HOW TO LABOUR IN PRAYER IN MINISTRY 3

Pastor Femi Lazarus teaches on prayer in ministry using Daniel 10, where a three-week fast triggered spiritual opposition from the prince of Persia. He argues the spirit of understanding matters more than age or success, and that ministers who skip deep prayer stay trapped in outdated methods and lose spiritual authority.
Chapters
Daniel chapter number 10, the book of Daniel chapter number 10. I'm going to start the reading from verse 1. Daniel 10 from verse 1. In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a thing was revealed unto Daniel whose name was called Beltshazzar. And the thing was true, but the time appointed was long. And he understood the thing and had understanding of the vision. In those days, I, Daniel, was mourning 3 full weeks. I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine. In my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till 3 whole weeks were fulfilled. And in the 4 and 20th day of the first month, as I was by the great— by the side of the great river, which is Hidekel, then I lifted up mine eyes and looked. And behold, a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Ophir. His body also was like beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his hands and feet like in color to polished brass. And the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. And I, Daniel alone, saw the vision, for the men that were with me saw not the vision, but a great quaking fell upon them so that they fled to hide themselves. Therefore I was left alone, and I saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me For my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. Yet heard I the voice of his word. When I heard the voice of his word, then I was in a deep sleep on my face, and my face came towards the ground. And behold, an hand touched me, and when he set me upon my knees, which set me upon my knees, upon the palm of my hand. And he said to me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the word that I speak unto you and stand upright, for unto them— unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken these words to me, I stood trembling. Then said he unto me, fear not, Daniel, for from the first day which thou set thine heart to understand and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me 120 days. But lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days, for the vision is for many days. And when he had spoken such words unto me, I I set my face towards the ground, and I became dumb. And behold, one like the similitude of the son of men, sons of men, touched my lips. Then I opened my mouth and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my Lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. Well, can the servant of this my Lord talk with this my Lord? For me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me. And there came again and touched me one like the appearance of man, and he strengthened me and said, O man greatly beloved, Fear not, peace be unto thee. Strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened and said, let my lord speak, for thou hast strengthened me. Then said he, knowest thou therefore why I'm come unto thee? And now I will return to fight with the Prince of Persia when I'm gone forth. For lo, the Prince of Greece shall come. But when I shoot thee, that which is noted in scripture of truth, the scripture of truth, and there is none that holdeth with me these things but Michael your prince. Now this is a very, very serious, um, passage of the scripture, and, um, one of the Um, very interesting thing about this is that it shows to us that ministry is first and foremost a business of the spirit. Um, whatever we do outside must be the consequence of the transaction that goes on in the spirit realm. So a minister, one who has been set aside by God to transact in the spirit and then bring the fruits of that transaction, um, in the transformation of the lives of men. Daniel set his heart to pray, and then he described the kind of prayer where he said that he had nothing pleasant. He didn't clothe himself with anything pleasant. Neither did he anoint himself with anything pleasant, and he was there for 21 days. The question is, what was Daniel praying for? An understanding. While Daniel was a boy, there was a strange prophet that was always shouting around on the street that the nation of Israel will be captured and they will serve in a strange land till the end of the 70 weeks. He was just a boy, and shortly after that The young boy was among those taken captive. At the point that he was praying this prayer, he was a very old man. So listen to— he set his heart to seek the face of the Lord for an understanding. And the moment he set his heart to ask God for an understanding, the princes controlling the territory of Persia— Persia is a kingdom, or as at that time, or let's say, Karpasia was a kingdom, meaning that they had many nations subjected under them. The people of Persia would have assumed that they are under the dominion of Nebuchadnezzar, of Cyrus, the king, different kings that came. But the activity of Persia was determined by the prince of Persia. The moment A man began to seek the face of God, and what he is now asking for has nothing to do with the things that can be seen, felt, or touched. It caught the attention of the ruler over the entire territory, and they began to pay attention to the business he was doing in the spirit. So that as God released— now you must understand that the angel that God released to come give Daniel the understanding was not a small angel. That was the angel that descended and fear filled the atmosphere. That even the men who did not see the angel ran. They didn't see the angel. You see, we, as we keep approaching the coming of Jesus, we are becoming more intellectual than spiritual. So we are, in our intellectuality, we are beginning to debunk the idea of the supernatural, that there are certain things that will happen in the place of prayer, that the atmosphere is lit, is altered for life, that you pray to a point that A veil tears open. So I'm just trying to make you understand. When that angel decided— Daniel said his voice was like the voice of many waters, of multitude. His eyes was like lamp of fire. Who was that prince of Persia? That was strong enough to withstand such an angel, that the person God could now send was Michael. And whatever the Prince of Persia was then, I'd like you to know that the prince is still much in existence, but maybe now not over Persia. If you are going to— I don't like to sound spooky, I like to be very simple. Is that okay? What I'm saying is that the kingdom of Pasha is no longer in existence as a kingdom. The prince must have been given a new location, and he can be in charge of certain works administratively, over entertainment, over sports, over whatever area that they think that this prince with his experience can legislate well. If it took Daniel 21 days then, and yet the prince can withstand certain things, now that evil is widespread, we have to pray. You know, I told you yesterday that there are prayers you pray as a routine, but there are prayers you pray dedicatedly. It's like, um, you are shooting gun and then shooting this— the screen is the target. So you are shooting, anywhere you touch there you hit your mark. But there is a prayer that you must hit a spot consistently till It pops open. What was it about understanding that caught the attention of the Prince of Persia? Because the church in our minds believe that nothing— that it is your external prosperity that the devil wants to fight. He wants to fight the attendance of the church. He wants to fight the increase of the growth. He wants to fight your coverage. But I've come to announce to you today that the devil needs you to be darkened in understanding. Let me show you a scripture. Turn your Bibles with me to the book of Isaiah. Let's start the reading from verse 1. And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and branch shall grow out of his root. Can we read verse 2 together? 1, 2, 3, go!
Amen.
Now let's read it clinically.
Are you ready?
1, 2, 3, go! The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and what? Understanding. Somebody say understanding. Hey, come on, say it again. Now the, the word is coming again, so it means that there is this spirit of understanding, and that dimension largely determines what your experience will be in your assignment. And I want to show you something. Pay attention, just stay with me. Proverbs 24, let's start the reading from verse 3. Proverbs 24:3. I need you to get this thing right.
All right.
True wisdom is what? Is a house built. And what? By what? Understanding. It is what? Established. Let's read again. 1, 2, 3, go. True wisdom is a house built by understanding. It is what? Established. Can you give me this scripture in Message translation if you can? Psalms. Now let's read this together. 1, 2, 3, go! It takes wisdom to build a house and understanding to set it on firm foundation. Again, it takes wisdom to build a house and understanding to set on firm— one more time, it takes wisdom to build a house and understanding to set on firm foundation. It takes wisdom. So there is the spirit of understanding, and whatever that is, it is the operation of this grace that determines your establishment. Now, that sounds simple. Let's bring this back to the case of Daniel. For almost 70 years they've been in Babylon. If you ask Daniel— are you there? Stop writing, look at me. Look at me. If you are going to judge success, we will say on all authority that the most successful immigrant in Babylon was Daniel. He was the most successful. He had reigned with several kings. They found him relevant. But a time came that in the midst of that personal success, there was a war in his heart. And the reason why his heart was troubled was not explained. So he separated himself to pray. And what was he asking for? For an understanding. And why was he having the trouble in his heart? Because the activity of God was moving from the place of personal success to a place where an entire nation must be fastened back to their place in prophecy. And it will require more than the desire for personal success to align the nation into their place in prophecy. The man who will be relevant to do that will be a man who understands what is written, although in plain sight, but the timing is concealed. And the idea of the prayer of Daniel was to ask. And what was he asking for?
An understanding that God will begin to show him what is written.
It is not your age that determines your generation in ministry, it is your understanding. So maybe you want to write that down. So I need to explain. If you stay where God has left, it is because you have no understanding. Let me use an illustration, okay? Um, the Lord help me. Look up, everyone. God is doing many things on the face of the earth, but as we approach different seasons, the methods change. Methods are seasonal. Purpose is eternal. The timeline of your calling— there is a method that is for that season. That method, it is your understanding of it that makes you relevant in the generation that you belong to. Let me explain. If you are in Egypt between the first year and the 430th year, you can determine that you are successful in Egypt. But from the moment God came to take them out, it doesn't matter how successful you were in Egypt, you are a failure. Because from that point, God has left Egypt, and the agenda now on the table is Exodus. Now, this is the danger. A man can hear a call that God said something, as at the time they were in Egypt. The same way, if I— please come, woman of God, bring your mobile phone. If I send you a message right now on my mobile phone and the message is, hey, woman of God, make sure you get Aaron to preach to the people by 4 PM today. And let them hold the meeting in Goshen. But as at the time I sent the message to you, your phone was on flight mode. By the time you are going to come back online, the agenda of move preaching in Goshen has changed, and the agenda now is that be on your way out of Israel, out of Egypt. If you receive it late You want to answer a call to Goshen, but as at that time that you are receiving it, God was already saying, get out. As at the time he sent it, he was speaking about Goshen. The fact that you heard it now doesn't mean he said it now. Your understanding may open late. To hear what he said before, but at the time he's saying—
as at the time you are hearing now, he's saying something else. I am saying you can insist on old method, but God is saying something.
So what happens is that you might be young If what you are understanding now that you are to do is what God has left or what God is leaving, there is a generation that that is part of the assignment. Although it is fulfilled, you will smuggle yourself into that assignment. So you might be young, belong to that generation. So you notice that God is not speaking to you about the now because you have not set your heart to understand it. It is what you understand that determines the generation you belong to. It is not your age. It is not the time you answer the call that determines your generation. It is your understanding.
This—
and what the devil fight is to insist that the understanding of what God is doing now doesn't open to you. The moment you begin to seek God in a way to align with his activities in the now, the devil react. And sometimes that's the reason for struggle, because the emphasis of the man now is an emphasis that God has left. If you pick what God is saying now, he sponsors it. He, he does. If you pick, if you align with what God is saying now, you can hear it. Then you adjust yourself to be a part of it because he wants it to spread. He sponsors it. You can speak in his name, but you are saying what he doesn't want men to hear again. There are young ministers who belong to an agenda that is fulfilled, and there are young ministers, and there are old ministers whose days are renewed like eagles to fasten themselves to what God is doing now. It is not your age that determines your generation. Even at 80, you you can still be a part of where God is going. And at 40 or 30 or in your 20s, you can insist. You see, in the wilderness, God led them with a method. When the pillars move, you move. When the pillars move and you stay, you have missed God. There are questions in the air. It doesn't take smartness first, it takes inquiry. That prophecies have gone ahead of the Nigerian church, but we are seeing things that doesn't look like it. Um, I want to say things, but I want to get me in context. There are things you may even fight not because they are wrong, but because of the method. Without understanding, you fight with your eyes closed and you miss God, and you are just so emotional and trying to say, we pull this down, oh, this is not going to work, this can't be.
And you see, the loyalty of God is not towards your feelings.
It is towards his agenda. God can be moving towards a direction that all your doctrinal persuasion contradict. So when we say Daniel began to seek God for an understanding, you see, it is beyond just a knowing, because what understanding does is that it repositions your alignment. Sometimes I'm going in a direction and God gives you an understanding, and it will take humility to redirect your life so you can catch up with what God is doing now. What the devil fight is you catching up with the activity of God in the now. Because that determines your relevance. Lift your hands. Say, I have the spirit of understanding. Ah, say it again. Say it again. Say it again. I understand what the agenda of God is. For the now, and I align myself to that agenda. I understand what the agenda of God is for the now, and I align myself to that agenda. Now sit for a while. So what happens is, as we separate ourselves to pray We will move from the realm of guesswork to the realm of accuracy. See, the tides of ministry is in such a way that sometimes it looks like because time is going, I must catch up. But we don't catch up by running, we catch up by waiting. And many times in the place, people ask me, how do you get your sermon topics? How do you— sermon topic is the last thing I get.
I don't—
I really don't topic is the last thing. What I get is the burden of what God wants to be communicated. However I name it is my decision, but the burden must be communicated. And sometimes for me to communicate that, I will have to break it in 5 parts as I study I say, okay, I get in the spirit, okay, they understand this one, but I can't go to this point if they don't understand this one. So in the place of separating yourself to pray and fast for some days, the line of pudding for 6 months can be on your tables.
But in the place of doing it, you must still pay attention to the voice of heaven, because there are times God said kill Isaac.
And they say stop. And that's why you wonder, um, do you teach from your notes and stay with the note, or you are open to what the Spirit is saying?
Both.
Because there are times you go in a direction and you notice God has spotted something and he say, restate.
The ability to align with that force of the Spirit part-time is ironed into us as we pray. That there is a sermon note doesn't mean it is God speaking.
And he is the one who knows what building block that is needed in the body part-time to be a part of the builders. You must understand, and this understanding comes where? In the place of prayer. As you begin to pray, you'll be— you, you'll be able to x-ray activities.
You— it will become clear.
You can see.
Prayer boosts you to see it from a different vantage point entirely.
Jude 20. Let's read that in Amplified Translation. Jude verse 20. Say it loud and clear: the spirit of understanding. Say it again loud and clear: the spirit of understanding. But you, beloved, build up yourselves founded on your most holy faith. Make progress, rise like an edifice higher. Pray in the Holy Spirit. So as we pray, as we fasten ourselves to the place of prayer, one of the things that begins to happen is that you begin to rise. Your vantage point changes, and then you can speak from a different plane. And what you're saying is not at the level of the man who is not arising in the spirit.
That's why we pray.
To be able to download an understanding of what God is saying.
What God sponsors, what God invests in, is his agenda, not yours.
And that you are a ministry doesn't mean you are a part of that agenda. So what do you do to be a part of that agenda? You separate yourself to pray. The more you separate yourself away from the noise, away from the accolades, away from the praises, away from all those things, the more relevant you become. It is not preaching first, it is prayer first. And where you— you see, the reason why many preach but don't know where to go, to the right or to the left, message, um, what do I add, what do I add, what do I— if that's what happens to you as you prepare sermon, and what do I add here, what can I say that will make people shout, what can I— you have not received understanding yet. You have not. When you minister from the place of understanding of the spirit, it is like rushing waters. It billows over your soul. You, you can see, and, and that's the place where compassion comes from, because you know where God is. And you know where the people are. There is a sharp disconnect between a preacher who is a performer, his message. Sometimes he may even by luck stumble into what God once said, but because he's not a man of prayer, he doesn't understand the depth of what he's saying, and he gets discouraged by their reaction. So he assumes that it's not good. There are times you preach or teach and the reaction is bad. It is not because it is not the— what you are saying. It is because you need to labor in prayer to break the force and the grip of the prince of the territory that has clouded their heart. If you are not a man of prayer, it is reactions that determines your activity. You cannot stay steadily on what God is doing until you have gotten it from the place of waiting.
That's where we have a rock.
There are men in this nation who stood on a body of truth for decades, even at the point that the entire nation was insulting them, till the nation came to align. The fact that what you are saying is not popular doesn't mean it is not time for it. I was praying and God began to tell me to make an announcement, to begin to raise the alarm. That it's time for our people who have traveled to different nations to begin to return home. He said, begin to tell them that bread is coming. Wheat is coming. Wine is coming. It's time to build the walls. And I have been reluctant, or I was reluctant about making the announcement until one of— a man came to attend a service. He's the ambassador of Nigeria to one of these countries, and we exchanged pleasantries after the service. And he said, there's something United Nations is doing and we want to be a part of it. I said, what's that? He said, this year 2024 makes it exactly 400 years that the first slave was taken out of Nigeria. Ha ha ha! You may be in Egypt for 400 years, the generation who left might have died. But you must know when it is to us. Then my understanding opened. There are things God will say to you that is not popular as you pray. You are not a prophet if all you say is understood at the time you say it. He won't trust you with words that will be reference until you pray. I'm saying it again, it is not a smart move, huh? Ministry is not a smart move. It is not a call to smartness. It is a call to dependence. Don't say what makes sense, say what he's saying. That understanding comes as we what?
Pray.
Somebody say prayer. Look at the way you are saying it. Say it again. Have you ever preached a sermon and you heard your message again and you wish there were depth you added?
Huh?
You wish? So with your hands, if it happened, is a sign that you didn't pray to pop it open before you preached it. You prayed to a level, or you would have prayed some more. There, there are points you pray to in preparing a sermon that you weep. Many times before I stand up to go preach, I'm crying. Is that where you will not be preaching from, that I say it has finished? The tears is coming from compassion because there's an understanding you have that you wish the people will have. I've been teaching people, my mentees, recently on how to teach, because I've not found a book for teachers how to teach. And I began to ask them If by the time you are going there you don't know much, how do you need how to teach? You need to know first, because it is from that point that you dish out. When you begin to operate from the realms of understanding, then you have touched a water that won't run dry. You will be able to peep, and that's, that's what the devil doesn't want. The devil doesn't want men to rise. Will understand. He wants you to look like it, preach like it, talk like it. And that's why many are not— they don't know what the emphasis of God is. Part-time, you will know it as you what?
Pray.
In Luke chapter number 18, Luke chapter number 18 from verse 1. And he spake this parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray and not to what? Faint. That's, that's the place of our relevance. That's the place of our relevance. Now, I was telling you something when this program started, but I said it in code, so you didn't get it. It will be foolishness for me to be running a conference like this and expect it at this time to have the same mark like Wafaa Bek. Because in the place of prayer, I understand the timing, so I don't have anxiety. My labor is that the agenda of God for each conference should be dispensed consistently enough Till God now says this becomes an umbrella for maturing the next generation. If you don't pray, you will have misplacement of priorities. You'll be printing banners when you should be praying. Because my team, most of them don't understand me. When we have a conference and they are saying How many billboards? My priority, and I'm not saying it is bad. If we do it consistently enough and God can trust it, we won't need billboard if we fasten ourselves to his agenda. Is the one that will call those who need to be a part of the agenda. Ministry is not publicity first, it is alignment first. I wish you know this. Now, one of the things you now need to understand— look at it. Isaiah chapter number 60. Isaiah chapter 60.
I will pray! I will pray! I will pray! I will pray! I will pray! I will— hey! Hey! —pray! Pray? Eh... eh-eh-eh... I will pray! I will I will pray! I will pray! Pray? I will pray! I will pray if I don't pray—
eh?!
I will pray! I will pray! I will pray! I will pray! I will praise— Eh? —God's name... ...and worship His holy presence all day long. Amen. Hallelujah to God forevermore! I will pray! I will pray! I will praise— I will pray! Eh? I will pray! I will pray! I will pray!
Astosprey eh?!
I will pray!
I will pray— eh-eh-eh!
Eh?
—I will pray; I will pray... I will pray. I will pray! I will pray! I will pray... Ahh?! I will pray. I will pray, I will pray, I will pray. I will pray, I will pray, I will pray. Iba da pray. I will pray, I will pray, I will pray. Apostles pray. I will pray, I will pray, I will pray. We will pray, we will pray, we will pray. Femi Lazarus, pray. We will pray, we will pray, we will pray in Jesus' mighty name.
We are praying. Sit down for a while. Let me just announce, in case you're a minister and it looks like nothing is really happening seriously, but you are praying, something is happening. By the time the noise is over, only those who know the agenda will be standing. There are seasons for noise. We don't measure impact by virality. So that's the reason why I, I Crazily have to depend on God. That you have a sound today doesn't mean you will have tomorrow. You must fasten yourself to the chariot of his move. Isaiah 60 from verse 1. Ah, shaka bande! Arise, shine, For thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is what? Risen upon you. Yes. Verse 2 now. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and what? Gross darkness the people. But the Lord shall arise upon you. So what's the activity of that Prince of Persia? It is to cast shadows over the minds of people in a territory. Real people who are combatant are those who are removing the effects of the shadows through prayers. Their message may not be loud, but if other messages are heard, it is because of their prayers. The real warriors over territories are those who are dealing with the spiritual forces hindering the activities of God, the forces that have cast shadows over the land to make sure that men remains in darkness. That is where we legislate from. Keep this scripture open in 2 Corinthians 10 from verse 3, say, for though we walk in the flesh. We do not war after the flesh, but the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imagination. We bring into subjection every high thing to the obedience of Christ. It is not just a message, it is war. That there are structures that principalities and powers have erected in a nation over the heart of men. For instance, let me give you a major structure. Build factories, not churches is a structure. From the moment that statement was said, a foundation was laid.
You cannot pull down that foundation by preaching alone.
You must pray through that they will give you a wisdom that no adversary can withstand or can say. Until you pray through, you can't pull it down.
We pull down principalities, we pull down high things and bring them to the obedience of Christ as we pray.
The most strategic activity of a ministry is prayer.
That's the most strategic. That's the place where everything flows from. Say it again: we will pray.
Femi Lazarus. So there are forces over territory whose duty is to make sure that nobody raises their head in prayer. And it's possible to be a man of God and captured by them. You may do every other thing, but don't pray. That's their language. That Isaiah chapter number 60. Yes, let's read from Message translation. I love what Message— from verse 1 now. Message translation from verse 1. Out of bed. Yes, quickly get out of bed. Hey, can I tell you, get out of bed, ministers!
Get out of bed! Wake up! Put your face in the sunlight. God's bright glory has risen for you. Yes.
2 now. Olet is wrapped, wrapped. Wrap something. Sometimes there are different layers of wrappings that needs to be unveiled, and sometimes you may not understand the reason why you are preaching to the same people and they are as dumb as they've always been. Because they are rappings. Then get away from just holding the mic and begin to insist in the place of prayer.
We break the layers of darkness cast over this ministry. The whole earth wrapped in darkness, all people sunk in deep darkness, but God rises on you. His sunrise breaks over you.
It is when this happens that nations will now come to your light. That's when it happens. When he says get out of bed, it means you have also been wrapped in darkness before. But as you get out, nations begin to react, they begin to respond, they begin to see the light.
It is possible you carry a light that is still wrapped, but as you get out of bed and begin to, in the place of prayer, remove the wrappings, remove the wrappings, of lack of understanding, then a light breaks and nations begin to ask, where is that light shining from?
It is prayer first. It is prayer first. It is prayer first. It is prayer first. It is prayer first. It is prayer first. You are traveling You are groaning in the place of prayer because there's a light that needs to break.
Something needs to quicken. Something needs to pop open. Something needs to come out. You are energized. You are, you are, you are receiving insight in the place of prayer. You are being moved. You have been carried by Pray!
I will pray— —I will pray—
Pastor Samson Ogbunna from Nigeria says that we need to be praying for our leaders because they're not doing their job well enough. Praying does help us do better than what's been done by them so far. We can't rely on any one person but God himself who has given his word of life unto all men. So let me tell you this morning if your pastor doesn't know how to preach or he don't have an idea about preaching then it means there must be something wrong with him; somebody said nope nothing was going right before now just like today everything went good again? No sir... He didn't even finish speaking when everybody started clapping at once. That man needs prayer too. Amen?! Let me say another thing here people, please listen carefully. There were some questions asked yesterday concerning my message "A Prayer Answered." And someone wrote down these words which made sense to me very much.
Someone told me 'Pastor Stephen' had prayed 3 times every day since last week until Jesus Christ came back.' Oh yes!
Yes indeed, amen!? Praise Him!!!
Hallelujah!! Thank You Lord JESUS CHRIST!!!!
Pray! You should pray— you shall pray— you shalt pray... Pastors' prayer! Eh eh eh eh ehh heh? You shoot prey— you shoopray— yooshoopayy. I will pray! Eh eh eh— You should pray! You should pray! You should pray! I will pray! I will pray! Eh eh eh— I will pray! I will pray, I will pray.
Pray, beloved, until your light breaks. Pray, pray, don't stop praying, don't stop praying, don't stop praying, don't stop praying.
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
In Jesus.
Name we are praying.
Sit down for a while. Listen, listen, let me tell you something, some behind the scenes. There are times that in the place of prayer and preparing for a meeting, I know, I've seen, I've caught it, that in this conversation with God's people, there is a major storehouse that the devil has been able to erect a structure that holds a generation bound. You see that? And I know that in this teaching, they have to be confronted. And I go headlong. I'm not afraid. I go headlong. Confront what God wants me to front, and it will be blessing lives until certain princes cause the attention of people to drag controversy out of it. What do I do in the midst of such? The truth will not be hindered by their narrative. Let me tell you something, there are blogs I have gone to and I look at it and I say, I curse the root of this block. It doesn't rise from here anymore. I scatter their language and nip it here.
I curse it.
It's not them. It's a force that is casting shadows over territories. Don't do your ministry in the shadows. Let the light break open. Don't do your ministry from the shadows. Let the light, what, break open. You must insist like Joshua that the sun will not set over Ajaleon till you finish. You must insist. Pastors, pastors, pastors, you must insist that the sun will not set over Ajaleon till you finish. You must insist that the moon will not estin back to its place till you have accomplished all that God wants you to accomplish. That your light will not be a light that shone for a season and you can't trace anymore. It's prayer, it's prayer, it's prayer. May I want us to pray? I came to teach you about prayer in this conference, but it doesn't look like you want to. When Jesus was going through the wilderness for 40 days, His major activity was what? Prayer. If you feel the ministry is still in the wilderness phase, do what Jesus did— pray. If you don't pray, you will not emerge with power. Pray!
Pray through! Because there are many temptations you will yield to.
He survived all because he prayed. He prayed. He fasted. In those days, he had nothing. He fasted.
Fast more, pray more, fast more, pray more, fast more, pray more. Every shadow that's cast over my message, give way! Then your people will break into a new light, and now they begin to understand. Every shadow, tentacles cast over our ministries, give way now!
Insist now in the place of prayer. Insist. Don't do your ministries from the shadows.
Oh, if only ministers will pray.
If only you will pray.
Pastors, pray.
Zabier. Femi Lazarus. I will pray, I will pray, I will pray, I will pray, I will pray. Pastor Femi Lazarus. We will We will pray, we will pray, we will pray. Ibadan, Femi Lazarus. You should pray, you should pray, you should pray. Ah, in Jesus' mighty name. We are praying.
Say that amen loud enough.
Say it again.
We will give ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word. Say it again. I will give myself to prayer. I will abandon myself to prayer. To be a reckless abandon. I will sell myself to burn.
Let me tell you something.
Let me tell you something. You can call the devil any name, but that guy is not a fool. There are times that it can cast shadows over a ministry, and everybody is understanding what the man of God is saying, and there's just petty strife, petty issues, petty this, petty that, and will make sure you are distracted from a major season. There are things that you are due for, you are ready for. God has allocated, but it's not appropriated here. Ministries that are due for help and favor, but the person that God has sent won't just see it because there's a shadow cast over their souls. Once you start traveling, don't stop till you give birth. Can I give us one more minute? Osto roa.
Thank you, Lord. Amen.
As you begin to pray You will understand that many things are possible. I'm telling you, people of God, I'm telling you, as you begin to pray, you will understand that some seasons are what they are because of your posture. Pray.
