DHUG LIVE AT INBOUND

Dennis, Anton, and Carter Mackay discuss developer experience and new HubSpot features at the Inbound event. They cover public app CRM cards and community engagement at the conference.
And we are live at Inbound, folks. Welcome to Live at Inbound with the developer hug. I am Dennis, developer Advocate at Yeol HubSpot, and guess who's next to me.
I'm. Hi, I'm the founder of graphicsbot and I'm also at Inbound.
So you can see the. Behind us. I'm not sure. The Internet's really terrible here, so we apologize in advance for anything that is not working for you. But hey, we're here. And also we are joined by a. Come on in here, my friend. I'll let you have this and so you can introduce yourself.
I'm no one special.
I'm insert name here at inbound. No.
John McLaren.
Yeah. I hope everyone's having a blast. If you've been watching the live stream, the HubSpot official live stream, I hope you're enjoying that.
Are we back again?
I think we're back in service here, so. Oh, hello there, Mike Eastwood. Come here, my friend. Come here. We are live right now to a developer audience. D Hug and tell me what's going on.
It's time for a beer.
Yes, it's very much time for a beer. So today, what have you seen today that has blown your mind? Or if you. Has something blown your mind today other than me?
Yeah, it's getting hugs from people that I've only ever seen. Like that big on zoom. It's like. It's the people. It's the. That the connection and the thing is coming down the escalator. Like the generosity of the people in the community is what makes us different from any other software, organization, platform, call it whatever, anything. It's that the people I met today that are in the community helping people all the time, giving thankless. Well, they get thank.
But. Yeah, yeah, no, the. The sessions are good, but the community that you get to see around here, the connections you make is actually what this is all about. And I totally agree with you. Have you gone to any sessions?
Not many. Because I'm.
Yeah, you're meeting people, you're making the money, you're paying the bills. Money.
Yeah.
Hopefully the money will come cool while you're here. We have some developer swag. If you've not had it yet, that John is going to feed over to you. I can open it up so you.
Can see it better.
I can't pull off orange.
Alrighty.
What size are you?
If I don't have the size? Yeah. Anton.
Yeah.
Tell me about your day.
It was something like. I also had like every minute booked or planned through, but in the end, it feels like I was community space because like I've mentioned previously, it was like. So for me, Inbound is all about the people. Right? Because all these sessions are great.
But.
For me, it's all about meeting the people you're talking to constantly through all the various platforms like Slack, Community, Connect, whatever. So I'm constantly chit chatting with somebody and there's always somebody who just pops up and hey, how you doing? Like, and I. I would say it's one thing that is about inbound. Right. So meeting all the people. I mean, we had the virtual inbounds a few years ago, which were good, but the inbound experience, a complete different topic. Right.
So true and common.
Right. So this is my second time in person. Complete different experience. Yeah.
Yeah. So did you see the spotlight? Did you see the keynote?
Yeah.
And what you think? Are you. Are you sold on this breeze business?
I mean, come on.
Ladies and gentlemen, we're getting a candid moment here from. From our.
I would say it like that. It's a. It's not a great thing. It's so new. I don't have a true opinion on that because I haven't had the chance to test it out.
Yeah. But.
Is AI is a great helper, but it. It should not replace the person.
Enhances. Right, enhances.
It can enhance your workflow, but whatever you are doing right, therefore, breathe. It might be a. I can't too much about it because as I said, I hadn't had a chance to test it out, but. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll see.
And one thing that hasn't gotten a lot of spotlight yet, but is app car are now available. The UI extensions. It was only for private apps and it's been extended out to public apps now. So the private apps, you know, that's for service hub and sales hub, Enterprise. Now that's in the public space. It goes full tiers of HubSpot, so from starter and free all the way up to enterprise on all the hubs. Really cool. We'll be talking a lot about more of the booth in the coming days. And Anton, real quickly.
Yeah.
Before we head out. What are you excited? Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold on, folks.
Oh, whoa, whoa, Whoa.
Sorry. Carter MacKay, you might have. This fellow here is at Yule HubSpot inbound. Of course, my friend.
I mean, I'm definitely not at Dreamforce this week. I.
Should be if you're.
If you're a CRM developer. Is HubSpot inbound this week? Yeah. Yes, absolutely. Excellent.
Tell us your day.
Okay. So, I mean, it was awesome. Yesterday was partner day. Today, I mean, there's a lot more people, a lot more energy. People are super excited about public app CRM cards.
Yes.
I've had way too many conversations today about people wanting to upgrade their app experience and just build out better apps, more connected apps, higher integrations. With HubSpot, I think we're about to see a whole lot of apps just like that. You can now build more surfaces. Yeah.
Yeah.
We're going to have a lot less iframes, a lot less disconnected experiences. Your users are going to think it is HubSpot.
Right.
That's. @ the end of the day, you want to build HubSpot and.
