Kimberly wants to be able to set a custom field based on another task in ClickUp, but is it possible? If we go inside ClickUp's automation wizard, we can see that we can set dynamic values for things like the task description or the task name, but if we go on down to the custom field area, it looks promising at first. But unfortunately, all custom fields in ClickUp that you can set in an automation require you to hard type them, meaning whatever I put here is always going to be the same, regardless of the information of the trigger task. So how can Kimberly make this happen? Well, she's going to have to go outside of ClickUp, use something like Zapier, integrately make use one of those tools to set up this automation. In those tools you can typically adjust things Dynamically, but using ClickUp's built in automations, we just don't have that option.
