Flag Your Legacy CRM Cards for Easy Customer Updates

Hey y', all, It's Brooke with HubSpot. Today I'm going to talk about how you can help your customers update your legacy CRM cards to the new UI Extensions. App Cards UI Extension are react based cards that enhance your customers experience. However, some users may still be using your legacy cards. To help customers update to this new experience we we've introduced feature flags that you can easily add to your legacy cards. Let's take a look at what these feature flags look like inside of our HubSpot account. We're going to go to a contact record page to see this. So in the main navigation we're going to hover over CRM and then choose Contacts. Next we can choose any contact by clicking on its name. In our right sidebar you can see that we have this welcome card which is part of the legacy cards and it now has this yellow feature flag that says this app now offers new and approved cards. It also includes a link to start setting up the new experience. When a customer clicks on this, it will go ahead and bring them to this new backend page to show them the different cards that they have available. So for example, in this one you have cards available for tickets and contacts and you can put them in a lot of different places within the HubSpot UI from the help desk to the sidebar to the middle column. Doing this allows your customers to know that they need to upgrade their experience so that they can have the full range of all the new stuff that you're offering them them. You can also go to the connected Apps page in your settings and see all of your apps in one place. In this table we now have an alerts column and this alert column will let the admin know if there are new features available for different cards. So when they hover over new features it will say this app now offers new and improved cards and it'll give them the link to set up those cards.
