THE MAN CALLED MOSES 2

Apostle Femi Lazarus teaches on Moses and biblical deliverance, drawing parallels to Nigeria's current struggles. He argues God releases human agents to break cycles of captivity, and calls listeners to prayer, fasting, and readiness. The sermon ends with a ₦180 million fundraising appeal for Sphere of Light Church Global's expansion.

Welcome to an encounter with the spirit, word, and prayer through the prolific apostolic and teaching ministry of Apostle Femi Lazarus, lead pastor of Sphere of Light Church Global. It is his vision to raise God's end-time armies. God has not called you to prove you are the best. He has not. As a leader, you are a broker of gift and talent. So brace up for an experience. Lift your hands where you are and bless the name of the Lord from the depth of your heart. Thank you, Lord. We bless you, we bless you, Lord. We thank you, Lord. Come on, lift your voice loud, loud, loud enough and give him all the praise. Give him all the praise. Give him all the praise. Give him all the praise. Give him all the praise. Give him all the praise. Oh, thank you, Father. Blessed be your holy name. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Oh, we bless Thank you, Lord. Shaka tabala da bara koshente. Oh, we bless you, Lord. We bless your holy name. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus' mighty name we are praying. Oh, thank you, Lord, for the release of your spirit. Thank you, Lord, for your presence. We give you praise, we give you honor, and we give you adoration. Blessed, blessed be your holy name. Thank you, Father. This morning, your word will flow with free course. There is no hindrance whatsoever. You will anoint these lips of clay. To release life. In the name of Jesus, we give you praise. In Jesus' mighty name we are praying. Hallelujah! Good morning, welcome to church. You want to greet someone to your right and left and say, good morning, good to see you, good morning. Compliment something about the person. Wow, you look amazing! Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Amen. Thank you, Lord. It is the beginning of a new phase, a new season. I didn't hear the amen loud enough. The beginning of a new phase, a new season, in the name of Jesus. A new phase is here. Hallelujah. A new phase is here. A new season is here. And that's the announcement for this morning. Amen. Amen. Praise God. Hallelujah. All right, you have to get set this morning. There's a turn, there's a shift in the atmosphere, and when God move, you move. Praise God. When there's a shift, you shift. Amen. Praise God. Now I start a new series titled Egypt and a conversation under that series, all right, with a subtopic titled The Man Called Moses. And I said we're going to look at the subject of Egypt under 3 main sub— under 3 main subheadings. The first is The Man Called Moses. The second is Understanding the System of Egypt. And then we're going to study the children of Israel. And these are three main, um, if I use the word— permit me to use the word— entities as far as this conversation is concerned. All right, and if you missed Bible study, then you missed too much. I'm not— people agree with me that if you miss Bible study, you miss too much, because Bible study is always a different meal, um, entirely Amen. Now I'm going to start from a different dimension and a different angle, a different approach to this conversation today. So I'd like us to please turn our Bibles to the book of Obadiah, chapter number 1. We read verse 17, then we jump to verse 21. Obadiah chapter number 1, we read verse 17, then we jump to verse 21. And I want us to follow this conversation keenly. Look at it. But upon Mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness, and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. Verse 21 now. And can we read this together? 1, 2, 3, go. And say yours. Please, can we take it again one more time? Amen. So when the Bible said upon Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, it is because the strategy of God for administering that is that there is a release of a generation of those who can save. And rescue. Um, God determines seasons, but seasons are initiated through the release of men. God determines seasons, however, seasons are initiated through the release of men, whether good or bad. There's a time to be born and a time to die, right? Because there's a human vessel. True? Because there's a human vessel. Man is God's strategy. That was it. Um, John Wesley that said, man Man cannot do anything without God, and it appears that God will not— not cannot— do what he wants to do without man. So it is the deception of the devil, it is false humility to think you are too insignificant for God to depend on you. It is false humility, it is falsehood. You matter, you are important. Somebody's life will be grounded unless we match. Somebody somewhere, okay? And God is counting on you. Jesus met that guy that was born blind. Disciples asked him, because according to them, this kind should not happen, all right, unless somebody has sinned. So they have the question: who sinned, this guy or the parent? Jesus said none of them. But this one is so that the glory of God will be made manifest. All right, who is the person carrying that glory or the picture of that glory? Jesus Christ himself. So it means that it is possible that somebody is in distress waiting for what you carry. Please, is that okay now? Waiting for what you carry. They say they are waiting on God. God is waiting on you. Oh yes, God is waiting on you. All right, so let me show you. Let's do some comparative works, um, this morning, and I want us to, um, compare. So we're going to approach this systematically, and I want us to please pay attention. We want to approach— we want to look at two similar situations, um, in different time zones and how they all panned out to be. Jeremiah chapter number 25, from verse 11 to 12. Jeremiah 25, from verse 11 to 12. So let's, let's check something there. Jeremiah 25:11: And this whole land shall be a desolation and an astonishment, and this nation shall serve the king of Babylon. How many years? 70 years. How many years? 70 years. Now, this was words of Jeremiah about the nation of Israel because of their sins. So God was telling them, said they are going to go into captivity for 70 good years. All right, shall come to pass that when the 70 years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, says the Lord, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and I will make it perpetual desolation. And that was the prophecy that went ahead of them. And you know how this started? Not too long after this time, they were all taken into captivity, and they were there for many years. That's why you have Daniel, that's why you have Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. All right, you had these guys, even Ezra, you have them taken into captivity for 70 years. All right, let's check another prophecy that went ahead of the same people, all right, but at different time zones. The book of Genesis chapter number 15 from verse 13. Genesis chapter number 15 from verse 13. Look at it. Genesis 15 from verse 13. And he said to Abraham, know of a surety, all right, that your seed, thy seed, shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs. And shall serve them, and they shall afflict them. How many years? How many years? 400 years. What was the first one we read? 70 years. This one, how many years? 400 years. Did God say this? Yes, he did. Yes, he did. Now look at this. Let's turn our Bibles, please. The book of Daniel, chapter number 9. Daniel, chapter number 9. Let's start the reading from verse 1. Daniel chapter number 9, from verse 1. In the first year of Darius the king of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans, in the first year of his reign, I Daniel understood by books the number of the years whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that they would accomplish 70 years in the desolations of Jerusalem. And I set my face unto the Lord to seek by prayer and supplications, with fastings and sackclothes, all right, and ashes. And I prayed unto the Lord my God and made my confession. And said, O Lord, all right, the great and dreadful God, keeping covenant and mercy to them that love him and to them that keep his commandments, we have sinned and committed iniquity and have done wickedly and have rebelled even by departing from your precept and judgment. Neither have we hearkened unto your servant the prophet, which spake in the name to— in your name to our kings and our princes and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. O Lord, righteousness belongs to you, but unto us confusion of faces, as it is of this day to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to all Israel that are near and that are far off through the countries, whether you have driven them because of their trespass that they have trespassed against you. O Lord, to us belongs confusion of our face and to our kings and all that. In verse 9, said, to the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against him. Now this was a man's response to the revelation of a season. Jeremiah gave the prophecy Yes, Judah or Israel will be taken into captivity and they will serve— even mentioned the name of the country that will take them, or let me say the kingdom. And God gave the expiry date. Is that okay now? And as it was getting close to the time that they should be set free, somebody came into an understanding. The entire nation is at the mercy of the light of someone. The same way, lives connected to you, they are at the mercy of the life you receive. That if, if, if, if somebody will catch a body of revelation as touch And that's why when Philip met the Ethiopian eunuch, the first question he asked him was, 'Understandest thou what thou readest?' You can be in a season and you don't have an idea of what it's about. You can be in a season that should expire and you don't have an idea of first generation of the promised land Christian in your lineage, but you still assume I am part of the generation of the wilderness. Was there a track record of wilderness? Yes, but according to what is written, you should understand by books that this is when it should expire. Listen to this: every challenge sees the day a man comes to understanding. In the case of the Israelites, now someone understood by books that they should be free now. And the moment he came into the understanding, the first thing he did was that he entered into prayers. Once seasons are changing, there will be extra burden to pray more. Listen to this. When you begin to sense that there's a burden to pray more, there's a burden to fast more, there's a burden to sacrifice more, it is because there's about to be a betting. Yes, sir. Every time there's going to be a shift, there will be either of these burdens. You just notice that there There's something about me that is just longing to— is there anyone here who is longing to pray more? Just, just— I can't explain it. I just, you just— at that point you notice that 1-hour prayer is not enough because it is something that is about to be pushed out is at the mercy of prayer. You, you may not know it, but you know that 1 hour is not doing sufficient job to push out what needs to be pushed The same way when a woman is about to deliver, she start having contractions, having contractions, start having contractions. She can't tell what is happening. It is because something is about to be born. When that season comes, you must understand there's a battle. But I've seen people who carried pregnancy for 2 years. Oh yes. Have you met anyone like that? I have met someone like that. I've met someone who carried pregnant for 3 years. Oh yes. Oh yes. And the baby was alive and intact for 3 years. What, what happened? That's, that's, that's, that's wrong. That's an abnormality. That's an abnormality. Usually you say when this is happening, this, you check all the vitals and all this, and then you, you suggest a CS. That this is the EDD. If this is not coming out at this time, then let's go for ACS. Let's go for ACS. And that's exactly what God does. If you carry this thing for so long and you are not betting what you should bet, he bring extra hands. Let's help this person bet it. Sometimes insult is part of the process to tell you you are due for delivery. And you begin to see the kind of insult you should not see because you have carried something longer than the duration to carry it, and it should not meet you there. Different hands will come. They will have to cut you open and you will bleed in a way you should not have bated it, but so that this thing doesn't die. Anything God does to make you bathe is mercy. It doesn't matter how painful it is, it is his mercy doing it. Is that okay now? Yes. Sometimes you ought to be doing things to initiate the process, but because you are not doing it, he opens the door and allowed the enemy bring so much ridicule so that you can come to your senses. The prodigal son would never return back home if there was no hunger. Hunger sometimes is a system to show you there's a home. Yes, sir. It is not palatable, but it draws you back that you have carried something and you are carrying it in a strange land. Is that simple enough? You should not carry it more than it is due. The Israelites were— prophecy went ahead of them. We read that, that they will, they will serve a strange nation. For how many years? 400 years. 400 years. That was the word. And I noticed that God always begins the process of deliverance before the day expires. He does. When you give a woman— this is your expected date of delivery, plus minus 2 weeks. In the case of the Israelites, God gave them plus minus 40 years. He began their deliverance in their 390th year, that however Pharaoh want to be stubborn, 10 years you are out. But they had to spend 40 years, not because Pharaoh was stubborn, but because they were stubborn. No captivity lasts longer than a man's understanding. Yes, sir. How do I explain that now? There's, there's an adage, there's an adage that the day madman knows he's mad is the day he's free. Look at it. Oh God, help me open the eyes of these people, please, Lord. Look at it. Prophecy had gone forth that by this time tomorrow, a measure of wheat will be sold for a shekel, a measure of barley for this amount. The king heard it, and the Bible said the man on whom— whose hand the king leaned— said, how will these things be, that even if God opens the windows of heaven? Do you know what the windows of heaven are? Is, he said, my distance be— ah, and the prophet said that, okay, you will see with your eyes, but you'll not eat. The people who ate the prophecy had eyes, had nose, had hands, had legs. The people who were not allowed into the city because of their medical condition were the ones who fulfilled the prophecy. Listen to this. Forget about anybody that is being called out in a meeting and they are giving prophecy. It is the one who moves that fulfills. It is not for the highest amen. It is for the one who can take the step. Those guys only ask the question, why sit we here till we die? I'm saying you can fulfill prophecy without feeling spiritual. Sometimes this thing we call— I'm sorry, sometimes some people with extreme religious practice, they delay God's process. Because they want to check this and check that and check that. But God wants those who are rugged enough to move without thinking. When you have too much to lose, you lose everything. I'm scared. Hey God, okay, God, I pray for this girl. God said go and lay hands on that person to be healed. And then you start asking, what if this person is not healed? Because you have so much to lose, you have your reputation to lose. If I pray for you, you didn't get up from wheelchair, I don't have anything to lose. If you get up, I don't have anything to gain. You only lose when you can gain. Yes, the reason why you feel, what if God doesn't do it, is because if he had done it, would have taken the glory. And you see that you can never fulfill God's plan that way. It was those lepers, lepers, that said, why sit we here till we die? You know what that means? They were going on a suicide mission. They said, if we sit down here, hunger will kill us. What's spiritual about what they were saying? Nothing. If we go to the camp of the Assyrians, if they kill us, we'll die. But there's a slight chance that they can give us food. I said, what's that? What's percentage? About 2%. Say, let's take the 2%. Yeah, hunger will kill us. And then the guys who did not hear prophecy but decided to move, fulfill prophecies that those who had became too logical to fulfill. And they got up, and the Bible said God caused the host of Assyrians to hear the sound of chariots. Lepers have their legs eaten up, so that's their most disadvantaged part. Because their leg is being consumed every day. That disadvantage, God placed a mic there as they move. How can you have lepers walking and what you are hearing is noise of chariot? Because when the season to fulfill prophecy comes, God amplifies everything you do. It is not the same thing and the same effect. The same thing and different effect. You are not learning anything new. Now God said is the time. If you move, God will move with you. The time for Kolea to die had come. Anybody who throws stone will kill him. You have missed many opportunity because there's an open field, but you just won't enter. You forgot that boats have gone ahead. Nobody fulfills prophecy seated. Is that okay? Yes, nobody fulfill prophecy seated. There must be that question, why sit we here till we die? Somebody needs to question, why am I here? Why is this happening? Everything begins with dissatisfaction. You start asking question. So the Israelites were in pains, they were groaning, but they were not asking questions. They were not expecting deliverance. You can be in pain and not expect rescue. Things can be bad, but you don't expect the season to change. Hey God! Yes, I'm telling you, things can be very bad. Uh, you cry, but you are not expecting a change. A change? Why? Uh, not expecting a change. Because you know why? We have built coping mechanisms. And sometimes we give what we change a name called long suffering. How long should the suffering be? Daniel— I, Daniel, understood by books that the 70th year prophesied by Jeremiah had been accomplished. And the moment he understood that, began to fast, began to pray, then began to initiate processes. For instance, prophecies had gone ahead of Nigeria that a time will come that Nigeria will be known all over the world for corruption, for all forms of vices. And another time will come that Nigeria will be known for righteousness, and different nations will want Nigerians in their nations for righteousness, for integrity. That tells us that the fulfillment of this prophecy cannot be about the change of government, but about the change of orientation of the people. Yes, sir. Nation builders. Through transformational leadership approach, taught leaders to change orientations. It is not a 4-year thing, it is a daily thing. Yes, sir. If you are tired, when you hold your green passport and you're going anywhere, you know that they're likely going to call you aside and say, open your bag. Yes, tell us about yourself. How are you doing? With all your apostleship, they will come at your back. And say, can you just sit down here for a moment? And they are watching you in CCTV and psychoanalyzing you just because you carry green passport. The day you become tired, start initiating the process. How long should the captivity be? Till understanding comes. I see God raising a generation of world changers. Amen. Maybe they are not here, they are not excited, they are not saying amen. Amen. I said again, I see God raising a generation of world changers, those who will change the narratives. Hi, I say again, those who will change the narratives, those who change the stories, those who say we're a different generation. I see God raising new people. Amen. Who are just tired. Tired of the insult, tired of the ridicule, and start saying we can do better, we can become more. Is anyone like that here? Say we can do better, and this begins with me where I am. Yes, it begins with me as the leader of an organization. I lead with integrity, okay? Nobody have to come and open their skates to get a job. Yes, I lead with integrity. I lead because— listen, how do I help put this now? You know what you have been doing is that you keep waiting for change to come. And forget that you are the commencement of the new season. You are, you are the child of prophecy. When that prophecy was written, it was written with your name on it, and you will fulfill it. If you were not in that prophecy, there's no way this word will be coming now. It's because when that generation comes, the message must change. Yes, it must, it must. When that generation comes, the message must change. And listen, when your season is changing, all that is required to enter and maximize the new phase that God is bringing you to will be supplied. The supply of wisdom, the supply of abilities, supply of like-minded people, individuals Because we're in a birthing phase. As soon as Zion travails, she brings forth. The pain is much, so you can get out of it. I heard, I have not confirmed, that somebody said a bag of rice about ₦70,000. Am I correct? Interesting. How long more shall these things be when people rise and say, we are the change we have been waiting for? The prophecy is not about a person, it's about you. You know, the difference between Daniel and Moses was that Moses had to run with it. Got Aaron, that got him into trouble. Daniel had Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, had Ezra, had other solid guys with him. And I see God raising people here who will be solid in the birthing of a new nation. Listen, there are people here who are not going to die till their names are written on the pages of our history. You wonder, why am I thinking the way I'm thinking? Why do I have the burden I have? Why do I have the agitations I have? Why do I have this challenge? Why am I— why am I seeing things like this? Because there is a prophecy with your name on it. Why am I feeling this heat? So that you can feel it and then bring others out. That's why. That's why it is always painful when people don't know the time of their deliverance. It is always painful. Why is the family in so much pain? They were in pain until you were born, and they are still in pain until you understand. You have to come to an understanding. Amen. Look at that scripture I showed you, the book of Acts of the Apostles. Let's turn our Bibles there. Is somebody being blessed this morning? You know, let me tell you a story. Most times what your life is about is what you will not believe your life is about. I remember one time years ago, myself, the pastor of our church— that's the resident pastor— and my dad were going to cross the road, a road in Kano, to get some things. So I knew where they were staying. I was going to take the both of them there. And as we were crossing, the pastor said, 'Three anointed heads.' I said, 'Did I hear what he said?' I didn't hear. I convinced myself not to hear what I heard because I could not believe it. I know both of you are anointed heads, but this my own coconut head, is it anointed? Yeah, you can look at yourself and say, what's special about me? I told you that God specializes in putting things that will shake the world in small containers so that you can look unto him for the fulfillment of the things he has said. Yes. So that you will not be lifted up in pride. Is that okay now? There's something about you that you are not believing yet. Yes, there is. You know, I studied the move of God well enough to know that if some of us will be relevant in the next 40 years, it will be because some of the people who are seated here have risen. Yes, go and check church history. When the move begins, oh, that man. But there are people hidden there that will emerge later. And every old generation— ah, now that's— let me, let me hold that back. Don't worry. Okay, well, some of them won't even believe it, that there are people you watch on TV but you share tables together in no distant time. If they tell you, you won't believe it. The question is, who am I? And that question is there so that you can look unto him for lifting. Let's look at what the Bible says about them. The Book of Daniel— I'm sorry, um, Act of the Apostles, chapter number 7. If you are there, say amen. Look at it. Let's start the reading from verse 22. Acts 7, from verse 22. Amen. Now, before I read this, how many of you remember the story of Jephthah? Yeah, Jephthah that was called the son of the prostitute. And the Bible said they thrust him out of their house and said, you will not be with us, get out of our house, leave this place, nonsense, this, that. And in no distant time, when war came, they had to go and look for the same guy and say, come and help us. There are doors that they threw you out of and slammed the door, but they are still going to call you back. You don't believe it? When people reject you, don't reject yourself. Don't partner with your haters to reject what God has for you. When they call you names, you must know who you are. In fact, you must know who you are before they start praising or criticizing you. You must, you must know who you are. Don't blush too much when people praise you. It's a sign they've given you a definition. They know they have access to make you cry. Accept compliments in a healthy manner. It is not validation. It is your opinion. What I know about me is stronger than this opinion because you can change tomorrow, but what I know won't change. Do you understand? I'm not talking about husband and wife. Your husband say you are beautiful, say that's your opinion. Ah, say, say I'm doing what Apostle said. Ah. I don't have another husband for you. When that one talk, you blush. Is that okay? You blush. Yeah. When I tell my wife, you are so beauty. Jeez. Jesus. So I just got my wife, say, what? Say, what's happening? What's happening? Say, you too fine. Say, stop, Joe. She like it. I looked at my wife, what? You just get back, how do I look like this? Are you fine? Oh, you think I'm just telling my wife? Thou art Femi Lazarus, thou art— yeah, yeah. That's why some of you are asking girls how we can James English, they don't bounce you. Valentine, don't come. A rose they will give you on top stick. Say, so sister, can I talk to you? So you know the Bible say, we conk you on the head. At least get sweet words. At least start from there. At least ask your neighbor, Alpha. Yeah, you started talking. No, why they take announcement? There are some of these guys, I don't even know how they got into a relationship. You know, I used to sit down, I'll just imagine, how did Robert get into a relationship? Would they just look at the sister and say, bless you, and say, bless you too? Because it doesn't look like somebody who knows all this kind of thing is a reverend. Amen. I'm going somewhere this morning. Look at what the Bible says in verse 22, Acts 7, verse 22. And Moses was learned in all wisdom of the Egyptians and was mighty in words and deeds. And when he was full 40 years old, it came to his heart— somebody say it came to his heart. Somebody said again, say it came to his heart. Come on, say it again. It came to his heart to visit his brethren, the children of Israel. It came to his heart. It occurred to him. You start having the nudge to do the unusual because you are about to bet something, and it may not be understood. Get used to it. Get used to not being understood. Get used to it now. You can't live your life at people's pace. Get used to it. You will understand before your audience understands. Get used to it. Do you understand what I'm saying? Yes, sir. Get used to it. The one carrying the anointing of leadership will have to mature it for a while. Every vision speaks at the end, not at the beginning. When it is at seed stage, nobody believes you. But are you strong enough to go lonely route? Are you strong enough to do life without validation? Are you strong enough to do life without anybody say, oh, we are behind you, keep on going? When you start touching the deep stuff, you'll be alone for most part of the journey. And don't blame people. They have seen many people say they want to do something and it failed, and they are not just ready to commit anyhow. Okay, understand them and nurture it. Your heart must be large. Look at verse 24. And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him and avenged him that was oppressed and smote the Egyptian. For he supposed that— what? Verse 25. Let's read together. Verse 25. 1, 2, 3, go. For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand will deliver them, but they understood not. Why? They were not interacting with prophecies. Ask your neighbor, understandest thou what thou readest? Do you understand what season you are in? Do you understand the time? What is the time? Ask your neighbor, what is the time? What time are we? What time are you? You must understand. It's supposed that they will know that the guy in the palace is not just there for fun. That's their deliverer. But they did not understand. May you not be blank in the days of revelation. Amen. And when people understand, there's a way they talk. When people don't understand, there's a way they talk, okay? And so when people don't understand, there's a way they talk. And this guy spoke as one who had no understanding. He said, who made you a ruler over us? You know, there's a part of this scripture I would have loved to show you, and that's the fact that every Moses must know that Those trying to talk you out of your calling are those who have been sent to save. If they talk you out of it, God may have to wait for you to mature and come back. But you must learn from this story and don't run. Stand your ground. I wish Moses would have just answered and say, God has made me. But it is difficult to rescue a people who have no revelation of you. Oh yes, as a pastor, I know the most difficult place to minister is a place they are trying to decipher you, checking you out. Who's this guy? Who is this guy? Who is he? What's he doing? Who is this guy? Because the anointing flows where there is understanding, flows where there is— it is revelation that creates expectation. They were in trouble, but they were not expecting And it's not just them, it's the system. It's the system. All man for himself. It's the system. It darkens your mind, gives you ways to cope. And when you stay long in bondage, you fight your deliverance because your deliverance looks like the bondage and the bondage looks like freedom. It is a system. It's psychological. It's psychological. Pick a rat and put the rat in a box long enough, it can't cope outside the box. That's why you see that when people are sentenced, all right, to long time in prison, they come out of prison and commit the same offense again. And get back to prison. Or some even get to a point— imagine someone who have been sentenced to 60 years in prison, and the fellow started at age 20. Coming out, all the people he used to know are dead. He can't cope. He will kill himself. We have built walls. We have built our mansion in prison. And when we come to the place of freedom, we are not used to it. You have to get used to platforms bigger than your exposure. You have to— hey, do you understand what I'm saying? Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Do you understand what I'm saying? Yes, sir. I told you I saw the video of a woman who took— please sit down— the husband to court to divorce him, and she said, I can't cope. Said, why? Said, he's too loving. I was shocked. Said he's too loving, he doesn't argue, he's too good, this, this, this. Said I can't cope. Said I grew up seeing my mother and my father fight and they will come back together and they will do this and they will bleed themselves out. And is the same thing happening to you now? You consider some people too good for your kind because of the definitions you have about yourself. Say, how can this guy say he likes me? 6 feet, so, so and so inches. Now you sabi, Goliath self tall. Paul na short man. I don't know about the rest. So height is nothing. Is that okay? God said don't look at the height of his stature. Eliabo. I'm not— it's not war against tall people, but I'm just saying. But you get to a point in life that you cannot take the best of what God has for you. Because you have your definition based on that. You know, in prison there is a language they speak. There's the language they speak in prison. Everyone around you in your wilderness phase tells you about your predicament. You, do you think there's anything? You are not special. There's nothing about you. You have careless people. But when you need to break out into a new phase, you must, you must get people who have the right words for you. The right definition. You must. There are heights you can't cope with friends who don't know you. You must get the people who can define you accurately, not by your past that they know, not by the past that they know, not by upbringing, Because you are not your background. Yes, sir. Those who knew when you were broke, and now they are not calling you proud because you have something. Those who can tell you that, I know you are going to get there. You know, there are friends that will even tell you that, I know God is going to lift you. When you get there, don't forget us. And they are not insecure about what they know that God is doing in your life. That it may not have started in their lives. And that doesn't make them, um, bad. They just know. Do you have friends like that who know that God is going to lift you? Who knows that— we know God is going to take you there. When you get there, don't forget us. And they will pray for you and support you to change your seasons. Marys must find Elizabeths. Yes. Oh yes. So that what you are carrying will leap. There are associations that when you get there, what you are carrying dies. There are associations that when you get, what you are carrying will leap. When you talk with this person, everything about the visions and the convictions God gives you dies. He says everything about himself or herself and while killing yours. But there is this person that when you get there, in 5 minutes of conversation You are strength— you are seeing aspect of your visions you've not seen before. That's a friend. That is what you need for betting. You need people who can supervise delivery. Don't go on with these guys who said, 'What made you a ruler of ours? They will extend your years of captivity.' And when they said that, Moses ran because he knew that those that put him in trouble is not even the Egyptian but his own people. Yes, sir. They go and tell Pharaoh that, see, that guy Moses is killing your people, and Moses will die. Do you understand what season you are in? That is the time for you to live the life you used to know. Do you have— does it ever occur to you that life as you used to know, it will one day change? Yes, sir. It will. Where you no longer eat bread with scarcity. Do you know you can be addicted to being broke? You can be addicted to bad governance. You can be addicted to bad news. You can be addicted to pain, problem. You can. You've coped around it longer than you should, particularly in a nation like this. Every day, one bad news or the other. Do you know what has happened to your heart in this country? You are not the same anymore. You are no longer innocent. As long as you're a Nigerian, you are not innocent. And this, this is not about Nigeria alone. A lot has happened. Some of you have driven on the road, you've seen people stabbed. You've seen legs broken, different kind of things that you could not see before. You need a change of orientation for there to be a change of season. Lift your hands and say, I know it. Ah, they are not here. I know it, that life as I used to know is changing forever. I know it like I know my name. That I've come to that season where all things becomes new. I know it like I know my name, that going forward it is no longer business as usual. I know it as I know my name, that the phase of my life where I stand as a deliverer has started. I have entered the phase of fulfillment of destiny. Therefore, why sit I here till I die? There comes a day that a man wakes up ordinary and will never go to bed ordinary again. You must know it. You must be able to discern when your season is is changing. You must feel the texture in the hair. You must, you must feel the taste and know. I can't tell yet, nothing has changed physically, but I know I was like a man walking in the desert, now I'm close to water. That perception will change your language. The change of your language will change your season. What do you perceive? You must know. You must know. And when God has raised you for something, never let anyone intimidate you out of it. Is that okay? Yes, never let anyone intimidate you out of it. You can be a fantastic singer— I, I know it never happened here, I'm praying for you— and then sing in a very powerful platform and miss your key. Oh yes, and yeah, you can miss your key. That's a moment. You now say, ah, look at you, you can't see, you got your life. Does that mean you should quit that? And that person that missed the key is the one they will all come to listen. I'm saying a man of destiny can have a bad day. The bad day is not bad life. It can happen. Don't define yourself anymore by what you are used to. Is there anyone here that is perceiving a change of season? Yes, sir. Let me ask you a question. For Nigeria, do you perceive that it looks as though the narratives are beginning to change? Not because the price of things in the market have reduced, but because it is appearing that Nigerians are beginning to and by books. I don't want to give this example, but the next generation must do more than wishful thinking. When the season change, you move. Why sit we here till we die? Move, move, move. David was in distress. God did not wait for him to come out of distress before he will make him the captain of those who are in distress. It is not when your season change that you begin your leadership journey. It is in the problem. Your first generation will watch you coming out. Oh yes, I heard that, sir. You will have to lead people out of poverty when you are still broke. And the wisdom you use will be their first-hand material to come out. You will say things that you are not because the Bible says so, and while you are saying it, they are mocking you. We don't say things because that is our experience. We say it when the Bible says it. You can cheat— you can teach fruitfulness when you are still barren. You are not waiting to have your child to say God can do this. And that generation will watch you trust God and carry your burden till you come out, and they can say, indeed, God is faithful. Your attempt to wait till everything change before you can speak will only rob you of your leadership glory. Don't wait. You have waited long enough. Get up, get up, get up. It's not a charge, it's an instruction. Get up and say, I enter into my leadership destiny. Get up! Yeah, get up, get up! I am not waiting anymore for things to change. I understand that this is the time. Get up, get up! I understand, I understand, I'm aware, I'm aware, I'm aware, I'm I'm aware, I'm aware, I'm aware, I'm aware. Get up, get up, get up. Amen. Listen, listen, for some part of your life you will have to emphasize on the integrity of scripture in an aspect that you don't have testimony yet. It is not your testimony that gives you a voice. It is the revelation of what the Bible says. Even if I don't look like it yet, I will stand. Though he slay me, yet will I trust him. That is the Christianity. You see, when you wait for your testimony to come before you can talk, you will speak arrogance. And that's why sometimes when you wait for something for so long and you touch it and you begin to speak from the reality of that substance, the chances are very high that it will be collected back so that from that ashes you will speak from the glory of leaning on God. You know, I told you the psalmist said that though I walk through the valley of the shadows of death, I will fear no evil. Say, for thou art my— say, your rod and your staff, the what? The rod is instant testimony. Stretch it over the sea, it will part. The staff is what you enter through waiting. Nobody start using staff at 20. You grow. There are things you wait for. There is the— I'm going to teach on this, Isaac and Samuel. There is the Isaac testimony, there's a Samuel testimony. The one that you have When it is still according to you, after the manner of women, you have Samuel when you are still menstruating. But Isaac don't come till he ceases to be with you after the manner of women. Isaac shows up when everybody have said bye-bye. In that staff, that while waiting, I have not touched it yet, but I have a report of a lifestyle of prayer that this waiting process has bettered. Don't wait till you have it before you say it. When you find it on the page of scriptures, hold it. Is that clear? Lift your hands. There are many of you here who gave up on different things God will have you do. Because you feel your life was not bearing result enough. Go back to it. You stopped encouraging people because you said your problem is much also. How come whenever they see you anywhere, no matter how you try to hide, they come and tell you their problems? They recognize the one carrying the grace to help them. Don't let discouragement push you out of it. You have a calling. You may not hold mics, but you are strengthening people. Discern it, discern it. You have abandoned too many things. Go back to it. Say, Lord, I go back, I reconnect, I reconnect, I reconnect. Please pray for the anointing for the new phase, the anointing for the new phase. How many of you can discern something is shifting, something is changing, something is shifting, something is changing? I change my orientation. I adjust to the frequency of this hour. Adjust, adjust, adjust, adjust to it. Adjust to it. Jesus, Jesus, I adjust to it. In Jesus' mighty name we are praying. Now listen, I don't care what life has done to you. God planned your life without consulting anybody, and you will fulfill it regardless of what they think, regardless of what they have said, regardless of who have said it, regardless of the anointing of the person. Men may be biased, God is not. Lift your hands. Say, I'm a child of destiny. Now I want you to say it emphatically. Say it again. People like me don't go down without fulfillment. One more time. See, I have noticed that words have power. Okay, no, I didn't say you should say it. Wait, I have noticed that when Adam and Eve said, "We could not approach you, God, for we are naked," the question God asked, "Who said it?" It can be that your entire conclusion about yourself is because you heard. You might know many things except yourself. And now God has sent me to tell you, you are a leader. You are, you are somewhere in your own storybook, but that's not the end. Don't put full stop where there's a comma. That's not the end. I'm not motivating you, I'm telling you the truth. I'm telling you the truth. You must survive. You must survive because many people depend on your survival. If you die, many will be too discouraged to continue. So you can't go down, you can't end it. If there's anybody who is thinking of end, you cannot, you cannot. You will finish. Even if this particular one ends in shame, you will come out of that thing. You will brace yourself. You will do it again. They will watch you and be strengthened. Is that okay? You are not shutting down. You have an assignment. You are not shutting down. Tell your neighbor, you are not shutting down. Come on, say it again loud and clear. I'm a child of destiny. I want to say it with an attitude. I'm a child of destiny. People like me don't go down without fulfillment. That is the reason why God has sent me to you at such a time as this, to supervise the betting. There will be no steal bets. You won't be missing. You won't die in the process. You will finish. You will bet it. All your dreams will come to pass in the name of Jesus. Where your parents couldn't pass, you pass it. Where they usually die, you won't die there. You are a child of destiny. You won't go down. You will not fail. You will not be another failed generation. In the name of Jesus. Thank you, Lord, because it is done in Jesus' mighty name. Our story in the city of Abuja is similar to the story of Jacob who said, by my rod I have passed through Jordan, but now the Lord has made me two bands. You remember how that recently God sent us to Abuja in what I will call the most humble movement. We came practically trusting God for what to do next and how he's going to help us with the words of prophecies he has given to us about the city and the armies arising. And guess what? God is doing just that. Recently we have been seeing the move of God in the most unbelievable way possible, with his word reaching the unreached, converting sinners to saints, bringing people who have lost hope in church. And now this has necessitated the need for expansion so that we do not fall out of what God is doing. Where we are currently is stringent for us, with rules that will limit what God is doing amongst us. The gospel is free, but the propagation requires a lot of funding. We want our friends, partners, and everyone connected to our ministry to join us as we undertake this project together. We have the urgent need to expand, and we believe that this is the kairos moment for us to do that. We are importing our own tent all the way from China and getting everything needed to fill that space and have a conducive place where we can have our apostolic work beyond what we are having now at the moment. The structure you are seeing on your screen is exactly what we are working at at the moment. Believe you me when we say that people who are blessed can be blessed much more when we have our own place. We want you to join us as we undertake this project. We need your support. We're counting on you and your generosity. We are working towards a project of ₦180 million in this season. You have the account details on the screen. Use the account details as God has laid in your heart. God bless you so much. We love you from all of us at Sphere of Light Church. Thank you. For always. Hi there! God is raising for himself an end-time army, and this is the mandate that he has given to us. Truly, the harvest is plenteous, but we need you on board as a laborer.
