SUPERNATURAL SUNDAY SERVICE TORONTO || 11TH JANUARY 2026

The recording captures a live worship service at Light Nation Church in Toronto, led by Apostle Femi Lazarus and a team of worship leaders. The service opens with repetitive praise chants, followed by a lengthy sermon in which the speaker (identified as Speaker B) expresses personal fatigue with ritualistic, miracle‑focused Christianity, using the biblical story of the Pool of Bethesda as a metaphor for a faith that relies on occasional signs rather than sustained engagement with Scripture. He warns against false prophecy, deception, and the tendency to treat the church as a marketplace of miracles, urging believers to anchor themselves in the Word (citing John 6:63, Psalm 119, Matthew 11:28, Matthew 24). The sermon stresses the need for spiritual rest that comes from living under God’s principles, not merely emotional experiences. The speaker also addresses contemporary global turmoil, predicts increasing lawlessness, and calls listeners to personal repentance, altar calls, and deeper commitment. The latter part of the service includes announcements about the church’s vision, five covenants (life, ease, sure mercy, praise, favor), digital library, fasting programs, and invitations to join the community. The overall tone is passionate, urgent, and persuasive, aiming to re‑orient the congregation toward a Scripture‑centered, resilient faith.
Chapters
Blessed art thou, Son of David. Blessed art thou, root of Jesse. Blessed art thou, root of Jesse.
Come on, you know this song. Sing with us this morning.
Blessed Blessed art thou, Son of David! Blessed art thou, Root— Thou root of Jesse! Blessed art thou, Root of Jesse! Blessed art thou, Root of Jesse! Blessed art thou, blessed art thou, Son of David! Adonai Elohim! Blessed art thou, root of Jesse. Blessed art thou, root of Jesse. Blessed art thou, root of Jesse. You are imminently glorious. You are imminently glorious. Immaculate Virgin. All that I want is your heart, my Femi Lazarus. It is high then on this mountain to drink from your love. Oh Lord my God, oh my God, all that I want, all that I want is your love. My faith, my faith, my faith, it is my On this mountain, on this mountain, to drink from your love. Oh Lord, oh Lord, my God, all that I want, all that I want is to touch Sing my faith. It is not in sight, but in sound. All this mountain, it will shrink before us.
Sing yes, Lord. Yes, Lord.
Thank you, Lord.
Can we just lift our hands in a moment and just give him praise? Give him praise. Give him thanks. Oh, let's worship him. Let's magnify him. Let's adore him. Let's give him praise. Let's give him glory. He deserves all, all our praise.
Let's thank you.
Oh, thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord. We bless you, Lord. We thank you. Blessed be your holy name. In Jesus' mighty name, we are pray. Who is excited to be in church this morning? Are you sure? Come on, let's give Jesus a big, big hand. Wow, thank— amen, hallelujah. Um, good morning everybody. Um, I didn't know it to be this good.
Aya!
You know, there's a kind of cold that you say, ah, maybe they should open the gate of hell small so we can be warm if we get all right.
Amen.
Um, I'm excited to be here. I think after the commencement of Light Nation, this is my first time, so I'll get first-timers package.
It's working.
Amen. Wow, interesting. I want to really celebrate everyone here. That was a powerful administration. Let's fire up the team.
Wow, powerful.
Maybe God is going to give you a Nigeria, from South Africa to Nigeria.
Amen.
This morning I want to just air my frustration. So let me give you a breakdown, and everything I'm saying is very true. I think at some point last year Um, yeah, I just became tired of this routine, even as a pastor. So this is the first time probably I'll be here and say publicly, just became tired On Sunday morning, another service again, and on Tuesday, another service again, and maybe every morning, another prayer meeting again. So personally, I became tired. And even now I'm tired and I became restless. I started telling myself in all honesty, this can be it. And if you, in case you have that kind of feeling in your heart where you are just like discernment.
Tired?
You are not alone. I'm not joking with you. You're not alone. If you are not tired, I should be worried.
You are not concerned, I should be worried.
Sometimes the reason why some of my questions is that why do you find the highest level of depravity with the people you pray household has expired, and they were going to throw me out of the house.
But just at the last moment, my uncle sent ₦50,000, and he was able to bring my stepdad out to open his clothes. Hallelujah! And this one comes out again. I said I entered the broken and I made a phone calls, and at the last moment, the government is pushing me out. I saw some agents biting my I sat down as a pastor because some of these testimonies were sounding very good.
They are thanking God for the covenant of life in the house. The prayer of apostles is working.
I started asking myself a question. First time this one that is on leg and there's a When Adam fell, he became naked. Noah, 10,000 years ago, was stripped of the womb and naked. When he heard the voice of God, he wondered, what do you mean? God leaves and leaves women together? And he covered himself as a way for him to feel confident in approaching her.
That's been the But when Christ clothes you, he clothes you once and for all. And when he clothes you, he clothes you with his own righteousness forever. So you don't have to keep looking for man-made effort. And the reason why what I'm saying this morning is so important is that if we continue like this, we'll lose the next generation of Christians because we have more questions unanswered than the ones people all have access to. A Christianity that the existence of God— can you give me— reminds me of the story of the man at the Pool of Bethesda. You know the story? The man was at the Pool of Bethesda for many years, 38 years, 38 years. That's quite a long time. And think about it. Do you know what a 38-year-old man looks like? And it wasn't like there were no miracles at the pool. There were. But compared to the number of those that are sick, that dimension wasn't sustainable. More people were brought in. Bible said there lay great multitude of impotent folks, the halted, the lame. Multitude, the Bible called it. Look at it now, multitude. But every once in a while, some theologians believe once in a— the first person to met that guy at the pool of Bethesda, he said, do you want to be be made whole, the first thing he said is that I have no man. So it means those who are getting healed were not getting healed because they had speed to get in. People were assisting them to get in. So it became the miracle that is based on who you know. Now Jesus came and he had to abolish that because— and I tell you, the pool of Bethesda is a kind of church. It's a kind of church where the number of the people we have compared to the things God does It doesn't match. Every once in a while, one or two people comes out to tell stories and testimonies of what God has done, but compared to the real problem, if we go by that dimension, we'll have more problems than testimonies. It's not like God is not doing something. He is, but it's like it is after the stirring of the pool, then one person gets in and say, "Praise God," while this one is saying it, someone else is dying. And the danger of that is that sooner or later those who are smart will begin to have questions. But when Jesus came to the Pool of Bethesda, what did he do? You know, the easiest thing for Jesus to do was to stir the pool and say, jump in now. But he didn't do that, because holds a position, um, something, something about the nation. So she was going to reach me that they kidnapped someone on the a watch, and it was going to become a national issue if the matter should get out. So according to her, she sent me a text. I didn't see the text because I was busy, and she just said, well, this man has been teaching us the word. All I have to do is to speak God's word over this guy, confess it, and stand on the authority of scripture. And she did. By the time she did, I think 2 days later, the guy was released without collecting a dime from them. Now look at that. That's one of the most powerful testimonies I've received, because it could have put me in the seat of a demigod to say Apostle decreed once and the guy came out. How about the Christian who said, I stood on the word? And the reason why we might have more Frustrated Christians. Now, um, I've seen this happen a couple of times. Have you seen people that look so happy? It looks like everything is going on well for them. They are happy, they are social, their social media is buzzing, everything is good. And all of a sudden you heard that so-and-so person committed dead suicide. Have you seen that happen before? Let me see your hands up.
Okay.
Oh yes, I have seen people go to church, sing on Sunday, sing like no man's business, leave the church and ended their own life. So it means that people can be present but yet dying. People can be coming to church, they are still giving the, the motions, the performance, and the vibe, but on the account of many things that are not matching anymore, questions that are not answered, they are now beginning to doubt, is God real? And don't forget, a pastor can be asking about the existence of God and still preaching. Are you still there? So there is the, there is the pool of Bethesda experience. Oh, every once in a while God shows up amongst us, stares maybe out of 3,000 people. 5 have testimonies. How do I say this to you? Um, uh, can I trust you?
Yes, sir.
Huh?
Can I trust you?
Yes, sir.
When I say what I'm saying, drop mic and run away. Um, Sometimes the 5 compared to the 3,000 might be good for business. Um, yeah, there's something, um, um, the social conditioning There's social conditioning, there's societal conditioning, there's crowd engineering. If you have a child, there's crowd engineering. If you have a child, for instance, very simple illustration, you don't want that child to— what's her name again? God help me.
Come.
Come. This is my new friend. So let's say this is— what do you put wrap here? Okay, let's wrap it. So let's say this is my friend. What's her name again?
Huh?
Ogana. Yeah. So I don't want her to go near this pulpit, so I bring this doll— let's say this is a doll— close to the pulpit, then I beat the doll. And beat the door. I'm showing her what I will do to you if you go close to it. Without touching her, I'm rewiring her brain to not touch this because she has seen an example of what will be done. Um, many of us think this only happens to children, but it can happen to you as an adult. You are so impressionable. You are more impressionable than you can think. You can be influenced, and guess what? You can be deceived. I've been scammed before, so I know that the first rule when dealing with a deceiver is to know that you can be deceived. Rule number one: those who believe they can't be deceived are those that are easy to deceive, to be deceived.
Thank you.
Please, thank you. Let's give her a big hand. You can go back. So look at it.
Wow.
So let me show you a text. Um, turn your Bibles to the Book of John, chapter number 6. Can they project scriptures in they can, I'll be very glad. And if you can give those online volume— is it possible?
Okay.
John chapter number 6. I want to show you something. If you can, if you can get what I'm trying to show you Then John 6— let's read verse 63. John 6, verse 63.
Ah mama!
Okay, so we can read from there now but that's verse 1. Can they project verse 63? If you have your Bible, can we read verse 63 together? One, two, three, go! It is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing. The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are what? Life. Can we read that together again? 1, 2, 3, go. The spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing. The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are what?
Life.
Now look at this now as an illustration. I'm gonna get back to what I'm showing you. So imagine we have great number of people, um, laying down and expecting, God, come and save us. Um, God, come and open doors for my business. Um, God, come and deliver me from generational curses. God, come and rescue my husband. Come and rescue my wife, my mother-in-law, um, and all that. All waiting by the pool, and it's one pool. And then once there's a stirring, one or two, one jump in, another one jump in, and then we have one or two testimonies. There are miracles. Miracles are proofs that God exists. Actually, it is his intervention in the natural order of things. There are miracles, but there is no word. So they—
but the Bible said their minds were still veiled. Miracles cannot replace the word. They saw all those things, they saw God move, did amazing things. Some were bitten by snakes.
Nobody had antivenom to give them. Just by raising up a rod, you see that now, they looked onto it as a symbol of when the Son of God will be lifted up, and they were healed.
In fact, the Bible spoke about them. He suffered no one to do them harm.
He reproved kings for their sake, saying, touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm. They experienced all that. You know, in the wilderness there will be pillar of fire, literal fire at night, pillar of fire. Hey, imagine that fire just come down here, will you wait? I don't think I'll wait either, I tell you.
Fire.
By day there is the pillar of cloud reaching there into heavens.
But all those things didn't convert them despite the fact that they were seeing the act of God. At any little provocation, they doubted the very existence of God because he revealed his acts to them but his ways to Moses. And when God wants to reveal his ways to you, it is the ways of God that establishes a Christian, not his act. The event at the pool of Bethesda does not make you a better Christian. It is his word that makes you so. That word is what becomes a life in your spirit. A person can be raised from the dead and get up from the dead, live, die again, and go to hell. But when you see a person who has found that life— and one of the reasons, because the way I started, I told you, I started becoming worried and weary about the kind of Christianity that we want to practice. And I tell you, the one that many people like the most is the Pool of Bethesda Christianity. You know why? It doesn't involve you. You don't have to study, you don't have to pray, you just have to say amen and receive. And that's, that's why we have problems everywhere, that you can tell a Christian, go and pack sand from your father's house. Go and pack sand, and the person will fly from Toronto to Nigeria. Hey, Akali, to go and pack sand and say, Professor, a man of God. Now, as I'm looking at you, it's like you have a problem. Say, who doesn't have problem? It takes a lazy Christian to foil a fake prophet. The reason why there are liars and charlatans everywhere is because we have refused to engage God on a personal level. How many Christians really have the affinity to sit with the word for 1 hour? Okay, let's— we are not even talking about— because you know, this year you, you have started again because you, you, you said that this year, by the grace of God, I will read my Bible more this here. I know you said that when you said, I'm going to— some of you didn't even say that one is worse. That's that one. We should find that person and say, go and stay in the snow for like 50 minutes.
But we just don't like it because look at it.
When Jesus said to the man, pick your bed and go, you have to receive that word in your spirit. It involves faith. We like it when God has done everything, all you have to just do is just to take it, you know. Because the wilderness, there was manna every day, but it doesn't change the fact that it's the wilderness. The moment they entered the Promised Land, manna ceased, because now you've got to work. Now you've got to work. You look at a Christian and say, oh, as I touch, as I touch Apostle's clothes, all my problem just vanish. If, if that's how it is, me I should not have problem. Me I have problem. You know, we, we like those kind of miracles, like as I, as As I came and I saw where Apostle sat down, I sat down there and before you know it, everything I was feeling just disappeared. You know me, I used drugs recently. I was not feeling too fine like that. I won't deceive you. You understand what I'm saying? One time I was sick, I was in the hospital. And I was on drip. I was shivering and fighting for my life. Someone called me, Apostle, please, sir, I'm not feeling fine. I believe if you can speak a word into my life, I'll be healed. Oh God, even me now. I prayed for the person and the fellow got healed because the anointing upon is for the crowd, but what is within is for my own consumption. The river of living water flows to the people, the well is what I drink from. If I have what flows to the people and don't have it on my inside, What people are healed from can kill me. That's why Paul said, I put myself under, lest having preached to others, I myself should become a what?
Castaway.
And the reason why I'm trying to show you this is because the, the camping around the steering of the pool will produce atheist. And it begins with intellectual questions. And yes, you should have intellectual questions. I mean, I don't know, maybe because of my background, when someone tells me they get healed, they got healed from a meeting, I just want to see medical report. I don't want to hear that you die after 2 weeks and the church is now covering and verifiable true reports. And I want to tell you this, guys, where the world is going now, a kind of Christianity where there is no word in our spirit. Do you know what discouragement means? Do you, do you Do you know what abandonment means? Do you, do you know, do you know what pain means? Do you know what it means that every word of prophecy that has been spoken over a person, the event happening in the person's life is now contrary to those words? Do you know what it looks like when we are exposed to contrary wind?
If we are not with the assumptions that everything is all right, everything is not fine. Everything is not fine.
Maybe I said, I'm all right. Now time is going, and there is a guy now, you ask him, are you a Christian? He said, I worship the universe. Say, say, I believe in the universe. And here you are, a tongue-speaking, real spirit coco sister. Now this is a guy who is universal in his worship. You know, it takes some anchoring to look at that, and despite the fact that time is not on your side, and say this is not it. Man, that takes some nerve. That's why Abraham was called the father of faith, that even when his body became contrary to the word spoken, their bodies were already dead. See, let me explain. The problem with Abraham's case is not that the the fact that he was struggling to believe God for himself. Because, I mean, he tested it. You remember, she said, "Ega." He did it once, guys. Sharp. Got it done. So it was— he was cool. But the issue is that he was believing God for the wife that was biologically incapable of doing that anymore. Think about that. She stopped ovulating for over 40 years, and when the word came and said, by this time next year your wife will be with a child, you know what she did?
She laughed.
She said, these people are just very, very funny. There's a way all these pastors just prophesy where you give them honorarium.
Just go.
And that didn't change the world. Hold on a minute, think about that. What happened anatomically? She started ovulating again. Yes, yes, the body started producing eggs again. Abraham was ready again. In fact, if you read that Genesis 18, you will see that the reason why she laughed, said, how can my husband, now that he's old, have pleasure in me? Meaning that they've stopped touching each other. Now they were just at the— it is not the waiting phase, this is the giving up phase. Like, okay, that's it, this is how we're going to die. And yet the The word came and revived everything. You know, at the Pool of Bethesda, there's no word, no word, just miracles. And any miracle you receive without the word of God, you know what it will be? It will be a once-in-a-lifetime kind of event. You can't repeat it again. If you find yourself in that situation again, there's no word to stand on and say, God, just the same way you did yesterday, what you said, you can do it again. Now you're like, it happened, but I don't know it happened.
So you start, you start gambling with your faith, and that's what is happening. Many of us are gamblers with our faith. Oh yes, it happened, you know, when that, that thing— but I don't know how it happened. That's why the word comes to give gives your life a form. It's the word. It's the word. The words that I speak to you, they are spirits, but not just spirits, because another word is that they are spiritual. They are alive.
That is, that word is a life form. It doesn't matter what your nature is, what is dying on your inside, the word can enter.
It will give you life.
You've seen that story, the event in the Valley of Dry Bones.
The word of God came to Eli—
to Ezekiel and took him to the Valley of Dry Bones, full of bones.
The bones were very dry and very many. Death. It was a place of death. What did the Lord say to him?
First question. 'Can these bones live? Can they live?' He looked at the bones and— if it was dead body, Maybe I will have an answer. If the head is still on the shoulder and everything is still there, maybe it will have been quite easy to answer. At least biblical record, the longest duration of death that was reversed in the Bible was 4 days, and that's Lazarus. But this one is not just dead, decayed, Scattered abroad. You don't even know which bone belongs to which body. Messed up. There's nothing to even revive. Where's the heart? Where's the lungs? Where are the kidneys? Where are the nerves? What's there? This is not even cadaver. This is skeleton. So 'What are you saying?' Thank God he didn't say no. He said, 'But God, you know.' What did he say? He said, 'Speak.' Anywhere the word can go, life will follow, guys. Anywhere, life will follow. And that's the secret. That's the a secret. My concern is the kind of Christianity where there's no word. What's the proof that you have a tomorrow? If we begin to investigate this simple question, you'll see that we are just as hopeful as unbelievers. I just know, yeah, that my tomorrow is all right. What scripture are you anchored on? Because we have to be anchored. What's keeping you from falling? What scripture are you standing on? What has the Lord said that you are holding on to? What has he said about your children? What has he said about your wife? What has he said about your family? What has he said about your future? What has he said about your health? For those who are singles, what has he said about your future partner? Does he have a say in all those things?
Does it matter to him? What are you standing on? A wise man built his house upon the rock. He must be anchored on the rock.
Because the danger of not being anchored is that we are going to pursue everything in life just like everyone else. And I have seen this happen again and again. Christians are as frustrated as the world, many times even more.
Many times even what?
More, more frustrated. It looks like, ah, ah, yeah, yeah, it looks like there's no, there's no wisdom in God's word as touching what to do. An average Christian is confused, confused with many questions he can ask, and you begin to look at it. Is it like, is it like Christianity is anti-impact, anti-development? What's going on that once we are Christians, even when we are impactful and intelligent, we talk in our intelligence and start manifesting religion?
Even when we are smart people that can do amazing things to change the world, we reduce every impact we can have all over the world and reduce it to the pulpit.
Because they are wondering, if I do this, will God be happy with me? And people have been called to ministry, but me, what I have to do is not really ministry. But will it change lives? Will it improve people's lives? Will it advance the cause of God's activity on earth? Then what's your definition of ministry? Because you might have reduced ministry to preaching. I run several organizations, and maybe just 30% of them are church-related.
Someone—
and for some people, it's like you were even more impactful as a non-believer till you became a Christian, and then, um, you know Many Christians don't even invest. Like, will God be happy? You go suffer. Interpret it. Let your neighbour hear. Tell your neighbour. Because why is it like that? We are not hearing the clear words of God, we are hearing echoes. And once it is an echo, it is distorted. There is no clear wisdom for accurate navigation. I began to ask the questions, and let me tell you before I show I'll show you the questions. Sometimes one of the best ways to destroy your life is to live by prophecies that you have no confirmations for. Every time somebody is saying, God said, God said. So a girl, a sister was going to get married to a guy that she like. I'm going to tell you two stories. To a guy that she liked. And Femi Lazarus say, "Not me." So she took the guy's name to the mom. The mom said, "No, maori kari, maori kari. It's not this one, it's another one," and prophesied her out and gave her a new spouse. House prophetically because the guy has been asking her out too, but she felt that there was no connection and she saw it. But you know, you just have to obey prophecies. So the guy, they got married, the guy got her pregnant and left and never came back, not even once, till after she gave birth. Then when she gave birth, he came to the hospital, saw her there, and then she was angry. They were arguing. He slapped her and was trying to beat her right there. And yes, true life story. In the process, he even hit the baby. Then the baby passed out. Then the guy disappeared again and went for— but that's, that's the prophet said is the husband. Let me tell you another story. This one, a friend of mine shared the story, and in this case, his own dad was the prophet. A guy was going to go marry, get married, and took several names. You see all this nonsense. And among those names was somebody he didn't even like, but only God know knows why he put the name there. So he put the woman's name— sorry, the girl's name there. According to him, the girl was like, um, about 10 times his size. There's nothing wrong with being plus, um, but it was not just— she was not just his kind. So they say that's the person that God has chosen for you. More like God kills joy, you know. And he married the woman. Femi became honest with himself that I have zero attraction towards this person. I never touched that woman at all for over 9 years. He couldn't even stand the sight of her. But don't say the Spirit of the Lord that that's your role. Why? Because we can't pray. We can't pray by ourselves. We brought, we imported straight the idea of consulting the oracles. We just brought into Christianity. We consult God like an oracle. More like, you know, you don't even have to think once. That's it, that's it. And many lives have been destroyed because they refuse to stand on God's word. Standing on prophecy that you have no confirmation for is not God's word, it's lies. Prophecy is not the primary way God wants to lead a Christian.
It is his word in your spirit.
Imagine I just come through, Pastor Kolade, I just say, touch, touch the Lord. By the spirit of the Lord, you should move back to Nigeria. Just say that they've kidnapped him. I just off my phone. Without that word, we can't navigate the dark times. There's no anchor. I can show you several scriptures. Let me show you a few scriptures. Psalm 119. Psalms 119. Is your own Psalms up to 119? Oh, good. Let's read together. We're going to read several texts here. Psalms 119, let's read verse 11. Psalms 119, verse 11. If you're there, say amen. Read it together 2 times. 1, 2, 3, go. Again, your word have I hidden in my heart that I may not sin. Now go to Psalms 119:33. 119:33. 119:33. 1, 2, 3, go. The way of your statutes and I will I shall keep it until the end. Give me understanding and I shall keep thy law, and I shall observe it with my whole heart. Make me to go in the path of your commandment, for therein do I what?
Delight.
Let's jump again, um, that same Psalm 119. Um, let's go to verse 99. If you're there, say amen. Okay, let's start from verse 98. Psalm 119, verse 98. 1, 2, 3, go. Thou through thy commandment have made me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me. Verse 99, I have more understanding than all my teachers, for thy testimonies are my meditation. Verse 100, I understand more than the ancient because I keep your word. Are you seeing that the mechanism through which God wants to do all these things is his word? Sometimes we feel that a man of God who is simply teaching is not anointed. What's our definition of a powerful meeting? That chairs scattered. But there's no transformation. That's our definition, that the wind blew. What word are you living with now?
Nothing.
No illumination. And because there's no word in our spirit to guide us, there's no accurate understanding, we do guesswork. We guess through life. We guess through everything, and we are afraid, we are scared. Many of us are scared. In fact, anywhere you see pride, actually what you're seeing is fear. A proud man is proud because he's afraid. He's afraid that he might be ignored, so he has to sink it in by claiming he's what he's not. Anywhere you see insecurity, what you're actually seen is fear. The righteous will be as bold as a lion. So there's fear. What does the future hold now? What's gonna happen to me in another 10 years? So I have to try and do all these things and do this one because, you know, now that I—
there's no navigation.
We have not come to experience that rest that is in God. There's a rest that He gives. There's a rest. Let me show you a scripture. If there's anyone who has been living life through fear, you're coming out today. Let's read Matthew 11:28. Matthew 11:28. Matthew 11:28. If you're there, say amen. Popular scripture. Can we read together? 1, 2, 3, go. Come unto me, all ye who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you what?
Rest.
Somebody say after me, say rest. Say it again, say rest. Now what is rest? Whatever this rest is, is not sleep. That must be the kind of rest that God had when he finished, you know, on the seventh day he rested. This is the kind of rest. What is rest? Let me give you an instance. Forgive my illustration. Is that okay? Do you mind? I have to give you— I just have to give you this illustration. When we're driving down, De was driving, and we're gonna take a turn, and I was worried that you're taking this turn with so much confidence because where I came from a car can come one way. So I say, "Eh, I'm mobbing o, sorry o." So you drive on your own lane but anticipating another person's foolishness.
So you—
but I noticed that here, you people, once you are on your own lane, even when a trailer is driving beside you, just drive.
Wow, like the trailer driver can't even feel.
Who is this? Wow, so you're at rest. Rest is what you have when a principle is in charge. When principles are in charge, you have rest. And that's the principle of God's word. You know the reason why God rested because you not— you will not have to call him for plants to grow. You not have to call him for rain to fall. You not have to call him for seasons to change. You not have to call him for a new weather to come. You not have to call him for this. He has placed principles in charge of everything. That's why he rested. If the principle of God's word manages your life, you rest. That's what it means. You rest. You're not afraid of sleeping at night and someone will come and press you in your sleep. What nonsense! Because you know who you are. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. So he makes his angels spirit and his ministers flames of fire. I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid of the arrows by night, pestilence during the day, thousands who fall by my right and tens of thousands by my left hand. No evil shall come because the word of God dwells in me richly. He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High, ah, shall abide under the shadows of the Almighty. His word is in charge. The name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous run therein and they are safe. Oh, surely there is no divination against Israel, neither is there enchantment. I can, I can rest on that word and rest. Why, why are you aware that you live long? Because he said, with long life I will not give you, satisfy you. That's what he said. You know what that means? It means you are good to go when you are done. It's a matter of satisfaction. How do I know that my life will be colorful? There's a principle in charge. He said when you honor your father and your mother, he said your day will be long. Not your life will be long, your day. Your day is the brightest part of your life. You have the night, you have the day. It means the most colorful aspect of your life will be the longest. Even at night, you are still in the day. Do you understand that? Come, all ye that labor.
All of you are carrying loads.
Fear. What if in another 2 years? What if it doesn't happen? What if this Can we have that scripture in Message translation? What if nobody sees me?
What if? What if?
What if? Rest. Rest is not foolishness. It's being anchored.
Oh boy.
Do they have Message translation? Do you have it? Okay, please project it. All right, can we read this together? Are you tired, worn out, burned out on religion? So are you seeing what I started with now? Religion burns out. Just repeating rhetorics, the same thing again and again, you get tired. And you should be tired of religion. Say, come to me, get away with me, and you will recover your life. I will show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me. Watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythm of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you will learn to live freely and lightly. Now nobody can manipulate you and toss you to and fro, you know, like Hebrews— sorry, Ephesians 4 talks about those who are tossed to and fro. Ephesians 4, turn your Bibles there, and I'm going to close there. I'm just going to pray for you. Ephesians 4. Oh, praise God! Let's read Ephesians 4:14. Ephesians 4:14. Oh, thank you, Lord Jesus. Blessed are thou, Son of David. Blessed are thou, fruit of Jesse. Can you raise your hand where you are? Blessed are thou, Son of David. Sta ke sole miya. Blessed art thou, root of Jesse. You are, you are eminently glorious, immaculately beautiful. I can go on and on On and on, but my words are not enough. My vocabulary is too filthy. Permit me to cry out, Iba ho, Iba ho.
Yeah.
Ibaro, Ibaro, Ibaro, Ibaro. Let's take this again. You are heavenly glorious, immaculately beautiful. I can go on and on, on and on, but my words are not enough. My vocabulary is the Femi Lazarus that leads me to cry.
Iba o, Iba o. Oh, thank you, Lord Jesus.
Amen. When you get to that point where your life is being directed by the word, you are not tossed here and there. How did the Israelites get into slavery? They went to look for food. Why did they go to look for food? Because Joseph, who made the food available, had been sold. So originally it was their thing, it was their commonwealth. They were the Abrahamic seed. Egypt was only powerful because the seed of Abraham is there. If you know what you have, if you know who you are, you will not beg, you will just occupy. And that's what the devil does. He uses adversity to change our impressions about ourselves and begin to paint it like all that exists in your life is just that problem. But it's not true. Is it true? You've been existing before the problem came, and it only came to pass to go. Look at it. Ephesians 4:14: That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine. By trickery, trickery of men, in cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting.
We're not—
what, what's the opposite of not being tossed to and fro?
To be established, to be strong, to be firmly rooted, that you are planted in the word. That's what it means.
One time someone called me and said to me, hey Apostle, please pray, please pray. And this person, well, I used to believe is a prophet until that day. And she said, ah, pray against death.
And you know, I'm not—
you also receive something from someone you trust is prophetic, you'll be afraid.
Ah, pray against death is as good as saying you may die.
And as I dropped the phone, God said I didn't send him. Said he needs money. In less than 10 minutes, he called back and said, please, there's something I want to do now.
Ewo.
So you use that fear to arrange me so you can now collect money. I said, I don't have. He gave that prophecy maybe 9 years ago. We stay there, established and rooted in the word. That's your only safety. And I wrap up with this scripture, Matthew 24. If you're there, say amen. All right. Matthew chapter number 24, we'll start the reading from verse 11, verse 11 and 12, and we jump to verse 23. But let me read verse 11. It says, and many false prophets shall arise and shall deceive many. And because iniquity will abound, that's lawlessness, the love of many shall what? Wachs cold. Verse 13: And he that endureth, endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Verse 23— unless, verse 22, sorry: And except those days be shortened, there should no flesh be saved. For the elect's sake that those days be shortened. There are days coming upon us, and I want to tell you again Jesus is coming back soon, and he's not just coming back to Nigeria or Africa. The whole world will see. And the Bible said that those who even nailed him to the cross will marvel. But before that day comes, the Bible described the days of darkness that will visit the face of the earth across all nations. Nations will be distressed everywhere. The distress they see in Congo, in Uganda, in Cameroon, in Nigeria, in Venezuela, in Botswana, in Eswatini, everywhere. All nations have their own cup of tea. They're protesting Iran, protesting in Israel, and killing themselves in America. Ice is shooting someone everywhere you turn to. There is the news. You leave Nigeria, come to Toronto. A few days ago, I saw in the news a black man was stabbed at the train station.
Everywhere.
And because there's going to be so much distress, the heart of many will fail them. They start asking questions. Many will fall out of the faith. Many will go back and say this whole idea of God is a fiction. When those days come, which has already started, will you stand? Lawlessness will be everywhere.
Violence.
The things that used to be sacrilegious will become open theater, what they're doing publicly. Now you can see an average movie, you can even see two men kissing themselves. It's no longer hidden. I mean, that's no news for you here. It's what you see every time at the bus station you drive. I'm disappointed. The day it will be the number one trend that rapture has taken place, don't be here to read it. Make sure you are gone witnessing. I'm going to start a series soon titled I'm Tired of Christianity, just a conversation as an atheist to prove is this Bible really real or is it a lie, is it fiction. And many things are proven in the Bible to be established reality, historical facts that are proven. So if the past can be proven that much thus far, And many of things he said about the future has happened down to the details. You can believe the ones you have not seen. If the Bible says that Jesus is coming back, he will. And if you feel they've said that for over 2,000 years, he's not come, your own Jesus has come the day you die. Now you also don't know that time too. I want to beg you, Live for God. Now that you have the opportunity, serve him, honor him with your life, preach the gospel. You were saved to save others in your own little way. Whatever it is you can do to propagate the kingdom, do it. Stop burying your talent, don't bury your gift. Um, we should not be wary of the guarding of brethren. Peter described the devil coming as a wounded lion looking for whom he may devour. Lions devour the wounded, but much more they go for the isolated. So God said the solitary in families, but the rebellious dwell in dry land. Find yourself a Bible-believing church where you can be taught and settle down and grow and be a blessing.
Amen.
This morning I want to call an altar call. And we are not going to close our eyes because when Jesus died, the world, they closed their eyes. If you know that you are here and you need to give your life to Christ, or yes, you are born again, yes, nobody can doubt that, but you yourself know that you need to rededicate your life to You are not getting born again again. You are saying, now I'm taking a walk out to be very serious in walking and living for Him. I want you to come out in the next 1 minute.
Come out.
Let me pray with you. If you are the reason why God has sent me here, then that's more than enough miracle. And I beg you, don't hide it. Don't, don't, don't, no, no, no, no. Don't hide it. Please come, please come, please come. Thank you, thank you. If there's still one or two more who is seated there and there's a conviction in your heart, you know this is your day, this train should not move without you being in it, please come, please come, please come, I beg you. Thank you. Give them big hands, I beseech you, by the mercies of the Lord. Please come, please come. Is there anyone else that needs to be here and that thing is convicting in your hearts and saying this is your day? You know this meeting was a setup for you specifically. I beg you, come now. Is there no one else making that decision today? And saying, Jesus, I live for you.
Anyone?
If there's— if he's convicting you now, please come, please come, please come. Thank you, Lord. Those of you who are here, I'm so happy for you. A big congratulations to you. The greatest miracle ever is not the raising of the dead, but conversion from death row. To being among the living. That when he took us who were dead in the trespass of our sin and then gave us his own life, that's the greatest miracle ever in the history of humanity. So place your right hand on your chest, and even if you've said it at one point or the other before, say it again. Lord Jesus, I believe that you came into this world to die for my sins. I believe that you died for my sins. I also believe that you rose on the third day for my justification. Today I confess you as my Lord, and I accept this gift of eternal life. In Jesus' name, amen. Father, I want to thank you. Can I have someone just help me stand behind them? I want to thank you for your hand so strong upon them, for what you're doing. I ask that there will be fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit upon you and will empower you to stand even in these last days and to live for him in the name of Jesus. That the hand of God rest upon you in the name of Jesus. Freshness of his grace in Jesus' mighty name. Oh, hallelujah! Let's give Jesus a big hand.
Ah.
Is there counseling? Okay, where are they following? Please, I beg you, do you mind I get your contacts so you can be able to reach you, please, and follow you? All right, please follow her. Thank you. Let's give them a big hand. Um, I've passed my time. I'm so sorry. The rest of us, can we please stand? Um, if there's anyone here who is trusting God for the fruit of the womb, when next I'm here you are carrying your testimonies. If there are those who have come to the season where they are ready to settle down, Father, I decree by your power, bring bone to bone. If there are people here that doors seems to have been shut against, let the doors be open now. Let the power of the Lord back up these words and effect them in your lives. I decree and declare, when next I see you Your walk with God will be deeper and stronger. You will have testimonies beyond human understanding. In fact, you'll have won souls more than you've ever won all your life. This is the year your Christianity and your Christian walk will have meaning. Father, I open the doors of this city to your children. You will not struggle to get anything done. The grace of God works with you in Jesus' mighty name. What a great honor to be with you this morning. I can't wait to be back.
God bless you.
Let us celebrate God. Let us celebrate Apostle.
We have been blessed.
If you have received the word in your spirit, let us celebrate God again. Right now I want us to stretch forth our hands towards him and I want us to pray. We have been blessed, we have been watered, we have been ministered unto. I want us to ask that Holy Spirit minister to your son and servant in the name of Jesus. Bless him with all heavenly blessings. I want you to pray from your heart. If today you have been blessed by the ministry of our Global Lead Pastor, I want you to pray for him from your heart. Thank you, Father. In Jesus' name we have prayed.
Amen.
Let us be seated quickly. We have few announcements that I would like to run to every one of us. Again, I want to, I want to welcome each and every one of us to Light Nation Church Toronto. Are you excited to be here? Our vision is to raise kingdom-minded culture shapers and global leaders who influence every sphere of life with kingdom principles. And again, this ministry, the Light Nation Church Global, is being led by our global lead pastor, Apostle Femi Lazarus, and Pastor Miracle Femi Lazarus, whose leadership has inspired a generation to pursue purpose, purity, and impact. And God has made 5 covenants with us. The first one is the covenant of life. When we practice soul winning, nothing dies in our hand. The second one is the covenant of ease. When we practice first fruit sacrifice, we do not struggle to get anything done anywhere and at any time. The third one is covenant of sure mercy. When we practice service in God's house, we experience the sure mercies of David. The fourth one is covenant of praise. When we practice praise and thanksgiving, We won't cease to have a reason to offer praise and thanksgiving. And the fifth one that God has just given us is the covenant of favor. Favor surrounds us like a shield.
Hallelujah!
If you are worshiping with us for the very first time at Life Nation Church Toronto, we'd like to welcome you. Can you please stand? Can you please stand? Let us celebrate them. Please, we have a QR code on the screen. Can we please have the QR code? Please scan it and please do us a favor by filling it so that we can have your details and we get back to you. It's going to be on the screen. How many of us are blessed by the— we may be seated. Thank you, everyone. How many of us are blessed by the word again today? If you know you are blessed, so we have a digital library. If you go to If you are using either iPhone or Android, if you go to your Play Store where you download the app, you will see Femi Lazarus Digital Library. You can also scan this QR code. I want to encourage you, if you don't have this on your phone, can we do that in 30 seconds? Just take a picture or scan the QR code. Download it, create an account, and start listening to more powerful, inspiring messages just like the one you just heard this morning. And currently we are having a 14-day prayer and fasting. That has been horned. Some of us have finished.
Hallelujah!
Some of us are halfway. So we have 3 stages: 7 days of dry fast, 10 days of fruit fast, and 14 days of 6 AM to 6 PM, and you break with your hamburger, with whatever you want to break with. If you are not part of this, we are finishing this week. I want to encourage you to join us. You will be blessed in Jesus' name. And I want to use this medium to also remind each and every one of us of PPC, Prophetic Prayer Contact. It's also— we have a social media page now which I will encourage us to follow. And currently we are having 10 Days of Trumpets. From Mondays to Friday, the 5th of January to 16th of January. It's been amazing, impactful, and I want to encourage you to connect with it. If you want to watch it live, it's 12 midnight. Yes, you can wake up for 1 hour and connect. We are blessed in Jesus' name. As we round up the service this morning, before we do that, before we read our affirmations, I want you to rise on your feet and declare God's word over your life again. You have heard the word. That is what we live by. What word do you have in your spirit? In 30 seconds, I want you to speak over yourself and declare the word of the Lord. The Bible says, while others are saying there is a casting down, you shall say there is a lifting up. I am blessed in the city, I'm blessed in the field. Declare God's word over your life, declare God's word over yourself. I dwell in the secret place of the Most High, I abide under the I will say unto the Lord, you are my refuge and my strength. I will lift my eyes unto the hills from whence comes my help. My help comes from the Lord, who alone has made the heaven and the earth. Thank you, Father. We give you praise. Let us worship him. Let us bless his name.
You deserve the glory and the honor.
Lord, we lift our hands in worship as we praise your holy name.
You deserve the glory And the honor. Lord, we lift our hands in worship as we praise your holy name, for you are great. You do miracles so great, there is no one else like you. There is no one else like you, for you are great. You do miracles so great. There is no one else like you. There is no one else Hallelujah!
There's no one else like Jesus. Amen! You know, I'd like you to do something for me this morning, even though Apostle left already. But come on, say with me, "Thank you, Jesus." Can we also say, "Thank you, Apostle"? We love you, Apostle, and there's nothing you can do about it. I want us to repeat that. Let's just say it. What's their response? Are they responding? Okay, now we are ready. I can see that in all our faces. Okay, so can we all go together at the same time? So 1, 2, go! We are Light Nation, an atmosphere of God's influence. We love effortlessly, we sacrifice selflessly, and pray earnestly. Are you seeing it? Okay, praise God. Let's say it again. We are Light Nation, an atmosphere of God's influence. We love effortlessly, we sacrifice selflessly, and pray earnestly. We are a people of great faith, strong vision, excellent spirit, We are the epicenter of God's praise upon the earth. We have a lifestyle that is consistent with the authority of scriptures. We believe when the Lord said to us that we are a city in every city. This is the house of pruning, forging, and making of giants. The shout of a king is among us, and we say we rejoice always. Can we rejoice? Come on, put your hands together for Jesus!
Amen!
And we would also like to invite you to worship with us again, uh, next Sunday. Our service starts at 10:00 AM. Thank you all for coming. God bless you all.
