Good morning HubSpot Nation. It is time to Wake Up Customer Platform with your unofficial HubSpot Updates morning show where we help you discover the platform value you already own. Chris I'm Chris Carolyn, joined by my co host George B. Thomas. We are here every weekday morning to make sure you're not sleeping on HubSpot street capabilities. If you're joining live, drop a hello in the comments and let us know what you're building in HubSpot today. Happy July 25 Friday, 2025 how you doing George?
Doing good. How are you doing?
I'm doing all right. I, you know, missing Casey from the show, you know it's hard to say only two hosts at the beginning.
I know you struggle with that.
I've noticed over the last couple days, yeah it can. But she's having a good time over in Euroland so we're happy to push on without her. We've got some great stuff somehow every day right now and it's crazy to think about like still one month away from inbound or a little more than one month and yeah it's probably going to speed up somehow like impact number of updates.
Can you even imagine?
And that's, that's why we're here. But also so much going on today to bring this kind of education to you. So I'm just going to hit this schedule real quick trying to be a forcing function. Imagine when we can coordinate all these things that are happening in the ecosystem together. Working hard on that. But right after this show I'm going to be getting real nerdy with Pedro talking about the revenue model from the winning by Design Revenue Architecture Framework. We started the show last week give a breakdown of all six models and this is the first one that we're going to dive into trying to help people with their, their data infrastructure and HubSpot. We've got John from the John Svenson from the Profoundly Community doing some bi weekly office hours right after that at 9 o' clock central. Nice Rocketeer Community doing Power hour. This is clearly how much fun Casey is having on her vacation is that she is able to post about this power hour today that is at 10:30 or Scheduling Central. Yeah she's actually really good at at central or at at scheduling.
Yeah.
So a little bit after that after the office hours and that's a, a Google Meet that you got to get the link to. So no place to sign up. Drop a comment here. Earns Rocketeer Building the road to Inbound. Super excited today I got Shanna Summer Sumers, not sure sorry about the last name here from the Spot community talking about what's going to be going on at Inbound related to the Spot. Really super excited to chat with her. Never met her before. Excited for that one. And then we're wrapping up with the HubSpot helpline. Again Casey will not be joining us but we've got a special guest expert, Matthew Ruxton.
Hey.
Will be joining us later today as an admin on the inside.
Nice.
Always love his perspective because he's going, he's in it every day working with the users and customers of all different types.
So unlike us who sit on the beach and eat bon bons and really don't use HubSpot, we just talk about it all the time.
Yeah. It's just a different, different point of view is all I'm saying.
I know I'm just, I'm just giving you a hard time brother. But dang, that's a lot of helpful humans right there.
Like yeah, that's the day I think we might have to start wearing orange on on Fridays too instead of Wednesdays.
But I'll tell you.
Yeah, and that's only like I, I know there's a bunch of other stuff going on. Right.
We're doing two women of HubSpot interviews today. So there you go. There's just some good content being made, that's for sure.
Yeah. And maybe in the next couple weeks we'll be announcing some fun stuff from the profoundly perspective forever trying to curate and like bring some coordination to all these great events that people are doing separately just to try and make it easier to one get to get to see what you want to see but also try to manage the overwhelm that we have. Like when you see these things like hit your feed, you're like oh, it's another one. And it's either now or never that I interact with this thing and too often it's probably never because it's just get, get overwhelmed by the day. So trying to put that together for you folks. Kind of like this updates.
Well I, well before you move Forward, I feel like profoundly is trying to give them what they want, what they really, really want.
That's one way to put it. All right, speaking of mobile inbound calling, first update for the day. I'm starting to come come around to calling being an important aspect of businesses, if you can imagine that. What is it? Answer incoming calls to your HubSpot numbers directly from the mobile app. See who's calling with full contact preview. Manage call Recording that one's key. Manage Call recordings and automatically log everything to your CRM. That one might be super key too.
Yeah.
When you miss a call, get instant push notifications. With direct voicemail access, this delivers complete calling functionality across desktop and mobile. One thing we did get to show last week on the HubSpot helpline is, and I was showing client yesterday, like the voicemail summary that the AI does. Oh my gosh. It's next level, George.
There you go. So why does all this matter? No more blind forwarding. Previously forwarded calls to mobile meant losing contact details and HubSpot features. But now your mobile app works just like desktop, keeping all call context and capabilities wherever you work. Love it.
Oh, there's that word again. Context.
Oh, I thought you were gonna say wherever.
That could work too.
Yeah.
Wherever you are, HubSpot. Wherever, anywhere, anytime. Beautiful thing.
Yep.
Speaking of someplace else to connect to. HubSpot Chat GPT. HubSpot Connector for chat GPT is live coming out of beta.
Oh, yeah. I guess it has always. It has been in beta, huh?
Yeah. What is it? We've expanded. Oh, oh. HubSpot's connector for chat GPT. Now it's just as good at answering quick everyday questions as it is at Deep Research and Analysis. We rolled it out first to help with Deep research, giving you PhD level insights from your HubSpot contacts context right in ChatGPT. Now we've expanded the search functionality to answer quick everyday questions in addition to deep research. With HubSpot's connector for chat GPT, you can now ask questions ranging from simple how many high priority tickets were created last week in HubSpot? Too complex. Analyze seasonal patterns in ticket volume by category to forecast support team staffing needs for the upcoming quarter. That's specific across chat and Deep research, respectively. The HubSpot connector for chat GPT helps you get actionable insights grounded in your CRM data. For inspiration and example prompts, please visit the prompt library.
Yeah, definitely go to that. I sent that to a cl. I was on a webinar and found this link and you definitely need to check that out. But why does it matter? With our unified customer platform, you can access your HubSpot context directly within the AI tool of your choice. With over 75% of HubSpot customers already using ChatGPT, how do they know that? Anyway, I'll agree with them. This Update brings your HubSpot context to chat for quick one off searches to accelerate your daily productivity. For more complex needs, turn to deep research to analyze trends across multiple sources. I wish I knew what those sources were. I think I do. But anyway, with detailed cited reports.
Note the connector is currently only available in the web version of ChatGPT. Yep, that's been interesting. It happens in Claude 2. There's like half the connectors work on desktop only the other half are on on browser or web. So hey, I'm just happy they're getting it out there in whichever way they can. This is really cool progress for sure and can't resist just to since I opened it up. Wow. Talk about a prompt library.
It ain't no joke.
Yeah, not just a few prompts. Yeah.
That's why I stumbled across this link and was immediate like and let me send to this client that I know has asked questions and is deeply involved in this thing.
Yeah.
Yep.
Pro tip, these prompts probably work for other ways that you might be accessing HubSpot data.
Yeah. Or good blueprints for other things that you might just tweak it a little bit.
Yes. All right, I guess we can move on to number three. Social media Approvals in private beta. What is it? Social Approvals introduces a streamlined workflow within the social publishing tool, enabling users to formally request and manage approvals for for their social media content before it goes live. You can now ensure brand consistency and content quality by incorporating an approval step directly into your social media publishing process.
Yeah. So why does this matter? Social approvals help marketing teams ensure social media content is high quality, which it needs to be consistent with the brand. Definitely need that and reviewed official.
