THE GLORY OF GOD CONFERENCE || LAGOS 2024

The recording captures a high‑energy worship and prophetic teaching session led by Apostle Femi Lazarus at the Glory of God Conference in Lagos. The gathering opens with repeated invocations of the Holy Ghost, urging believers to pray for divine wisdom and to expect answers. The speaker moves into a biblical exposition centered on Genesis 32, contrasting Jacob’s human scheming with his divine encounter when he wrestles with an angel, illustrating the shift from self‑reliance to God‑granted blessing and the transformation from Jacob to Israel. This theme of "brokenness" is repeatedly presented as the prerequisite for experiencing God’s glory, with references to Psalm 51 (a broken spirit as acceptable sacrifice), Psalm 42 (the thirsty deer), Matthew 5 (the Beatitudes), and the Abrahamic covenant (Genesis 17). Throughout, the speaker calls for prophetic activation, apostolic commissioning, and collective worship, urging participants to lay down their own methods, surrender to the Holy Spirit, and anticipate a revival that will reach nations. The session blends ecstatic worship chants, prophetic declarations, personal testimonies, and instructional exhortations, culminating in a plea for participants to be "alone with God" and to receive a fresh identity and power.

In Jesus' mighty name we have worshiped. Let that amen roar like thunder. I believe you want to do far better than that. God bless you. You may please be seated for a moment. Please turn your Bibles to the book of Genesis chapter number 32. Genesis chapter number 32. I want to teach you a very important protocol even as we delve into this meeting. Now Genesis 22 is the story of reunion between Jacob and Esau after several years of deception. You know the story. Before the children were born, prophecies went ahead that the elder will serve the younger, and for For some reasons, the father decided to change the course of God's ordination about their lives. Somehow Isaac preferred to give the blessing to Esau, and the mother preferred to go through tricky means to get take the blessing back to the rightful owner that God had ordained. Now you can find all that in the book of Genesis chapter number 27.
And for 30 years—
so what you're seeing in Genesis 32 is 30 years After the event of Genesis chapter number 27, finally, having served 14 years for women and 6 years for cattle, Jacob and Esau were finally meeting. Final showdown. The rightful owner of the blessing and the one who sold his birthright. And you know the story. When they finally met, Jacob had divided all that he had with his human own efforts and strategies, which was what he had been doing all his life. The mother dressed him, they acted some drama and put the skin of an animal on him to come receive the blessing. And yet again in Genesis 32, he was still acting. He divided his band into two and he told Jacob wants Seth to go gather some gifts, gave it to Esau. Esau said, no, the Lord has blessed me also. And this is where I take my topic from. Finally, in Genesis 32:24, the Bible gave an amazing remark, something that had not been said about Jacob since he was born. And finally, the Bible says, and Jacob was left alone. Finally, after 30 years of human effort, 30 years of scheming, 30 years of fruitless labor, 30 years of race without grace, 30 years of doing it without seeking God. For the first time, finally. It is my very sincere hope that tonight will be a night of Jacob. Maybe your amen is crawling. That finally God will catch someone tonight. That finally somebody will come to the end of himself. I'm going to be teaching briefly on the topic titled Alone with God. And in Genesis 24— um, 32:24, and Jacob was left alone, and there wrestled a man. Now that word was used figuratively because who he was wrestling with was an angel. There wrestled wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. What was playing out in his experience is the sum total of what the life of Jacob had looked like. His life had been full of struggles, human attempt, human calculations. Human permutations. He's been trying, and in one night and in one experience, his life was summed up in a restroom. It is my sincere prayer that when you get into fight like this, you won't win. You won't win God, but he will win you. It will conquer you on time. It will conquer your appetite on time. It will conquer your will on time. It will conquer your desires on time. Irassu. And in verse 25, And when he saw that he prevailed not against him— that is, the angel saw that he prevailed not against Jacob— he touched the hollow of his thigh. Now, one of the questions you want to ask of many parts of his body that could be touched. Why the tie? Because that's what was intact that made him feel he had speed. He was about to be launched into a space of his life that speed will no longer be a matter of long leg, but the one who has conquered you. He touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint as he wrestled him. And he said, let me go, for the day breaketh. And Jacob replied, I will not let you go except you bless me. If you have taken the the blessing 30 years before, he would not be asking for the blessing again. And in blessing him, verse 27— you know, the Bible is so intact, and let me tell you why. If you read Genesis 27, it was also in verse 27. That he received the pseudo blessing. 30 years after, same verse 27, and he asked him a question, and the question is simple. And he said unto him, what is your name? And he said, what? Jacob. The last time you went on with human methods, human schemings, human abilities, he was dressed and masqueraded and presented as Esau. But the Most High, who dwells in the heavens and rules over the affairs of men, him prepared the blessing for he saw. 30 years after, he looked at him. 30 years ago, you failed a simple question. 30 years after, I will ask you the same question. What's your name? And he looked at him, said, I'm Jacob.
I'm Jacob.
And what could have been done 30 years before was now done. Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel. That didn't happen in the midst of noise. That happened when he was broken. The best spiritual state you can be in is a broken own state. But you don't have to wait for life to get your bones out of joint. Let God do it himself. Let God disjoint it. Let him take away your advantage and give you ease. Let him take away what is giving you confidence and give you himself. In the book of Genesis chapter number 17, I want to show you certain principles. I need you to pay attention. There is little God can make out of a man who has not come to the end of himself. As I sat down, I perceived in my spirit that there are men here still running the race of Jacob. But tonight Jacob must meet with God and Israel must emerge. I didn't hear that amen enough. Jacob must meet with God and Israel must emerge.
Born.
The Olu of Jacob's thigh must be out of joint. Let me show you a scripture before we read Genesis 17. Let's read Matthew chapter number 5. I want the media to be quick with scriptures on the screen. Verse 3, we read King James, then we read Message translation. Matthew chapter number 5, very popular That scripture, turn your Bibles there. By the time I'm done teaching you the simple subject I'm teaching you, the glory of God is going to hit this place. Listen, in a very, very strange way, so pay attention. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for what theirs is, what? The kingdom of heaven. Can you give me this in Message quickly? Oh, thank you, Lord.
Very—
let me read from my Bible. Matthew chapter number 5. Verse 3, Message Translation: You are blessed when you are at the end of your rope, for with less of you, there is more of God and of his rules. Something happens whenever he succeeds to bring a man to the end of himself. That's the crux of worship. That's— you see, you cannot truly understand what brokenness is as much as long as you are full of yourself. You cannot— you, you can't— you can't know the glory. The glory of God doesn't rest on living It comes where there's death to self, that we are dead to ourselves, to our methods, to our strategies, to our understanding, to our wisdom, and you are alive to God. Let me give you an example. There are believers that wonder, why can't other Christians worship without crying? And some feel they are just being emotional. That's not emotions, that's death to self. There are things you may never stand as long as you are full of yourself. Glory in itself is called kabod. That's one of the words that translates glory. It's a weight. It is something that can only be carried by those who have emptied themselves out. The glory of God comes upon men when they are empty of themselves. Let me show you a scripture. Genesis chapter number 17. We start the reading from verse 1. Genesis 17 from verse 1. Let's read this together. 1, 2, 3, go! And when When Abraham was 90 years old and 9, the Lord appeared to him and said unto him, I am the Almighty God, walk before me and be thou— How old was he? How old was he? God waited. God, to the age, no longer had any strength to impregnate any housewife.
Girl.
There are dimension you will never see as long as you can replace what he comes to do. Wait, you see, God can't be mocked. This, this lifestyle is a lifestyle of death. I come to a point in my heart, in realization, that every option I have outside God is a waste of time. I have no strength of my own. I have no wisdom of my own. I have tried it. I have failed. I know what failure tastes like. I know the smell of shame. I know the smell of fruitless effort that comes with human smartness. And it's, it's a rope tonight that God is throwing to you, that maybe even if for 5 minutes in the midst of the crowd, I will have you to myself.
Himself.
That maybe that your song will not be louder than your ability to hear his voice saying, 'This is the way, walk in it.' Maybe, maybe you will no longer try to window dress and cover up the fact that God has been looking for your attention.
Maybe.
Maybe the strength of Israel will be able to corner you tonight and finally say the things he's always wanted to say. Maybe, maybe someone will get to a point in worship and say, I'm done, I'm done trying. You manly. Let me teach you something about brokenness. One time I was teaching in a primary school and they reported a girl. I met the teachers discussing a girl, and the girl was so notorious. She had the habit of eating ascoofies. A primary school student, she will eat her school fees, steal from the grandma without remorse. And they said it doesn't matter who deals with her, she will never cry. I said, is that so? Bring her to me, let's have a word. So I sat sat her down and taught her about Christ, made her realize the implication of the life she has chosen. It got to a point in the place of talking to her, for the first time she broke down in tears and she began to cry and she She said, 'I won't do it again.' So I said, 'Fantastic.' I led her to Christ. Then as she was about to go, I said, 'Ah, we are not done. We've done the spiritual one. Let's seal it up. I will give you 3 strokes of the cane. Just as a seal, a token that something took place tonight, um, that morning. And that was the last time she stole. Brokenness is whatever happens for God to reach your heart finally. Finally, the distance between your head and your heart is like the distance between the earth and eternity. It's too wide. You may say what you don't know. You may confess him whom you have not met. Brokenness is when it finally gets to the core of your heart. Whatever it whatever process, whatever method, whether loss, pain, or grief that finally gets you to the point of bended knees, that's the blessing. And sometimes we go through situations that we keep asking, God, where are you? And his response is, I'm just trying to get to you. And sometimes we go through untold pain, starvation, confusion, uncertainty, questions in our heart. And he's saying, you are right where I need you to be, whatever it is, however it takes to finally get you to say yes, Lord. It's a blessing. The year that Uzziah Isaiah saw the Lord. There are losses that finally takes away the veil. There are pain. Some of you have gotten into relationships that you have defined the guy as the object of God's love. Isaac must die for nations to be born. When we put anything in the seat of God, they must die. He will never give us anything that replaces himself. He will put you in a situation where your heart is contrite. Look at what the psalmist says in Psalms 42. Many of the things that we cry about and regret about, they are the things that brings us to the point of glory. Our scars, pain, injuries, they are the things that shows us the need for a savior that is perfect. You won't mourn them, but they will point you to God tonight. I didn't hear amen to that. For those of us who have come to a point where we know that we have no family sufficient enough to help, unless God shows up, we're in trouble. When you get to that point, that's when you see him as he is. Psalms 42, from verse 1: As the deer pant after the water Brooks. So, so thirsty. Have you gotten to a point where you are thirsty like you want to die? Have you gotten to the point where if God doesn't show up, you know you are finished? It is our options that has blinded us from seeing his glory. We have too many layers of the flesh, too many layers of promises, too many layers of abilities that looks like God. But when we get to the point that as the deer thirst for the brooks of water— the deer knows it is endangered and needs water to conceal the smell from predators. As the deer pants for the brooks of water, so pant my soul call after you. You saw what the Message Bible says. He said, I want to drink God alive. Many don't pray because they have their own sufficiency. When you come to the end of yourself, you will see the need for prayer. When you come to the end of yourself, you will break like a child, like a child, like a child. Many of us are carrying pain, bitterness, strife, confusions. We have formed layers upon our souls that though we sing and we shout, but we are still not accessible. It will reach you tonight. You will come to the end of yourself tonight. Finally, the part of you that is too hard for God to to reach will be out of the way. The veil will roll out, that when you raise your hands to heaven from tonight, it will be heart to heart, it will be spirit to spirit. You will no longer be in his presence and yet lost. The veils will tear and you will see him as he is. Finally, in the place of prayer, you will be alone with with God tonight. Moses cried in Exodus chapter number 32 and 33. He said, I won't go further unless you have revealed yourself. Show me your glory. In Exodus 24, God had already called Moses, called Aaron, called Nadab, called Abihu, called the 70 elders of Israel. And the Bible said, in those days they They saw God and he did not kill them, and they ate in his presence. And at the end of Exodus 27, God told Moses, come up higher. And he ascended in the clouds of the mountain and was swallowed there for another 40 days. It was after that encounter he said, show me your glory, reveal yourself. Have you gotten to that point where you know you can't step in feet out unless it clouds you over. The power of yesterday is not sufficient for today. The glory of yesterday is not sufficient for today. You need renewal.
You get to that point of hunger, you can't hold it anymore. I've gone to places, and, and that's the testimony of my life. I don't care about who hears my message. I don't care about who is blessed by them, that I will daily carry the manifest presence.
That's my hunger. I've gone to places as first-timer and wear short knicker and wear cap and disguise. Let me be able to get to a place and be blessed. And I will see pastors interviewing me, break down in tears and say, who are you? Just a child carrying his glory that will become baby's puppet, puppet, one that can be tossed to and fro, that you will not be stiff in his hands. Your testimony will be the daily carried.
We have too many noise, have too many noise breakers.
If you carry the glory, you can't hide it. Everywhere you get to, it will spread everywhere. When you step your feet in the place, it is the kingdom come.
But the weight of that is determined by the work, the work it does in our heart. That's where it is, that's where the power is, and that's where the battle is, the work. That's where the veil is. That's what he wants to remove, that they will take away the veil. That's where the work is done. Our heart—
you guard your heart with all diligence. From out of it flows the issues of life. That the day Abraham will lead Isaac. For Isaac to die in his heart, then God can finally be enthroned there, and Isaac will become a nation. There are Isaacs that need to die tonight, that, that heart— you become like a child. There is going to be deep healing. There's going to be depth of healing. It will excavate evade the things you have seen that have bedded corruption. The strength of Israel will pull them aside, and you will become a vessel, as a conduit pipe of his glory to a generation. When you show up, it will be a mark of, this is my son in whom I am well pleased. Listen I want to teach you. Sometimes people ask, while I was watching from the hotel room and I was watching Abey sing and I was laughing, just say, I wish the people understand that this kind is not by knowledge of music, but it's they that do know their God that shall be strong and shall do exploit. Let me show you a scripture. Psalms, Psalms chapter number 51. Are you tired of me tonight? Are you sure? Sorry, I disappoint a lot. I'm not a fast talker. Psalm 51, verse 16. I want to show you the secret and I want to teach you. Are you ready to learn? All right. The media, do you also have message, or I should not expect Do they have? Okay, ask them. Let's read this together. 1, 2, 3, go. For thou desirest not sacrifice, else would I give it. Thou delightest not in what? Burnt offering. Yes. Verse 17, quickly together. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a tried heart. Oh God, thou will not— Do you know what happens on sacrifice? When they offer sacrifice in the era of types and shadows, and the sacrifice is one that is pleasing to God, the fire descends and consumes it.
That was what happened when Elijah called down fire. Fire came.
Femi Lazarus.
And consume it. It means when we understand the power of brokenness, you will not have to beg for fire. It will come. And fire is not in how you sound, so you don't have to copy anyone. You just wield it. There was the story of a young lady I heard. She was not a preacher, but they took note of her that any meeting they bring her into, that's when miracles begin to happen. That's a heart that the fire has rested upon. Do you have Message translation? Psalms 51. If you have Project, let me read from here. It says, going through the most emotions doesn't please you. A flawless performance is nothing to you. He said, I learned God worship when my pride was shattered. Art shattered lives ready for love. Don't for a moment escape God's notice. When you carry that heart— listen to what I'm saying— you are going to get into something called love affair with God. That is, you will have experiences that you fall into trouble for sharing, because it's a love matter. You will begin to see that the supernatural is real, that we have come to Mount Zion, that we have come to the enormous innumerable council of angels. That's when you discover that you boast about encounters because they are few. You get to a point where there are things that are unlawful for you to say because God has brought you into the place of love affair. Yield aside all the troubles, all the sorrows, all the pain, all the anxiety, all the confusions, all the what-ifs and what-dats. And lift your hands to God tonight. Lift your hands to him. And from your heart, spirit to spirit, offer incense of worship. And let me tell I tell you how.
You are gonna be like a child, like a baby, like a fool, one who has no comeliness of himself. You will be absolutely nothing. Just yield yourself to him in worship, giving him the space and the permission to speak and to invade and do pleases that you will hold nothing back when you say take control, but rather you have come naked in his atmosphere.
That's worship, that he will invade me through and through and invade my anxiety, my worries, my pain, melt them out. When you get to a point like this, you get to the holies of Holy of Holies, there are no lamps there, for the light of that place is the light of God's presence. You will not have to bring your lamp made with human oils and human vessels. His glory shines as you get to the Holy of Holies.
And when his light shines, it begins to terminate certain things. It begins to highlight, forgive this person, forgive that person. It begins to highlight, you will no longer speak like this, you will no longer talk like that. It begins to highlight, this belongs to me, yield to me. You can't get that with your own light, but when he brings his light, you see.
That's where we truly see. Lift your hands to him. I'm teaching you now, and don't look at me. Fix your gaze on him. Peradventure you will be alone. See, let me tell you something. It's going to invade your emotions. It's going to invade your will. Some of you are going to shake like leaves. He's going to break into your space and break new oil upon your your life. Finally, that which you have tried to engineer in the energy of the flesh, you're coming to a place where they freely flow. Raise the sound of the keyboard for me and just fix your gaze on him and let your heart rest on him. Lift your hands where you are and say, Jesus, I yield. I yield it to you. I yield it to you. The glory of the Lord is here and his presence is here.
Just— you have come to that place where it is his light that shines.
You have come to the place of innumerable company of angels. You have come to the place where the glory freely flows. You have come to the place where he invade without noise.
And he's breaking into your space, breaking into every crevice, every hollow, entering every nook and cranny, bringing his thoughts, his counsel, his precepts, his wisdom, telling you, this is the way, walk in it. And for some tonight, you will no longer have to wear the coat of Esau. You will answer for the for the first time. I am Jacob. And the Lord will speak yet again. Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel. You will not look like another son to enter into my inheritance. I bring you my love and my counsel. You break to that place. You come to that place of his glory and his power. You will no longer have to fake it. You will no longer have to attempt. You will carry his glory, for this is who you are. Your very design is to carry his glory. Your very design is to be loved and carried into his presence. Your very design is to be engulfed in his power. You will not have to fake it. But like a child, like a child, like a child, you will be in his presence. Lift your hands to him and let your heart be open. Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. Jesus, thou Son of David, Reveal yourself. I have heard of you with the hearing of my ears, but the days have come that I might see you. I want to see you, Lord. I want to know you deeper than words. I want to know you deeper than songs. I want to know you deeper than what is written. I want to experience you. The days have come. I've opened my heart to see you as you are, to experience you, to know your embrace and your love. Fix your gaze on him and let him love you. Let him wrap his hands around you, that you will no longer come into his presence with a sense of condemnation. You will no longer come into his presence with a sense of rejection, but you will know you have been accepted in the beloved, and you will bask in the glory of your Father. For the Spirit and the Bride says come. For the Spirit and the bride says come. For the Spirit and the bride says come. If you will kneel, kneel. If you will stand, stand. If you will sit, sit. Just touch him tonight. Let tonight be that Tonight, Daddy will sleep as he is. Let the weight of your glory cover us. Let the light of your river flow. Let the truth of your presence reign in us. Let the weight of your glory fall. Let the weight of your glory fall. Let the weight of your glory fall. Let the weight of your glory fall. Let the weight of your glory fall. Let The way of your glory. All the way of your glory. Let's love upon him.
And let him reveal himself to you. Let him reveal his glory. Let him, let him, let him reveal it. Let him reveal it.
Your glory. Let the weight of your glory, let the weight of your glory fall. Let the weight of your glory Amen.
Can you please stand? I have just a minute to be out of here. Will you please stand? Except for those who are under the anointing, but the rest, if you can stand, stand. I have a covenant with the Lord. And everywhere I bring his counsel, I will pray for those who have been called to prophetic offices, whether to my right, middle, or left, whether prophetic minstrels, seers, Speaker: Of the ordinances of God, as long as you carry that dimension, I command an activation now, now, now.
Let the grace of the Lord that bring men into that operation be opened up to you tonight. That from today you begin to see, you begin to hear, you begin to know, you begin to speak as oracles of the Lord, telling his glory to the ends of the earth. You will no longer be shallow, not anymore. Grace, grace, grace is released. And I pray also for those who are called to apostolic offices, even as we approach the coming of Jesus, that the dimension of authority that backs up that of prayer, even as I speak, will touch them wherever they are. Touch them now! Let grace be released and strength be released to burn till the end of your reign. We bless you, Lord, because you are God.
Thank you, Lord.
My father, my father is here, is here. My father, my father is here.
My God, my God, what am I In here.
In the spirit. And I behold in the spirit, and I saw like aprons dropping, like handkerchiefs dropping. I don't know what you have dealt with tonight, but in this couple of minutes that is left, whatever you have dropped as weights, there is another weight of glory coming upon you. I know you have released your heart, my God. What am I saying here? But I see fragrance coming from above, and I see like aprons dropping. When I said take it, all that I needed to say is Jesus. That's all that you need. Someone stepping into the prophetic in a higher dimension. What you have seen before is about to explode. When I said take it, you will shout Jesus! My Father is here! My Father is here! I came up of— When I said take it, you will shout Jesus! The Hebrews are here. The Hebrews are here.
