You see, we must be careful to make sure as believers us that when it comes to thanking God, we are thanking him, and that is what we are doing. We must not show God that our request is more important to us than giving him the glory that is due to his name.

This is the secret of answered prayers.

So when it comes to thanking God, we thank God. When it comes to praising God God, we praise God. When it comes to making requests, we make requests. Is that okay? Now, out of us or out of them shall proceed what? Thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry.

The Bible said it will multiply us, will not be few, it will glorify us, will not be small.

Praise God, we thank God again. Now hold on a minute, I hope you are aware that sleeping and waking up is a miracle. It is. When you close your eyes and sleep, um, the next moment you open your eyes, it may look like— it may look like a minute in terms of brevity, but a lot of things can happen within that season.

Um, people can sleep and their heart stop beating, and that's it. You see that? So while you may be smart during the day, in quote, right now to drive You are smart, you know how to be careful about your own driving. Um, I was sick. We agreed you are not going to laugh, right? Yes, sir. Yes, I was sick. You laugh, you are about to go to hell. I was sick and, um, somebody in my hostel who didn't really like me brought a suggestion. He said he's sick and he's throwing up.

He said if he drinks— there's this thing they call, um, Calypso.

He said he will be fine, that that thing works. I said I'm not doing— because the following day they were eating and drinking palm wine. They said, come on, I said I'm not drinking. So the guy said I should drink Calypso. I drank the Calypso. He said He doesn't think the Calypso will be enough. I should drink some Ogugu also. You don't know what that means. I drank everything.

So the whole thing didn't get better. You see that now? You see the way you are laughing?

You're on your way, you don't know where you're going. So I drank everything and, um, I said I need to go. I'm not fine. I'm not fine. I can't cope like this. That's how on my way home, inside the bus, I started feeling like throwing up. I didn't know that they were all smelling oguguru in my mouth as I was talking. So they were waiting for me, that who is this nonsense boy that will get drunk early in the morning? The moment I said, please, if you park, I can't cope, I want to throw up, I'm not fine— as they parked, they just flung my bag at me and drove off and left me in the the middle of the road. When I called my hostel people, see what has happened to me, they began to laugh and say, you see your life, you say you be pastor, you no get discernment. Now you can laugh and go to hell.

I'm the number one.

So that's how they started laughing and say, see your life. So you didn't even know that this is what is going to happen to you.

You see that? And I just thank God for health. Thank God for health.

Um, there's nothing beautiful about sickness. There's nothing beautiful about it. And that's why we pray for the sick every time.

Um, this morning's PPC, um, is prayer, but it's going to be certain information that will keep you very strong, and you will stand the test of time. Is that okay? Now look at it. 1 Samuel chapter number 17. 1 Samuel 17.

Um, you know the story.

That's where the Philistines gathered together to battle against the Israelites, and Goliath, the champion of the Philistines, um, began to make certain noise for several days, and he was cursing the God of Israel, and he said See, let any man come out, anyone that killed me, then this, the fellow, the Philistines will be your servant. Now they were so sure of Goliath's ability and his prowess when it comes to battles that they could stake the entire nation while they push him out to come out. Are you seeing that now? Now I want to show you something. In 1 Samuel chapter number, um, 17, let me start the reading from, um, verse, um, from verse 24. The Bible said, and all the men of Israel— and sorry— and all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him and were so afraid. And the men of Israel said, have you seen this man that come up surely to defy Israel is come up— I'm sorry, if Israel is come up, and it shall be that the man who kills him, the king will enrich him with great riches and give him his daughter and make his father's house, um, free in Israel, and so on and so forth. Um, let me jump early a bit to where David was asking particularly, who is this uncircumcised Philistine times. The rest saw a man of war. They saw a very tall man that nobody could defeat. But David saw a loophole. Number one, he saw a man without circumcision. He saw a man that did not belong to the Commonwealth of Israel. David saw that a man who has no code of covenant is a man who is vulnerable. And David could exploit that loophole, and he came against him in the name of the Lord God of Israel. Israel's army, whom Goliath has what? Defiled. Are you seeing? So I defied— sorry. So he saw that, that a man who is without any covenant backing, it doesn't matter how initially successful the man is, is at the mercy of one crisis. May I announce to you that if you're a child of God, born-again Christian, all right, it is also very important that there are covenant covenant that seal your life. You must understand what consecration is for what aspect of your life. We don't live life like the blind. This is one very important thing believers need to know. Are you following what I'm saying here? That this is what I do now. There are many voices. Hmm, God help me. Somebody might be in a season where there are many voices. You are— you are— God has positioned in a place where different forms of attacks, not in the physical, in the spirit. The devil is not hiding his intention as touching how he wants to afflict you with one aspect of your life. You know scriptures, yes, but it's now also important that that aspect is by a covenant practice that God has given you to. What is the covenant practice that guarantees length of days? What is the covenant practice that guarantees health and flourishing? What is the covenant practice that guarantees abundance? Covenants are seals of realities.

Are you following what I'm saying here?

Covenants are what? Seals of reality. If you look at Psalms chapter 89, you see that what God was saying about David David was not just something he has decided to do. It was on the base of his covenant of sure mercies with David. He said, I've made this covenant with you. The question is, what did David do? At what point did God make the covenant with him? At what point did David step into the point where God said, my sure mercies will I not take away from you? See, many of you as believers, you do many amazing things, sacrifices, but the issue is that you do them deaf. I know you love God, but it's also important to hear what he said he will do because of what you have done. Yes, there are times that you are not planning to actually strike a covenant, you are not even seeking on that behalf, but here you are, you have made a decision, this, this, just because you love God, and God is now saying, because you have done this, I the Lord will do this. It was not enough that Abraham will not kill Isaac and will want to kill Isaac, and God said don't kill him. It is also important to hear when God now say, now I know that you fear me. It is important while you do the things you do. What are the— there are mothers that are in churches in the village They sweep, they do all those things, clean the chairs. And while they are doing that, God is saying, I will take away sweat and misery from your children in the city. The children in the city might think they are smart, but this is God rewarding somebody who is working in the bank because of what a mother who is in the village is doing. Are you seeing that now?

Everybody, I want you to get up on your feet this morning.

I want you to, um, there is a way I need to pray this prayer. Father, show me the covenant secrets that ensures functionality in different aspects of my life. Now see, hold on, please hold on. You must understand that mature Christians don't always ask, give me, give me, give me. No. Is that okay now? It's not happy. No, no, no, no. This, these things I'm showing you, they are the secrets. Show me the covenant backup. That what are the covenant practices that will guarantee and secure several aspects of my life? Um, when you pray that prayer, I will share something with you. Pray it for a minute, quickly. Pray it for a minute. Please pray like your life depends on it. Show me, show me the covenant secret. Show me the— what is the practice that guarantees this aspect? What is the practice?

In the name of Jesus. What are the covenant practices?

Father, reveal what, what must I do? In Jesus' name we're praying.

Maybe somebody said, by the grace of God, I'm a man who pays attention to doctrine. Somebody's saying, um, what's— what covenant talking about that is bigger than the covenant of the blood of Jesus on the cross? So let me explain. What Jesus did on the cross makes certain things available legally. Legally in the sense that you have, um, 100 million naira in your account. It is legally yours, but you can have that money in your account and at the same time in person you are broke because you don't have what to withdraw with. Are you seeing that now? So practices of consecration is what makes what is legal vital. Now it is in my account, I have it there credited to me. Oh, he has blessed me with all that pertains to life and God. Please, before we begin to see all these things, are you aware that there are people who are also blessed with all that pertains to life and godliness but can die young? Don't, don't excuse the fact that you don't know. I mean, come on. Are you aware that there are believers right now, they don't know—

the thought of death is so much, they can't tell anything can happen?

Are you aware there is a way the devil can afflict a person's mind that we can have cancer? You can have cancer. Cancer. You can have cancer, and, um, God says get into this practice. Now you get into that practice, God said, I guarantee you— maybe God can say, begin to intercede for one of my servants. You do that for a year, 2 years, God sees the obedience. He said, from today I speak as God, anything may happen, but nothing called cancer will be in your body. Practices, they are revealed. We are too loud in this generation to hear God. They are revealed. Are you following what I'm saying here? They are revealed. God, God just shows you a secret. Do this. Anybody can shout about anything, but it is your life. It is your life. Maybe somebody is running a real estate company. God said, these are my, my tenets of consecration for you. Number 1, don't take loan. Number 2, this, this, this. In everywhere you build your real estate, this is this: open a church. I have group of women in this country, very powerful women. I love them with my life. I was just checking them this morning before coming up for PPC, and I saw that they are embarking on project— I don't know how many churches— to renovate certain number of churches across the nation.

I mean, these are women who fear God. They are multi-millionaires. But people will think it is business strategy.

There is business strategy, but there is also the spiritual thing that guarantees certain backup of angels.

Many don't know this secret, and we—

this is the reason why God must raise some of us in this generation who are like Ezekiel, that the Bible said I will make your face strong against their face, that will tell people regardless of what they think they want to say. There are covenant practices. Many believers are living a naked life. They are exposed. There's nothing— there's, there's, there's no security around their life. I told you, I had Bishop Oyedepo making boast and saying things things and say, if you hear I die now, you don't cry, wake up myself. I say, who says that? Who says that? I listen to the— over— what is the secret of this man? I'm a man that when I decide to search something, I will give myself no sleep till I find it. Stayed awake at night searching. My God, show me what, what has this man seen? Because you can't— if you repeat what a man is saying without seeing what he's seen, you are just an echo, not a voice. He will escape the tribulation, you'll be in it too. So I knew myself I was not going to just repeat things. And finally I saw— I remember being awake, it was around 6 past 5 that day, and I was done, like, okay, I'll continue during the day. Then I just saw one last video pop up, and I saw him him going to visit one of his friends' wife, that the friend that just died. Ah, I linked the dots. This is it. This is a man given to covenant relationships, whether dead or alive. I remembered when Archbishop Benson Idahosa died, this was the same man that was able to carry the university staff for a while. This is the covenant. He understands it. You cannot outsmart covenant practices.

What is the practice God has revealed to you as a Christian that keeps an aspect of your life secured? It must be revealed. You must know something. As you— are you aware you need to know something? There must be a secret, a secret practice.

The same way you see Coke and Pepsi, they have their different secret ingredients. And they will never reveal. You cannot just be an high flyer without having a secret. There must be a secret. You want to fly high? This world is full of wickedness.

They will pluck you down. There must be— oh, you must know something. No, it is a very wicked world.

In a world that people can come and meet you. You see, the church is not even the place where we see the greatest confrontation. You want to see the greatest confrontation? Go to the marketplace. In church, almost everybody is born again. In the marketplace, they don't know God. You are, you are, you are trying to get a contract. Who are you to get that contract? Do you know the politician that's been getting that contract over the years? Yes, you think you want to come out and get the contact. They will call your name once in your sleep, one time. The person will not wake up again.

See how people die like birds. You are not doing charm.

You are also not hot in Christ.

How will they not kill you? You cannot carry sacrifice and at the same time you don't have any consecration.

You are just stubborn. I tell you, people die with their stubborn head.

Somebody's trying to contest for a position, you have powerful forces. Those who, those who are people sitting in shrines making incantations daily, casting spells, casting spells. You say you run real estate company, you are in a city, there are real estate owners who are releasing spells, taking charge of the territory. If you will not do the negative, do the divine. Time. When they wake up to carry calabash of sacrifice in the middle of the night, call upon the name of the Lord. Have people praying for you. I've said it before, there are airlines in this country that have prayer warriors interceding as the, as the plane is flying. Airlines, they can watch you on Twitter, curse pastors and say all this, but they know, they know where the power is coming from. They know this is beyond technical know-how.

Are you aware there are other airlines that need certain airlines grounded And the only way they can do that is to sabotage the system.

And that's where we enter all the time.

But for intercessors— Rakopa, Lanteke, Paya, Elemokaya— are you aware there are certain age you get, you can never survive without intercessors? Oh, let me leave that. Maybe you are not even ready for this. What is the backup? All the noise you make. You see, let me tell you something. Number one, It is said that the loudest in the room is the weakest in the room. You must understand that the real people who are powerful, they never join people to make noise on social media. Now, like, because they know the secret. It takes somebody who is not where he needs what is called covering to look at a pastor here, Deboye, and call him a fool. When you get to where it is, you will know that there are principalities also in the land, that at least their hand must come on your head one No, when you get to where fear is, you will be afraid. There are certain heights you fly that you need what is called the covering of priesthood. When you get to those heights, you will now value men who have paid the price, who can release the word over your life, and you are covered. It is because you are not there, that's why those men have no value. Those who know them know them. That's why they can go to their house like Nicodemus in the night, say, I'm about to contest for the governorship of this. Sir, I don't do charm, I don't do ritual, but you can speak over your servant. Are you following what I'm saying here? Are you following what I'm saying here? Lift your hands, everyone. Say, Father, show me what I must do. Give me the wisdom of consecration.

Reveal something to me, Lord. God help me! Help me!

Where the devil is going with this generation, the devil wants to strip this generation naked and make this generation vulnerable to attack. Let me say this to you, in more recent days you will see me being canceled and attacked again and again. Don't pity me, somebody must pay a price for a generation. You will see it. We will have to confront the bullseye and say these things. Wait, what the devil!

They will react, but we will not stop.

The devil is trying to— and what he wants to do is to send a bolt of fear in the heart of younger ministers coming and saying, no, don't let them do like this. I mean, let me tell you, we might be— we might have— we might not actively be in the era where they were boiling people and roasting them alive. If what we are in is that they roast us on media and curse us names. We embrace it with the same way they embrace that one. We must, because we must help a generation align.

How do you think you can fly at the height you want to fly and yet you don't know Jesus in depthly?

In a world where you can go on your own property— I have heard this story again, many people who died They went to their own property to inspect and all that. Somebody has buried charm there, step in there, get back home and die. A woman went to her own site and she just was looking up like something was coming down, and then she held her head, she fell down there.

They took her home in the car. On the way there, she died. Is there no balm in Gilead?

Are you aware that it is a strategy of safety from God that there is a hand that comes over your life and speak words there? Are you aware that safety is reinforced? Many of us just think this life is about— no, no, it is a—

the dark places of this world is full of abomination, of what?

Cruelty, wickedness, and That is peak. That to a David, there must be a Samuel in Ramah that you can run to when Saul say kill him. One time, let me just ask you a question. Who is speaking over your life? Oh, we think it's an archaic practice. Which company of prayer do you belong to? Which company of prayer do you belong to? What do you do every day? What is the depth of priesthood and your practices? We fight honor towards those who are ahead of us. We fight even giving in our local assemblies. We fight everything sacrilegious in the church. And the generation is being told, you go ahead. You are fine. No, that generation is being exposed and made vulnerable. If care is not taken, there will be more premature death in that generation because everything that guarantees security has been stripped of. You must be wise. You don't take your wisdom from media, you take your wisdom from scriptures. The Bible, we sit with it, we come to the church church and learn and go back and understand how we interface with the world. We are dealing with a corrupt system, and I don't care whether there's a pastor who is also out against God, because we, we understand what this is. This is the last days, and where you are and what you're interfacing with What must I do? What am I supposed to do? Look at the way the thought of death is coming. What is the secret of length of days? Have I searched the scripture and find it out? What is the secret of living a very healthy life? What is the secret that guarantees abundance even in the things we do? What has God revealed to you? Somebody said it is what God reveals to you that reveals you to your world, there are practices that you have. Are you following what I'm saying here? We talk about in Sphere of Light Church, God has made 4 covenants with us. Number 1, there is the covenant of life. Nothing dies in our hands. A covenant means that there is a practice we practice. Number 2, there is the covenant of ease. We don't struggle to get things done. Number 3, there is covenant of God's sure mercy. That's the kind of mercy that speaks over judgment. Number 4, there is the covenant of praise. And as often as we praise God, we'll never lack reason Sins to praise him. So you come to Sphere of Light Church, you see us have a dedicated 1 hour on Sunday morning to praise. Not only are we praising, we understand it is a covenant practice here. To every covenant you think you are under, there are covenant obligations. Is that okay now? I pray for you in the name that is above all names, you will not be exposed and vulnerable. Amen. Let's expose the playbook of the Satan, of the devil. I am not— I am not ready to bury any one of you prematurely. I am not ready to see any one of you crash. I tell you, there are secrets. I showed it to you before Pai SGL died. I can't remember whether 1987 or '86. He, towards the end of his life, he was saying things that many people began to misunderstand him and get offended get at him, and they will just, you know, get offended. Um, and many stopped coming to see him. Before Paes Yelting died, it was Pastor Iya Adeboye that God revealed to that he's about to go. It was Baba who sent money for the coffin where he was buried in to be bought. When Archbishop Benson Idahosa died, it was Bishop Oyedepo who carried that, you know, the staffing and everything for a while before they continued from there. I was listening to Pastor Chris Akilome, and he was saying that, you know, Mommy Idahosa is spiritual mother. He said she never speaks to him on the phone and he's standing on his feet. He said every time she's talking to him on the phone, he's on his knees. We are looking at a man flying that high.

This is somebody who has not even taken a jump, saying what nonsense, is that not evil worship? Is that not evil worship? All these idol worshippers, blah blah blah blah blah.

May it be, could it be that the reason why you are where you are is because there's no honor in your heart?

No, can it be?

Is it possible? We see things we learn from, we despise it. Meanwhile, you are not covered in that area. You look at people— the Anglican Church pastor here, Adeboye, attended in Ife Ora. Till date, he's the one paying the salary of the security and all the staffs there. Maintaining covenant loyalty to a cause, maintaining it. This is not idol worshiping. This is wisdom. This is wisdom that in the days you were small, you said to God, bless me and I'll take care of the widows and the poor. He has started now. Are you faithful to that tenet? Look at the woman, um, this woman that died in the Bible, and other women began to cry, say, no, we can't go and bury her like that. Say, she gave me this, she gave me that, she gave me this, she gave me that. Look at what her life did, and she was brought back to life on the account of that. The honor that was not demonstrated in his life time the wife did it behind his back. Don't let dishonor lead you to early grave. You must be— you must pledge loyalty to a cause. There are people, they have practices every year when it is their birthday. They win souls, maybe 1,000 souls. Another year they win souls. Some people, every year when it's their birthday, it's marathon praise, marathon praise. In the midst of it, God speaks again, next year to be greater. It's like somebody— it's like they put JamScore on their account balance, but it's the loudest in the room. Will never ask questions, why are these people like this? No, but we are wiser than the wisest. How can the devil damage a generation at the same time and make them foolish? No, you are not a part of the ungodly system. You are wise. There's a system for that. But there are people who are innocently being mentored by this darkened council. I'm saying that if we don't rise and we allow this thought process to go on, in another 5, 10 years— one of the reasons why some of us are trying to do is to make sure we reduce the level of untimely death that will happen through dishonor that is stripping a generation. Many have asked, how do I give my life to Christ? I want to make it very, very simple and introduce you today to the person of Jesus. Paul, speaking in 1 Corinthians chapter number 15 from verse 1, said, I deliver unto you the gospel that you have received and also believed, and wherein you stand, how that Christ Christ came and died for our sins according to scriptures, and he was buried according to scriptures, and he rose on the third day according to the scriptures. When he died, he died for our sins. When he was buried, he was buried, and the Bible said he went into the lower part of the earth and set the captives free. And when he rose on the third day, he rose for our justification. And now we are seated with Christ far above principalities and powers. It is believing in his sacrificial works and his resurrection that gets us saved. So you believe in your heart unto righteousness, and you confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior unto salvation. The moment you do this, whether you feel it or not, according to scriptures, you have been saved. So today If you are giving your life to Christ today and you want to give your life to Jesus and accept him as your Lord, I'd like to lead you to Christ. And that is exactly why I'm here this morning. You want to say these words after me. Lord Jesus, I believe that you came into this world to die for my sins.
