This is a YouTube video titled "Create Custom Deal Currencies" containing a single-speaker presentation from January 20, 2023. The speaker explains a new beta feature that allows users to create custom deal currency properties that reflect the record's currency rather than the company's default currency, improving consistency in multi-currency deal management.

Here I am on the product updates page. The beta you want to opt into for this one is create custom deal currency property that uses record currency. Very catchy name, very transparent. At least we know what it does, right? So let's go check this out. If we go to the property section and we're going to create a deal property, here is what you're going to do. You assign it to a group, give it a catchy name, and you're going to select number. And there are different formats for numbers. I don't know if you're aware of this. You can do formatted unformatted or Currency and currency. Like my. My currency default here, I have other currency set up. My default currency is USD and so you see the dollar symbol here. But on the next page in the rules, check out this little checkbox. Use record currency instead of company currency. Set property value with the currency defined for the record. So I check this box and. And now if a deal is in some other currency, then this little custom property is going to be in that same currency. So it'll be consistent with other amounts on this deal record. Awesome. It's now in beta. Like I said, check it out. Let me know what you think and let me know if you have any questions.
