Femi Lazarus teaches that God's justice is about fairness and equity, not just love. Prayer alone won't work if you ignore personal responsibility and obedience. Righteousness comes through faith in Christ, and God's system demands both love and accountability.

So I'm going to be starting the new series. You know the title? What's the title? God's Justice System. Powerful. Now I'd like for you to pick your Bibles with me. And I want to show you some things. One of the reasons why it is important for me to, um, teach across all our centers is to be able to establish the foundation of this series. And the foundational establishment this morning is the foundational doctrine. We like to get into the doctrine of the subject matter. Justice justice, or the system of God's justice refers to a system of fairness, fairness and equity. To be just is to be fair. Now, we don't— or many of us have not paid attention to that about God. We know God as a good God. We know God as a powerful God. We know God as a loving God. He is our loving Father. But you also need to know God as a just God. And I showed you something on Tuesday when he was making promise to Abraham about the children of Israel and how they will be slaves or they will serve in a foreign land for 400 years. He said, then I will bring them back to this land He said, because then the sin of the Amorites will have been full. What was God saying? That I love you doesn't mean I will rob Peter to pay Paul. Whatever it is He wants to do for you, He wants to have a reason. He wants to be fair. And that's why I said you, you must understand that even the system of favor is fairness. Never you make the mistake of thinking that God doesn't have a reason why he's doing what he's doing. That you don't know it doesn't mean the reason doesn't exist. He has his reason. So all these myths and ideas that maybe the nation of Israel was a special nation and this, this, that, and because nation of Israel was a special nation, God just used them to ride other nations— no, they were even disciplined much more. When God says I love you, pause and meditate. I think I heard this from Daddy Joe, bless my heart. He said if God tells a baby Christian I love you, said the baby Christian will rejoice because love comes with gifts and blessings and all that. He said if he tells a mature Christian I love you, the mature Christian will be sober because the child that the father loves, he chastises. Yes. But when he tells— he used the word a bone breaker— that I love you, he said the person will cry, because the one that the father loves, he sacrifices. So first entitlement, then responsibility, then pour that as a libation. Yet the same love, it just depends on where you are. Amen. Amen. Depends on where you are. Praise God. Hallelujah. Are you there? Yes, sir. Say it again. God is fair. God is fair. He's just. He's just. What? That's very serious stuff, you know. And because we don't understand the justice system of God That's the reason why many Christians are getting frustrated. Yeah, many Christians are getting frustrated because we have expected that prayer should have solved all our problems. Prayer is the master key, but not the only key. It doesn't solve the problems. Let me have some boys, some guys, please come. Pastors, please come. Guys, have you watched— both of you, come, come, come, come. Have you watched, um, please don't take me up on this, okay? I want to play ball. Nigeria versus Argentina. Come, come, come, come, come. Did you play ball before? Come, we'll gather like this, then we'll pray in the name of Jesus. Then Keeper will now enter the middle. After we finish, they give us 4-0. Because that you cry to God does not mean he will disregard ability and preparation. Papa Papa! Go to UK, you'll be amazed to see the attention they give to training young people in sports. Nigeria here, you have all sued on the street of Musha and Adekule. You played Before they recognize you, you are 34. They said put your name as 18. You pray for that 18. Go and shave all your beards. They are looking at you like this. Ah, this guy say I'm 18 years. It's not like we are not good. We just don't have a system that catch them young. In the system where it is almost impossible to lie about age, and that's the female football, they are the 10th time African champions. Are you playing ball? Amen. While I was growing up, I used to be very pained if you want to start match. I say, ah, but we prayed, we prayed. Once they give us like 3-0, Taiwo West will be angry. Why? Prayer can never be a cover-up. God is just. Please sit for a moment. Thank you. What that also means is that, you know, I like when I hear those testimonies And I want to thank God for the testimonies this morning. That boy, we've been talking for a while now about his neck, and you know, lone survivor. By the way, God knows the reason why he survived. And most times when people fail to live according to that reason, it becomes problem. That neck is still healing, so we will support him. As church. If there's anywhere they can do the final surgery so he can live his life normally again, that's what we should do, support him. So we will verify this week, then bring up the matter again. Okay, look at the other testimony of the lady that I was to be seated somewhere, and God said, don't sit there, sit in the other place. What is coming is seen. And our world is a complete ecosystem. Let me tell you what that means. If you go to safari, um, maybe Kenya to observe wildlife. You see a lion trying to eat a deer. Maybe you like the deer. It's not your business to interrupt nature. It's their ecosystem and it's complete. For the food chain to be balanced, they must eat themselves. When it occurs to you that in the same manner, God can sit down and things are happening. He will just give you heads up, escape. If you fail to listen, all the plan he has for you might end. And yet he's still God, but he warned you. Why didn't God stop the accident? Ah, so God's children listen to Him. I like the other testimony about the lady sharing about the NGO being given. You see, thank God. But if you observed what she was saying, they did their own homework. You carry document and come to Holy Ghost Experience and say, Father, if what is there is not tidy, you try again. God is just. That you are applying for something with a Muslim doesn't mean because I'm a Christian, ashamba kutaba, I get it. Nah. You lie now. When I was in senior secondary school, when I was growing up, I had learning disorder. I couldn't learn well. I was telling PTA something funny. Come, give me the Bible. It was until 20— and this will shock you— It was until 2017 or thereabout that I knew to hold biros like this. I used to hold biros like this. This was how I wrote throughout my life. Shocking. So I couldn't learn. I couldn't learn. They are teaching, the letters are dancing, and I'm wondering Who invented mathematics? But when I got to senior secondary school, I picked up strangely and somehow, maybe extraordinarily. But there was a girl in my class. I just couldn't beat the girl. She was too good. And I was in a class where the difference between the first, second, third is point. It's very competitive. So my teacher observed that I was struggling. I needed to— if you have been failing before and now you picked up, ah. So he called me and said, Femi, stop disturbing yourself. Said, that girl, she will soon be distracted because she's a girl. Said, once boys start coming around her, she'll be distracted. Then you have your own opportunity. And that was what happened. The girl was thrown to maybe seventh or ninth, and then you saw men occupy— boys just occupied the front row. There's a lesson to learn there. Men don't allow their emotional state hinder their productivity. I'm telling you, a man can love you, he will go to work, he will finish school, except a funny man. He'll finish and do everything he wants to do. Don't allow distraction as a woman. But that was what happened. The girl. So we don't have advantage simply because we are believers. We have to do what we have to do because the God that we serve is not just good, he's just, he's fair. He needs you to give him a reason. Why he should do what you are saying he should do. And I learned this about ministry, that praying that the church should come into more finance is not the only way to get into it. The way to get into it is to work. Show God that you are interested in soul winning. Show God that you are interested in going as far as he wants you to go, then he will rush you with resources. You see me walk myself out. The morning PPC, I was sharing with them, I told my PA to check the number of ministrations I've had in 2020. 5, um, plus the one we calculated, let's say 290-something, 20, 25. Then someone sits there and said, you know, all those Apostle Lazarus, they are just lucky. Well, you can tell yourself whatever makes you sleep at night. But at some point you will learn to stop lying to yourself because it's not fair. I can't remember which of the day— was it Thursday? PPC. I slept off. I woke up 6:02. By the time I woke up, PPC had started. I was scrambling around there, I was, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. That's why we were 2 minutes late, and that's because I've been awake throughout the night. I said I'll sleep for 30 minutes and slept off. The reward of faithfulness is more work. Yes, sir. In any field, God is no respecter of persons. The moment we have a brand of Christianity where we don't lie to ourselves, will scale. Don't let anybody deceive you because they bless a bottle of oil and place the oil inside your car. They anointed your engine, they anointed your silencer, they anointed everything and say, go, come back, this is what drives safely. The hand of God is powerful enough to protect you because what you need protection from is not just yourself. There are also evils that lurk in Lunde. You must understand, life is spiritual. But you don't go abusing that anointing and say, 'I'm—' Don't do that. I have to warn my friends that whenever I'm in their car, I hold the door. And it's like a spirit is telling them, 'Macha, macha, macha.' Is he— once you understand that God is just and our life is a complete and balanced ecosystem, you can kill yourself in a way that God will say, oh wow, you ought not to do that. But you've done it. You are part— you can scatter his plan for your life with one decision. So don't. No prophecy is self-fulfilling. Is that okay? I want to show you the justice of God in the greatest story of love in the Bible. The justice of God in the greatest story of love in the Bible. Turn your Bibles to your favorite scripture, John chapter number 3, verse 16. Look at this: for God so loved— who? The world. Let that always ring in your mind. God loves the world. You must understand that, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have what? Everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. There are two entities in that scripture. Let me use the word personalities: the world, then the Son. What the world is receiving for that love is a gift, the gift of God's Son. What the Son will be doing because of that love is to sacrifice. So when you look at the image of Jesus hanging on the cross, it is not just the love of God that is demonstrated, it is the justice of God. It shows you the extent God will go to judge sin. That if man sinned— and I want to tell you the story in the simplest way for you to understand our own story as the redeemed of the Lord. Are you still here? Yes, sir. Man sinned. Genesis chapter number 3. And I love the way Paul puts it. In 1 Timothy chapter number 2, if I'm correct. Let me just get it out for you. 1 Timothy, and I'm going to read something that one of my sisters— I saw it on her status and it blessed me. 1 Timothy 2:14. And I will read what she wrote there. Look at it. Let's start from verse 13. It said, for Adam was first formed, then Eve. Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in transgression. Right now, we shall be saved in childbearing and all that. So Adam was not deceived. He chose to rebel. That's the story of the fall of man. He knew that the soul that sinneth shall die. God has given them an instruction. Let me see if I can find this. And she wrote something doctrinally powerful. Look at this, said, I have a few thoughts concerning dominion. This is from Pastor Tomi Favour concerning dominion and rights in our earth domain. Dominion and rights are what man, of mankind, gave away by failure and disobedience. It is what woman of mankind gives away. However, sorry, yeah, she gives it away by dominion— sorry, by intimacy and submission. Say, catch this: when Adamkind allowed in Genesis 3:6 Handing over God-given dominion to the serpent. Eve kind allowed in Genesis 6:4 becoming incubators for the Nephilims, the seed of the illegitimate in the earth, sons of God, thereby giving illegal aliens legal status. By bearing their offspring. Offspring. Look at this, making evil beings eligible for mercy, because he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. Now look at what she said next. Said, hear me, dear woman of God, your superpower isn't necessarily evidenced in violence warfare. Where your strength is the premise for failure. Your superpower is evidenced in the stillness of solicitation, where acquiescence to nurture things determined— sorry, determined their legitimacy to save. He said, look at this, and potentially destroy you. Man's power is authority. Woman's power is in submission. Man's power is power. Woman's power is in tenderness. This is why Adam fell but Eve was deceived. Strong Adam can lose by being beaten fairly. Weaker vessel Eve can lose, however, by giving in. So God looked at the story of our fall. The woman could be deceived because of the tenderness of her heart and emotions, but the man is not like that. He was not deceived. He chose as a strong being to let go of God and choose his bride, and the timing was perfect. Once they were in disobedience, The nature of God died. What God said is true, that when you sin, you surely die. What a woman gives to a child is the flesh. Look at the science of childbearing. What a man gives to the woman is seed. In that seed contains life in cellular form. If that seed is lifeless, the woman cannot incubate. If Jesus is the Son of God, the product of the Holy Ghost overshadowing Mary, what Mary could give was the flesh, but the life form came from the Father. We call him the Son of God because the Word became flesh. That's why you must understand that the devil can also give children. People go to shrines and say, 'We've been waiting this, this, this,' and then do some things, and an evil form energizes a seed, and the woman incubates for the devil, and that child grows to begin to misbehave. And do the duty of his father, the devil. So all attempts for man— maybe I might need to give a breakdown what I just read, um, when he said that Eve became, or Eve kind became the legitimate womb for the illegitimate. You must understand that When angels fell, they called them the sons of God and looked at the daughters of men and tripped and fell and began to commit affairs with them. The angels that fell were not angels in heaven, they were fallen angels. Why did— look up— why did an angel develop feelings for a woman. It was not emotions, it was strategy. Yes, sir. What the devil said— if you read Ezekiel 14 and you read, um, sorry, Isaiah 14— what the devil said is that I want to rise my seat above the stars of God. In Job 38, we understand that the stars of God are angels. So what the devil wants to do is to get his own kind to be introduced to mankind. They give rise to new beings called the Nephilim. Why? So that they are either forever doomed, or if there will be a plan to rescue them, now you are not just rescuing man but hybrid man. In rescuing them, he too becomes eligible, eligible for salvation. So angels falling was the devil trying to tap into eligibility for salvation. So God had two choices. One will look kind but is bad. The other will make God look like a bad God, but you will understand later. See, good people don't try to be understood in the immediate. That's leadership. So option 1: look good, look nice, and allow them multiply, and man is doomed. Option 2: they've infiltrated our world, wipe them out, rescue your own seed, energize them to procreate. Hence the reason why that world was wiped off by water. What was there must not be allowed to continue. There comes a time you severe and discontinue brutally to rescue. Why is it that once there is a cancer cell or cancerous mass in a body, you severe it? You don't say just keep— no, you severe it. And when you severe it, You severe it with the assumption that in that deformed cellular form, they might have protruded into tissues that look healthy. And so that we don't have problems again, you have to tap even areas that doesn't look cancerous, and yet it is messy. Do you understand this? Adam fell, everything in his loins died. Through one man, sin entered the world, and death through sin. We were condemned, and they couldn't get over it. Then God gave them a system, and the system was to prove a point. And that's the system of the law. I want to show you something. Are you still there? I wrote here that the law was God's demonstration to man that righteousness could not be earned by works. Let me show you a few scriptures. Are you ready? Romans chapter number 3. Let's start the reading from verse 20. Romans chapter number 3, verse 20. Let's read and echo it together. 1, 2, 3, go! Therefore, by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Verse 21 now: But now the righteousness of God without law is manifested, being witnessed— 22 now— even the righteousness of God, which is by faith of Christ Jesus. Yes. Is that in your Bible? Is that in your Bible? The righteousness of God, which is by faith in Christ Jesus. So what does that mean? You become righteous. By believing in the works Jesus did. You don't earn that righteousness because you are sanctimonious. Sin is sin. Hatred is as powerful as murder. Before God, sin is sin. So you could not earn the righteousness status by your works. If you could, Jesus would not have died. You can't handle it. I'll show you the balance, don't worry. And I'm not afraid to teach it, that you are only righteous because you believed in the finished works. And that's why Paul, speaking to the Corinthians, said In 2 Corinthians 5:17, therefore if any man be in Christ is a new creature. All things are passed away, all things are new. Listen to what I'm saying. Everything you have done are gone. God is not holding your charge against you. So It is ignorance for you to think, oh, I made this mistake while I was still in the world, this, this, that, and, um, this, this. So because I made that mistake, and then, um, God is punishing me now. That's not God, that's your mind. And the devil will take advantage of that mind to punish you. What about the mistakes of those who are now born again. John said, 'Little children, these I write unto you that you sin not.' Say, 'Don't sin.' 'But if'— not when— 'any man sins, you have an Advocate of the Father.' What keeps people in sin is condemnation. Don't sit now condemning yourself. God has provided occasion for you in himself to obtain forgiveness. Are you still there? Yes, sir. Look at the way Paul put it in Romans. There is now therefore— Romans 8:1— no condemnation. To who? Look at it. To them who are which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. Now, walking not after the flesh here means that they are not according to the old nature. You must understand, that was what Christ died to provide. Listen, the sacrifice is so deep that the guy on the right side of Jesus when he was being crucified Jesus could tell the guy that tonight you'll be with me in sa— in Paradise. Oh, look at it. Hope you saw that when they came to check if they were dead or alive, Jesus was dead, but those other guys, they had to break their legs and all that for them to die. Meaning that part of the fruit of that promise is that I will have to die soon so you can obtain this promise. Yes. So by the time that guy was breathing his last, he had been accepted in the Beloved. How did he get saved? He believed. Yes, sir. That's how he got saved. He believed. Through faith, confession is made unto righteousness. Abraham believed God, it was accounted unto him for righteousness. That's why when people are giving their life to Christ, we get them to come confess Jesus. If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Son of God, you shall be saved. Are you following what I'm saying here? You see, see, listen to what I'm saying. There's no sin that God cannot forgive. There's no sin. We've heard stories many times, and people are in the comment section say, ah, this person should burn in hell, he should burn. Well, well, Sorry to burst your bubble. The one who died is saying, I died for this one too. You are the one that should not let anybody kill you. Yes, sir. Because that they will obtain mercy It's true. Amen. Amen. There's nobody— I've told you and I'm saying it again, knowing fully well the generation I'm pastoring. There's nobody's mistake that can intimidate me. What do we do? What God frowns at is to not have a heart that is broken, to acknowledge that you are wrong and repent. I shared the story. Pastor came, and by the way, he's going to be with us again during International Ministers Conference. Came and, um, they arrested one of his boys for stealing. In Nigeria, if they want to deal with you, anything can become money laundering. Anything, or tax something, tax evasion. May we not face problem. So before you know it, the police said he stole. Then the pastor left his house and went to the police station to go and bail his boy. Then the police were saying, are you the pastor of the thief? And the pastor said, I'm the pastor of the thief. And the boy was hearing inside, he broke down in tears. The Jesus of the Bible identified with the woman at the well of Samaria after 5. The church of the 21st century, the one that God forgives, will say somebody else doesn't deserve it. What have we become? You think if there was voting for people to be forgiven in Nigeria, you'll get forgiveness? Let him burn in hell. Amen. Now look at this scripture, Galatians chapter number 3 from verse 10 to 11. Galatians chapter number 3 from verse 10 to 11. Galatians 3 from verse 10 to 11. By the way, I'm going to take a special Bible study soon to discuss the issue of narcissistic tendencies among believers. It is important that I teach it. Look at Galatians 3:10. For as many as are of the works— um, sorry— as of the works of the law are under the curse. For it is written, cursed is everyone that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. So what that means is that the moment you are under the law and you can't fulfill everything, there's a curse hanging. Verse 11 now says, but that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident. For the just shall live by faith, and the law is not of faith. The man that doeth them shall live in them. And this is the reason why you never try to flaunt your own righteousness as the reason why you are better than somebody else. Can I be honest with you? Now, this honesty might shock you, and I'd rather be me crucified for what I want to say now. I've seen great miracles break out in some meetings that I was even too discouraged to prepare for. Sometimes I might have things I'm going through myself and I'm not able to pray the way I should, and yet I see explosion of miracles. That tells us that there is a God who will do what he will do. If we begin to claim to be seeing what we are seeing because of what we are doing, then we are abusing God's grace. Nobody. In fact, look at the way Paul described who the law for. 1 Timothy 1:9, I think from verse 9, yes, said, knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless, for disobedient, for the ungodly, and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for warmongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for men-stealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, yes, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. Yes, and I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has enabled me for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, who was before a blasphemer and a persecutor and injurious. But I obtained mercy because I did how ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord Jesus was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into this world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. He acknowledged that. What is righteousness? It is the ability to stand accepted before God. You can't get it by works. You get it because Jesus put it on you. And I give you an illustration. Can I have two guys? A guy who is ready to give me a suit and another guy who is wearing a shirt. Quickly. A guy with a suit who wants to give me a seat. Okay, you come with a shirt, then you come with your suit. What I don't know is who is bigger. Oh boy, this guy's wife is giving him some pepper soup right here. When Jacob came before Isaac and he put on— put it on— the skin of an animal, he now entered— the steez is too much. Femi Lazarus. He now entered boldly before his father to obtain the blessing. Isaac took him and smelled what he was wearing, which was what died. And said, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field that the Lord has blessed. Therefore, I began to release the blessings. Because we are put on Christ, we can now therefore come boldly before the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in times of need, not because we deserved it, but because we are put on Christ. This is what may offend Nigerian Christians. That nature of Christ in you doesn't die because you fail. There is no such thing as when you make a mistake, they clean your name from the Book of Life, where you now live right, you know, write it back. From the moment you believed in the finished works of Christ, you have been translated from death to life. That is the truth of the Bible. Yes, sir. Say, little children, I write to you, don't sin. But if any man sin, you have an advocate of the Father. Hebrews chapter number 10. Let's read from verse 26. If I can get Passion Translation, TPT, because that brings it a bit clearer. Look at this: for if we continue to persist in deliberate sin After we have known and received the truth, there is not another sacrifice for sin to be made for us. So a believer who knows the truth should abstain from sin. Look at verse 27, say, but this will qualify one Um, yeah, for the certain terrifying expectations of judgment and the raging fire ready to burn up the enemy— his enemies. Anyone who disobeyed Moses' law died without mercy on the simple evidence of 2 or 3 witnesses. How much more severely do you suppose a person deserves to be judged who has contempt for God's Son? Who scorns the blood of the new covenant that made him holy? Who mocks the Spirit who gives him grace? This is the balance of the message of grace. We must not trample under our feet the blood of redemption. But if a believer makes a mistake, understand that your Father is able to make you strong. But don't go about hurting and injuring the Spirit of God on your inside. Have you learned something this morning? Let's give Jesus a big, big, big hand. Thank you, Lord Jesus.
