Two speakers argue that policymakers and industry leaders are distracted by AI image and video tools while ignoring real dangers: deepfakes with no regulation, opaque data ownership, children's privacy risks, and job displacement. They warn that the current hype is drowning out urgent safety and ethical conversations.

I believe that those who are actually supposed to pay more attention to drive to say, hey, this is how it's going to harm us and this is what we should start doing, are busy just generating pictures and videos.
There's a pattern about AI, how much of a beauty it is. We must acknowledge that in terms of problem solving. There's also another pattern that the most optimistic person about AI are those at the lowest part of the pyramid. Who believe it's no threat.
Where do you stand? Truth about it is these talks are there, there are fears, but here's what I believe, that those who are actually supposed to pay more attention, to drive to say, hey, this is how it's going to harm us and this is what we should start doing, are busy just generating pictures and videos. Those that are supposed to pay attention to say, hey, in the next couple of years, these people we're producing from here might not have jobs. This is what we need to do now to prepare them if we want them to get jobs. They aren't also paying attention. So if we say, for example, let's think about deepfakes, who are those behind it? And a particular school of thought, we argue that guns don't kill people, that people kill people, especially in Africa. We need to even ask those in positions that are supposed to start having conversations to say, hey, come, what is this? What policies can we start now to say before this happens, this is what we need to do? The data you're putting in, where is it going to? Right. So everyone is excited. We're uploading pictures. Oh, it's free. It can do this. But you're not asking where is this data going to? Right. People are exposing their kids and most of them know nothing about identity theft. Right. And that is why somehow a couple of days ago I shared something on my socials and I said, that one of the, one of the important aspects of tech that is going to make a whole lot of money for people is what I call privacy tech. That a whole lot of people will begin to pay money to say, hey, how can you help me clean up my digital footprint?
Thank you. Yep, yep, yep, yep, right. So are you saying that digital footprint is going to be a major matter in coming years?
Yes, because ignorantly It's okay that you're 16 now and you're dancing naked on TikTok. You're gonna be 30 someday, right? It's okay for now that you want to show everything about your family, because that child is 3 years today. He's gonna be 18 someday, and he's going to find out that this is not the kind
