What men need to beat porn.
6 Mar 2024 · 59 min
A podcast episode (Holy and Horny) featuring Coach Frank and guest Kevin Kyle about men's spiritual growth, vulnerability, and recovery from sexual sin — specifically pornography addiction. Kevin shares a candid testimony of past porn use, one-night stands, and gambling, explains how listening to earlier episodes led him to repentance and accountability, and leads listeners in a prayer to receive Jesus. The hosts close with a call-to-action inviting listeners to message the show ("community" or "Jesus") to join a planned private community.

Hey, just to be clear, he did not find porn on my couch, okay? He became aware.
I became self aware of my issues. Seeing two grown men, men of God, trying to really walk in their faith, in their flesh and be so vulnerable was so refreshing because we live in this world where, like, it's like, you can't really be yourself. Like, you can't have feelings. You can't. No, no, get over it. No, we gotta step. Just like, we got to step into the faith. Everything in life is a choice. So when I heard y' all go back and forth and you were being so vulnerable and honest, it just made me want to kind of dig deeper in myself and say, okay, Kev, like, what are you not being honest about?
Like, the fact that me and Guy were willing to speak up about our struggle, it made you be like, hold up, hold up. Where am I at then? I love the Lord and I love people that need the Lord. I'm just tired of being fake.
And if I got to be fake and I can't be real, the Bible says, confess your sin to one another. I love you. I honored you, man.
You are like your fruit of the ministry, man. Hey, welcome back to the Holy and Horny podcast, man. As you guys can tell if you're watching the video right now, I don't got Guy Jones with me today. I got my boy Kevin. Kyle. What's up, Kev?
What's happening? Coach Frank, it's a pleasure to be here. And I'm excited to get started, bro.
I'm excited to have you, man. For real, man. If you're listening to this right now, I just want you to know what. What you can expect out of this episode we're going to be talking about, really the experience of maybe, maybe you just gave your life to Jesus. Maybe you just became, you know, a man of God, quote, unquote. And you're like, dude, I've kind of been doing my own thing for a while because I was just raised with different beliefs, right? And now it's like all of a sudden there's a transition happening. You're like, oh, snap. How do I navigate this? So that's what you can expect in this conversation. And the way that this conversation actually came into fruition. Is it cool if I share this, Kevin?
Absolutely, brother.
Awesome. So it was actually my brother Kevin was here at the house and I had a, like a fly in event for the Conquers community. So if you're new to this, you know, the Conquers community, that is part of my coaching business. It's a community of people who have healed or are healing from divorce. And pretty much everyone that came is, like, completely healed from their divorce. And we're just, like, doing life together now. So they were here for a weekend, and what ended up happening was Kevin's flight got, like, no, no, he missed his flight. So it didn't get canceled. He missed his flight. He gives me a call. I go pick him up. And that is when me and Guy Jones had scheduled our first episode of the Holy and Horny podcast. And so if you've listened to the podcast at all, go back, listen the first one. And Kevin was actually sitting here on this couch behind me listening live as we're filming it. And apparently, I had a bit big impact on him. And so, Kevin, tell us what that experience was, bro. What kind of impact did that episode have on you to make you want to get on here?
For sure, bro. And, like, you know, to go from the beginning, it's like seeing two grown men, men of God, trying to really walk in their faith, in their flesh and be so vulnerable was so refreshing because we live in this world where, like, it's like, you can't really be yourself. You know, men are told, like, you can't have feelings. You can't. No, no, get over it. No, we got to step into that. Just, like, we got to step into the faith. Everything in life is a choice. So when I heard y' all go back and forth and you were being so vulnerable and honest, it just made me want to kind of dig deeper in myself and say, okay, Kev. Like, what are you not being honest about? It kind of helped me, held me accountable, you know what I'm saying? Yeah.
Yeah.
Spoke to me. It spoke to me on a deeper level beyond just a typical conversation between boys. We actually got closer that night. I love you, brother. Like, I. There. There was a whole bond that we shared just from watching an episode, and that was for everybody. That wasn't just for me, but I got something real out of it. So thank y', all, bro.
I appreciate that, man. Thank you for saying that, bro.
Thank you.
Thank you for saying that, because it's.
It's.
It is scary, man. Like, most people don't realize it, but it is scary putting yourself out there like that because everyone's just here showing their. Their highlights in life. You know what I'm saying? And I just. I just. I want to be somebody that when somebody, like, looks at me, they're not like, oh, this dude is perfect. They're like, oh, this dude is flawed, but he loves the Lord because that means that God will get the glory and I'll never walk in perfection. I just know I won't. And if you're expecting that out of me, then you're not a very smart person. I'm sorry. Like, you're just not a smart person, man. Right. And you're going to be let down very quickly. So let's just not be friends from the get go. Right. Because I'm not going to be perfect for you. Right. Or for nobody. It's just not going to happen. I can. And so it's really refreshing, bro, and really encouraging for you to say that. And you said something that was interesting. You were like, to see somebody like, be vulnerable. It held me accountable. Yeah, I want you to elaborate on that, bro.
Well, I mean, as far as you sharing your flesh, you know, like there's bits and pieces that we get to see from just experiencing each other's presence. But for you to really dive deeper and express something that, you know, you might, someone might be like, listen, bro, don't mess with him. He's wrong. He's bad news. He dabbles in this. It's like the judgment's not for you, truthfully. So, I mean, when I really started to question, like, who do I really fear here? Do I fear humans or do I fear God? That's good. I'm a God fearing man of God. So walking in that, because my dad taught me. My dad's been gone almost 10 years, but my dad taught me one thing that stuck with me for the rest of my life. If I'm going to do something, I'm going to do it a hundred percent. So I started questioning. That's, you know, leads to the point that we were actually getting at in the beginning of this podcast is like, you know, how I found my faith? You know, that was like a huge stepping stone for me. It's like, okay, y' all were vulnerable. I'm holding myself accountable now. Now I gotta continue to do that. Because my life goal or the way that I move in life now is progress, not perfection. Because you said it yourself, we're not built for perfection. Yeah, but we are built for progress. But we have freedom of choice. So now you got X, Y and Z playing a role and you got to make a choice. You have the free will to make that decision. I made the decision to find God, hopefully not half heartedly. That's why I'm a man of God. In terms of the Bible, I'm reading my Bible now. I do Bible study with my. My woman Tina.
Come on, man.
I got a Bible for my children. I'm moving all kinds of different. And I'll be honest, bro, being. Being vulnerable with people that I never was vulnerable with before, just to test the waters. Because God's going to reveal. I'm seeing who my people are because I've gotten people looking at me like, oh, you're a man of God now? What does that even mean? You'll get there, bro, if you listen. I got a lot to share, but if you're just going to dismiss me right from the get go, it's like you said, I'm going to put you at the back table up in here. I still have love for you from a distance. Yeah. And you're a child of God, no different than me, so you're deserving of it, but you got to choose it.
Exactly. Exactly. What I'm hearing you say is it's like I've talked about relationships the way that our mentor talks about them, where it's like in the Bible, there's the tabernacle and the tabernacle, there's the outer courts, which everyone can hang out in. There's an inner courts where you've got to have certain requirements to even get into. And then there's the holy of holies, where there is a very limited amount of individuals that get to step into the holy of holies. Right. And so when it comes to relationships, what I'm hearing you say is before I was a man of God, I thought that everybody was in the inner courts. But what I'm realizing is that as I became a man of God, the people that are in the inner courts actually need to be moved out into the outer courts. It doesn't mean you can't be around, but you're in the outer courts because you're acting like a fool when I take you into the inner courts.
Facts, big facts, coach.
You know what I'm saying? Yeah, bro. I'm so proud of you, man. I'm so proud of you. You're reading the Word with your woman, with your kids. Now you got a Bible like, bro, that's. That's big, man. That's. That's real big. I want to ask you this, man. What has the transition been from going from just being, you know, like just a man to adding of God at the end of it.
So that transition speaks to me on a deep level because I feel like, you know how they say when, when God is about to make a man, or we'll say woman, but a man. Great. First he isolates that man. So the funny thing is, is, like, I have y'. All. I have such a beautiful circle. The conquerors. Church 1132. Shout out to Church 1132. I love the vibe. I love the energy. I love the presence. Y' all were my foundation, my firm foundation, Right? Mm. But somehow I still feel isolated, but in the best possible way. That's the best way I can explain it, because I feel like now that I look at my people, or at least the people that I thought were my people as a man, I'm now realizing need to find their own faith to get to this level. And it's not me saying I'm better than you. It's me saying I'm better than the old me. This isn't a competition of me versus you. I'm a builder. I'm an intentional poorer. I don't spill.
Yeah.
I'm very calculated with the way that I move, with the way that I talk, which. With the way that I believe. So now it's like, I can't ever lose, bro. I'm in a place where I'm unrelatable to a lot of people that I used to associate with, and I'm. And that's kind of like my intention now is moving differently. Sharing content, trying to reach out, being a part of the Conquerors with the men's group and supporting, leading, stepping into my role as a man of God. Yeah, that's my definition.
Yeah. No, that's really good, man. That's really good. And it's true what happens, bro, it really is, like, when God really gets a hold of your heart and when your focus shifts, which I believe it was the same thing for you that it was for me. It's not that I wasn't growth minded in the beginning or even during my marriage, but what I can say is that that divorce was the beginning of an isolation that led to a next level focus and next level intention. Right. And so that's what I'm hearing you say. And it's so true, because I even noticed there was one day my boy Cody was here at the house. Dude came, he wanted to cook me some baller wings, and he did, bro. That man delivered. If you're listening to this podcast and you haven't heard me talk about Cody yet, Cody is, like, one of my best friends. And that dude comes over, like, and he just.
He's a.
He's an insane chef. Next level chef, man. The dude is gifted beyond measure. And so he Comes over and cooks some dope wings. But before that, I just. We're sitting there chatting and I noticed he's wearing a Texas Rangers shirt, bro. And like, this is what happened, Kevin. Like, he walks into the house, we start chatting a little bit, he's wearing a Texas Rangers shirt. I go to the other side of the island and I'm throwing something in the trash. And it's like I see his Ranger shirt out of the corner of my eye. And then as I'm putting, like, trash away and closing the lid. It was so weird, man. It was like my spirit got hit and I realized. I realized what I've been experiencing for probably the past four years, ever since I started stepping into this new season and stepping into who God really designed me to be, right? I realized that, man, I don't have a connection with my family anymore. Like, the Rangers was something that we all used to love together and that we would drive to the Rangers game together and we would know who was on the roster. We knew how many games they had won. We knew if they were going to clinch the playoffs. Like, we knew all of it. And then next thing you know, it's like, my family still knows that, but I don't because my interest is no longer in baseball. My interest is in something greater than that, right? My interest is like, on, okay, how do I live a life according to core values now, right? And what do these core values actually mean to me? Okay, how do I live a life where I'm not just leaving a legacy, but I'm living legacy on a day to day basis? Hey, man, my number one, my number one priority right now is actually building the kingdom of God, which means salvations. And like, those are my brothers and sisters. And my heart goes out to them because they don't know their daddy yet. I'm not just gonna let my brothers and sisters not know their daddy. Like, I was thinking about this the other day. Like, you got, you got two kids. Imagine if you lost one of your kids and then you told one of your other kid. You're like, hey, son, come on. Like, we gotta go look for him. And he's just like, I don't know, dad. Like, I know that they're out there somewhere, but I'm busy, man. Like, I got stuff I gotta do. And you're like, son, we need to go look for your. For your sibling right now, man.
Right?
He's like, I, I hear you, dad. Like, we got to. But bro, I got stuff I gotta do too. Like, you go look for him, bro, it would break your heart as a father. So I started seeing life this way, where I'm like, dude, I got siblings out here that need to be found, that need to come home, you know? And so now my focus goes from like, oh, man, I wonder who the Rangers are playing to this. And then this is still important to my family, and my family is important to me, but that thing is no longer important to me. And that was a measure of connection. And so now it's like, the realization that, like, wow, dude, I'm not as connected to my family as I used to be because the old me has passed and the new me is born. And again, not that we're better than anyone. We're just focused and passionate about different things in this season. And I. I feel like what I'm hearing you say is as soon as you guys start getting more passionate about the things that now I'm passionate about, yeah, like, we can have that same next level relationship. But until that happens, what's going to happen, bro? God is going to start bringing in the right, like, alignments, which, I mean, friendships right into your life, where you're like, oh, wow, I can actually talk vision with these dudes. I can talk Bible with these dudes. I can talk. I can talk legacy with these dudes. I can talk about the stuff that really matters to me now. Right? So it's a way different transition.
I love that, bro. I love that for you. I love that for your family, and I appreciate you sharing that. And I want to just say, like, if I'm hearing you correctly, it almost sounds like God moved through. Through you, through that shirt, through that example of life, and gave you an epiphany, because now look at you, bro. Now you move for your father. Your father does the ice bass. Now y' all are on that next level together, and you can really build with your family. Isn't that what every man, truly, every good friend, I should say? But every man wants that. I want to be able to build with my brothers and sisters, and I'm not one to be like, yo, I want all the wealth for me. No, no. If I got it, y' all got it. Mm. And you want. That's like you said, like, I can't leave my sibling. I can't leave my. My mother, my father. I can't leave none of them behind. But you also can't fault them for being at a different place in their journey neither.
Exactly.
It's not your journey to walk. And that's like me saying, listen, bro, you're going in for the bar exam. You want to be a lawyer. Yo, I got the cheats right here. I got all the answers right here. Do you really feel like you earned it now? No. Because I robbed you of your journey. It's not for me. Which is also, Coach, what helps me promote the idea of forgiveness. I know it's not for them. It is for me. But I try to be mindful of that. I try to be mindful of forgiveness, of allowing them the opportunity to see me for where I'm at in my journey. Because I certainly respect you and your journey, despite whether it aligns with mine or not.
Yeah.
You can't offend me when I know where I'm at, when I'm centered.
Yeah. Yeah, that's really good, bro. You can't offend me when I know where I'm at. That's really good.
And it's all love, bro.
It's. It's all love. That's what it is, man. That's how you become a centered man. Like, I know me and the. The episode that just dropped last week was all about, you know, attracting. Right. And attraction and. And becoming, like, a really high value man type of deal. And one of the things that is, like, the most beautiful about a really high value man is that they're centered and they make decision based off of their center. And that happens when you know where you're at. Right? And I. I talked about this in the Laugh Life After Divorce mastermind. It happens when you know who you are and then when you know whose you are and when you know who he is, too. Like, it's like, dude, I don't gotta try and move you from your journey whatsoever. So I love that, bro. Thank you so much for sharing that, man. I love. I love your wisdom. We can just pull so much from that now. I do want to hear, though, how you went from being just a horny man to now being a holy and horny man.
Okay, well, I think a lot of this can be exemplified, Coach, because, you know, I can't relate to you and Guy in the same way in terms of what season you're in, because I understand you're currently dating. See, I'm in a committed relationship, and we've been in this for six plus months now. And. And I'll be honest. And I. I've shared this with Tina. You know, like, I moved in different ways, I sinned in different ways that I look back on, and I'm like, I'm not proud of that, man. I Have had one night stands. I have drank myself silly. Okay? I have watched. I currently do not have, but have had because I found it. I discovered it right on that couch, bro. I had a porn addiction. There were a lot of flaws.
Hey, just to be clear, he did not find porn on my couch, okay? He became aware.
I became self aware of my issues.
And I love you, bro.
And I love you too, man. Listen, I told you I was going to come on here and be very open and transparent because that's what y' all represent. And I would be disrespecting y' all if I did not do the same thing and show up the way that y' all expect me to show up the way that you represent yourself. Because the way you uphold yourself no different than me upholding my faith and my belief in God, my father, my holy savior. Right? I'm gonna come and show up the way you expect me to show up, because you're in that circle, bro. I told you. You're at the highest of. Of high tables in my life. You know that? I've shared that with you many a times in church, in your home, bro. I love you too, bro. And I have no problem with showing it. But as far as getting back to what I was saying with the holy and the horny aspect is like, obviously, I'm still a horny man, bro. Finding your woman don't stop. Just like the. The dating don't stop. The courtship don't stop.
Yeah.
The belief in God, in your relationship, in both in unison, does not stop. Because the minute it does, you're no longer the man you were walking as. And if I'm all about progress, not perfection, my motto is be one a little bit better than yesterday. That I can do that I have control of. I might make a mistake, but my father's going to forgive because he knows my intention. I'm human. He knows I'm flawed. He made me flawed. Okay? But at the end of the day, I'm gonna get back up. I'm gonna be persistent because I know who I am, and I'm gonna keep walking. Whether that's single, married, dating, it's all a matter of intention. And all we can do is live in the moment because that's all we have. I don't know what tomorrow has in store for me, but I know God is good every day. So I walk with no fear. I believe in his mindset. I believe in my mindset now because we're linked. I might not hear God at this moment, but I do Feel he moves through me. I pray every morning. I can't wait for the day to hear his voice. Yeah, that's. That's what's going to make me excited, bro, not winning the Powerball. Not these superficial things, these surface level things that we all. We get lost in this world today, bro. And it's scary because we got so many distractions out there that it's like we lost our way. And what y' all do, you and Guy, simultaneously, it's like it could be the epiphany for others. And that's why I desperately wanted to be a part of this movement, bro, because it moves me. A man of God. It moves me.
Yeah, you are.
That's special. That's special, bro.
Yeah, I appreciate you saying that, man. Dude, you're a man of honor, bro. That's what you are. For real, for real, for real, bro. When did your conviction start? When did. When did your conviction start? Of like, man, dude, you know, I. I could just keep watching porn, but, ah, I'm a holy man now, too.
Honestly, I gotta give a lot of credit to you and Guy, bro, because that episode is what I was. I was. I was on that couch. And I'm listening and I'm. I'm hearing you very clearly. I'm hearing that, you know, God forgives and it's not a matter of finding him at 35. Yeah, I lost my way for almost three decades, bro, and he still loves me unconditionally, regardless of the distance, regardless of how far I stray. He knows to the end of this earth, where I was, where I've been, where I was going, but I had to find him. And yeah, I found him on my terms, but again, I'm human and he still accepted me. Anyway. What I heard y' all say was, it's not that I can't do no wrong, but if I am going to do wrong, I need to hold myself accountable. Because then I'm just taking advantage of his forgiveness. And I'm not one to take advantage. I've walked away from a lot of things. I'm not going to walk away having seen the vision God has bestowed into my soul and my destiny and my intention. So it's like, once you see it, you can't go back. And I saw it that day and I said, wow, I'm not walking in my faith. Wow. I'm not holding myself accountable. So now it's time to get real nitty gritty. And yeah, it wasn't on. On a podcast, but now it is, because I'M ready to show up.
Yeah.
But it took that moment to prepare me for this moment. It's all intentional. God is always working for you. Nothing is happening to you as if you're this victim that nobody else experiences. So that led me to that conversation we shared with each other. Not only did we grow closer, that was intentional. And here I am now. That was also intentional. My woman did not leave me, even though she made it very clear that porn was a no go for her from the jump. And I disrespected her anyway. And I struggle with this, bro. If I can speak on it for a minute, because there was a part of me that said, you know what? This is my battle with God. This has nothing to do with Tina. But if I'm going to walk fully and commit and hold myself accountable, that is not just to God. That is to his children. That's to my circle. That's the people I say I love to, people I say I respect. And I'm not making the same mistake twice with my ex that I would be making with my current. So I said, it's time to get accountable. Can she leave? Yeah, you better believe I thought she was going to leave. I shared that with you. I said, bro, I think she might leave. I'm gonna keep it real with you. But I owe her the truth. Yeah, because it does involve her. Because I made commitments to her that I would not do that. And I just got hung up on me, on my emotions. Oh, well, it's my problem. It's my problem with God. It doesn't involve her. This problem existed before her. So why do I owe her that? Because I'm still walking with her. If I walked away, that's different. I didn't walk away. I was walking simultaneously while disrespecting her. And I said, you know what? I'm a man of intention. I gotta check myself. Y' all checked me that day without even knowing you checked me. I got checked that day, bro. And guess what? Now we're stronger than ever.
Come on, baby.
God always gives, bro. Because I said to myself, bro, and this is something I want to share. Because if anybody can resonate with my problem or anybody can resonate with this message.
Message.
If you feel like you're moving from a place of fear, I dare you to walk into it. Because the devil only comes to you when you're on the right track. Because if you're already. If you're already giving him what he wants, he's not even paying you no mind. He's Not. And if it's meant for you, God will reveal that for you. You don't got to sit there and beg and pray. Oh, God, make it. God's going to make it obvious for you, but you got to pay attention because again, freedom of choice. This is where we get lost, bro. Is that freedom to. I want to. I want to pick the trio of good and evil, of knowledge and good and evil. I can pick that fruit, but I got fruit everywhere. I got animals everywhere. I got everything I need in the Garden of Eden. Yeah. But I wanted the thing that I couldn't have, Bro, we fall victim of that every day.
Yep.
And it don't matter how much of a man of God you are, you can still fall victim to that same mindset. But you got to walk with intention and hold yourself accountable.
Yeah.
Learn from your mistakes. That's all it is. Make the mistakes because they make you successful. But if you're not learning now, it's on you. And it's not to say that you're still not deserving. It's to say that you're further delaying your purpose, your intention, the way you were created, the person you were created to be, to become. Because we're not born ready, but how we go out is. Is how we're judged by the one and only person that matters. So I choose him time and time again, bro, I told you, I'm never going back.
Yeah, he's too. No matter who I'm with, he's too good.
Absolutely.
Bro, you. You said so many things on there that I want to. That I want to hit on, man.
Absolutely.
Something that was so. It hit me. It hit me deep, is you were saying you guys held me accountable by your vulnerability. Like, the fact that me and Guy were willing to speak up about our struggle, it made you be like, hold up, hold up. Where am I at then? And so by us holding ourselves accountable, personally, like, Guy not holding me accountable, me holding me accountable, and him holding himself accountable, it made you hold yourself accountable. So what I'm hearing you say is, like, the key to get somebody to hold themselves accountable is self accountability within yourself.
Absolutely.
That's really good, man.
One thing that I am not, Coach, is a hypocrite. So I just felt like, you know what? How am I going to sit here? And I shared this with you too, Coach. Not the sidetrack, but I had shared with you after that podcast. I said, bro, you doing me knowing you the way that I know you. Right. Because I came to you at my worst, at my Rock bottom, bro. I was ready to go, and I had kids. I said, no, no, no, we're not doing that. We're going to get help. But it looks dark. This is the darkest you've ever. This is the darkest room you've ever entered, and you accidentally close the door on yourself because you were entertaining the wrong thoughts. You chose the darkness.
Yeah, bro. I wish the old you could meet this you. This you would coach the old you out of that crap. Like this, dog.
I agree, man. And it's crazy because I look back and I'm like, I don't even recognize that guy no more. I feel sorry for that guy, but I'm also thankful for that guy because that guy became this guy. And. And I'll never go back, but it took those struggles and, you know, and. And the thing, too, man, is like, I love to walk so intentionally in whatever it is, whatever season, because I know I could make mistakes again, but I don't want to make the same mistakes again.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying? And I'll be real with you, bro. Hand to God. Right? Hand to God. He knows I could lie to anybody. I can't lie to him. He knows. I have not thought about porn. I have not entertained the idea of porn, bro. Finally caved, and I said, yo, this is my time. I don't even look at women the same way. It's like, we can appreciate a bad body, right? And women can appreciate a bad. A bad body as well. Bad meaning good. Just in case anybody's.
Just in case anybody's lingo is super outdated.
I'm from Philly, so I just want to clear that. Yo, she was. Yo, he's saying women are bad. Like, no, I meant good, but smoking hot.
Hey, bro, you're about to get the same smoke we've been getting. You're about to get called a misogynist, bro.
Listen, I know I'm not here to make enemies, but I know that they. They naturally exist.
Yeah. True enemies.
Yeah. I'm not going to take it personal, bro. There's no reason for me to be mad at your season. Yeah. And there's no reason to throw my season in your face. I. I exemplify and walk in my season because I want you to be there. It's out love. Yeah. It's not out of comparison. And the funny thing is, is I low key, kind of compared myself to you and God, and I said, how do I even deserve to be in this room listening to these guys, these men of God speak on their Truths and hold their head high and know that God loves them regardless. And I started thinking to myself, like, yo, I only pray when things are tough, when God's good. Oh, thank God. You hear people say it that don't even believe in God. Thank God, right? I was on time. Thank God. Oh, yeah, I got that job. Thank God. But when. The minute something goes wrong in your life, it's, oh, what was me. What happened? Why is this happening to me? I thought I'd do this and I do that. Well, it's because you were. You were spilling. You weren't intentional with your movement. You were expecting something in return. So you weren't pouring intentionally. You were spilling all over the place. And when you. You self reflected, you were like, oh, but my cup's empty. No, no, it's half full. Yeah, Rest, recoup, and pour again. But this time, do it with intention. Because now you're not looking for what was lost. You're now looking for what was found. It makes a world of difference, bro. It's why I'm so positive. It's why I wake up and I thank God for all the things that people take for granted, including myself every single day. I woke up this morning, I can pay the bills, I can eat. Or not. Because it could always be worse. And then when it's worse, everybody's like, oh, God, what? Please help me. God's been helping you this whole time, bro. You just haven't been paying attention.
Yeah, hey, Kevin's coming with some heat today.
I came on here with attention, bro. I'm ready. I told you I was ready to go.
Yeah, you're pouring it out, bro. You ain't spilling nothing right now, man. Dude, that's really, really powerful stuff, bro. Because it's the truth, man. It's the truth. Like, we compare ourselves. And you know what I've been thinking about? Because you hear about it, man? Like, there's all these men of God right now that are. They're getting hit because they had some sexual sin that was like, super hidden. But it's like, bro, of course you didn't talk about it when you were struggling because you'd have been shamed of it. Like, you haven't been around anybody that's had a conversation the way that me and Guy had a conversation. Like, pastors aren't around dudes like that, and they're not allowed to think that way or struggle that way, but they're human. Like, it's like, it's like we think that, like, the more that you Just pray like you're just never gonna struggle. I'm like, dude, no. That's like a recurring daily thing. Like, you got to be on that. You got to be submitting your flesh to your spirit consistently and consistently. And when the stress gets high and when you're a little tired, all of a sudden you're struggling a little bit differently. You're not fighting the same.
Right, right.
It's like, we expect pastors to never get clocked. Like, back when I would do Muay Thai, dude, It's like, if you take a knee to the face, next thing you know, things look a little fuzzy. And the first thing you got to try and do is survive, because now the person knows, oh, I got him, bro. A human being is a human being. I don't care what you say. A dude that's on a platform with a microphone is struggling as much as a dude who's just sitting at home on his couch and he's got the potential to struggle like that. And so I feel like what me, you, and Guy are doing right now is we're opening up this conversation of, like, hey, are you a man of God? Oh, and you're having sexual thoughts and you're having sexual struggle. Talk about it. Because notice what happened to you, bro. You said, bro, I. I could put this on God right now.
Yeah.
It hasn't been a thought since, bro. Me and Guy, and I'm sure people have heard through the most recent podcast that is actually being released tonight as we're recording this. It's called Righteous Horniness. Yeah. Righteous Horniness, bro. We're getting breakthrough in our lives. We're getting so much breakthrough in our lives, man. Like, it's awesome. You know why I think it is? Because we exposed it. We exposed it. Oh, you don't like how it sounded? I don't care, because I like how freedom feels.
Absolutely.
And so I think that is what men. And we're getting messages all the time, and. And women desperately need is, like, some individuals and some platforms and some people that, like, got a little bit of influence in their life to be able to say, hey, I want you guys to know, man, I'm not perfect. I still love the Lord. The Lord is still using me. My passion is still the kingdom of God, but I'm a little jacked up, too. And I'm not just going to say, I got sin in my life. I'm going to tell you what that sin is, because what it did was it made people say, holy crap, I have the same thing that I'm struggling with. I have the exact same thing. It's like somebody says, well, I'm struggling with purity. What do you mean? Like, oh, you look at a woman like, oh, dude, come on. Shut up. Get out of here. That's not a struggle, right? You're being normal. You're being normal right now. Like, struggle is like, dude, I can't. I can't stop tugging on my wiener at night, you know, because I'm watching porn. It's like, dude, that's like, tell us what it is, right? Like, I'll text. I'll text guy in Terrebone, and I'll be like, y' all struggling, man. Desperately want to call someone to smash right now.
It's like, right, right.
Struggling. And then you air it out, and all of a sudden it's not crippling you no more. So you start having freedom. But there's not enough people airing out their lowlights. They're all airing out their highlights. Like, that's literally what's happening. So, bro, that was so powerful what you said when you said watching you guys be that vulnerable really kept me accountable, like, made me be accountable to myself, which is just awesome. Awesome to hear. And I love that you got to hear that so fresh into your. Into your journey, bro, because there's a lot of beliefs that get created in. In, like, Christians, and really, people start hating themselves is what I've realized. You'll hear it on the. On the righteous horniness. I tell a story about, like, an incredible woman that me and her had a. You know, we. We had sexual experience, right? And she was incredible woman of God, right? And she just went to this, like. I mean, she thought she was being attacked by a demon because she was having wet dreams, bro.
Wow.
It's sad, dog.
You're being human. I wake up.
Bro.
Let me just roll over real quick. You know what I mean? Like, that's normal and I understand that, like, you know, there's a little bit of self discovery that needs to happen there. I get that. But sometimes I feel people don't get that. And. And I. And that's their journey, right? Yeah, but, yeah, no, I do feel bad for people because they're capable of having. It's like you told me straight up, man to man, you said, bro, I'm no one special. Because I told you. I was like, bro, I looked up to you so highly. I was like, coach Frank can't do no wrong. And you were just kind of like, that was your self check. Like, bro, I'm normal. If Anything. I might got more problems than you. You don't even know. But I need that outlet. And this is you embarking on that journey and creating that sense of community that allows these men and women. Because let's be honest, Coach, you've seen it. There are women getting stuff from this too. And I'm not saying that all women are going to like it, but maybe there's some self reflection that needs to be done. Man or woman. Because the idea is to help. I know it's gender based with men, but if there are women that you can help as well, come get the.
Smoke and we'll smoke you down too. Shoot.
It's community, bro. Community does not, does not hate. You know what I'm saying? Like, and we need an outlet. Male or female, we need an outlet to be. But, but to be honest, in my experience and I. This is just my experience. I feel like there are a lot more women out there who share with other women. We see it in a group. There is no problem getting the women to come right into the group and start spilling.
Yeah.
But when it comes to getting the men, I don't know if I'm ready for that. You already made the step to join, bro. Commit.
Yeah.
Just commit.
Yeah.
And watch the breakthrough fall right in front of your face. You need to be ready for it, though. It's a choice. We talk about that, you know?
Yeah, absolutely. Because you came in guns blazing, bro.
I had to.
That's why you're out where you're at. What, what, what month did we meet last year, man?
December. It was like, it was like maybe late November, early December, bro. I was like, dude, I was crying in my car. I had been following you for several months. Your. Your Instagram reels, they really spoke to me. They gave me life. They, they, they did something for me that just kept me hanging on. So thank you. If I haven't thanked you enough, thank you so much for that. Because that's why you move the way you move, bro. To help people like myself who are like, literally on the brink of saying I'm good. Like, I. It's almost easier to quit. I hate myself that much for entertaining this. X, Y and Z. I was ready to throw in the towel. I was tired of getting punched on by other people, by myself. Say, I'll get over it, Kev. Like, she's just a woman. Or, you know, you're better than this. I didn't feel good. How am I supposed to believe what I'm not feeling? You know what I'm Saying. But there was just something about you coming straight at me and saying, like, look, this is what it is. You can have what you believe you're capable of having, but you gotta step into it. You gotta commit to it. You can't operate from a place of fear, because, honestly, let's be real with each other. If you want different results, you got to approach things differently than you usually do. You can't expect the same results. You can't expect different results doing the same thing.
Yep.
And if you think that I'm wrong, challenge me. I dare you.
Yeah.
All you're gonna do is delay yourself, bro.
Yeah.
But one day, one day or another, you're gonna come around and you're gonna be like, bro. Like, I should have just. I should have listened. Shoulda, woulda, coulda. Let's start now. It's never too late. Better late than never.
Yeah.
I'm 35, and I just found God, bro. Better late than never. I'm ready for judgment, bro. I'm ready. I'm ready for that day already. I'm ready for that day because I know how I'm moving.
Yeah. Yeah. You're producing fruit now, man. You're a fruitful man now, man.
I'm hungry, bro.
Yeah, you are.
I'm always hungry. I want all the smoke.
Yeah, you are, bro. I love that, man. I love that. If you could encourage. Because, first of all, it's so true. It's like, it's so difficult to get men to open up, and I feel like there might be some men that get, like, mad at me right now, but that's okay. I feel like it's because you're a pansy and you want to blame everybody else. Like, well, if somebody would just open up. Well, here we are. Here we are having the conversations. Like, there. There's a huge conversation right now around men's mental health, and men are still playing victims. There's like a. A massive conversation, massive movement. You're seeing it in the ufc, bro. You're seeing it in sports. People are literally talking about it. And everyone, like King Ryan, boxer in that area, same thing, talking about it. And instead of us as men taking advantage that. Of that and saying, hey, I got some money to work through. Who can help?
We're.
We're sitting here going, like, who? Can I just cry on your shoulder and do nothing about it? And then just keep coming to cry on your shoulder and keep coming like, that's. That's not. That's not going to do anything for you. You got to Process your emotions. Yes. But then you got to start doing the thought work like you did Kevin. The only reason why you're moving different is because you're thinking different. And the only reason you're thinking different is because I showed you a practice practically in your face. Hey, what you're thinking is actually affecting your feelings and. And it's affecting the way you're moving. And by the way, what you're thinking, it could be a completely lie, or it could be completely true, depending on what you want it to be. What do you want? What's your choice? It all comes down to a choice. And you absolutely chose life. You chose faith. You chose I am enough. You chose I am worthy. And so then all of a sudden, you start feeling worthy, you start feeling enough. And then you start showing up that way. And then now you're like, bro, I can't lose. My result in my life is even if I got let go, I can't lose. Even if this didn't work out, I still can't lose. And for some reason, life hasn't been like, gravy. But you're still not losing, man.
Absolutely, bro. Yeah. No, it's. It's so true. And I appreciate you for expounding on that because, you know, like. Like I told you originally, like, I can't even go back in my mind and try to pretend I know what it was like to be in that month of November, December, talking to you, pouring my guts out, playing that victim's card over and over again until you just said, bro, like, listen to what I'm saying. Apply it to your life. What are you afraid of? You're at rock bottom. It don't get any worse, but it can certainly get better.
Yeah.
So let's start moving accordingly. Because what you're doing is not working. Because if it was, you wouldn't need me. This is your season for the 2.0 version of yourself to be discovered. We were all born to walk a certain way, and God wants that so desperately for us, but we gotta want it equally. It's like a drug addict, bro. Like, it could be my brother, for example. And I'm like, bro, don't you think mom, like, is not worried about you non stop? Like, you're wrapping your car around trees and you're almost killing yourself and you're overdosing. Like, don't you care? Don't you feel bad? Nah, bro, he just wants his fix.
Mm.
Because that's the easy choice. It's like, bro, it's like we're Being programmed to date, not to side note. But, like, think about it. We live in a very fast paced, convenient world. Yeah, you want fast pace? You want the easy results, bro? Go eat at McDonald's. Let's see how you feel. You'll be on the bath, you'll be on the toilet in 20 minutes, I promise you.
Boy, is that.
Is that fruit? Is that what you want? Or do you want to be patient and take the road less traveled and. And wait 45 minutes to an hour and 30 minutes to enjoy a nice steak dinner? Think about it. Do you want to choose convenience or do you want to take the road less travel? Because high risk is high reward. Yeah, the casino taught me that, bro. It don't take a genius to figure this out.
I love you.
I was a gambler, bro. Yeah. Every once in a blue moon, I might throw a sport bed in here and there. But I had to. I was like, I'm getting too silly now. But this is when I had all the time in the world to sit in my sorrows and be like, oh, man. Like, I'm just trying to distract myself from my truce. I wasn't being honest with myself. How am I supposed to be honest with you? And that's where I feel men get stuck, bro. Not to call any of the men out in particular in the group, but, like, walking your truth. You hate life right now. Good. Good. I want you to hate life. I want you to be where you're at. Because now I'm gonna take you and bring you to the next level. Yeah. If you're willing, you wouldn't be here. If you thought life was dandy, you wouldn't even be here, bro. We wouldn't even know each other. But you're here with intention for a reason. Because God said, it's your time. This is your opportunity, bro. If I came to God and I said, God, I'd love a million dollars, do you think he's just going to pop up? Boop. Hey, Kev. This is the Powerball number. Good luck, brother. No, he gives me an opportunity to create that fortune.
Yeah.
Even if it's not in the same form that I envisioned embarking on. I'm an insulator right now. Right. But now I like podcasts. Now I like creating content. Now I like helping people. I like speaking all my truths and exposing myself so that somebody else can be saved. Because it's no longer just about me. It's just not. Yeah.
Hey, what I'm hearing you say, bro, is that you just got activated, man.
Absolutely. Holy Spirit activated. He's ready to go.
He's ready to go. Hey, you're no longer Kevin 2.0. You're Kevin 3.0 right now, man.
Let's go.
Yeah, you just got another upgrade, bro. Another upgrade.
And listen, I'm Stay humble about it, because, again, the goal does not change. I still want to move the way that I'm moving because it's God driven now.
Yeah, Yeah, I love. It's for the kingdom, man. Bro, I want to do this, man, because I think. I don't think I could let this opportunity go where, you know, if you're listening to this right now, and Kevin's, like, authenticity and just who he is and his story, right, Is, like, moved you, and you're saying, hey, man, like, I've never received Jesus, and I want. I want the same relationship that these dudes are.
The.
These dudes are talking about God in a way that I haven't. I haven't heard nobody talk about a relationship with God this way, right? And you're saying, like, you want that, then, Kevin, if you're comfortable, bro, I would like for you to lead this prayer. I'm gonna teach you how to do it here on the podcast, and then anyone who's listening, I'm gonna teach you how to do it, too. So that if you want to lead your daddy, if you want to lead your cousin, if you want to lead your friend through a prayer like this, and you know that they need what you're about to receive and what g. What Kevin got not that long ago that set him on fire. If you're wanting to receive that, then you could repeat this prayer, too. So, Kevin, what I want you to do is I want you to lead them through repenting of their sins. It's number one. And then receiving Jesus into their heart and then committing their life to Jesus for the rest of their life. So as long as those three things are mentioned, they had to confess Jesus. When they receive Jesus, they confess that he is our Lord and Savior. That's all we got to do. It doesn't got to sound a specific way. Would you mind leading us through that, brother?
Absolutely. I'll give it my best shot, brother. You know, this is where I'm. This is where the growth comes, and I'm stepping into the discomfort. This is an example, y'. All, I might mess this up. I'm gonna keep it real with you, but I'm gonna walk with intention, because that is what it's about, right? All right. So if I heard you correctly, Coach Repent of your sins, which. Which means basically own up to your sins. Confess to your sins. Confess that. That God is your. Your saving grace. He's your Lord, your savior. And what was the third one you said?
Commit your life to him.
Commit your life. Okay. So kind of along the same terms. Okay. Dear Father God, we come to you today to please ask. Actually, I. I'm going to switch it up, actually. I declare that you deliver us. You deliver these viewers to repent of their sins. God, in your mighty name, I ask that you help them not only admit to their sins, but declare you as their lord Savior. I declare, Lord, that you help give them the courage to find themselves and their truths and their courage to really step into this season and really set it on fire. Lord, I ask that you give them everything that they've been missing to be able to get to this stage in their life, no matter how dark the room is. God, I ask that you allow them to be open minded, even if they don't believe in you to this day. I ask that you give them the courage to step into it and to ask themselves what it is that they need to change in their life so that they can declare you as your savior, as your father. And I ask that you allow them to step into finding themselves in making sure that they have everything that they need to be their best and making sure that you are their holy savior in Jesus mighty name. Actually, you know what, Coach? Is there anything you want to add to that?
No, that was beautiful, man.
I repeated myself a little bit. But listen, this is what it's about, guys. I'm gonna stop for one second and just say this is uncomfortable for me because this is. Coach, this is new for me, right? This is my first time.
Hey, bro, I put you on blast, man, and you did amazing. I'm with it, bro.
I'm with it. And thank you so much. It's gonna take some time to hone that skill, guys, but it's about stepping into it. I'm sweating bullets right now, but I know God loves me, and he knows that my intentions are good and that he knows that I want what's best for y'. All. And that's why I'm here. That's why I'm here. So I can make a mistake in front of the world and still say God is good and that he knows that I love him and that my intention is to always walk in his mighty name. So y' all just saw me mess up to a degree. Live and live in color, and it don't matter because I don't feel judged by y'. All. I feel judged by him, period. Yeah. And he's not in Jesus mighty name.
Amen.
Amen. And all the people said amen.
Amen. Hey, and God's not judging you right now, bro. God is so happy with you right now and celebrating, and I want you to know, if you followed along with Kevin and you prayed that prayer, I want you to know something right now, okay? There's a whole bunch of angels, thousands of them, in heaven right now throwing a freaking party because you just decided to join the kingdom fam. That's what I like to call it, because that's what it is. It's a kingdom fam. And now guess what? I hope that you. I hope you like me in Kevin, because you're going to be spending eternity with us, and that's a long time. That's a long time for us to party together.
Absolutely. Yes, sir. And.
And I want you to know something that just happened, man. There's a. In heaven, there's this book, and it's called the. The Lamb's Book of Life. And the angels just opened it and they took a pen and they dipped in. I know this is going to sound creepy for anyone who's new, but they dipped it in Jesus's blood, okay? And the reason for that is because Jesus's blood is permanent and it's freedom, and it's sinless. And so what's happening is your name right now is being written down with perfection. That's what's happening in heaven, and it's gonna be there for all of eternity now. And so that just happened by you making a simple prayer and making that choice. And, bro, Kevin, thank you so much for being here on the podcast, bro. It's not gonna be the last time, by the way, before. Before I end this, Okay? I want everyone to know something. We're gonna let you guys in on a little secret, all right? Me and Guy have mentioned this a little bit, but we are looking to start a private community. A. I don't. We're not. We don't know what we're going to call it. It might be the holy and horny community, or it might be H squared or something different, something tactical. But we're going to open up a private community. And if you want to be a part of that, I want you guys to know, like, Kevin is going to be very involved in that community. I already shared vision with him about this. Right. And I want you to message us the word community. On Instagram, just go to. At Holy and Horny podcast. You'll see a picture of me and Guy Jones on there, right? And send us a message. Just very simple, the word community. And if you prayed that prayer, send us a message that just says Jesus. And if you prayed that prayer and you want to get plugged into a private community, send us a message that says Jesus and community. All righty. So I want to make sure I say that. But, Kevin, bro, thank you so much for being on here, man. Any last words before we. We log up, Log this thing off?
Listen, it's been an absolute pleasure to be on this podcast. I said it before, and I'll say it again. I love you, brother. I appreciate for. I appreciate you for being that stepping stone. For me to really step into my comfort, to step into my faith, it's. It's priceless, you know? So I just want to thank you time and time again. I never want you to forget how appreciative I am. So thank you so much. And thank you for all the listeners who are tuning in and resonated with my story and gave me the opportunity to really step into my discomfort even with that prayer. I feel really good, coach. I feel really good. And honestly, we're going to continue to prayer, honestly, because I want to get even more comfortable in speaking. I mean, listen, I might even go crazy with some tongues. You know what I'm saying? Like, I don't know. Yeah, I don't know, but I just want to tune in out and just. And just get lost in God always. So that was my. My stepping into it. So I hope y' all appreciated it, and thank you so much.
Of course, bro. I love you, man. Hey, make sure you guys, you share this with anybody. You feel like this is really going to help and bless, and I know it's going to help and bless anybody that listens to it. So just really just send it to all your friends and make sure that you guys subscribe to the channel. Follow us on Instagram at Holy and Horny Podcast and we will see you on the next episode. I love the Lord, and I love people that need the Lord. I'm just tired of being fake. And if I gotta be fake and.
I can't be real, the Bible says, confess your sin to one another. I love you. I honor you, man.
You are like your fruit of the ministry, man.
