Speaker A describes the motivation and goals for a unified developer platform: to be easy to get started with, extensible for future features, and compatible with existing/legacy applications. They announce a new "Legacy Apps" page that consolidates private and public apps into a single entry point to view and manage apps and to guide developers on next steps.
When we started building our developer platform, there was a litany of issues that we saw. We needed to make a unified platform that was easy to get started with and extensible for any new features that we wanted to build in the future. We wanted to make sure that your old apps still worked and still functioned within their portals. That's why we created the new Legacy Apps page, so you can see all of your apps, both private and public, all in one spot. Now, there's a single entry point for you to be able to build and figure out exactly what you need to do.
