This is a YouTube video titled "Can the ClickUp Time Tracker remind me that it's on?" containing a single-speaker explanation from December 22, 2022, discussing the lack of a built-in reminder feature in ClickUp's time tracker and suggesting two manual workarounds for users to avoid tracking excessive time accidentally.
So Jose is wondering whether there's a way to have the ClickUp time tracker remind you that it's on so you don't, you know, leave it on the whole weekend and then come back with 72 hours tracked. Unfortunately the answer is no. There's not currently a built in way to do this, but there are two workarounds you can try. Workaround number one is pretty manual and that's taking your phone and setting a one hour recurring kind of alarm pomodoro style and every time that alarm goes off which might just buzz on your desk, use that as a prompt to check your time TR tracker and make sure it's accurate and have that reminder go on every hour on the hour during your workday. Not for everybody but that's an option. The second option is that at the end of each week or work day just have a routine recurring task to double check your time tracking. I know ideally ClickUp would just change this feature but right now those are our options. Jose.
