George B. Thomas shows how to remap dates when you apply a ClickUp template manually using the Use Template and Remap flow. The feature doesn't work with automated template triggers, so he suggests using automations with relative due dates or rescheduled dependencies instead.

If you save a template in ClickUp of a list or a task with dates in it, you can remap that template at the time of application. All you need to do is click Use Template just like you normally would. Click on the Remap option and choose the date you'd like to remap to. This looks a little different if it's a task versus a list, but it's basically the same. However, this does not work if you're having a template being applied automatically. Currently, those two features do not work together. So if you want to have dates be remapped, it's either manual or you want to use an automation in the first place. So rather than applying a template, have an automation add a subtask due five days later, or something like that. But the remapping feature itself requires manual involvement, either at the time of creation or remapping things afterwards. Using rescheduled dependencies or remapping subtasks.
