I just want to say that there can be many in the people, many people in a room like this, yet the Lord is responding to the hunger of one man. One man can stir the entire sermon for the Lord to direct it his way. I want to read from the book of Genesis chapter 32, verse 24. Now this is where Jacob, he was entering into a new season, and he took his two wives and everything that he had, and he sent them on ahead. He said, I'm going to stay back. And this is what it says, verse 24: And Jacob was left alone, and there he wrestled with a man with him until the breaking of day. You guys have gotten to the point where you're here, you separated yourself, but now it's time to wrestle. So we are going to pray, we're going to pray. I just want to say that Apostle says that prayer is what prepares the soil to receive the seed. Prayer is what prepares the soil to receive the word. There's a lot of people here tonight that can feel like they don't know how they're going to go into the next season, how the doors are going to open. They don't know how the chains are going to be lifted off. But let me tell you, the secret is in verse 25, Acts chapter 16, verse 25. And it says, at midnight Paul and Silas prayed. You don't fight who you think you can destroy. So the devil must probably have an estimation of something. Maybe I can do this to him, I can— who knows. Let's get into the details. They're not projecting scriptures for you, but you have your Bibles, right? Okay, so look at it. Michael and his angels fought. Did you see? Michael and God's angels— Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon fought and his angels. You know, when you read this Scripture, if you read it too fast, you may miss important details. If you're going to describe that the devil was waging war against God, the name I expected you to use is not dragon, it should be Lucifer. So which means that it actually— he went through a process of conversion internally and then conversion externally, so that by the time he started the war, he was already no longer Lucifer, Son of the Morning. Now he was Dragon. Um, that word dragon there describes a serpent. I don't know if it's, um, Message. Can they give me a Message translation? All right. War broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought back. All right, there's a translation I'm looking for that spoke about the serpent, because that's the word. And he was cast into where? Talk to me now. Into where? Where was this? As student of the Bible, one thing is certain: whatever this timeline was, it was not after Adam. It was not after Adam, it was pre-Adam. So it gives us an understanding that the earth existed when it fell. Just want to be as simple as possible. Hey, do I still have you? Where was he cast into? And his angels were cast out with him. So this was before Adam. So when before Adam was this? Genesis is in your Bible. You didn't just pay attention. Genesis chapter number 1, we read verse 1, 2, and 3 quickly tonight. One of the things that will happen tonight is deliverance. Amen. Are you ready? Yes, sir. Look at it. In the beginning, when, when, when God created what? The heaven and what? The earth. Verse 2 now: And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. When there was no more space for the old serpent, the devil that rebelled from this place, he was cast out to this place. And immediately he was cast out, everything God finished was destroyed. I'll show you more scriptures because— can you stop Everywhere the devil steps, he fight the activities of God. Everywhere. What did Michael do and his angels? They fought. So anywhere you see that old serpent, anywhere you see that master of trick, anywhere you see that dragon, you don't sit down and cry and say, I don't know how my life got to this point, I don't know, but I'm trying my best. I'm— will you keep quiet and fight? Yes, sir. Michael fought till there was no place for him. And this is one message the Nigerian church must understand now. Michael didn't say, um, what will be will be, the kingdom of God is indestructible. It didn't say God is too mighty to be fought, nobody can destroy what God has built. But the same God who made the Heavens made the Earth. And if the presence of this rebel can destroy the Earth, he intended to do something. You know what we say about the Nigerian church? Oh, nobody can destroy the church. Jesus already said, I will build my church and the gate of hell will not prevail against it. Let them fight against the church, don't let Christians participate in what they should do. Don't worry, the church is indestructible. Amazing. Bad theology. I can, I can show you church history. Many places where the disciples witnessed have become monuments. You will not even be able to trace that there was a time that there was a powerful move there. Go to the United Kingdom, go to Scotland. Um, what's this man's name that prayed? John Knox. Go to his house, it's now a place of visitation where people visit and just, oh wow, so there was a time that someone great like like this spirit here. Moves becomes monument when sons refuse to fight. Look at— thank you, you can sit for a while— look at what Jesus said in Matthew chapter number 16 when he was asking, who do men say that I am? Some said you are Elijah, Some said you are Moses. Some said you are one of the prophets. He said, who do you say that I am? Peter said, you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. And Jesus said, oh, I say to you, you are Peter, son of Barjona. Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. Upon this rock now, Petra— that's the truth now of Jesus being the Son of God— I will build my church. The word church, there's the word ecclesia. You don't know what that means? It means house of senate, a legislative house. And he said the next thing is, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. If somebody— if I look at you and I say, both of you come, come, my friends, come. And I look at you and I say, he won't win you. What does that mean? It means he will fight you. So when he said, I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it, it means the moment the church is being built, expect fight from the gates of hell. Listen to what I'm saying here. One of the proof that there is an extension of God's sight into your life is contention. If you live a life and you see adversity here and there, the devil is contending for your prayer life, contending for your anointing, anything contending for your morality is a sign there is something God is building. Anywhere the devil is not fighting, God has no investment there. Lift your right hand. Say it again: I will fight. Say it loud and clear: I will not chicken out. I grew up in the north. Grew up in Kano, so I understand that more than any church in this country, the church in the north must understand contention. We are pressed on all sides yet not destroyed. Why the hatred against the church? Why the hatred against the faith I was showing our School of Ministry students, a man was arrested in London. You know what he was doing? He stood miles away from an abortion clinic and was just praying under his breath. Then they sent police to come arrest him. Guess what the The charges was they said because the activities performing there can get someone who is about to have abortion to change the mind. So they know that there is an influence that is being generated when a man calls upon God and has the ability to alter atmospheres. You think Christians are just been fought in Arab nations. Christians have been fought in the West. Yes, sir. Almost anybody who wants to trend, any blog, any platform, seems to understand that the fastest route to it is to get a pastor and bully. Why? It's a pattern we have. In Acts chapter number 12, Herod stretched forth his hand and took James and he killed him. Then he observed it pleased the Jews. That was Herod's observation, but my own observation is that it pleased the church also. Why? They didn't complain. And when he saw that, oh, there's no contention, he stretched his hands and took Peter. And as he took Peter, the church prayed. Then it occurred to us that it was not Herod who killed James, it was the prayerlessness of the church. Because the moment he took Peter and the church began to pray, God sent angels. Oh my God, people won't believe until they see the glory of God in our midst. Some people take some pastors somewhere to slaughter them. And an angel just touched the head, just begin to vomit blood. The Lord that we serve is a man of war. The reason why you are not seeing him in action is because you, his child, have refused to engage him. You have refused to fight. It took Peter. The Bible says the church prayed without ceasing. The moment the angel— you see, heaven is too big for argument. The angel just stepped into his prison. That particular angel is a chain breaker. Any, any locked door that that angel stands before just breaks. He stood before Peter, the chain fell off his hands. He didn't say, break in Jesus' name. That's why when Gabriel was talking to Zechariah, he was arguing. Gabriel said, you know who I am? I'm Gabriel, and this is my credential. I stand before the Lord of Hosts. When we come from that place to talk to you, don't argue. Keep quiet till this child is born. There's a dimension of God that needs to come back to the church. It's called judgment. I won't mention names. I was listening to one of the fathers in the body of Christ. They got a big land for camp, and a young military guy came to threaten asking for the document. So he looked at the guy and said, 'Even your boss don't dare talk to me this way.' So he said, 'I won't argue with you. Good night.' And that good night was actually a good night. It's going to be a long night till eternity. There is the dimension of that is judgment, and you will see it because he will arise as a man of war to contend with them that contend with you. I didn't hear that amen loud and clear. Maybe somebody is not ready for that dimension. I said he will arise as a man of war and contend with them that contend with you. See, for a moment, when God fights for you, even you that he's fighting for will be afraid.

You fear.

The Lord of Hosts is his name. Pay attention to what I'm showing you tonight. Still checking you out. For some reasons, one of God's trusted generals— let me use that word— became disgruntled with some of the things God was doing. So nowadays I hear things like, I don't go to church again because they hurt me. If God was your pastor, you'll still be offended. What did I say? What, what was Jesus' offense towards Judas? Nothing. Have you, have you gone you've gone to bank before and it was a rude banker that attended to you, do you say, me, I will never come back here for my money again? What nonsense! I see that bank, I dash them, I dash them, let them go with it. There's a point you love God too that nobody can send you out of his presence. Are you following what I'm saying here? Very important. And I want to show you what the devil wanted, because that's pivotal. Have you prayed before in a way that every organ in your body knows that you pray? Aha, that's the way you pray today. I want to take you on a journey. Are you with me? Look at this. The devil didn't just fall or didn't just cause trouble. Look at what the Bible says as we continue reading that scripture in verse 8. Now Revelation 12:8 said there was— okay, sorry— and it prevailed not, neither was their place found anymore in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, the old serpent called the devil and Satan, which deceived the whole world. He was cast out of the earth— and is cast into the earth, sorry— and his angels were cast with him. Now look at this. And I heard a loud voice in heaven, a loud voice saying in heaven, now is come salvation and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ. For the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night, and they overcame him by what? The blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. And they loved not their lives unto death. Interesting. They didn't overcome by staring, they overcame by fighting. It was a serious warfare. This guy didn't just fall, he was able to influence part of God's perfect creation. Creatures. So much so that at his fall, the Bible now said his angels fell with him. Let me tell you something, and I want to beg you, everywhere and every season that destiny is to be initiated, there's always a great fall. One of the ways you can tell that a generation is about to enter into a new Kairos moment is that there is going to be the spirit of offense and falling away first. There is always the falling away first before the revelation. Why? And I'll tell you. There are many people who come before the Lord and say, I'm ready, use me, but they don't have the internal framework to sustain the glory. So they are allowed to be checked out. Oh Lord, I know I'm going to serve you all my life. I'm going to worship you. I'll be a pastor. I'm going to touch the ends of the world. And a girl just come winking. I said, I don't even know what's happening to me right now. It's the other time I felt it was God who called me, but you see, it's like he flashed me. It's not really a cock. There is nowhere in your destiny that it is written that you are the one that should fall. Every fall is a choice, a personal one at that. I can show you from scripture. The Psalmist captured that, yes, Jesus will be betrayed by one one who is close to him, but it was a variable. In every great house there will be a fall because there are different kind of vessels. But you choose, you choose, do you want to stand or you want to fall? And the way you allow your foundation foundation to be laid is what determines whether you will last. If a man jumps from 2 building stories, huh, and jumps— no, 2 building stories is too small. Let's say he jumps from 10 building stories, tall ones, and jumps. You know, while he's still in the air, he's now saying, oh Lord Jesus, I will not die, Lord Jesus, I will not die. What Lord Jesus wanted to help you to do is not to jump. Now that you have jumped, you can't disregard the principles of Lord Jesus. Don't let me die, don't let me die. Before you finish it, you have scattered. Jesus told Peter, he said, the devil has desired you that he might sift you like wheat. He said, but I prayed for you. That's, that's, that's the pointer. It means in every house there are times the devil looks around and say, I want this one. And how do you know the one that the devil wants? It checks for the one that has the tendency to lead the rest. The devil doesn't fight you by your age, he fights you by the threat you represent. It means if Judas had not fallen, we would have seen amazing exploit of Judas. Think about it. Peter, Peter, the one that Jesus said to the flesh and blood has not revealed will this to you, Peter.

What?

Despite the fact that Jesus said, I prayed for you, that same Peter still at one point said, if I know Jesus, this guy, you say I know him, if I know him, I bend. But what kept him? Mercy. A man who has the capacity to deny him 3 times has the energy to betray him. He had what it takes, but mercy just said, not this one. That's why what keeps you is mercy. 2 Corinthians 4:1, seeing therefore we have this ministry 3, having received mercy, we faint not. Mercy is what keeps us from fainting. Lift your right hand and say it at the top of your voice: I receive mercy. I receive mercy. What destroyed those who have gone ahead of you, you have some appetite for it. So you are not invincible. And in case you think you stand, it is because mercy is still holding you. And if you brag too much, there is a way you'll be allowed to try it by your own strength. Then it occurs to you that it is the one that God keeps that is kept. The race is not to the strong, the battle is not to the swift, the battle is not for the strong. It is time and chance. That happens. Mercy is what helps a man maximize seasons. Lift your two hands again. Say, Lord, I receive mercy.

Say it again. Lord, I receive mercy.

If you are— if you're here— hey, Precious, sit on strings for me, please. If you're here and you have have a record of people you have looked up to who have gone ahead of you. Maybe you are not even the first God is trying to call from your lineage. Maybe you are even— it looks like there's an extension of God's call upon your life because the original vessel failed. I'd like to inform you that the same meal the devil served that vessel that they fell is kept get the same meal for you and they will microwave it when you get to the season. I have seen people who look like they are invisible disappear out of the radar. I've seen mighty men fall. I've seen people weep. I've seen people— Bible said concerning Saul, he said Saul had died like one who was not anointed with oil. So I understand. I know you are a prayer warrior, get it. I know you can fast, get it. But I'm saying today, anchor yourself on mercy. That Lord, it doesn't matter how hard the devil desires me, it doesn't matter how hard my body tries to betray me. For those of you who are seated, you must have found it. At every junction I find myself. Let mercy be my anchor. Can I give you the next 1-2 minutes to pray it? Let mercy be my anchor.

Oh Lord, my God, all that I want Is your touch. Let your hearts cry. My faith, it is hiding on this mountain to drink from your love.

We bless your holy name. In Jesus' mighty name we are praying. Let that amen roar like thunder. Sit for a moment. I shared a story. I went somewhere for a— I was invited invited to come pray for a woman on her 50th birthday. Was it 50 or 40? I can't remember again. And while I sat down, I saw an elderly preacher walk into that place, and I recognized him. I recognized him. Yes. Days back I was somewhere and that same man walked in there to ordain a young minister. The young minister he ordained had long been out of the race, but the old man who brought the oil was still standing. How can Saul be expired but Samuel is still fresh? One of the things mercy secures in a man's life is longevity. It is possible to burn for a while, but there is the fire that never goes out. There is the dimension of mercy that insists, not this one. I I understand he is weak. I understand he's not strong. I understand he may not be praying the way his destiny requires, but by God's veto power, say, not this one. Paul recognized in Romans 9, he said, God will have mercy on those he will have mercy on, and and compassion on those who love. He said, the children being not yet born, neither having done good nor evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand. There is an election that you didn't contest for. You couldn't have contested for it. It predates your existence. I'm trying to hold back so that We can have a calm atmosphere for me to teach, but let's allow God do something for another 2 minutes. There is a fire that doesn't go out. The trigger is mercy. That mercy just insists, this one No matter how hard he tries, I will hold him from my right to the middle and to the left. I just— ushers, help them on their seat where they are. Let the fire that doesn't go out, the mercy that insists, let there be an unleashing upon this place now in the name of Jesus. Find Davids, find Deborahs, find Esthers. I don't care how dark where you are coming from is. I don't care, I don't care what the discouragement in your lineage is. I don't care how much your own life is even a discouragement men to yourself. But if I be a man of God, I stretch my hands towards you. Let the fire of the Holy Ghost that keeps men fresh, both in season and out of season, that will keep you fresh beyond your giftings, that will keep you fresh beyond your environment. Let the anointing of freshness break upon this house right now. Sit for a moment. Something is released already.

He didn't come for anyone else.

He came came for you. You are the reason why he came, and he shouldn't leave without you getting what he came for. He came to help you. He knew you couldn't do it by yourself. He came to set a tabernacle over your life, to establish you as his tabernacle. Cool forever. That's why he came, and you must receive it. Lift your hands where you sit and say, Lord, I receive. I receive your help and your mercy. I will not be another record of failure. I receive your help. Assist me with your fire.

You gave me hope. You made me whole at the cross. Oh, you took my place. You You showed me grace at the cross where you died for me. And his glory appears like the light from the sun. And his glory appears like a light from the sun, age to age. Thank you, Lord Jesus. The glory of the Lord is so strong here, and many of you will get back your anointings. By the power and the authority in the name of Jesus, let the anointing for your office come upon your head now. Take it now in the name of Jesus. Evangelists, crusaders, heralders of the good news, from place to place, from cities to cities. Let the fire for the miraculous that backs up that office receive it now. There are apostles amongst you, apostolic authority, those who should stand as arrowhead of moves in territories. I'm seeing a young man from BUK, Bayero University. A young man from BUK. There's an anointing for prayer. There's a prayer movement that has been born from your bowels. Father, I don't know this young man. Search him out by fire now. Search him out. Forgive yourself and let go. Your fire is back. The presence is back in the name of Jesus. Something very strange is happening. Um, as people begin to go back to their seats, I saw like on a rose, I saw angels hanging and dropping oil, droplet of oil, just droplet. Listen, listen, listen, go back to your seat praying in tongues. Something is happening. All right, there will be issues. Just help them. I told you there will be issues. Help them. There are people that get to certain points, you look at their life and you can't trace that there was once upon a time that oil came on this head. Let me show you how the devil attacks territories. What you see— you come, you come, both of you come— what you see is that you think the devil— the devil doesn't have a randomized attack. Every attack is strategic. Every attack. This is the reason why people— you look at certain territories and you wonder what's going on, because the devil knows those ones who smite the shepherd, the sheep will scatter. So there are different kinds of people here. There are those of you that your life— there are millions of destinies tied to you. Can't you see it? When will you stop thinking about you? Before you talk about a Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, there must be a Daniel who stood and ends the battle. Hence the reason why you keep crying, why is my flesh trying to betray me, is because the devil knows that if someone like you is allowed to go free, he's in trouble. Don't let people choke out your calling and talk you out of that place. You must fight for the expression of every river you carry. In the Garden of Eden, a river flowed that blew— that broke into different heads. It is one anointing, but there can be many manifestations, yet from the same life, yet from the same life. Don't be trapped. Don't be trapped. There are leaders of leaders amongst you, and I'm insisting. There is always the nation of Israel that God wants to set free, but there is a Moses. Moses thought that having walked away from the calling for 40 years, God should have moved on. 40 years later, God came and said, Moses, Are you still there? And he said, yes. It is not the nature of your church or the nature of your pastor that makes you fall. It's the nature of your heart. Judas had the best pastor, yet he fell. This guy rebelled from heaven. And the Bible said you were perfect till iniquity was found in your heart. It starts as a seed. It starts as a seed. I'm not based there, but I'm warning you, everywhere spiritual nourishment is flowing to you, the devil wants to break the umbilical cord. He wants to sow a seed of offense. Listen, when you become offended in your man of God, it doesn't stop becoming anointed because you're offended. It's still flowing grace. You are the one who can't receive. So you must guard your heart. You see, if you know that God has planted you in a spiritual family and there's something there for you, are you aware it is part of the relationship you must fight for? Ah, you must fight to make it work and never let pride enter your heart. If God is not telling you to go pioneer and you start, you will have to sponsor it with with your own anointing, because God will never back what he didn't call. He sets the solitary in families. You must pay attention to that. How many of us Christians pray for our pastors? How many of you have ever gone on your knees? Lord, this man has been a blessing to me. Protect him. And then I started thinking that the problem has never been Jesus all along. And I doubt if the problem really is the devil. The problem is the body of Christ. The same people who need mercy will not give it to those who need it. If you know anyone amongst you that has had public shame and public disgrace, maybe the person was even trending because of something of shame, and now God has renewed this person, will you identify with the person? We preach redemption, but we don't, we don't understand it. We talk about grace gracelessly. What God was simply saying is there are people I'm bringing back. And while they may look dirty and I will need you to wash them, they will call you names. As I'm speaking, I'm calling forth people's destiny here, cuz many of you will get your hands busy. We are in the days where we're going to see prostitutes break out in tongues. Receiving the Holy Ghost. We're in the days where we're going to see LGBTQ community break out in tongues, confessing Jesus, exposing the lies of the devil. But is the church ready for such conversion? No. We pray for harvest, but we are not ready for it. And I'm not talking about the church as a building, I'm talking about you. If someone confides in you, do you know I've aborted before? And now you see the person singing in church, say, you see, that's a sinner, and that's scared to call him Pot Black. We are the one who is restricting what God wants to do amongst us. They are free. Afraid that the love we get in Biapalo is more than what the church gives. They are afraid. If God gives you a spiritual son and he tells you that I want to use him for this, and somewhere along the line that boy impregnate a woman. And what more shall I say? For time will fail me to tell of Gideon— is there Gideon here?— of of Barak and of Samson. And you see that when the name of Samson was mentioned in the book of Hebrews 11, it was in the context of his dominion, not in the context of his mistake. He was referred to as a general. God taught me, he said, don't teach about Bible characters with judgmental spirit. Okay, let's leave it, because many of us will get to heaven and Samson will tell you that, did you know I was not a partaker of the spirit that have come to stay like you? If I had it, I won't fall. And they brought the information and said, that girl— who laid hands on that girl? Pastor Abraham. Was it you? It was you. Imagine, look at this one. The girl is discharged, free. I've seen God raise the dead at least 7 times. And I'm not saying it to look like a Superman. I'm telling you, if he did it before, he can do it again. And what I've learned about the miraculous is not by breaking your head on the floor. If he didn't, they didn't. They— but he's giving giving to us power to cast out unclean spirits. Sometimes a person is sick, but it's because a demon is behind it, a generational issue. Say, my mom had this, then I have it too. That's spiritual. Medicine will give it a name, but it's spiritual. I was in a teaching hospital one night, um, A&E ward, accident and emergency. Emergency. A woman was there that night in a critical condition. I saw the doctors were confused where every attempt to help her stabilize— ah, I sat and said, this woman will die. So I found my way, like I was doing something, I just passed and just touched her, be healed in the name of Jesus. So I just left because I would not be allowed to pray for her. It was critical. I look closely, the same woman they were struggling with just now. How Come. That's the power of God. You don't hold the sickness. It doesn't have the capacity to hold you.
