This is a YouTube video titled "Can I Bulk Create Many-to-One Relationships in ClickUp?" containing an instructional explanation about managing task relationships in ClickUp, specifically how to bulk create many-to-one relationships using traditional dependency or task linking methods, and the limitations with custom relationships. The content is a single-speaker tutorial or guide recorded on January 12, 2023.
Vox is wondering whether they can bulk create a many to one relationship in ClickUp. For example, we might have one project and five tasks. Let's relate all five of these project tasks to the project itself. To do this using traditional relationships, you can go in and bulk select whatever task you want to select here and once you do so you'll see the Bulk Action toolbar appear at the top of your screen. In this menu you can choose to set dependency relationships in bulk so I could connect all of these to one project or I could choose to use task linking saying these things are connected but not necessarily dependencies. Notice there's currently not a way to set custom relationships that you have defined in bulk, so if you are looking to do bulk edits like this you're probably going to find the traditional relationships of dependency or tasklink as preferable. If you're using a custom relationship you can make it happen via automations, but it's a little bit less convenient.
