This is a YouTube video titled "Candidate screening - what they say and how they say it." containing a monologue or single-speaker discussion from June 22, 2024, focusing on the process and signals used during candidate screening, particularly emphasizing communication quality and responsiveness in video replies.
Asked four specific questions in that loom video as well, and asked them to reply with a video message as well. And I specifically asked for a loom video, which not everybody did. And so that was really helpful as basically the screening interview. So that next step was then getting those back. And so some of the signals that, you know, 90% of it was, what's the content of that reply when they sent it? And the 10% signals is how long did it take people to respond? And totally fine if it's like, hey, I've got this going on at home, or I've got whatever else, but do you get that message from them saying, hey, I can't really? There were a good chunk of folks who left a really good impression on me by saying, saw this come through. I've got this trip. I can't reply for three days. I'll have something to you on Friday. And that's the type of communication that I want out of this person, not the person who lets it sit for three days and then follows up with me.
