Hey, somebody can be in it so much that when the opportunity comes for you to make requests, you begin to ask for other things. Hey, when mercy is speaking, it teaches you how to pray. When mercy is speaking, you will be able to differentiate between your wants and need. I like to say that you have wants, different things that you, you think you need, but hey, hey, according to God, it might be your wants because it's only God that knows what you need. You might think that some things are your need in this season, but really it is God that truly knows what you need. The ability to differentiate between your wants and your needs is an expression of mercy. Now you can look at your life and say, oh, this is the thing I need, but you know, in this season, and God is saying, no, you don't need, you don't need what you're requesting for right now. What you need is that is your character to be better. What you need is that you should become, you know, an expression of my light. What I want you to come into is a deeper revelation of the word of God. Somebody is receiving light by the mercy of God this morning, in the name of Jesus. That a time came in your life that you gave your life to Christ, you received the light of life, the life of Christ. A time came in your life that you received the life of Christ. That is an expression of mercy. Hey, God was so merciful He sent his only begotten Son to die for you and I. I like to say that if you were the only one on earth, Jesus would still have died for you. That is an expression of mercy. So I need us this morning, Akoba, to intercede for all of your people, everybody connected to you that are yet to be saved. Maybe your siblings, your friends, your relative, your neighbor, your boss, As long as you know that they are not saved yet, I need you to pray that the mercy of God is extended to them in the name of Jesus. Jesus brings them to himself in the name of Jesus. Come on, intercede for these people, for some of it is your parents. You know they are still serving other gods. They will receive the life of Christ. In the name of Jesus. There's a second category of people that needs the life of Christ, that needs to receive the light of Christ. This category of people, they are churchgoers, they go to church. In fact, They are very steadfast in church. Hey, hey, they are called Christians because they go to church, but when you look into their life, there is no expression of the light of Christ. They are not living it. They just claim to be Christians, go to church, you know, you know, do everything that others are doing, but they are not truly born again. You know those category of people in your life. You know them, you know them. I need you to pray. Ah, koba. Declare mercy over this category of people, that in the name of Jesus they come fully into the expression of the light of Christ. In the name of Jesus, they experience Jesus on a deeper level. They become genuinely born again. They move from being a churchgoer into Being a child of God indeed. Come on, ask for mercy in the name of Jesus. I read from 2 Timothy chapter 3, verse 5. 2 Timothy chapter 3, verse 5. Let me just read about verse 5. It says, having a form of godliness but denying the power having a form of godliness but denying its power. Do you know that many people these days, you know, they claim to be Christians but they do not have the form of godliness? You look into their life and you wonder, there's no difference between you and a non-believer. Ah, I need somebody to pray for Mercy this morning, that you will not be that kind of Christian, that as you progress in your journey with Jesus, sir, you progress indeed The mercy of God uphold you. Eh, ka ba ba ba. You're not the kind of Christian that will have a form of godliness and deny the power that comes with it. Eh, you tarry in the name of Jesus. Somebody pray for mercy this morning. You've got to wake up. 2025 is not a year that you want to just be doing anyhow. You want to be dressing anyhow. You want to be talking anyhow. You want to live your life anyhow. You, when people get born again, you still see them in the light of their past. You are the one that will gossip. Gossip, you are gossiping. Do you know that one of the major ways by which the enemy steal, kill, and destroy in the life of Christian is gossip? And gossip is very cheap, it's very easy. Somebody comes to you to give you an information that was not verified side and you take it and you begin to talk. You remember that scene in there? What's the name of this movie? This, um, Mike Bamloye's movie, that train. And what's the title? No, not Abejoye, the one that does the train. You know that, that scene in the train where they were like, let us pray for Brother Mike, let's pray. And they were gossiping, they, they were there. And let's just pray for Brother Melo. Some of you are like that, you are always gossiping about other 2025, change your ways. Change. Somebody hurt you 25 years ago, you are still saying that you will never forgive them. Eh, Rakobaba. That thing will hinder your prayer because the scripture says that he who has refused to forgive, he will not hear your prayer. Yes, the scripture says that. It says, I will not hear your prayer. He won't hear your prayer. So let us cuckoo face these things very well, because you can be praying and you're saying you're not getting results. Eh, God is not answering my prayer. What are you doing wrong? What is that thing that the enemy is using against you? Some of you, you go online and abuse people, people you have never met in your life, people that when you see them face to face you cannot even look into their eyes. Or she had carried ring lights to speak against this fellow, and that's the person that has the anointing to break you through. This year, 2025, receive sense. It's not enough to pray. They've written so many things down, so many loaded rich things, rich words. But hey, they will never read it. They will never go back to it. God has given you the word, but you will not go back to your journal. You won't go back to it. You won't go back to it. You won't go back to always writing, always, you know, doing things, but never taking step, never taking action. Somebody is receiving mercy today. The scripture says the enemy comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy. And destruction is one of the major ways that he uses to make his intentions done. Oh yeah, Baba! Now gossip is when you are— you're having a conversation with somebody, unverified information about somebody else that destroys them, that, you know, destroys another person. Unverified information, something you don't know. When somebody comes to you, hey, have you heard? Have you? Oh, sorry, I've not heard that. I don't, I don't want to hear. I don't want to hear. I don't want to hear. Instead of gossiping, pray. Pray for the person. Pray, because gossip will cheat you. Gossip will steal from you. Don't gossip. 2025, decide that, hey, I will not be found on the the seat of discomfort. I will not be found the seat of discomfort. I will not be found there. I won't be found there. I won't be found there. I won't be found there. I won't be— this is a warning and the word of the Lord to somebody. I won't be found there in the name of Jesus. Be an intercessor. It's my wife that gossip is gossip, whether it's your husband or your wife. Sit up, discomfort. So some people are saying, but that's the time we born talking about people. That's the time, you know, that's things you don't know. You sit down, you and your husband, you mash people, you backstab, you cut them into pieces behind their back, cut them into pieces behind their back in the name of you're spending time together, you are bonding. Spend that time to pray. There's anything you feel or you can see in the life of other people, pray for them. You have the responsibility to pray for them. Gossip will not change anything. Don't think that, that prayer will— pray, prayer, prayer will, will do what you are meant to do for you. There are some things that, you know, God expects you to do. Prayer will help you to gain strength to do the right But prayer will not take over what you are meant to do. Somebody who is supposed to, you know, begin to live right, and you're saying that my prayer is covering for my bad behavior, you know, you know, I can live my life as long as I'm praying. I can live any— I can go to, you know, just do anything I'm doing, you know, my prayer. No, no. No, ungodliness and godliness can't work together. And this is not a year of saying, oh, that you will say, Mama's prayer got me going. You better pray for yourself because Mama hasn't even prayed for herself. This is not a time to say that, oh, somebody is praying for me. Somebody— or you are paying somebody money to be praying for you every month. You are sending salary to them for your— no, no, pray, pray for yourself, pray for yourself. Pray for yourself. Pray for yourself. Pray. Key your neck into prayer this year. Ah, ah, ah. When you see people praying, stay there and pray. Pray, pray, pray, pray. It is not, you know, it's not just— it is not casual that God said this year we should anchor ourselves to the altar of mercy. It's not casual. It's not casual. He says, stand— or start standing in the pathway of sinners. Some of you, all your friends are sinners. You say, I can follow them to club now. As long as I'm not drinking what they are drinking, I'm— I can— ah, it's just— but just, you know, getting along, you know, I can always be around them. Maybe they're just— I'm not— I'm not carrying the girls with them, you know, I'm just following them to the hotel. Ah, the devil you are playing with is not playing with you. That's how you will follow them, and then before you know what's happening, you're drunk. And because you— and I see when I talk like this, you know, it feels like I'm just joking, you know, I'm just— people are laughing, but the one that knows that it is a situation I'm talking about knows. You are at work, you're saying, I don't just want them to see me as prekoko person, I don't want them to, you know, just let me just do my job and be going. Meanwhile, the reason why God took you to that place of work is to win souls for him. But for you, all that matters to you is let me just collect my salary and go. Wake up, wake up! You are a Christian Monday to Saturday, no, no way. But Sunday morning you lift up holy hands, no. No, no, no, no, no. God has not called you to live a double life. God has called you to live a life of Christ. That is what you have been called to do. That is the kind of life that is expected of you. Don't live a double life.
