Break of Dawn Successfully Implements ClickUp in 4 Weeks

Erica Prush, Director of Content Strategy at Break of Dawn, walks through how the PR agency set up ClickUp in four weeks with help from Zenpilot and a client coach. The system fixed their chaos around managing client work and got the team actually collaborating instead of dropping things.
Being that we're a startup and I'm sure a lot of agencies watching this are too. You know how busy you are, you know how much client work takes up the majority of your day. If I didn't have the organization and the accountability and the access to a coach, I don't think the implementation would have happened in just four weeks. I think I would have kept putting it off. That has happened with other project management system implementations that we have tried. It just was not a priority and just never got done. And we stayed in the same rut of the same processes and the same old issues never got addressed. Whereas now because of the implementation with Zenpilot, we went from a, from nothing, from no project management system to one that is ready to use in four weeks, I would estimate it would have taken like three to four times longer if we didn't do the implementation and way more time as far as our internal team goes. So yeah, I say you absolutely have to do it if you want to get the most out of it. Hi, my name is Erica Prush, I'm director of Content Strategy at Break of dawn, which is a startup digital PR agency. As a startup I think it was important for us to remain scrappy and adaptable while also setting up ourselves for hopefully huge growth right now while we're just a couple of employees, it was really important for myself and the founder to solidify a process that would make it really easy to organize our work and onboard new people and maintain solid organized client relationships. Before we were, you know, having individual experience in different agencies, able to organize loosely based on like various to do lists and our own experience. But the increasing need to work together, have visibility and set ourselves up for growth is the reason why we decided to invest in Zenpilot. Working with Zenpilot was awesome. It was a very organized, structured system. I really appreciated the training videos that we can refer back to the one on one with our client coach, Maggie. I'd say that was probably the most high value experience. Just being able to play around and ask your questions and kind of develop your processes in ClickUp and then solidify that learning live on the call. So having that access to a coach for the four weeks and getting your kind of learning and understanding of the tool and encouraged and the way that the coach approaches it is more so for long term. So you are able to develop your own knowledge and get your learning encouraged like I mentioned. And it slowly over the four weeks instills a confidence in your own ability to manage your workspace which I think is the biggest thing. I'd say Zenpilot really prioritizes your own development and, you know, customizing your own. Your workspace for you, and not only for your work, but also for how your brain works. And the person who manages that really gets encouraged to make it their own, which, you know, is awesome to give that kind of independence to their clients throughout the learning process.
