This is a YouTube video titled "Field Level View Permission [HubSpot Update]" containing a presentation or tutorial from February 21, 2023, explaining new field-level view permission features for enterprise users in a CRM system. The speaker details how users can restrict visibility of sensitive properties to certain users or teams, discusses current limitations, and invites feedback.
All right, enterprise friends, you now have field level view permissions. So for a while you've been able to restrict who could edit specific properties, individual fields. Now you can restrict who can even see them. So check this out. Here I am on my properties page and I have. I happen to have this super secret property I don't want very many people to be able to view. It's got very sensitive information, you guys. So we're going to assign it to users and teams and this has existed for a while, we can assign it to users in teams and we used to be able to say view and edit or view only. But now we have a no access option. So if we set it to no action for these teams, if these people try to view it, they will just not see it. They will see a little like eyeball icon with a slash through it saying no views for you. You cannot access this information. This is now in beta to all enterprise users. There are some limitations, which is why it's still got the beta tag on it. One thing that's very important to know is there are a few areas where this information can still be viewed. Even if you block my ability to view a particular field, if I go look in a report, for example, that uses that view or uses that property, I will be able to see the information in the report. So best solution for that right now is if there are sensitive reports, you don't want people having access to block their access to the whole reporting tool. We will get this fixed. But for now, anywhere in the CRM on records and those sorts of things, they are not going to be able to see the data inside these properties if their access is blocked. Check it out.
