding activity a believer can get into is prayer. Meanwhile, I need to tell you that you will not always have the motivation to pray because prayer can be boring. If anybody tell you that prayer can't be boring, because fellow has not done it consistently long enough. If you do, if you practice the culture of prayer consistently. It gets to a certain point you are not motivated to pray, but you must pray as a culture. Is that okay now? So in case somebody is not having the motivation to pray this morning and the next thing you want to do is to off this YouTube, I am telling you that you not having the motivation is— there's nothing wrong with you. The same way Poom sometimes may not have motivation to stay alive, but you don't off your candle. Do. You still endure. Is that okay? Now, the days you lack motivation for prayer are the days that the most strategic issue of your life about to be dealt with. So to know the way of prayer is to be helped. Are you following what I'm saying? Say loud and clear, I will pray.

Say it again, I will not stop praying. Are you following what I'm saying here? Very, very important. To know how to call upon God is to be strong. Isaiah chapter number 40, start reading from verse 28, 29, 30. Says, even the youth shall faint and young men shall utterly fall. He says, in fact, start by saying, have you not heard Have you not seen that the everlasting God never goes away and there's no searching of his strength? And said, even the youth shall faint and young men shall utterly fall, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they will walk, not be weary, they will run and not faint. Say loud and clear, I receive strength to pray. Fortunately, this week we are dealing with the prayers of Elijah, and that's a fervent and heartfelt and effectual prayer. And I'm going to be teaching you how to pray heartfelt prayer, okay? I'm going to be teaching you how to pray heartfelt prayer. Then I'll teach you later in the week how to pray fervent prayers. Are you following what I'm saying here? Paul, speaking to the Corinthians in 2 Corinthians 10 from verse 3, says For though we walk in the flesh, we don't war after the flesh. Says, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty through God for the pulling down of what? Strongholds. So that's a very strong, um, word from Paul. So It means that it is important that the one who will win must be strong where strength matters. While we thank God for the ability to pop 150 kg and you pop it, your chest blows open, you must also know how to gym your spirit. Is that okay now? And there's a saying that no pain, no gain. There's a pain in the place of prayer too. Now I want to show you a scripture. James chapter number 5. And as we read this scripture, let me tell you a story. I've shared this story before in my teaching. This happened in the '70s. Um, a young man— I had the story myself— went to pray, and they gave him a word of prophecy that your mother your stepmother is a witch, that she, she's a bird, she flies. If you don't know what that means, means you are not an African. The prophecy was so accurate, they said if you look on top of her head while she sleeps, that's where the bird flies out. There's a hole there. Accurate. And he went there and he saw it. Accurate. But he got offended, he got angry. Ah, this witch has destroyed many things in this family. And he brought cutlass. I'm going to cut your head. The woman started crying. Femi begged him, I love him. Ah, I'm not a witch, I'm not this. Ah, I just— this, this, this. They beg him. The woman said, please just eat amalato so you are forgiving me. Just eat this amala to show you are forgiving me. Eh, yo, ebambe. Femi beg him. So he ate the amala. I didn't know amala could make somebody run mad. He ran mad. Let's say this event happened in 1976. Till now, that's how many years now? Sustained perpetual madness. You know why? Because he tried to fight in the flesh what should be fought in the spirit. There are families where there is a need for judgment because just one— are you with me? Are you following what I'm saying here? Just one, one, one small witch that he just did handing over for You know they do handing over, huh? Are you aware that when somebody has terrorized a family for long, before they go, it is important they find somebody who looks vicious to continue from where they stop and do handing over ceremony for the person to continue with the list? These are the list of those that must die. However, I've been able to kill two, so you continue from here. This one is a prayer person, so avoid this one because there are people praying for people. When you see laxity coming through offense, when the family is offended, divide them and kill the children. The dark places of this world is full of the habitation of wickedness. I sat down with my friend who was sharing with me— I want to mention his name, he shared it publicly himself— and describe how one, one wizard had killed 6 people in the family in 4 years. 6. 6 people wasted their lives. Get up, everybody, wherever you are.

What I want to do this morning is to teach us how to pray.

And pray till we see what? The result. Mama's prayer got me going.

Pray for yourself, boy. Pray for yourself. What did I say? Mama said he's sick now. Pray for yourself. Oh, my mama's prayer keep me going. Ah, oh boy, you don't know what's going on. You better let your prayers start keeping your mama going. Very important. Now look at this, James 5 from verse 16 says, confess your faults one to another and pray one for another that you may be healed.

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Well, the word makes— availeth much is a very complex word, but what it means is that it makes plenty things available. So as you pray, many things are available. Are you with me? As you pray, many things are what? Available.

Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are.

He prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it rained not. I know what it means to go through a season that if you have not learned prayer, you will die. The devil is not trying to joke with you. I'm not— I'm telling you facto. I'm not trying to scare you. I'm not saying spooky stuff. I'm showing you life. That you dare to try to break all the patterns, all the limitations that nobody has ever broken, you will fight. And it's the earlier you fight, the better it is. Win early. Win when? Early. Everyone, wherever you are, you lift your voice loud and clear. Listen to what I'm saying. First prayer point: empower me, Lord.

Fill me with your power that I become untouchable for the forces of darkness. You see, the people with me in studio here are not praying, but those of you online pray. Make me untouchable for the powers of darkness.

Let me tell you a few stories. You know, people, young people play a lot. Even in ministry, it's not by soundness. We're praying now. I have cried my eyes to God. I had wept for days. Make this work easier, send us help. One of those nights of prayer, I saw a short spirit ram out. So we can be praying the way we are praying and the spirit was compatible with the prayer.

I told you that there are, there are bacteria called thermophilic bacteria. The word philic is the word philia. They love heat. You boil them, they are just enjoying themselves. They are thermophobic. So I said, God, what God said, what you just saw run out is the spirit of lack. He said, from today you will not struggle to get things done.

Ah, we have been confessing covenant of ease for years.

It is today that I will no longer struggle to get things done.

The fervent and effectual prayer of the righteous man makes tremendous power available.

Oh boy, you can be praying like this and it looks like everywhere is sealed. Get into protracted prayer. Let me tell you something. Tell the devil, let's sign contract. If you are a madman, a mother, I will pray till either of us will get tired. When the devil see that there's a madman on a situation, he say, let me give you—

am I shouting? No. Let me leave you. You, you must, you must be— I've entered prayers that I said I'm ready to die. See, the issue is that because we teach simply, people just believe, uh, these people— God is just good. God is good, but the devil is real too.

You pray yourself into breakthrough. You pray yourself out of traps of the devil. You pray yourself out of the snares of hell.

Ah, you are, you are the one trying to break many records. Nobody has done this before. Everybody who got married are now back to a room in their father's house. You are the only one who is trying to go, and you are not ready to. Are you following what I'm saying? That's why I said I'm not going to leave you alone. I will tie you to my skirt.

We—

that God said to me, said don't leave anyone behind in Egypt. In the name of Jesus Christ, you will not be grounded.

Say that amen loud enough! You will come out. You will not vanish on the way like smoke. You will not die trying. You will emerge. The glory of the Lord will invade your life and you are preserved. In the name of Jesus, you are preserved. You will break all the patterns and no devil will snatch your life. No devil will snatch your life.

You are still going to pray. Father, make me too hot for the enemy to undo. We want to pray for yourself first before we pray about things.

I heard a prayer in my spirit. Oh Lord, there will be no reason for mourning in my house.

The cries of mourning and weeping is hereby cancelled. Lift your voice and pray. We will not gather tomorrow. There will be no money in a weeping mouth. In Jesus' mighty name we are praying.

This prayer is for you if you are trying to get headway. He said, I will even make ways in the wilderness and bring forth water in desert. Now please hear me, everyone, I beg you. You see, you can pray yourself into realities, huh? Uh, if you pray enough there are things you will break into. Are you feeling what I'm saying? If there's anyone here who, as you see that now, you are trying to— what is the headway to break into that particular space?

How do I?

Don't pray this prayer on your knees. Rise to your feet and pray, because the knees closer to the ground, you can sleep off. Yeah, it's still morning. Somebody is kneeling down beside the bed, put the head on the pillow. You will sleep off. Are you following what I'm saying here? Very, very important. You are even sleeping with very cold water beside. Pray, my brother. Pray, my brother. Pray, my brother. Pray. One of the best things that can happen to you is that God brings you to a prayer company early. What did I say? Prayer company. Prayer company to pray early. To learn to seek God. Now hear me, somebody is trusting God for a job.

You—

what you need now is headway. You're already on the career path, but you can pray yourself into clarity and favor. For headway to be made, number one, you need clarity.

To—

the ability to know what to do next is divine. Then number two, the supply to do. You can know what to do and have no supply. True or not true? You cannot know what to do and have no resources.

True or not true?

I heard somebody screaming right now, what I need is gadget, what I need is gadget, what I need is gadget. Favor pays bills. What is the prayer point? From today I make headway. From today I make—

it becomes clear. What I must do. From today, I make headway. Go ahead and lift your voice and pray. I make headway. Oh yes, I make God work.

I will pray. I make headway in Jesus' mighty name. We are praying. Say that amen with fire. Amen. There are many things that are very spiritual. My friend was sharing the story, and I'm glad because he has shared it publicly himself. He just noticed that things were tight, things were, you know, and he started praying. I think they did about 7 days dry, you know. Somebody would not bother doing 7 days dry because things are tight, because he's used to tightening You see that now? There are two different levels. And he said after they have prayed for a while, somebody had the vision, or himself had the vision, and he saw trucks loaded with goodies that were driven to his house, but there was a roadblock, like the mounted checkpoint, roadblock. So the trucks were piled up and could not get to his own place, and they were waiting, expecting You see that now? So he knew that there was a spirit that was waving off favor. Me, even when I promise people things, I pay attention to the spirit operating with them. Let me tell you what that means. That is, it doesn't matter if the fellow remind me a billion times, I must be sure that the fellow has prayed through breakthrough. And one of the ways I will know is that there was a— there will be a signal of urgency in my spirit. No breakthrough comes by begging. Breakthrough comes when you break up even in the spirit. If you like, go and sleep at the door of your helper. If God's hand is not on you, you'll be a nuisance. Hmm. Are you following what I'm saying? If God— the day I knew that I needed prayer was the day, the time I was going through problem and And my mentee told me, he said, as I talk to you now, I have so and so thousands of pounds with me, but I'm not led to give you koboh. It was a blunt mentee. I felt you are a wicked boy, but I also understood that asking without praying is begging. Are you with me? Asking without praying is what? No, it's not begging, it's bambeala. Bambi Ala. Asking without prayer is what? Bambi Ala. Audience UK there is Bambi Ala. Are you seeing that? So that my friend had the vision and he saw many of those things there, and he prayed that they dismantle the roadblock.

Dismantle the roadblock now.

The first thing that happened the following morning was that a couple reached out to him. Femi Lazarus. Yeah, and said we are a couple that God has always led when we see ministers that are coming up to support. So God has laid in our heart to sow a seed of, um, ₦15 million, and we don't even know why we have been delaying, but we just felt like maybe the time might be right. Nobody ever— nobody feels anything. Even your helper needs help. It takes divine hand for anybody to help you. Are you following what I'm saying? Are you following what I'm saying? Your helper has family members who have not received help. Who are you? What do you mean? You need to break through in the spirit and then different help. In fact, the fellow said since your wedding, that's when they said I should— and meanwhile the matter was coming 2 years after his wedding. So wedding gift of 15 million came 2 years after. See how favor quotient can be delayed. Oh boy, you have to pray, sir. How will everything be dry like God is not on the throne? No help is coming from anywhere. I, you know, are you following what I'm saying? From today, every roadblock— listen to what I'm saying— that is, that is stopping my allotted favor and blessings from reaching me, I dismantle you by fire. Now, every— all man for himself. What did I say? Let me tell you, I, I rarely ask people to pray for their neighbor. I rarely say, oh, that's your neighbor. I really, I really do. And that's because some neighbors are wicked. So you pray for yourself. Is that okay? Now, you know, during COVID When people started wearing nose mask, I noticed that after COVID, many people that have mouth odor, the thing left. You know why? Because they smelt their own breath. They smell their own breath. Now it's time to smell your breath. You are praying for yourself. You are not praying for a neighbor. Oh, neighbor, I pray for you. So it shows the way you love yourself. Okay, you have 2 minutes to pray.

Let every road block break open.

One of the secrets of living a victorious Christian life is to be on fire. Many Christians in this generation want to pray and receive and go back to coldness. You have to be on fire. That's one of the secret there is. You have to be on fire. You have to be on fire. You cannot— listen to what I'm saying— you cannot despise the place of being on fire. So it's not you praying for things, it is you asking to be kept fresh and burning, kept fresh and burning, kept fresh and burning, kept fresh and burning. That we pray not because we need things, but we pray so we can stay aglow. There are perceptions you can't have, there are wise decisions you can't make unless you are what? On fire. You will by yourself walk out of the place of your breakthrough because of coldness. It takes, it takes high spiritual coldness to, through offense, walk out of your lineage and your breakthrough. The devil just help you cherry-pick small things and just say, eh, this is easy. And then you will now live your life defending the smallness that is a product of wandering out of the way of God. There is a way that seemeth right to man, all right, but the end thereof is what? Death and destruction. You can live your life defending a wrong decision because it takes being on fire to be humble, to say I've missed it. There are people, as we pray now, they already engage in self-sabotage. That is, yes, we have prayed, but about the quality of decisions they are making Somebody is fighting with the boss at work and they just brought you from the village and telling your boss, I will show you who I am. Who are you? You have to humble yourself. Prayer is not self-fulfilling. There are character quotient that put you in place to be strategic. There are character quotient. The one who is asking for favor is not greeting the neighbor. Who God use for you? Angels from heaven. There are people who are praying now as we speak. When they open the door of their house, about 3 neighbors, they are not in talking terms.

They greet them and they hear you praying and they are shocked that, my God, how can a person pray and keep malice? They are shocked.

Everyone you fight with, as you fight with them, God lifts them. Is that— is it not clear enough that there is a demonic force trying to turn your back against the valiant men in your life? Prayer is not— it doesn't stand alone. Somebody who is praying for favor is not humble.

We jab anybody.

It's one that will go and put insult and abuses on status and say, me, I just like to say it as it is. Then you will live the life too as it I like to tell people, as in the hot— you see that hot pot, just carry it, you carry it for long. Listen what I'm saying. It takes wisdom to do this life. What did I say? And meanwhile, you cannot do many of these things if you are not on fire. You need to be on fire. You are venting, you are reacting, you are fighting, you are— because there's no fire. Set me on fire, Lord. Set me on fire, Lord. Set me on fire, Lord.

Set me on fire. Set me on fire. Help me burn for righteousness.

Set me on fire. Oh, set me on fire. Set me on fire, Lord. Teach me the pathways of the Spirit. Anoint me with your oil. Fill me till I want no more.

Set me on fire. In Jesus' mighty name we're praying. One of the reasons why you need to be on fire is to pick the frequency of heaven, to pick the frequency of heaven. You will hear a voice behind you say, this is the way, walk in it. To pick the frequency of heaven. Your life will be slow if you are not picking the frequency. To pick the frequency of heaven, to pick the frequency of heaven, that you will hear a voice say, go this path. Are you following what I'm saying here? I burn for righteousness. I said, really? Now here it is. There is a spirit called the spirit of lying vanity. When you see this spirit operate in a person's life, the person will always make decision that is contrary to his destiny. That's where you see somebody who is called to apostolic ministry Femi Lazarus, say that God has spoken to him that that girl who is a pole dancer, that that is his wife, and he will defend it with his last blood. Meanwhile, I'm not saying that God cannot transform the girl, but now he's saying that the person who can't carry the weight of his destiny, who doesn't even know what it means to be a Christian— I have— you will see people, every decision they are making is anti-God's purpose in their life, and they will say they heard it. It is the spirit of lying vanity. The spirit, the spirit will be so clear. When lying vanity is speaking, it will speak with scriptures. It will give you lies according to a scripture that is twisted. There are many Christians who are sincere and they heard something. Somebody can have a dream now and the spirit says you should away from where God is about to establish you. Are you what I'm saying? And when the devil knows that you, you love to hear from God but you don't like to pray well enough to be sure it is God, then he will speak like God. You should pray well enough to be sure it is God. And then there are people that their online vanity doesn't speak to He speaks to people like the old prophet that went to tell the false prophet that an angel appeared to me, the small prophet, that he should come out to my house and eat. There are old prophets, they will wander you out of the path of God's calling for your life.

Stand your ground, my friend. Stand your ground. There are counsels if you take, it will finish you.

It will finish you. There's a new woman in neighborhood who is telling you that you don't take nonsense for a man. You don't take nonsense for a man. If your husband do this, stop cooking his food.

Who does he think he is? Stop cooking his food. Stop, stop doing this.

And the woman is pampering her own husband. Who is doing worse? And you two just get to your house, your head touch.

You are this, it is— you are back.

The devil wants to finish you. They have put straw in the favor oil of your life and they are drawing you. About 20 demons are drawing it. You know, village elders are playing ludo on your head, playing ludo and playing draft. I say, you play here, you play, and you are just there shaking your head.

Not everybody should be listened to.

Are you following what I'm saying here? It is not every counsel that is to be taken.

There are counselors from the pit of hell. They will finish your life in a moment. Are you following what I'm saying? Was not a counselor that told Absalom to go and sleep with his father's wife on the house? Disgruntled counselor, offended counselor. I'm going to teach about identifying the root of bitterness. That should be my next topic, except God says something else. Because there are people who are bitter and they will mess up your life. You have to pray to know what God is saying so you can fit a counsel. Pray to know what God is saying. I stretch my hands towards you and I ask that you are covered in the blood of Jesus.

My friend used to share this story. It's my very good friend. And whenever I share the story, he will say it in Yoruba. He will say, I'll tell you what that means. He will say, Daddy, my father destroyed the life of this man. And what happened? The man went to the dad and wrote names and said, which of this name is my wife. Meanwhile, there was somebody among that name— I'm not against— I mean, in all honesty, this is me just being honest— the woman was actually quite big, maybe about 10 times his size. So, but the prophet just saw names and said, this one is the will of God. So the guy, as a sheep going to the slaughter, just decided that he's going to follow the will of God. And went to marry the woman. Meanwhile, he was not attracted to the woman, and for over 10 years of marriage, he could not bring himself to touch her. Every time he tries to, he could not understand. Now, there are people who could be attracted to that person, but he was not. He was not. Is that okay now? He was not. And that's how eventually the marriage was just a waste of effort. Waste of years, waste of time. I think eventually everybody went separate ways. It was counsel, sir. You that they are counseling, pray. You see, let me tell you something. We will fast for you, bring ₦50,000. That ₦50,000, what is it for? It's not for food. We'll go and fast for you. You are fasting for me? What, what is the money for? You are eating plantain and yam. You say that somebody is fasting for you, you'll be in trouble. Both you and the false prophet, you will be in trouble. Pray for yourself, pray for yourself, pray for yourself.
