This is a YouTube video titled "Don't Perform. Just Communicate! | George B. Thomas Speaking #speaker" containing a talk by George B. Thomas recorded in February 2025. The content focuses on the idea that when creating video content, the goal is to communicate and add value rather than to perform, encouraging a natural and authentic approach to video communication.
Now, I am going to tie back to that. I did say in the beginning that video is a way to communicate. One of the things that I would hope that you would also realize as we move forward today in this talk is that if you're communicating, you don't need to perform. One of the things that people will get all sorts of nervous about and start to jack up their videos is because they feel like when somebody says lights, camera, action, which, by the way, nobody ever does in your business, you do not stand in front of your camera and go, lights, camera, action. You just get in front of your camera and you start to create a video. So, but there's some thought process around while I'm in front of the camera, I don't have to perform. I do not want you to perform, although I love to perform in front of the camera. You need to communicate. That is your sole goal. To communicate and add value to the world that could potentially be listening. That's the way that you need to look at video.
