How I TRACK my LinkedIn conversations in HubSpot

Veronica shows how to sync LinkedIn conversations into HubSpot using the Surf Chrome extension. Track prospects and their messages in one place instead of jumping between apps.
LinkedIn is the place to be if you want to engage with your B2B prospects. And if you've already found a few promising folks, you've connected with them on LinkedIn, you've dropped them a DM and you're starting to chat. It may seem like things are going pretty well, and let's hope they are, but there's a little snag. You've got to punch all of those conversations, all those messages into your CRM. You don't forget anything. You have all of the background info that you might need, and your manager is not on your back for not logging on all of that into your CRM. This is probably the biggest bummer about prospecting and selling on LinkedIn. It's the admin tasks, it's the adding stuff into HubSpot. Instead of being able to just do your own thing, sell, talk to people, do what you do best. But I've got a solution for you that's going to make it literally a breeze. I've integrated my HubSpot CRM with LinkedIn through a Chrome extension, and now I can sync all of my conversations that I have with my leads on LinkedIn to HubSpot in literally one click. My name is Veronica, and in this video I'm going to show you how to do exactly that. Connect HubSpot to LinkedIn and push all of your messages to your CRM in one click of a button. Let's go. So the first step, of course, is to download the Surf Chrome extension, which will integrate the two platforms for you. So just go to surf.com and from our website, click Start for free to install the extension. You will be redirected to the Chrome Store, from which you'll be able to add the extension to Chrome. Click Add Extension. Just like that. Serve's been installed to your browser and now you need to connect your CRM. So here I will select HubSpot and give it all of the necessary permissions so that Surf can transfer data from LinkedIn to my CRM. So click HubSpot, you'll be asked to log in and select the account that you have. Your CRM choose account. So just like that, when everything's connected, Surf will open up LinkedIn for you. Please do keep in mind, though, that if you're the first person from your team to be connecting Surf to HubSpot, you might need to give it permissions. And if you don't have the necessary, necessary permissions inside your HubSpot account, just ask your admin to do so. So now that everything is set up. You'll notice that there is a slight change in the layout of your prospect's profile, and that is because we've added this overlay that says add to CRM, from which you would be able to add a contact into HubSpot in just one click of a button. And this will make it easier to then synchronize all of your conversation activity with them to your CRM. Another cool thing is that while we're transferring that contact to HubSpot from LinkedIn for you, we'll also run a search through multiple databases to make we find their missing contact information. Because sometimes people just don't display their contact information on LinkedIn, and rightfully so, we don't judge them, but it's not going to stop us from reaching out to them. Because Surf will find any email or phone number that is missing and mobile phones included, and will also validate all of the found emails with zero bounce to make sure they're legit and that when you're emailing someone, your email will not land in spam or bounce. When the contact's been enriched and transferred to HubSpot, you can go ahead and view it inside your CRM to double check that everything is there. You can Here you'll see that Matthew's contact record has been created inside HubSpot for me, and all of the information that he had on LinkedIn or we've enriched has also been transferred here. Now for the actual fun part, let's drop him a message. Actually, one more thing. If you have Surf connected, you'll be able to create and reuse customizable personalizable message templates to make reaching out to people on LinkedIn a little bit easier, faster and more scalable without losing personal touch. So you could use a template or just drop a message saying, hello, Matthew, how's the weather? And click Send. Now, this is where the magic happens. This little button right here, sync Chat. When I press on it, all of my conversation will be transferred into HubSpot here we're just letting you know that from now on, this conversation will be synced inside HubSpot. So if you want to discuss personal matters, I suggest you keep it on a different platform or disable the sync if you like. So if you want to disable the sync, just hover over synced and click disable chat. And now you can safely discuss personal matters if you wish so. But don't just believe me when I say that it's synced. Let's go and check that Inside HubSpot. Shall we refresh the page? And here is the new activity. Veronica has logged a LinkedIn conversation. Hello math, how is the weather? And that is exactly what we messaged him. So there you have it. Pretty easy, straightforward and a huge time saver. If you want to test it out for yourself, please do give it a try. Surf is free for 14 days and I'll drop the link in the description of this video so you can check it out.
