This is a YouTube video titled "CRM Custom Objects UI [Out Of Beta]" created on January 19, 2023. The content features a single speaker explaining updates to the custom objects management tools within a CRM user interface, highlighting new features such as the removal of beta status, improved visualization of object relationships, and enhanced usability for users managing custom objects.
Hey, friends. The tools for managing custom objects inside the UI are now out of beta, which is great. That means if you want them, you no longer have to find that beta and opt into it. But there are a few final touches we put on before releasing them from beta, and I want to show those to you now. Let's check it out. So here I am on my custom objects settings, where you can now create custom objects and you can edit and delete custom objects. But we also added this see where object is used thing. So if you want to see reports, records, lists, all the places a custom object is used, you can see that here in this sidebar. Awesome. The other piece of this is the visualization, the like map of how all these things work together that used to be here in the settings sidebar. It has moved. It is up in reports now under data management, there's data model. And so if you come to the data model, here is where you can see all of your objects listed out. You can select and unselect ones to see how they're connected. One improvement we've made here is we've gotten the feedback. It's hard to see, like, how, like, it looks like Vehicles is connected to pets, right? Vehicles is actually associated contacts. That's a little ambiguous given the way we grid this. But look, if I click on Vehicles, it, it highlights what other objects it's like, right? So if I select contacts now, I can see all the ones it's associated with. We get a little bit of color coding here. Very nice. Much, much easier to understand. This is all now live. It's out of beta. So if you have access to custom objects, you have both these things. Check them out, let me know what you think and let me know if you have any questions.
