When Christians claim God told them something to justify any decision, they're making private revelations that aren't biblical. Real interpretation requires scripture to interpret scripture, mentorship, and the testimony of multiple witnesses, not personal hunches dressed up as divine guidance.
Chapters
One of the ways I know a Christian will fail is that for every decision they are making, they are saying God said, God said, God said, God said, God said. It's a prerequisite for failure. When you see people who are interpreting scriptures and for every scripture they're saying God showed me this, God said this to me, you see, listen what I'm saying. God said is not biblical interpretation. In Biblical Hermeneutics, you learn the principles of interpretation, of revelation, of inspiration. No scripture is of private interpretation. And you cannot establish a doctrine by saying the Holy Ghost showed me this. Na lie. You are living a lie. You must use scriptures to interpret scriptures. In the mouth of two or three witnesses, the truth will be established. I think I called somebody recently and I said, the only reason why I cannot help you in life is because for every wrong decision you are making, you say God said. Once you go meet a mentor and every bad decision you are making, you are saying God said, they cannot help you against what you think God said. And sometimes the God said is just a display of your stubbornness and rigidity. You didn't hear any God. Are you listening to me?
